The hostess sat us down on the deck on a table where the air conditioner was just underneath the table. We decided to move to the table next to us since we waited to see the waitress to ask her if we could move and we didn't see her. We were really cold.
When the waitress realized we had moved she exclaimed: "did you guys moved?!" In a rude tone. I answered "yes, it's really cold there" and she didn't say anything back and left.
We waited for a long time to get our drinks. We saw everyone around us even other people that arrived way after us getting their drinks.
When the plates arrived my husband's plate was cold and when the waitress asked if everything was okay my husband replied his plate and food was cold. She paused while refilling the coffes and then finally replied "I can take your plate to the kitchen to be warmed up if you want to" my husband said "yes, please"...The waitress didn't appear to have an appropriate manners towards us "the customers" and didn't visit our table much for coffee refills. We noticed that she kept going to another table across from where we were sitting for refills and to check on them but barely went to our table.
When we were done eating we waited a long time for the ticket and decided to stand up and go look for the waitress ourselves since she kept ignoring us.
Really bad service.
Waitress didn't deserve a single dollar tip but my mom was so kind to still leave her some cash.
Waitress name: Aleah

The take-out cake was great until we found a fingernail in the second last bite. We called to complain the next day and were asked to show them proof of the nail which ofcourse was in our dustbin.

More disappointing though was the response from their team which talked to me on the presumption that I was lying- waiting for them to refund my money- when I never once asked them to- and to top it off they made it sound as if it was very normal to make that mistake. At that point I only wished I was the quality inspector to see how their tone would have been different.

Their behavior more than anything lost them a customer for life

The bakery part its great! I would say 4 stars for most of their items if not 5. They make the majority of their sweets, but not all. The actual food part could use a little help. The fish and chips seems like fish from and freezer section. I had a casserole with chicken and ham. The ham was okay, but the chicken had that freezer taste to it. Definitely not worth $12. The service was good at least. I've had good good here in the past so hopefully it gets better again.

Foods decent, unfortunate they chose to post their political values all over the front of their business but to each their own. There are plenty who will continue to support them. I will not be one.

I have always enjoyed the Octoberfest special meal.
I try to have as it as often as possible during the time they offer. This year was very disappointing. My first meal when they started this fall, I had a breakfast reg. sausage patty instead of German sausage but rest of food was good. So I did not complain.
But last night s meal (10-27/19) was just terrible. We waited for 1hr. to get food. I had 1 inch link sausage (usually 2-3 inches), dry staled rye bread(They were so dry. I could not eat ) and cold reg. Roast beef without gravy instead of sauerbraten. Our waitress tried the best she could but the chef failed to inform they ran out of some of the food to make Octoberfest. I could order something else if we were informed about the problem instead of trying to make below average meal. Restaurant manager took off the price of my meal but I had a very unpleasant experience and did not enjoy my evening out at all. I do not know if I d like to try this next year.

Bakery is DELISH!

Bakery is DELISH!

Restaurant: Loud! Extremely loud, packed and little room to move around in both the restaurant and waiting in the bakery.

Chose to go for lunch the day before Mother s Day, expecting to find their full menu and instead received a holiday version. Apparently after Easter they will always have the holiday menu which does not all for any substitutions or changes. The food choices were okay, but don t bring kids as they may not enjoy the selection.

The server was nice but frazzled. Took a while to get anything asked for, including the check.

Food is good. A bit overpriced on many of the selections. The chicken selection and mashed potatoes was piping hot, a sweet flavor GOOD! Coleslaw not so...had a horrible after taste.

My partners plate looked unappealing, but he said was really good.

Overall a good experience, will return on a non-holiday weekend and will continue ordering from the bakery for sweet treats.

Our waitress Aleah was wonderful. Coffee was always full. Never had to look for her or ask where she was. The cinnamon roll is to die for. Frosting was delicious not too sweet and the roll had plenty of cinnamon and was light and fluffy. Not a single hard spot!

Get ready to spend big $$$. Big menu and just OK food at extremely high prices. Example: Ordered Diet Coke in 'to-go' cup. Soda is already $3.09 on the menu. Waitress told me it's an extra $0.50 for the cup. When the check came they actually charged me $1.00 for the cup PLUS the $3.09 menu price. That's over $4 for a soda alone. Add that to the breakfast that started at $11. Never again.

Used to be my favorite restaurant but you rightfully deserve a 1-STAR for price gouging with over the top prices and "House Rules" placed smack dab on the top of your menu. I have never complained about my food or not paid at any diner but your rules are an instant turn-off...as if you are now a high dollar nightclub with a doorman that chooses who they want to serve. Get over yourself Wheatfields...you used to be a warm, inviting homely place to eat but now you're just playing the corporate America game.

The fresh baked smell when you walk in is what you remember about this place. The food and service are top notch. The menus has a lot of variety, I want to go back just so I can try more

Was so beyond disappointed & will not be returning. This is not the Wheatfields that we remembered. We were seated promptly next to a dirty, disgustingly web covered window with mold. Food crumbs on the wicker chairs, & around the base of the fountain. Our server had to come back to ask us what we had ordered. We waited for our food while others around us received their food (same server & seated/ordered after us). Once our food came it was beyond disappointing. No flavor on chicken for the chicken & waffles, veggie omelet was greasy & slimy. Also didn t receive modifications as requested. Then the Rules for dining listed in the menu was ridiculous and came across petty.

I have only been to Wheatfields once before at the Papillion location. I was super excited to go back to Wheatfields, even if it was another location. They have a wide varity of desserts. I was overwhelmed and so excited to choose a dessert! It literally took me 30minutes to finally decide on one dessert. Also, on Mondays the desserts are on sale because they are trying to get rid of the extra/overflow of desserts they baked on the weekend.

I decided to order the peach cobbler bars. I was so sad when I saw mold on top of my peach cobbler bar when served it. I sat there and waited for the waitress to come back. The waitress came and said, "it's not my fault mold is on there". But it was her fault for not seeing it and serving it to me. She took off the dessert from my bill and asked if I wanted another. I said no in fear of being served more moldy desserts. Overall, the Waitress was very friendly, but we arrived at 5:30 and didn't get our check until 7:30pm.

So we love the bakery, always wonderful baked goods at reasonable prices. Then we thought why not try the restaurant... big mistake. For My wife, me and 3 kids it was $70! 2 of my kids ordered waffles off the kids menu we paid almost $9 for each and they got 1/2 a waffle and 1 strip of bacon. I got a single cheese burger with fries for $12. Then you pay for drinks! $2.60 for each kid drink, not included with their meal, and $3.60 for adults. $15 in just sodas! I realize I have a larger than normal family but this place is Over priced, with OK food, nothing special. Will return to bakery, never the restaurant.

We both had the Oatmeal with everything.. Soooo good.. My daughter & I split the 5 roll mini sampler... Service was good & they have a bakery too.. They even had Irish Cream imported from Ireland... Probably should have bought some. Would have made a nice after dinner coffee addition....

I will first start off by saying that this place used to be a favorite staple of mine as well as for my family and friends..... until recently! Over the years I have seen the menu prices go up, the quality of food decrease and the customer service plummet. My most recent & LAST experience at this place was due to a take out order that took 1 HOUR & 5 minutes! Yes, that long! When I phoned in the order I was told it would be 15-20. I showed up about 35-40 minutes later & to my surprise it wasn t ready. So I waited patiently - until almost 25 MORE minutes go by. I speak to a manager, Ron (not the owner) and he was blatantly disrespectful to me. Jose (worker who took my order over the phone) and Ron has the audacity to tell me I was lying about when I called in my order. Ron proceeded to argue and berate me about how since he s dealing with YOUR problem, I am unable to help anyone else because of YOU. Everything else is getting back up in the kitchen (their half staffed apparently) and I can t do anything about it because I am dealing with YOUR ISSUE. EXCUSE ME.... My issue?!?! No! They are the ones that told me a certain time to pick up my food and gave them MORE than enough time and I STILL had to wait! The owner was standing behind the counter the whole time listening to Ron (manager) talk so poorly to me. NOT ONCE did I receive an apology. As a matter of fact, Ron told me if I didn t like it, I can give him back the food and I can leave. I told him I just want my receipt so I can leave this despicable, rude place. Never have I ever in my life dealt with such horrendous customer service. I have never had a manager yell, berate me and be so unaccomodating for something THEY SCREWED UP! The owner, Ron Popp is another story. He has been known to hang up the phone on customers that complain about things to him, yell at them in front of others in the dining room and make excuses for his own shortcomings. He takes no fault for anything!! He WILL never give a refund for anything even if their FAULT! I will never give this business a penny more of mine!! I doubt they will be thriving for too much longer given their despicable customer service and the absolute atrocious way they treat their customers! Their motto might as well be We come first & customers, well, we don t care about you at all . Do your research & you will find how their food might appeal to you upon arrival, but you will be disappointed with your service & quality of food & price!

I am at this birthday party and my friend order this beautiful cake for her husband. So simple yet so impressive. Half was chocolate and Angel. Your cake was amazing. So delicious and not over powering. It was so good that it woke from a dead sleep. 10 out 10 I would go and order one for me again.

DO NOT MAKE A RESERVATION. The pacific branch could not seat us when I specifically called 2 days in advance for a table of 14. Name was in the book and still told us it would be a 30 min wait. What was the use of calling for a reservation then? Seated outside eventually. Lead host was rude and flustered but it was ultimately his fault. Would give more stars for the waitress and food but whole experience was ruined by a system that should make reservations a priority. Sad.

Busy place. Lots of menu variety. Service from Debbie was okay. Once we received our food she wasnt as attentive to the table. Big Fish Sand was delish. Fries were overcooked. Chicken and waffle (With side of Creme Brule pudding) is always delish!

The food has always been overpriced and average in flavor.

Ron Popp has the worst people skills of any restaurant proprietor I have ever known and there have been over one hundred.
He doesn't greet his guests nor walk around the dining room to visit. Perhaps it's because he doesn't want to tend to any concerns they may have and if many of the reviews here are any indication...he doesn't really care what his customers may have to say about his lackluster offerings.

There are far too many places in Omaha to get a better meal...you don't have to swing a dead cat long to find one.

We arrived with a reserved group and were seated right away. We then waited until the rest of our party arrived and our order was taken near the end. Our meal arrived as the others in our group were getting dessert. My husband's rib eye was cold and his creme brulee potatoes were inedible. My daughter ordered the BLT - suppoedly in the runnung for the best sandwich in Omaha - had burnt bacon and the mayonnaise had condensation on it because it had been under the warmer. My son ordered chicken strips and his second bite was chewy and looked undercooked. I ordered the steak and potato casserole. My meat was so overcooked/ tough that I had difficulty chewing. I actually gagged on the meat and had to excuse myself to the restroom so I could gag it up. For the cost of the meal, I expected better service - we eat steak regularly and know it does not take 30-45 mins to cook a 1/4" steak (I'm being generous with the thick) to med-well. The waiter said it was because of the steak that our plates arrived 20 mins after EVERY OTHER table was served. It also didn't explain why our food seemed as if it had been sitting under a warmer for an extended period of time. My husband actually had to approach the manager about our order.

I realize it s Mothers Day, however, when we have reservations and you tell us that we can t be seated for 1 1/2hrs minimum later than our reservation then somebody needs find different employment.

Omaha can be proud of what Ron Popp created with his Wheatfield s concept. Massive menu which include meal options for just about everyone. Their unique flair makes them a fun place to eat by yourself, go on a date or gather with family. Indoor and outdoor seems available when weather permits. Outstanding desserts, breads and treats.

The menu and variety of entrees is impressive. There are 4 soups available daily. The dessert options are the best in Omaha.
The only negative is that the price is on the expensive side compared to supermarket pricing for pies and desserts entries.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. I just got off the phone with the manager after sending my husband 30 minutes to get a couple slices of cake. They were so small compared to what we normally get. I called and the manager said the only thing they could do for me was for me to drive back 30 minutes and then he would see what he could do. I said that seems like a lot to do for a $3 piece of cake, could you give me a partial credit for when we come back next week or something?. He told me well over the phone I can t do anything and exactly it is a $3 slice of cake. I don t know what you want me to do about it . Well I guess I will save my $3 every Monday then.

Come on wheatfields. Your food is awesome. However, today I went to your one pacific location to pick up my food. It was clear that the person who took the order did not put it in. I did not mind waiting. They are pretty quick. The guy there was so rushed that he gave me the mashed potato chicken wrap instead of the Thai wrap I had ordered twice at that point. I am not a fan of the mashed potato filled wraps. Pay more attention please.

I live right by Wheatfields and eat there at least once a week. I can say there has only been a couple times I was not impressed, but I'm aware of how great everything is, so I keep going back. Chicken Fried Steak...Delicious, Reuben...Delicious, French Eligance...Delicious, Turkey Burger... Delicious. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Anytime is great for Wheatfields.

I was warned: the portions are huge. They are indeed, but also very creative and tasty. The menu is also huge, with selections to suit anyone's fancy. I especially appreciated having a choice of fresh baked strudel with my omelet. If I lived in Omaha I would make this a regular stop.

Went there with a friend over lunch. Got seated outside. Waitress took forever to show up. Then the food took 30 mins to get to us. After that we never saw the waitress again. No water refills nothing. Finally we went to the hostess to ask for our check. Took another 10 mins to get it. Definitely not going back there.

Visiting from out of town and was recommended here. This place is great for breakfast/brunch. Big menu with lots of comfort food and a giant selection of bakery goods. Pecan roll is a must try!
