This place is in desperate need of some renovations. Pools are small. I'd stay at the Westin La Paloma over this place any day, especially since they're around the same cost. Nice view but that's it.

This is a great place to take the family for a nice, quiet getaway.

The resort has 3 pools, 2 restaurants, and multiple tennis courts. A full service spa is also on site.

The rooms are nice and the staff is extra friendly.

We come in the summer when nobody is here because of the heat and get absolutely AMAZING prices on the rooms.

You will NOT be disappointed if you come and stay here!!

Let's start with the pros:

Let's start with the pros:
The price is actually pretty good for a resort. The rooms are spacious and beautiful. We stayed in Double Junior Suit. The staff is very friendly, and the pool is so nice and big! The restaurant is also affordable and tasty.

Cons:
This place is infested with bugs. During out 4 day stay we had (in our room) at least 5 cockroaches, multiple spiders, and 3 scorpions! Granted this place is in the middle of the desert, but it did seem excessive to me to have 3 scorpions in 4 days! Also we never once had a cleaning crew come to our room, once I was even coming back from the pool and saw the cart outside our building so I walked around for and about 15 mins. When I came back the cart was gone, and they hadn't cleaned our room! We had to throw the trash out ourselve to try to avoid more bugs! Over all we were pretty disappointed with our stay and will most likely not return.

I stayed here for a few days in March and the experience was lovely! The room was very clean and very comfortable, and all of the amenities wrew nice. I didn't get a chance to utilize the spa or eat at GOLD, but the hot tub was perfect. If I'm back in Tucson, I'd love to stay here again.

Stayed at this resort a couple of times now. Very professional and personal service. Rooms are well equipped and spacious from normal rooms to suites.

Food and drinks are excellent and a good selection to suit all tastes.

I expect to be back soon and as an English man it's a good place to enjoy Tucson hospitality.

The Westward Look is a fine resort nestled in the Catalina foothills, and (as one would assume) faces West. Early every February it hosts the Westward Look rock and mineral show, where the finest mineral dealers in the world converge and show/sell their specimens - open to the public and free of charge. This is why I visited, so I can't directly comment on the entire resort. But from the perspective of the show I was blown away. Even if you aren't a collector, it's worth a visit.

Have stayed here a number of times while visiting the area, I have never used the amenities, however the bed and room have always been comfortable and clean! The staff at the front desk always helpful. I would recommend for long weekend stays. Parking lot is a bit difficult to find your way if unfamiliar and at night.

Beautiful resort! Great staff. We checked very late but their staff still accompanied us to our room to ensure we had parking and we're able to get into our room. They doss not have to do this. They definitely went over and beyond. Thank you!

This is an amazingly beautiful property at the base on the Catalina Mountains. It has 3 pools and several different gardens and trails on the property. The guestrooms are a little old and plain but not bad at all. I will definitely stay here anytime I'm in Tucson.

This is one of the most beautiful resorts that I've ever stayed at in the Southwest. I've been here about a half dozen times over the past 10 years and it is always perfect.

The property is stunning and very well maintained. The guests are always treated very well, and they offer a bunch of activities for people who stay there. I went on a guided, night vision tour of the property where you look for wildlife which was a blast, saw all sorts of neat things scampering around the desert in the dark! There are three pools on the property and all of them are great.

As for dining, Gold, the restaurant is flippin' fantastic. If you are there for breakfast, you need to try the peanut butter crunch french toast. I still regularly get cravings for it. Dinner there is also great. The more casual restaurant Lookout has prickly pear chicken wings which are awesome too.

The rooms were recently updated and are very tastefully done. The bathrooms are luxurious, especially for the price paid. Anytime I am in the Phoenix/Tucson area, this is the only place that I consider.

I have attended a few conferences here and found the venue to be great. Wonderful views of the Catalinas, clean and beautiful facilities, and delicious food. I would definitely recommend holding an event here.

We had a great visit while staying here during our trip to Tucson in early January. Our room was a two double bed room with an available sleeper in the sofa. The building itself is older, but the rooms are updated and modern. Beds were very comfortable. We would stay again when in Tucson in the future.

Great location, beautiful grounds. The rooms are dated and could definitely use deeper cleaning and renovating. Patios have holes and screens are off the tracks. Closet doors are off
their tracks and mold in the shower.
My biggest disappointment was the bar staff. To be exact we were there on a Friday at 5pm. Staff stood around loudly discussing personal issues and some not appropriate. Some complaining about their jobs. We would've stayed the evening in there for drinks and dinner but we decided we heard enough and chose to go elsewhere.
I called to speak to management but was told that person wasn't available and I would get a call back. Never happened.
We will not return to this property :(

Great hotel up at the base of the foothills. The room was clean, spacious (except for the coke bottles we found hidden in a drawer in the bathroom) and the amenities looked new and fresh. The view was amazing from our private balcony. A great place to spend our anniversary . The bar wasnt very busy but the waitress/bartender was friendly and recommended some new drinks. I had the Moscow mule and my wife had an old fashion. Very nice time.

The property itself is very beautiful. They have 3 pools, horse back riding, restaurant and bar. I also saw postings for yoga and aquaerobics for activities. I started in a standard room and it was very spacious. The bathroom was also very big. The only thing I did not like about the room is that it seemed to have paper thin walls. We could hear the phone ring next door and also parts of conversations. Not a huge deal if your neighbor is considerate, but we got woken up by their phone at midnight. Housekeeping staff was great and the room was very clean. Im

This hotel needs a facelift. The staff is very nice, attentive and pleasant. The suite we got left a little to be desired. Billed as sleeping 8, it slept closer to 6 and 2 of the beds were fold-out couches that were akin to medieval torture devices. The 'stargazer' jacuzzi was nestled under an overhang, no stargazing there and the balcony that overhung was so low that we could almost reach out and grab the feet of the people above us. The jacuzzi's buttons were worn out and no instructions on operation were available. But it likely wouldn't have mattered if it did work properly as it smelled and was pretty outdated. The property has eyesores everywhere: permanent tarps on the roofs to (presumably) prevent leaks, bits of the edifice in the planters and warped fencing in the back of our suite. Overall, I think this facility needs to be tended to. Maybe it was a 4 or 5 star facility 20 years ago but it's not really an accurate description now. If you want a great experience on this property look no further than the Spa - their service is great and I would have just assumed gone here instead of staying the night at the hotel, too.

Nice resort in a great location. Very conveniently located. Two things that didn't make sense for an outfit such as this one: there's no fridge or microwave in the room, and the wifi is open and was choppy at times. I was also unfortunate in having to share the room with a fly with boundless energy and a couple of smaller flying objects.

Our bed mattress was 11 years old and the room had bugs in it. The room furniture looked worn and the pool water was cloudy and the plaster was brown. Not a good sign when the hotel workers don t make eye contact and the front desk won t answer the phone. Our family had a terrible night s sleep and we won t be back anytime soon. The resort needs a reno like yesterday. Very disappointed.

Beautiful grounds, loved how they kept the grounds open for wondering and had very well marked trails. Food was great, views beautiful, and plenty of history. First night my friends from out of town stayed there a gentleman, who worked there, passed us and suggested we walked through the original parts of the house/ hotel/guest quarters now used for meeting places built many years ago. Gorgeous, great addition to the trip and definitely a high light to the time spent here. Standing on the rooftops looking out and tucson... exquisite. Adorable casitas, super great beds and a lovely experience.

Roof Top Yoga on Sunday Nights here is stunning. The highlight of my week. The resort is so peaceful, quiet, and inviting. The Yoga Oasis teachers are tops and very authentic. 7pm to 8pm on Sunday nights open to the public.

Great place to stay in Tucson...not overpriced for what you get. The pools and property are well kept, some of the couches and furniture have some wear and tear though, and we had a small leak in our shower. Although they came to fix it, it never fully stopped leaking. Ruined the bottom of my dress, but overall the stay was very relaxing and pleasant.

Very beautiful! Friendly sraff. The restaurant was just ok. Not enough selection on the menu. The room was great. Very beautifully decorated and clean. Had an issue on the second to last day with the toilet backing up into the shower and it was a big, smelly mess but they were very diligent in dealing with it and ended up giving us another room, which was even nicer.

Rooms are collected into bungalows, and it's a quick walk from most to the central lobby area. Two restaurants offer casual and fancier dining, and a bar was open late with dancing and big-screen TVs. Several fire pits stay lit through most of the evening and offer respite from cold desert winds.
