Whole Foods Market Review

Heaven! What other word describes walking into this downtown Austin location! I've taken many a friend here when they visit and have never seen a disappointed face. I live about 2-3 blocks away and grocery shop about once a week. The set up is fantastic for any food (I have a preference for the pizza). They have a burr grinder in the coffee area that I love using when I buy coffee beans for espresso when I get home. The company makes a point to label foods for causes which I appreciate based on my personal beliefs...but to each their own on that. In the end, walking into the downtown Whole Foods is an experience all should try once. You might be drawn back for another visit :-)

The original Whole Foods Market bears flagship qualities. The in house barbeque is tasty as is the giant salad bar. (Largest salad bar that I have ever seen)

Whole Foods flagship store is the place to go! We never skip out on Whole Foods when we are in town.

I love the spacious layout of the store, larger selections especially local produce and foods. There are at least 3 spots within the store for a snack or full meal. A couple of them serve drinks. One of the serves seafood. Another is drink station with tables where you can sit and eat premade foods. A Japanese food station serves ramen and rice bowls. I would highly recommend a drink and some food here.

Love the store and the convenience.

My quintessential Austin experience, buying some wine, cheese, olives, bread, smoked salmon, and eating it there as a diy happy hour. Cheaper and sometimes more satisfying!

This location is still the best Whole Foods I've been to. I love all the dine-in options, the gelato especially. Also the location is so convenient. Don't even bother trying to park street level, just drive down into the garage and save yourself 5-10 minutes.

I love Whole Foods. They consistently have a wonderful selection of local & ethically produced products. The one in the heart of downtown Austin is especially nice.

It's good to be at a store that most employees can give you information about their products.

The only place to shop, easy and now saves me so much money once Amazon took over. The cafe and food bar is quick and easy, although they can lower their price per lb, other than that, love coming here!

Nice place to go grocery shopping, if you want organic. A little bit expensive, but you get what you pay for.

Great location and non-GMO, organic food. Plenty of prepared food to choose from. Staff is usually friendly. Free WiFi. It's usually crowded and parking can be hectic.

This is just an amazing place to get exposed to amazing food from around the world! We love the fact that each member in the family can find something exciting to eat. Be sure to check out their dessert selection...

I was just perusing around, checking out the seafood, when I asked the employee about the fresh salmon. He graciously offered me different samples, and I fell in love with it. Bought a pound of the candied salmon, just to eat and share with my friends. I wish I could remember his name, but if you're reading this, dude, you're awesome. And my co-worker thanks you for getting him hooked, too.

Same as other WholeFood places, very good variety and convenient for a quick lunch or supper.

This is a ridiculously huge Whole Foods! I usually try to avoid Whole Foods for smaller, independently run shops or co-ops. But this one is pretty tempting, just because of how massive it is. Plus, they have great food options. We got vegan breakfast tacos there and they were awesome, especially for the price.

Great location, nice staff, good collection of all kinds of snacks and daily grocery items, but do pay attention to some overpriced items! Loved the deli, even the dessert bar serves nice cannoli and cheese cake. When we can't decide what to have for lunch we go there to be inspired.

How can you not love Whole Foods? We always stop at this store when traveling through Austin. The whole neighborhood is wonderful.

I absolutely love Whole Foods Market, the only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because the sandwich bar always runs out of croissants, and I always want the California club that comes on a croissant. #firstworldproblems

My favorite place to be in Austin!! It is a huge interesting building filled with whole and nutritious food! There is also a play ground on the top floor!

I don't like it. It's too rich and snobby feeling. I prefer Central Market because of things like good name brands and live music. There's nothing appealing about whole foods particularly to me except the nice smells in the store.

Great salad bar, freak massage sushi, microbrew on tap and great meat counter.

Stopped in several times while in Austin for smoothies. They were really busy on our last morning in town and the smoothies weren't even mixed. I had whole chunks of bananas in mine. Pretty standard whole foods though.

Prices for some goods have changed slightly since Amazon took over.

Only one cashier at both express checkouts on a weekday at 6. Been in line forever while I stand here and watch my hot food get cold. I know lots of people who would love to work here if there s a staffing problem!

HQ! You can honestly just eat here as if it were a restaurant. We do it all the time.

What you'd expect in a Whole Foods, grocery-wise, but with a great bar and plenty of spots to grab freshly made food to eat in. You can get tacos, pizza, and more made to order. Parking can be tough.

First time at the whole foods market in Austin Texas and it was the biggest whole foods iv been in ever vary massive selection

They now have a new burger joint here called Next Level Burger... all vegan! Try it but avoid adding the mushrooms as they are way way over salty. If you haven't tried Vegan Nom or Arlos do yourself a favor and eat at those joints instead. You won't be disappointed.

Great WF with friendly staff, wide selection. I was visiting and expected something a bit more Wonkaesque for the flagship, but am spoiled by a couple of really big stores in Chicago.
