After confirming details before arrival the resort uses their mistake as an opportunity to upsale out of towners with limited options. Nonchalant careless staff who fail to take ownership of any issue they create. They ruined our honeymoon.

I really enjoyed my stay. The staff was very friendly. Loved the atmosphere. My room was huge! It does need some updating just to keep it fresh but I was very satisfied. The only downside was that I wanted to see the sun and have some warmth! It rained and was cold the entire time I was there. The property is very nice as well. Nice job!

The rooms were clean and pretty. However I would like to point out a few things I did not appreciate about this place. First, I couldn't find a parking spot near our room and I had to park in a non designated area. Second, there were water bottles in our room for us to drink but they aren't free. They charge you five dollars per bottle if you drink them. The rooms were not updated and seemed a bit old.

Finally, I accidentally took the TV remote with me and I was charged a whopping $50 for it. I called and emailed them and received no response. I wanted to ship it back since I don't live in Tucson but nobody replied to me.

My husband and I recently stayed there for our wedding and the place was wonderful! Not only was the staff super friendly and professional, but the room itself was great. Very clean, much more spacious than we expected, and just overall a great resort.

The place was amazing. The front desk clerk during the night and during the day was amazing. The Security personnel even walked me and escorted me and my children to the room because we arrived so late here. The room was amazing although I found the refrigerator on the last day, it was hiding in the bathroom. The room smelled really clean and everything about the room was perfect. The kids went horseback riding and it was awesome. The pool was fantastic and it even has a hot tub. It's close by grocery stores and places to eat or you do have the option to eat there.
The Pros - Room, Front desk Clerk, Security
The Cons - The fridge was hiding

The WWL has been in Tucson for over 100 years. It used to be the spot that celebrities would frequent and stay while shooting movies at Old Tucson Studios. It has an old time charm that stays around even through recent updates to both the rooms and common areas. The staff is always ready to help make the stay wonderful in any way possible to them. The views are amazing and the grounds quiet. There are large ballrooms for corporate events or weddings or birthday parties. I can't say enough good things!

Stay cation was noisier then if I lived in a u of a dorm room! 9pm at night room above us must have built a private bowling alley. 7am maid service must have had to clean up and tear down bowling alley! Not relaxing not peaceful .....oh and the gold room restraint menu is about as boring and 1982 as a solid gold dancer.

The front desk staff treated us like we were VIPs - making accommodations that added to our enjoyment throughout our stay. New rooms were beautiful, food delicious, and setting nestled into the Catalina Foothills hiding horses feels like stepping back in time. We've stayed there before at a unique UofA Constitutional Seminar that was cancelled earlier this year - so we were pleased to return this fall!

My husband and I stayed at Westward Look for my birthday weekend in early January. We had a great room - a junior suite, which was quite large, beautifully decorated and had a great bathroom/shower layout. We ate breakfast in the restaurant twice - great food. And enjoyed the music and dancing in the bar on Saturday night. A lot of camaraderie among the mix of locals and hotel guests. Really enjoyed our stay and will be back.

Gold Room is a disaster. Menu is terrible. Service is just OK. Never acknowledged our pre arranged 30th anniversary. Food is terrible. Couldn t even cut my steak. This place has been going down hill for years and has finally reached bottom. Will never go here again and tell all me friends the same.

Well let's start with the good. The bed was comfortable and food at Gold was super good. The message therapists were good, but I guess for $460 for 2 people I expected more.

Now the bad. The whole place had this sort of "run down" feel to it. None of the pet waste containers had any bags, all the little stations didn't have maps, and there was a lot of construction/repairs happening all day. Our door lock even stopped reading our card at 10pm. That's kind of a pain when you take the dog out for a walk. To their credit the came out to fix the door in just a few minutes.

Our room service was pretty bad for breakfast. They forgot to leave an order from so we just called it in the second night and what we got was not even close to correct.

We scheduled a couples massage and reflexology appointment only for them to wake us up and tell us there had been a mistake and a minor reschedule would be required for one of us. Additionally, they send you back to the locker room and tell you that there is a robe and sandals in the locker only for it to be empty. I know these are minor things but when its $460 PRE tip I expected more.

The walls were so thin I could clearly hear my neighbors TVs and conversations. And if you have a first floor room and want to open the patio door and close the screen be prepared for critters as the screen door was so poorly installed there was a gap just big enough for my hand around the sides.

None of this should dissuade you from visiting here, if you took the time to read this whole review, because the price per night really wasn't bad. I would however just use this info to make an informed decision.

We stayed 5 days in November. It was great. The room price was low compared to other resorts in Tucson with less amenities open. The pools and whirlpools were open. They are remodeling, but we did not hear them from our section, room 142. We stayed in a king suite. The bed was comfortable. The room was spacious, the a/c worked great and the bathroom was nice... shower only (large). We had a balcony facing Northwest. It was nice having the door open to the balcony and sitting out there, until every night a smoker was also out doing their thing. So that was ruined for us, but to each their own. The smoke came in the room too. The cleaning crew did fair, I could tell they did not vacuum when they cleaned our room, perhaps before we checked in and after we checked out but not during our stay. I gave it 4 stars because of my overall experience. I would stay here again.

Our wedding was 10/08/2016. Westward Look Wyndham Grand Resort and Spa is the must-book venue for your Tucson wedding! Representative of the area itself with such a rich history, the venue is absolutely stunning! You can tell that there is a sincere care for how it looks and is kept. The majority of our guests were from out-of-town so we wanted a place that would showcase Tucson and its beauty. Westward Look was it! Sonoran rooftop allowed a beautiful sunset backdrop to our cocktail reception. Coming from NYC, the standard size guest rooms are a treat as they are larger than many 1-bedroom apartments! Our guests LOVED the accommodations.

Planning a wedding from across the country of where your wedding venue is may not always seem like an easy feat. Despite having a staff change in point of contact and the venue undergoing a menu change while we planned, David Toler and his entire staff made us feel 100% comfortable and reassured we were in good hands. They were flexible to plan ahead with us as we had limited time in-person on our few trips to Tucson. David was incredible attentive throughout our time worked with him -- responsive to emails and phone calls, if he did not have an answer, he was able to find out right away.

The staff as a whole was quick to react as we had a burst of showers right before the cocktail reception. Without a blink of an eye, the staff put the roof up on the Sonoran rooftop. We were very impressed with David and his execution of our planning and willingness to communicate and work with our other vendors (wedding planner, DJ, etc.). WWL was able to accommodate our requests (no matter how big or how small) and even allowed input on guest room groupings! They helped allow us to personalize the weekend. The front desk and dining staff on-site always made guests feel welcome.

They are reasonably priced, have delicious food, make you feel like family, and genuinely care for you and your event! I cannot recommend working with WWL enough for your wedding.

I am surprised this hotel is described as an "upscale resort." The building we stayed in was old, and we could hear every step the upstairs guests made day and night. I had to clean my and my daughter's feet after walking around barefoot in our room.

The worst experience at the hotel came late one night when I was just drifting off to sleep. I was awaken by hearing the motor turn on the door. Startled, I shouted out "who's there?" A women quickly responded that they must have given her the wrong room! To make matters worse, when I went to open the door with my key card the next morning, it would not work. After explaining what happened to the guy at the front desk, he offered no apology and re-activated the card again.

I would not recommend this property to anyone. It does have good views, but that's about it.

Everything was amazing but dated. Staff was extremely helpful, attentive, and even with booking issue from a third party site they ensured checkin was a breeze. Facilities (Gold, spa, courts) were nice but again slighly dated.

I was here for a teaching conference and was wary of other reviews. Lesson learned: don't listen to other people!! This hotel is amazing. They even let the conference guests check in at 8:30 in the morning, which no hotel let's you do!! The garden on grounds is peaceful, the pools lovely and beautiful, the walking paths amazing, the room spacious and comfortable. I will definitely be back on my own time with the hubby!

Went for a relaxing weekend with the family. The room was outstanding, the food was great. Only bad part was that a fraternity was also staying there and it was difficult to leave the room without running into wild drunken kids around the resort. When you spend over a thousand dollars on a weekend away, it would be nice to be able to take full advantage of the time. This is not totally the resorts fault, however the resorts management could have done a better job to ensure the pleasant guest experience for the rest of us. We made several complaints to the front desk that apparently went by the way side, as Saturday night there was a party going on in the room next door with loud music and drinking games. Doubt we would return after this experience.

Super pleasant. Easy fixes to annoying problems are overlooked, however. Little details that make the difference between a resort and a hotel are neglected. Staff is great, however! Really above and beyond.

The location was lovely, the meeting rooms were adequate for our conference needs, and the weather was pristine. However, the internet was terrible. In the central meeting rooms there was consistently available internet, but it was slow. In the guest room buildings, the internet availability was horribly inconsistent with most days having no available internet connectivity in the guest rooms.

My sister and I took a one-hour trail ride with guide Eddie Garlinghouse of Spanish Trail Outfitters today (March 5, 2018). We really enjoyed his relaxed but expert knowledge and advice about our horses. As we rode, our guide pointed out and named many of the local plants, as well as rabbits, birds nesting and varieties of cactus. When we are back here in Tucson we would really enjoy coming to Spanish Trail Outfitters again. We highly recommend this stable and guide!

My husband and I spent a wonderful Fall weekend at the Westward Look Wyndham Resort and Spa, the first weekend in November, in order to participate in the Tucson Audubon's Gala held at the resort. Our couples massage was an amazing experience. The grounds of the Resort were filled with Nature. The restaurant staff was hospitable, friendly and sought every chance to fulfill our needs, from breakfast, lunch, a mid afternoon beer, through dinner. The Resort was a great place for Tucson Audubon to host its Gala. Having spent many weekends in the Tucson area, at other sites, this was one of the best. Yes, we will be back!

I have stayed at Westward Look a number of times and would normally rate it 5 stars. This visit, however, was disappointing. There was only one chair in the room, no table on the patio and the wooden furniture was very dinged and scuffed. I did not feel like I was in a high-end resort at all. We had breakfast in the Gold Room and though the food was good, service was horrible. I certainly hope this was a one-off and a show of true decline.

Great customer service. Great Breakfast. The rooms were VERY large and clean. A little hard to see where you are going when it is dark but that is par for the course in Tucson. Would stay here again.

Booked over 40 rooms for a wedding block and heard nothing but positive things from the guests.

Staying here tonight because we had no other option as Its already late. My sister settled for a free night and early check out but this place is not acceptable on any level. We should of went elsewhere and got a refund. All my words can't bring it justice . The staff was great but both rooms we got/settled for are beyond digusting. Walls are literally filthy in both rooms. There was dried up blood on our blanket in the first room along with dirt and whatever else all over the sink counter and hand towels. I can't even begin to explain all the mess it has been. After we called and complained we were offered a free night and late check out along with a different room of course. So us being the nice people we are we accepted. The second room is gross too, walls are again dirty. The pull out bed had no blankets or sheets on it, and a big pee spot on it. I'm pretty sure some bugs also I don't know and don't wanna know. They're is literally squashed bugs on the wall in here and dead cock roaches all over patio. Funiture is wore out . this is by far the worst maintained "resort" I've ever seen. I can't believe we weren't offered a better deal then what they gave us. We will never stay here again and I would not recommend it to anyone. Someone could get sick there it's so hazardous. I will try and post picturescontent://media/external/file/16662
