Westin Times Square Review

Very poor service and supplies. The snacks in my room were expired and the iron was in a Very bad condition, it ended up burning my shirt.

Our stay at the Westin was enhanced by the superior service of the concierge. Maggie and Jeremy both recommended wonderful restaurants that were fabulous dining experiences! They made the reservations for us and that was essential! Also breakfast
in the room was delightful when Babul delivered it! He starts your day just right with an
incredible attitude! (one person can really make a difference)

Came here for a conference, clean and trendy but the customer service when I left something behind was awful.

Honestly not great for the price, had issues with the safe in the bedroom and one of the only lamps, called front desk multiple times for each issue and ended up having to go down to ask for help. The bath water was also extremely yellow which is concerning, would not recommend drinking the water there. Restaurant prices were pretty outrageous, and saw multiple people complaining about having to deal with their own bags while the bag boys stood around.

Very nice hotel, great location in the city. Drinks at foundry bar are well done and not overpriced. Stopped serving food a little early into the night and you could only get from room service after 11.

Kenneth at guest services was amazing. Really bonded with my kids and "gave them the city" by putting us in a room with a great view. Everyone from bellman to valet was as friendly and helpful as possible. Roger was incredibly helpful with transportation and where to eat, not to mention going out of his way to get me some items from my car after the car service had already taken it away. Westin Times Square has earned my Manhattan stays forever.

Its a New York Hotel! Good service, nice rooms. *some 9th floor King size rooms face a wall, not a pleasant view. Asked for a change and they kindly moved me to another room. Much better!

The location was great just a block away from times square. Made it really easy to go out in the evening and enjoy that place. Staff was very friendly and they have spacious rooms compared to a few other SPG hotels i have stayed at in that area.

An upscale Westin next to Times Square. Nice lobby, rooms, etc. The restaurant for breakfast should avoided at all costs. Good views from upper level rooms.

The hotel was very modern and clean. The conference area we were in was great. My only complaint was we were told we were having a Continental breakfast, but the only food items there were fruits, yogurt, and granola bars. I don't know if this was on the hotel or the organizer of the event, but the drinks were good. They served Starbucks coffee, sparkling water, soda, and Tazo tea.

I stopped at the Westin in Times Square to use the restroom and to shield myself from the cold. While I did not get to experience the full extent of their services, I enjoyed comfortable seating and a nice atmosphere in the lobby of their hotel.

Despite large and beautiful rooms, there are still tired dressers and far too hard pressure in the shower.

We received answers to all questions from helpful receptionists, but struggled via tel.

Silly scheme with destination fee, which is at $ 25 / night. Gives the equivalent of a $ 25 food / drink coupon, which is recommended to use on the minibar, since the food there is in crisis, both expensive and cheap.
You also get access to city bikes which is really cool if you are steady enough on a bike for NYC.

Fantastic location, short walk to Times Square and all by public transportation.

In summary:
* be sure to take advantage of the destination fairy
* Do not eat food from the hotel restaurant

Beautiful property, room very comfortable but small and a bit cramped compared to other hotels nearby. Plenty of storage space in the room but very limited space to put out toiletries in the bathroom. Housekeeping gets a big black mark -- I found a pair of dirty socks left by a previous guest lying on the floor by the window. Long wait at check-in while a pair of frequent guests held up 2 of the 3 check-in agents with some friendly social time (nice to see you, what have you been up to lately, that sort of thing). At a lower price point, I might tolerate these things but not at these rates. The hotel also imposes a hefty service fee of $25/day plus tax, which covers a number of touristy services that were of no interest to me at all. I won't be back.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. Fantastic rooms, great service and a very central location for exploring Manhattan. The shower and bed were both very good, and noise levels were low by NYC standards. I'd happily return here.

Great place to stay. NOTE:. Before arriving, I read several very negative reviews of the place. I'm pretty sure that these are misplaced, and describe some other property. The staff here is very friendly and helpful, the place is very clean and modern. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

This hotel was the most horrible thing I have ever experienced we booked an interconnecting room. I received a text saying our room was ready 12 hours before our stay. Our rooms originally cost 1500 and were interconnecting they didn't have the rooms ready when we arrived we had to wait for an hour he rooms where very far apart and VERY VERY dirty the rooms and to add they charged them at a new rate and they cost 2000 that's 500 dollars more we were very unhappy with our stay don't come here.

I have only been here one night but the staff is excellent, very accommodating and curtious. The room is comfortable if small but I expected a smaller room because of the location. I would recommend to others.

This hotel is one of the best I have stayed in. Everything from the staff, to rooms quality location, and security is quite impressive. I would recommend it to anyone.

Nice place to be with good starting point for all activities to explore this amazing city. Room was a little bit "outdated/old-fashioned" but big enough and with a fantastic view. :-)

My wife and I had an excellent time at the Western everyone was there very friendly, helpful and technical. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that thinging about visiting New York because it is centrally located, you can get to see all the sites from that point.

I stayed in this Hotel for a week in October 2016, I really appreciated the comfort of the beds and the panoramic view. Another thing that struck me very much is the proximity to almost a few steps from the lively Times Square. Very professional and very helpful staff. I thank the company Infinity Experiences to whom I entrusted myself for the excellent choice of this Hotel .... SUPERLY RECOMMENDED

Hotel is nice and the gym is good for a hotel, but wifi is extra?!

Although the hotel is lovely and the location is incredible, their staff are quite rude.

Nice hotel and rooms but they failed to remove Rowdy guests that we're very loud and inappropriate to other guests. We left and went to a different hotel. They did give us a bit of a credit to our bill but at that point it was too late. Speaking to some of the employees they agreed with us that those rowdy guests should have been asked to leave.

Great place to stay nr theater and Time's Square. Staff is wonderful and helpful. Been here many times. Rooms are spacious and clean.

Bad service, we didn't get our rooms for a few hours after we arrived, the man 'helping' us was terribly rude, and every time we went to go into our rooms our key card didn't work and we had to get a new one. A plus is that the room service food tastes pretty good.

Can't beat the location if you're in town to see shows. Rooms are good size and clean. We've been able to check in early every time we stay. Only negative are the pillows, which I will charitably call subpar.

I was just there for an event, but the hotel was convenient to get to, clean, and the staff was very professional.

44$ for one cesar salad and the reception woman got offended when i told her it was extremely expensive. Been 12 years travelling arround the world, never payed so much for a single salad in any of the multiple hotels ive been at.

Excellent location for Broadway. Comfy beds (though a little small for two in the double rooms), good size room. The bathroom has one of those barn doors that will never truly close and a motion sensor light that turns off while you're in the shower, but otherwise a nice experience.

Great choice for our short stay in NYC. Wife and I were in the city to attend a taping of the Colbert show and a concert, so the Times Square location was ideal. The hotel interior was nice and the rooms were well appointed. Housekeeping was efficient and did a great job keeping the room clean. Also really liked the security check during the evening. Also we got a deal on the price, so that was also a plus. Would definitely stay at the Westin again when we come back to the city.

On check in, I received a complimentary room DOWNgrade (I was put in one lower room than I booked), odd considering I'm a Marriott Platinum. Unless you run the AC, the rooms smell musty, much like old gym socks. The room felt like a Motel 6, see the pics of the damage. Two of the three towels in my room were severely frayed (again see pics) to the point where I was pulling thread off myself after toweling dry. Late night room service takes several tries before answering the phone and was reminiscent of leftovers. To the management of this hotel, I know you're going to leave a reply to this with the standard "we try to uphold standards, sorry ....". Instead of spending your effort responding to negative reviews, fix your hotel.

Breakfast is very good. However, staff don t proactively offer SPG Platinum benefits. Certain rooms have very bad cellular service. Beds are very good though, but rooms are slightly on the small side. Overall, it s okay. There are better hotels in Times Square.

Location was good if you like to be close to Times Square but not right in the middle of it. Do not eat breakfast at the hotel, the quality was not good. Found out on the last day that there is a movie theatre right under the hotel, which would have been fun if we had more time.

Stayed here for New Years Eve. Great location and the staff was very friendly. The only downside- again it was New Years Eve and the Restaurant in the hotel The Foundry closed at midnight. What bar- restaurant closes at midnight on New Years Eve in New York City?

Two words absolutely excellent!!!A real gem in the center of a busy city.The rooms are excellent,cool and a comfortable bed is very welcome.The room safe was very handy and a well stocked fridge in every room.Also a superb shower and bath robe for your comfort.I must mention shula's steakhouse downstairs which is also a real treat!I would highly recommend this hotel to families and couples alike.

A great place to stay. It has an indoor gym, spa, hotel's own shops, restaurants, snack bars and a delicious buffet for breakfast. The only thing I missed was a mini fridge in the room, but there is an ice machine close by!

Warning-- the front desk forgot to set our wake up call.
We called them about it and they never called back.

I had our assistant try to reach them, too-- nothing.

No room for a couple hours.

Don't expect Westin-level service. Go elsewhere.
