Very nice hotel, was surprised to find out the rooms with two beds were double beds, not Queens. Very close to Times Square.
Very nice hotel, was surprised to find out the rooms with two beds were double beds, not Queens. Very close to Times Square.
We were there for a conference.
It s a convenient location.
Planet of bathrooms and a nice lounge next to the cafe.
Drinks @ The Foundry - cozy setting, not crowded, perfect place to grab a drink with friends after work and actually hear the conversation
Very clean rooms. Walking distance to Time Square and the Lyric theater. Pleasant staff
Incredible services - a true 5 star. Will repeat as often as I can.
they hosted an event with conference rooms and free wifi which was all we needed. it was perfect.
Hands down my favorite hotel in New York. This is the second time staying here and I'm already looking forward to staying here again.
Friendly staff. Clean rooms with great views and in a great location.
The room has a very musty moldy smell and the furniture are really outdated. It doesn't have a feel of a four star hotel. The towels are rough.
Worst stay ever. Not sure if it is all Westin or just this one. The luggage guys and the front desk managers are so cocky and not welcoming. They ask questions to get to know what they need and never response to my questions. It's like talking to prerecorded robots. By the way, it's funny that they don't provide complimentary wifi in the room. Maybe I got surprised by that bc I'm too green with the standards of the high end hotels, lol.
A wonderfully located hotel for a stay in Mid-Town. Price is reasonable although the $25 daily destination charge seems a bit much. The hotel tries to soften the blow with giving a credit back for on site amenities, which are not significant. It works well to cover the breakfast which is pretty good and they do an good job of replenishing the fare, even when busy. Check in desk staff was very pleasant and helpful. We stayed during what seemed to be normal weekend and the elevators were consistently full with several of them not operating. Overall a good stay.
Location was 5-6 minute walk down w43rd past a strip club and piles of garbage. Room was clean and was surprisingly nice. Service was absolutely terrible. I arrived at 1pm and walked in asked a "manager" if early check in was available. He told me yes go up to desk and check in. The line in the lobby was very long. The front desk told me my confirmation # was wrong. We reviewed my email and I was told it was corrected and I am checked in but my room wasn't available it shouldn't be long , go downstairs and check my luggage. With a laughing and sarcastic voice! That line was a 30 minute wait. We got a text at 345pm that it was ready. "The room with a view of times square" turned out to be a blocked view of the "ball area" next to a ton of stainless steel rooftop air-conditioner. We leave next morning and half way home I realize I didn't check my vehicle that went into there valet service (which they claim they have no affiliations to). Of course the front is all scratched up. Phone tag is happening now. No one cares there, they just want your $
Decent Westin hotel and you can't beat the location for being central in New York City.
Used to be good but some staff is getting unfriendly, especially at the restaurant.
Their phones have been down for two days now. They can t answer any calls to front desk or room service.
Overall a good hotel with great location. Beware of phony "destination charge" that they tack on at the end of your stay. An additional way to make money. They claim that this is just a tax, but that is an outright lie. Puts a bad taste in your mouth.
Location!! 1 blk from Times Sq, really quality amenities, clean, on premises restaurant and movie theater. Very helpful concierge, got us good tickets to "Wicked," comfortable bed. Nice quality toiletries, robe in room.
Impressive building and surroundings. Comfort in the rooms. Very comfortable beds and pillows too. To put a but, the breakfast, abundant, American, has some improvable products
Had a 34th floor room. Great view and room.
Food and beverage is way too expensive and not that good.
Deserts were perfect.
Restaurant service need to be improved.
Would come back again...
I'll start by mentioning that this is a review for the hotel as someone who attended an event, not for staying at the hotel as an overnight guest. Overall, I think it's a very nice hotel, though you have a lot of floors you might need to navigate because the footprint is relatively narrow. As a result, you end up going up and down a lot. The service is very good and the food isn't bad. The location is very good as long as you don't being near Times Square. I do wish they would add have drying machines in the bathroom instead of trying in paper towels as that would be more environmentally friendly. But I won't complain about the cleanliness of the facilities, which were very well maintained.
Excellent new renovations, great banquet rooms and modern amenities. Most important of all the staff and customer service is way above expectations
Super location, lovely staff, great value for money! Look out for great deals on hotel website
The Westin hotel is located just a few minutes walk from times square so ideal for theatres etc, check in was easy and we were upgraded to a double deluxe room, the room is a good size and came with a great view.
LOVED this hotel. Room was beautiful, bed was comfy, bathroom beautiful. The rain shower was so nice, I wanted to take it home with me.
We had the deluxe King room it was very clean, spacious, bed & pillows comfy. Great location, awesome stay would absolutely recommend
Only there for a meeting but seemed like a great place to stay!
Great experience!!! Our first trip to NYC was fantastic and a large reason for that were the wonderful people at The Westin at Times Square. Thank you!!
Great location, getting on any train is very convenient (the only thing good about times square). The hotel and restaurant's decor is pleasantly beige - it feels spa-like throughout. The waterfall showers are lovely and get up to a nice temperature.
I was charged twice on two different credit cards for my room and when I called to let them know. They argued with me and told me it was correct. I had to call three times to be put on hold for 30 min for them to finally say we will credit your card back. Then stated it will take 10-14 days. Not sure why it would take that long. My card got charged double the same day so not sure why they can't give my money back same day. This has been the worst experience ever dealing with a hotel. They never apologized once and I am still waiting on my credit.
I was there for an exam. I can't vouch much for the overnight stay. Just expect it to be crowded I guess.
Really nice service here. And excellent facilities. Though often crowded! With frustratingly long lines at reception.
Friendly staff, clean and well-equipped rooms. The only flaw, the breakfast costs a mistake. Immediately below, along the 8th av. between 42 and 43th st. there is a bakery where you can have a breakfast with all the trimmings. To avoid the "delicatessen" on the corner, there is really no comparison
Great place!!!! Staff was very friendly with great service.
Very disappointing stay. Horrible leak in bathroom went unfixed through reported three times.
Ac was "working" but could not maintain temp below 79. complained of this, and someone came and said it was fixed, but it was not.
First world troubles for sure, but you expect good and reliable service when staying at a Westin, but we did not have this.
Beautiful location for tourists, but will not stay here again.
Great location. Room size not bad. Very clean and contemporary decor. I only wish that the bathroom had more counter space and that there was free Wi-Fi other than just in the lobby.
I was working but it looked really nice inside! Friendly staff!
Excellent front desk making a hectic NYE run smoothly
The lobby is nice and cool with plenty of comfortable seating options.
The hotel was right next to the Times Square. The staff was very friendly. I would especially like to call out Sara Wells, who went beyond the usual to help me obtain certain documents. I would definitely recommend this place to whoever is visiting the area.
I thought that me paying 1300.00 for 2 nights is alot and for the bad service i recieved was terrible and i wont be going back unless i get a discount. They were telling me that to use thier silverware i had to pay 30 dollars because it wasnt a utility service. I asked for a crib never got it till i went back downstairs. The bellman ignored me when i arrived at the hotel and when i left they also ignored me they didn't even help me with my luggage.
The room and the hotel in general were clean but the staff was rude
Guest-focused staff, spacious rooms & awesome view.
Room was nice, bed was very comfortable..loved the shade that blocked out the light. Bar and restaurant was fun and drinks were great.
different weekend and very good. best the best. I LOVE NEW YORK
This has been the worst experience. Last night there was a dangerous situation at the hotel and NO ONE was concerned about our safety....in fact when I spoke with them about it they said "they had enough customers already" they didnt need our business. We felt unsafe and unwanted. I would NEVER RECOMMEND this hotel to anyone. A video of the experience can be heard and seen on twitter.
Large hotel offering many rooms for meetings and conferences with great comfort. Only complaint is that it is hard to find your way in the hotel
The hotel is fine but the gentleman at the luggage service is EXTREMELY RUDE, and even a bit of racist. This is the second time to be in this hotel. I wouldn t have written comments if I was treated with respect.
By the way, could you please not delete my photo!?
If anyone is searching for great deals for hotels and resorts browse through . booked a resort on there and these guys had the absolute best prices just about anywhere!
Nice place to be with good starting point for all activities to explore this amazing city. Room was a little bit "outdated/old-fashioned" but big enough and with a fantastic view. :-)
This deserves every star!! Beautiful room with great views of the city
Scruffy rooms, shocking breakfasts, an extra star for the view
Great location. Very comfortable accomodations. Helpful staff.
The room was not up to par with the cost and start eating of the hotel. I felt like I was staying at a Courtyard.
Right down town, conveniently located for times Square. Also has an amazing taco stand right beside it
The hotel was very nice and the staff was beyond kind
The Westin Times Square is always a great property and the location is close to the square without being right on it. Close to lots of popular shows. The restaurant on property is always a good choice but tons of great options within a block. The only drawback I ever have here is that I am SPG Ambassador level, and you would never know it. The staff really does not care. If you are a frequent traveler, this hotel just does not do anything special for you.
Very small area between the conference rooms on the 3rd floor on the east side
This was my second time at this hotel, and I Love the service and the hospitality. Looking forward for the next visit.
Literally, this is the worst experience I had. They charge you for everything, including making a phone call to the concierge using the hotel fixed phone line, I removed two bottles of juice out of the fridge to store my own food, and then put it back, they charged that two bottles of juices even though I didn t consume them at all. I used room service one morning for breakfast, the price on the menu is 33 dollars, it turns out nothing like the menu describes and the picture shows, I generously paid 10 dollar tip to the guy who brought up my breakfast, then when I check out they charged me 60+ dollars, as the front desk explained I need to pay the service fee and plus the tip! 60 dollars for two eggs, two sausages, some French fries, a glass of orange juice, and a tea bag and a bottle of hot water! However the worst of all experience I had with them is on the second night I stayed there. In the morning, I find there is a huge blood stain on the pillow, and a disgusting dead body of a blood sucking bug! I have never imagined that in a five star hotel, I reported to the hotel front desk. They changed me to a different room, without being apologetic at all. And then when they transferred my luggage to the new room they broke my luggage. In the end, when I check out, I questioned some charges, the member of stuff treated me like I am an idiot (sorry I am from Europe, things are different there. When I ask a question you should explain your American system to me, not question me back!) anyway, overall, it s a catastrophic experience, I will never use this hotel again.
This paragraph is added when I am back to London, 4 days after I checked out this hotel: I find red rush and spots around my neck and upper back (see pics). Although I am not professional in medication, I cannot say it is caused by staying at this hotel, but given the fact that I had been bitten by blood-sucking insects during my stay (pls see attached pics), I dare say there is a high probability that it is caused by unclean bedding in this hotel.
This paragraph is added 5 days after I checked out from westin and just saw my GP (general practitioner, local doctor). Pls see the diagnose note and rashes around my neck (in the attached pics).
Wonderful staff and great location. Rooms are a bit small but normal in NYC.
Decent rooms but a little dated. Good location though. Service was inconsistent and they charged us USD$11 for a bottle of water that we didn't drink. I only noticed it on our statement after we had left so left a voicemail for the billing department with no response.
Here on business. Room was neat and clean. They put $150 on hold mainly for room service and then there is no menu. Every thing is high dollar. Nothing really complimentary. Give me the runn of the mill Marriott any day.
I went here for a work related training. The catering for lunch was top notch. The rooms were good.
I love Westin, but not so much about this place. First of all, this high end hotel is right next to a strip club... The lobby is nice, but the front deck could use some more smile. If you are going to have breakfast in the restaurant on the first floor, go early, as the line and wait time can get very long and frustrating. The restaurant manager is the most incompetent person I have ever seen in my life. She doesn't know how to run a place like this and have pissed off many customers waiting in the line. I would not come back to this place.
We booked this hotel from29-5-16 until 30-6-16 the same was with a sofa bed since it was father and daughter, we were mistreated by a receptionist of Colombian origin which is called Doris all for the sofa bed we We showed him the mail, how the reservation was made and he continued insulting us, we called the agency where we had made the reservation and left the pockets in the concierge and we went for a walk, it is clear that the company that made the intermadiacion claimed because after a while They were calling the hotel that ours was fine, thankfully and thank God we did not see this lady again, but I will never forget that mistreatment that I still do not apply because everything else is fine.
The hotel staff were friendly, patient and understanding to my family and I, being tourists. The room was immaculate and well put together. The view was outstanding. My only recommendation is don t open the mini bar! Not even to look inside lol. We had a surprise charge at checkout because we were curious, but we were able to get it all squared away. All in all, I d stay again.
