Attended with a party of twenty and were accommodated in a private room that was adequately sized. Servers were great, particularly one young lady who was absolutely outstanding. We started with a selection of cheese and crackers followed by incredible rolls. I ordered one of their signature cocktails, a Blackberry Sage Old Fashioned, and it was good but strong. Salad was okay, but came with only balsamic dressing. We were offered three entree options, grouper, NY strip or a vegetable dish. I chose the NY strip and wasn't impressed, as it was a bit tough and was laced with gristle. The sides and dessert were good, but not noteworthy. The facility was well kept and clean.

Worst dining experience in years! Went here 3 years ago and it was great! Boy have things changed! 3 servers, wine glass and water glass were chipped! Ordered 4 bottles of wine, they searched 15 mins each and came back with nothing, then offering options that were 3x what was ordered! 1 hour later dinner was served and still NO wine?? 25 minutes for another person to get a miller lite , oops they brought high life! Wasn t even busy, maybe there is a good reason!

Poor service, long wait, hour plus for food - then waiter states they do not have half of the food in the back to complete our order. Very poorly managed. Times have changed here. Wouldn't recommend to my enemy.

Nice atmosphere and decent food, but our waitress was horrible. We were constantly looking for her and waiting and waiting. She completely forgot to bring our drink order and was non-chalant about it. I won t be coming here again.

This place is a lot nicer than I thought and I came here during Dragoncon dressed like an idiot. However, everyone was still extremely nice. A bit more on the expensive side, but worth it if you want to feel special and stuff your face with perfectly cooked American bistro fare.

Stopped in for a late lunch after a stressful day. The Bloody Mary hit the spot, the burger was cooked to perfection, but the service made the experience! Our server Cookie was professional, personable and extremely attentive to our needs! I could not help but hug her before leaving. Highly recommend the food and the service!!

I was in several days ago with a party of nine people. Five of the nine were Chefs. Two of the Chefs were French. Everyone agreed that the ambiance was great, the food was spot on for flavor and presentation, the wine list was very good to excellent. Enough to satisfy my French Friends. All of the Chefs were pastry Chefs. The desserts were great.

Went here for the first time and sat in the dining area as bar was closed for a private event. Had appetizers (octopus, deviled eggs, and shrimp beignets) and they were awesome. Beer/wine list is vast. Atmosphere was great!. Did not eat an entree so gave this 4 stars at this time.

Best bone in Filet I have had in a long time.... it was the only steak on the menu. I picked up the bone and I was going at it like a starving hyena. The specialty old fashion was just fantastic, I had a second one before I headed back to my hotel, knowing that the hotel was not going replicate the drink. Highly recommended if your in Hotlanta

A delight. The main course I had was the trout. Each part of the meal was balanced. I also tried the venison, excellent as well. Staff were courteous when a member of my party was unhappy with how well done her meal was and simply replaced it. I would definitely recommend.

Great venue for large party's of 20 to 200. Handcrafted cocktails, an amazing Bourbon selection, local craft beers and an outstanding award winner wine list. You couldn't do any better than the location, it is walking distance to all the downtown hotels.

Very good selection of beer and wine. Steaks are wonderful. Have not tried the fish but here it is great. Is in perfect location within 2 minute walk of 3 major hotels in down town Atlanta. The Marriot, Hilton, and Hyatt. Moderate on price not cheap but worth the cost if looking for a nice dinner or somewhere to take a customer on a business trip. Does have a bar.

Incredible food and service. We were a little late for our reservation and had theater tickets, so they were so accommodating. They even packed up some "brownie theater snacks" for us as we dashed out the door.

I stopped in this place because I was hungry and tired of walking all over downtown on some business related ventures. When I walked in I thought I was a bit underdressed but the staff seated me with no problems and they were extremely pleasant.

I sat down next to the window looking out at downtown Atlanta and had no clue on what I wanted to eat. As the waitress approached me I told her that I would love a nice beer but I have the slightest idea on what to order. She make an excellent choice for me regarding the beer and I was going to live on the wild side for food.

The staff was truly amazing. One of the things that I enjoyed was that the staff didn t care what area of the restaurant you sit in because they all attack the table to keep it clean, ensure you are okay and to keep your drinks topped off should you need. I know I m not the only one but I can t stand when I need something and the waiter/waitress can t be found! Not a problem at White Oak Kitchen & Cocktails. They certainly know how to treat you.

If you ever get a chance to hang out in Atlanta, you need to stop by and pay them a visit and when you do tell em Drew sent ya!
Y all be easy now!

Great food and outstanding service! Waygu burger was on point. Topped with butter lettuce, brioche bun and side of fries for the perfect combo. Asparagus was flavorful and tender and the discipline double ale from Bold Monk Brewing in Atlanta, Georgia was the perfect pairing!

BEWARE!!! The valet company that they use will try to rip you off! When I pulled up to the restaurant, there was a valet guy who said it would be $5 to park the car. I thought it seemed a little shady and weird so I called the restaurant to make sure that they indeed had a valet person (since parking is located on the side of the building). I was told that it was indeed their valet guy and it was complimentary with dinner. I assumed the price he gave me was if I did not let the restaurant sign my ticket. The dinner and service itself was okay. After dinner, I had the front desk sign my ticket and proceeded outside to have my car bought around. I was asked for the money from the Valet guy and I then told him that the parking is free with dinner. He got angry and told me it was not true. I called back to the restaurant right in front of him and he asked me for my phone to speak with them, but not before mumbling that they are messing things up. After speaking to someone and being put on hold he handed me back my phone and told me dont worry about paying and stormed off. I left my phone on to make sure someone came to the phone to confirm what was going on. I was told that the manager was on his way outside to handle everything. At that point, I left the restaurant. The whole thing was wrong and definitely makes me not want to come back there.

Food was great, absolutely horrible service on a not that packed mothers day. Took over twenty minutes to get anything we ordered. Had four different servers over the course of the meal. All were very nice, but when you're waiting twenty five minutes for a glass of wine...

We ordered the Yardbird, and the Georgia Shrimp, which, both of them, turned out to be EXTRA EXTRA EXTRA salty.
The server were so busy that he recently forgot to refill our water.

Overall good, and it would be much better if they made the dishes less salty.

Highly recommend the mussels for starter!!!

I enjoyed my meal here. I started out with the grilled octopus. It was perfectly cooked. The scallops were large and tasty. The presentation was excellent. There happened to be a private party in a back room that was too loud and their music clashed with the dinner music. I was just too happy to be eating such fine farm to table food to worry about that.

Came in late from the airport and needed something to eat. This restaurant was across the street from where I was staying. Everything was delicious. I really enjoyed the octopus! I would have been happy as that just as my main course, except I was sharing. Will definitely go back!

I visited White Oak tonight as a part of restaurant week.
My food was great! but I was not impressed with the service there at all. The food took over an hour to get to get to our table and the two servers assigned to our table were not attentive at all. All in all, the restaurant would be a great date spot. I would recommend sitting on the patio to take in the essence of the city. Great location and complimentary valet

I had the pleasure of eating the tomato salad as an appetizer and the CAB Flat Iron Steak with

Edit: I m upping this to 3 stars because of the kindness of the manager. I also saw from the reviews below that horrible service can be a trademark of this place probably the same guy!

Let me start off by saying this place was about to be zero stars. The reason this review is saved at all is from the heroics of the on-site manager.

I went to sit on the outside patio during DragonCon on Saturday afternoon, and respectfully given the crowd, I asked a waiter if I could sit on a couple of open chairs. He told me no I couldn t and I d have to wait on the hostess. During this time, those only open chairs were taken; and I asked the waiter who was still in front of me, am I going to be able to sit there? He said, I don t make the rules. And I informed him he just did, and he just walked away.

So I was not shy in complaining to the hostess. She was nice enough to grab a couple of chairs for me and my mom, but after we were sitting the same waiter very vocally complained and made fun of me to other patrons from the other side of the patio. I felt totally embarrassed.

I thought this was totally unprofessional, and I asked for the manager who took care of us the rest of the time, and it would have been 5 stars if it had just been him. The waiter who derided us still hasn t apologized to me or my mom.

If you choose to come here, play it safe, and ask for the manager to wait on you.

Definitely had a blast here! My server was Mikhail & he was beyond excellent. I asked our server for his best recommendations. He then recommended the beignets and octopus to start off. Mikhail gave vivid descriptions when it came to the beignets & how the sauce along with it tasted beyond amazing to compliment the beignets. He said the Bama sauce tasted like a combination of BBQ sauce, tartar sauce, & yum yum sauce...& he was spot on, best sauce i ever tasted! & for a lighter dish afterwards he told us to try the chopped salad. Then for dinner he recommended the pork shank, and my oh my, that was very delicious! I was hungry & that did the trick; even the drinks were refreshing. If you want great food, come here!

Stayed at the Hyatt across the street and tried this with some colleagues. We had a very nice dinner and drinks there. I had the trout entree and everything on the plate was delicious. It is not a cheap restaurant but you definitely get what you pay for. The drink selection and quality is also solid...I had a local craft beer and enjoyed it but my colleagues who had cocktails were impressed. Very nice space and we were seated almost immediately. The outdoor area looked nice but it was very hot so we opted to stay inside. Would visit here again!

We went as a happy hour group and we really enjoyed the experience. The space was large and can handle big parties. The small bites we had were great, though we didn't have any of the entrees. Overall a great place to meet with a group of friends and chat.

Came here for a nice dinner with the girlfriend while we were in town for her conference. Gotta say it was truly delicious. We are from Pasadena so we have access to lots of great food and honestly this was just as good if not better.

Our waiter was Sean (not sure if Shawn) and he was truly excellent. Extremely knowledgeable about the menu and offered his recommendations for his personal favorites, which surprise surprise, were delicious.we got the shrimp beignets and pimento cheese jar and they were great! I think the pimento dip edged out the beignets though.

For our entrees I got the pork shank and girlfriend got the peach salad. Both were truly delicious and extremely well composed. I have never had baked beans like that before. Very toothsome and delicious.

Our drinks were also good. I can't remember what they were called but they were basically two different types of old fashioned. Very delicious.

If you're looking for a nice atmosphere that isn't pretentious or completely "fine dining", this is the spot. Ask for Sean's sections and you won't be disappointed.

I rarely write reviews but I wanted to provide a cautionary tale to unsuspecting customers, especially tourists. It was only after we left the restaurant did I realize that we had been snookered. We had a group of 28 persons and the restaurant billed us for 53 persons. We had a prix fixe meal that should have cost no more than $55 (which is still $10 more than the identical items listed on the menu) and we were billed $70. We were billed for 12 bottles of $40 wine and most of group had one or two glasses, and about a third didn't drink at all. I took multiple calls to get them to reduce the number of guests and the price of the meal. They never reduced the wine charge. As for the food, the trout that I had was good but not exceptional. There rest of the meal was a non-remarkable salad and dessert (they badly need a pastry chef). I suspect this is a restaurant in decline that is now trying to make ends meet by fleecing unsuspecting visitors. We are surely not the first group that had this experience. Many people probably are unaware what was done to them. There are numerous outstanding restaurants in Atlanta that would be happy to accommodate large groups without all the shenanigans.

Pros - prime location with outside terrace sitting, good decor, lots of attention from staff.
Cons - portions are on the small side and don't offer much flavor (tried a greens salad and a trout dish, both appeared to be some what tasteless and the fish over cooked big time. "Drafty kill" beer was very good and somewhat compensated for the main dish). Overall considering the price over quality the items we tried presented a so-so value.
