Used to love this place. Haven t been for a few years. Now it doesn t seem as good. Food seems more expensive than it used to and I think it s. it as good quality. But sad cause it was always top quality for a cheaper price. Maybe it s better if you re a member. Don t know if that s worth it for the few times I go these days.

Well it has been a little while since you've been at Wests with come down for the weekend they've done some upgrades to the rooms which are really great there's change the spa at the pool to the other and made it bigger and it's much nicer improvements that they may I would give a 12 out of 10 we also had breakfast it was spectacular and they have a pancake maker you push the button and two little pancakes come out and put your syrup on it and lovely thank you for looking after us so well and we look forward to seeing you in the new year or the day before from mwh

Lovely club, great choice of reasonably priced food and quick service. We like to sit out near waterfall (near bar) and every time we have lunch there (between 12 and 1) somebody is vacuuming upstairs. Very loud and and annoying and lasts about 40 mins. Surely this could be done at 2ish after lunch time.

Was made to sign up and pay for membership then was refused because I was intoxicated. I said that is fine but can I have a refund then was told I could enter. went the toilet as I walked out was asked to leave now because of my attitude and was also refused a refund due to the management being spiteful about the situation. if you just gave the refund at the start I would not have had this bad experience at your venue leaving confused and annoyed also would not have have had to write this review

Well it is covid time...however its ridiculous the veracity of the 'sit down police' here. Not all of them but one young bloke in particular believes he is an empowered rent a cop who loves telling people to sit down, move apart, are you together? Etc etc. Multiple multiple times its occured. I am a regular there. The good ones at least find you a chair which are in short supply.
The arrogance of this bloke to even come up later on and ask 'are u doing alright ' in an 'ive won ' attitude,,,after being accosted by him shows that wests needs to police its sitdown police. There are rules and then there are bullies.

Big restaurant selections at the club. Bistro good value, or steak restaurant, or chinese or mexican, or you can prebook a table la cart upstairs. (Lift on premises and wheelchair friendly)

Chophouse Grill. That's all you need. The name itself says it all. Amazing atmosphere, the best wait staff I have experienced. They knew the menu, the wines and always prompt service. The food was the best I have had from a Leagues Club restaurant, with succulent lamb and fish as fresh as the feel of the place. Wine selection has a great range of both red's and white's. Will go again for sure.

On the 18 .11.2018 I took four senior people out for lunch all over the age of 80 absolutely brilliant food everyone was satisfied hence the 1 star .
To the managers I am appalled by your lack of facilities for senior people with disabilities take a look around at your patronage the room is always full of people over the age of 70 a lot with walking frames please have consideration have a look at your seats your seats are way too low for these seniors please think about this as without these people you wouldn't make the money that you do make so please consider and look after the seniors even though some you see with missing limbs these people are still mobile but struggle with getting down so low to sit at a table and as for the cafe at the end of the bar charging a senior person and extra $0.70 for a extra tea bag when finally another table told me that they were free at the end of the buffet where we had spent $60 on meals $18 on drinks and another $8.75 at the cafe bar and not to mention the absolute rude service of the young blonde as an 87 year old woman had to pay another $0.70 for a tea bag really!!!
I am absolutely disgusted in how you take advantage of our seniors absolutely disgraceful.
Anyone would think that the poor worker was paying for the tea bags herself or worked on commission was she commended a monthly prize I'm ripping people off
Very interesting to learn that the local patronage you have are well aware of this and they know not to buy from the cafe

Club itself is okay, but patrons are definitely not kid friendly. Took my 3 year old, he was making some noise, but not over the top. A normal 3 year old. After receiving death stares from quite a few (old) patrons, and one woman telling me her husband had a BIG day driving; we left.

I have NEVER had someone complain about my son ever! until this place. A lot of angry old folks!!!

Overall the place has great food and decent drinks service is always quick. A wide variety of cuisine helps with the picky eaters. The Mexican restaurant is a highlight of the club with a massive 1kg burrito for the foodie in all of us. Unfortunately it can be a bit bland sometimes.

Below average food, very inconsistent in quality. Sometimes it's decent and others it's bad. Entrance staff are usually a little rude. +1 star for Chophouse Grill, this restaurant is worth going to. Sadly, the rest of the place brings down the rating.

Visited the Mexican restaurant here, the stafg were friendly and helpfull but the food was pretty much old el paso packet mix for $30! The mexican at Cardiff Wests is similarly priced bit much better.

Accommodation was ok , club was ridiculously priced ( drinks and food) three thousand people in the bistro , pushing and pulling for tables , restaurants were booked out too so I can't judge the food

Yeah I love this place has everything you need and want from a club the atmosphere is easy going and it generates a buzz and feel good air about it at times. The staff are very professional friendly service and willing to help you out if you get lost lol. Which isn't hard for a visitor this place has so many different bars places to eat game and just relax is what makes it the premier club in the Newcastle area a must visit if you're the club going type plenty of entertainment too be had at this club.

Disappointed that the last few times we have been here we have been able to come in and enjoy a nice meal on a trip but today we were told it s 2 dollars to join just to come in and have a meal when we re not from the area

Wests is a great club, staff are very helpful and obliging. The only negative my wife and I have found are the inconsiderate members who think it is there right to subject other people to their 10,15 and in one instance 20 minute phone (loud)conversation. They speak so loudly that you can not enjoy your meal in relative peace. Last night was the killer, both husband and wife at the table two up both on their phones only to be topped by the women eating her meal, mobile on speaker phone oblivious to everyone and virtually yelling at her mobile. If we wanted that sort of behaviour we would have gone to pub for dinner.
