Was there for a professional holiday event, food and service we're very good. Location and facility was comfortable and interesting.

I like it for most of the reasons mentioned, and have been visiting there for about 7 years now. We love its not a mega scale resort , small and great grounds ... last visit though I have to say we dislike how the pool has become such a party scene. Too many drunks, dishes and food everywhere around the pool, beer cans and the party group hogging every single chair and umbrella absolutely all day long. Never got to use the pool.
Great place to relax. Works are friendly and helpful
Loved the hotel, got a good rate on it. It was a little far from the event we were in town for, but that isnt the hotels fault! Clean quite and relaxing.
It was a great place to stay at! The staff was very courteous and helpful. Thee views are amazing.
Westward Look holds a special place in my heart. Sure the rooms feel a little dated but they are nicely appointed, beds to hard IMHO and most never satisfied with hotel pillows. The pool can get kinda noisy with kids at certain times so if you re looking for R&R maybe not. Many of them running all over creation with little supervision. The gas fireplace was a great spot to chill with drinks and S mores kits are available at the front desk.
This is a little Tucson treasure that I would take over La Paloma any day. The grounds are awesome and there is some interesting history to the place.
Nice place but wings were over cooked and service was slow.
Always a great staff. Very good restaurants. Rooms need some attention - though the beds are first rate and comfy.
This place is far away enough from the city that you escape most of the city noise. It was incredibly quiet and peaceful at night. I stayed in one of the suites and loved it. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept on. Westward Look has a restaurant and a bar on site, the latter of which had a live band the night I was there. Would definitely stay again.
The whole experience was great! I had a 5 night stay there and enjoyed every moment there. Karisa at the Lookout Bar and David at Gold added to the whole experience. The view of the catalina mountains was amazing. Yes it s an older hotel, but you will soon disregard the little things and enjoy what Westward Look offers. I will be definitely going back.
Very nice hotel, heated pool and a great restaurant. Staff is helpful and nice.
This hotel is top notch. Great service, good food, and incredible location.
Seems like a beautiful place. Food and drinks were rather spendy.
Beautiful resort with lots of luxury facilities. Lovely outdoors. Friendly staff. I was here for an Indian wedding coverage as a Photograoher. This place has so many picture perfect spots. The banquet halls and meeting rooms are perfect for any social events.
Misleading room descriptions. Under the impression there was separation from the bedroom to livingroom. All cramped together. Oddly placed. No microwave. Unnecessarily large bathroom that could have been utilized for more living/sleeping space. Says remodeled but rooms look the same.
Beautiful view!!! Had dinner with an amazing date, and we ate outside on the patio, and it was breathtaking!
Clean , beautiful pools and views. Totally Relaxing
Loved The place! Rooms were very nice. Would definitely stay there again.
We came here 15 years ago for our wedding and at the time it seemed amazing. Now it feels like the entire room system needs serious rework :scuffed walls, damaged and hanging screens, furniture with tears and exposed hardware. We've been here on and off over the past couple years and the gradual decline in infrastructure is obvious.
It being a resort one would hope that poolside and restaurant service would make up for it, but for all the glitter the rigidity of the menu and antipathy of the servers makes it feel like an Applebees/Olive Garden-type operation with strict pre-made nuke-and-serve options.
Beautiful location in the foothills overlooking Phoenix
Westward Look is a great resort. Their Junior suites are huge. The customer service is amazing; I was there 2 nights for a conference plus 1 extra night at the end with my husband and the first night they had me in a room with 2 double beds but once I called and asked if they had any king suites but they didn't for that night but they were able to move me the day my husband was coming up to a king suite. Transfered all my bags and everything, was great.
Good old facility. Was there for a meeting/presentation. Valet parking available but those choosing not to use that servuce and self park, plan on long walk unless youluck out!! Handicap parkung very limited at least what I saw.
Great landscape. Fancy outlook. Unfortunately the screen on the balcony door was torn. The safety lock was broken. We missed the microwave in the room. It would be wise to give thin blankets for sleeping at summer time, instead of thick, fluffy, winter comforters.
We were there for a wedding. The rooftop ceremony view was beautiful as well as the reception. The food was exceptional..both beef and chicken.
On arrival, we did have a small problem as it was dark and not explained well as to the location of our room. We did finally find it but receptionist should have given better directions.
The room was nice but a bit tired. No towel racks in bath area for hand towels. Slider closer doors were VERY hard to slide.
As for the comfort of the beds. They were overly comfortable. Can you tell us what we would order from Sealy for our home. Name and model etc.
Thank you for a lovely weekend stay..
Really liked everything and staff was very nice however the people in the room above us were very active possibly had kids and the floor squeaked when they walked around. The squeak seemed to be centered above our bed :(
Nice place.great views. Nice pool. They were updating the fixtures, so that's a plus.
Great resort hotel. Beautiful location. Friendly staff. Gorgeous views of the city. Very close to the mountains.
Actually could be a five-star but it is a little tired. Certainly worth the price that we had paid. It is less than other resorts in the area and quite beautiful. I enjoyed the hummingbird, butterfly, and Chef's Gardens. There are a few interesting little areas in the grounds and worth and walk.
Needs some repair and updating. Room service food ok, not great. Not as clean as it
could/ should be.
The rooms are clean and overall the place is well kept. The staff though isn t pleasant to interact with. Everyone we met here had the same experience..
A great place to stay in the northern end of Tucson. Close to hikes and good star gazing. A few nice paths right on the hotel grounds. Breakfast at the restaurant was good, as is their dinner. Fireplace by the front reception with several couches for quiet relaxation. Spa on site.
Beautiful place with an amazing pool! Lived my stay.
Rooms are great. They can't get towels to the pools. A drink took 1 hour 30 minutes to arrive on a quiet day. It was promised on 25 minutes.
The place was a bit old and run-down looking. There were scorpions in the room we stayed in
This is the third time we have stayed at Westward Look and we have enjoyed each time. Saturday night movie by the pool is great for the kids, the restaurant and bar have kid friendly out door seating, plenty of convenient parking. Previously we stayed for our anniversary without kids and there are plenty of hot tubs away from the families to enjoy some quiet relaxation.
Stayed in the Westward Look, casita star gazer it's a beautiful place,
Cons:
The sofa, chair, and flip out sofas are very uncomfortable, small TV's , room service is pricy if delivered it's better to go to restaurant yourself,
Pros:
Two different a/c , hot tub in private area, a nice outside view and night view, shower is fantastic,
This resort is a breath of fresh desert air. Immaculate grounds, clean rooms, and exemplary service. The resort itself has every amenity, but if you want to venture out, it's also close to outstanding restaurants and activities. The beauty of it, though, is that when you're at Westward Look, the grounds make you feel surrounded solely by desert majesty.
It's a pretty good spot for a getaway to the desert. The views are great and there's plenty of entertainment in the area if you take the time to find it. The 2 times we ordered room service, our servers were great. There was a conference going on (as well as my grandmother's 80th birthday) but it was very quiet and peaceful. You may or may not be a fan of the locals coming up for the live music and dining - I thought it was fun. Overall a very nice trip.
The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The staff is very attentive and keep things running smoothly.
They charged my card $28 and couldn't explain for what.
This is my 3rd time staying at Westward and overall I was pleased. Check-in was easy and fast, strong WiFi signal too, room was clean. I get they are going for a "southwest rustic," look, but rooms could be updated or refreshed a little. I think the guests staying above me weigh 600lbs or something because I can hear the herd milling about. That's not the hotels fault though. Staff was very friendly. I'd definitely recommend staying here and will be doing so myself during my next visit to Tucson.
I got the best service and the most intresting food
This is a solid place . I like staying here when I want to stay on 5th west side of town to try those restaurants. I've always had food stays and the front desk has always been really good and helpful. A great place to stay in Tucson AZ for sure. Ill be staying again this summer !
No internet connection, bottles of water in the room that were not free, lizards inside the room, big tarantulas outside the room closed to the door, this was for sure not fun place to stay....
Did not had time to explore much. Room was spacious and clean. Bed was good.
Place has been updated, still looks old, might be considered charming but service was terrible so it's hard to overlook flaws.
The rooms are nice. They give you the local feel with a little bit of a comfortable touch. I had a west facing view which gives you the Tucson sunset with a little bit of the city in it.
We really enjoyed our stay here. Plenty of activities on site. Close to so much in Tuscon. They have the best Belgian Waffles!
Worst food for a resort I have had. Staff hated their job.
Loved this place with our two toddlers. The pools and room service is so great when you have little ones. The walking trails are great too for spotting birds and lizards. Close to everything but feels like you are on some far away ranch. The room we had was spacious and very clean. Restaurant serves good food. Would recommend and come back.
Stayed at this.place once before several years ago. The problems i remember then have not been fixed. They are not deal breakers just big time annoyances. The rooms are roomy. The bed was blown out not very comfortable. The maid service was horrible. Horrible I say. The trash in the room was not taken out. They did not leave extra towels as requested. Bummer. I do love this place, but the bed and maids must be fixed.
The rooms were nicw, with great views from the patio. The common areas were well maintained. The staff was friendly and accommodating.
We spent a few hours on a Sunday afternoon at the Lookout Lounge meeting friends. Friendly bartender. Food was good, drinks were good. The Sunday brunch is the best in town. Set up like a buffet with cooked to order small plates.
Sooo we visit "Tucson for the Gem and Rock show" to buy our business materials, we've shopped here for 7 yrs. My Paul found this beautiful Oasis years ago. Once we planted ourselves here there is no need to search for anywhere else. Gorgeous grounds, great sunsets, horseback ridding, friendly yet professional staff, the hot tub suites are spacious with tons of emenities. The bar and restaurant top notch for breakfast to a night cap they have it dialed in. Make your trip a trip within a trip by staying here at the Westward Look, You won't regret it! I'm Jan with the modified Rain hat! And Paul is well, you know Gotta happily go with the weather here, modify and easily adapt enjoy your stay, We Always Do
The hotel is a little old but, our room is clean and the staff is awesome, so friendly and helpful!
Always good food. Beautiful old Tucson favorite. Pricey
Great heated pool and serene, visually pleasing landscaping. Comfy bed. Will/would return.
A wonderful place to experience an exceptional meal. I had Sunday brunch and was very happy with the menu and the quality of the various dishes
The pool is deep and warm with fun floaties and a basketball hoop. This place has beautiful trails and great service. Poolside rooms are available and really nice. Great summer rates. Good food.
Amazing views of the landscape of Arizona as well as the desert skies, rustic feel inside the rooms yet modern as well, great service from all aspects of the hotel and over all a great experience.
I am enchanted by its panoramic an excellent place to eat dinner and enjoy the tranquility of this beautiful place the very spacious and comfortable rooms is my opinion
Needs some upgrading, but overall nice and fabulous service!
Love this place! I always try to stay here when traveling to Tucson for business. They honor the state per diem rate, beautiful view of the city & mountains from the rooftop, there's a telescope to enjoy the stars, a labyrinth for meditation, great outdoor trail & chef's garden. There's beauty everywhere you look!
