This hotel was the absolute worst! I have stayed at other Westins in the past and generally enjoyed my stay, but this one was a dump. Our room was outdated and dirty and our view was of what I think were AC vents and a wall...the area inside the wall was littered with dead birds and garbage. NASTY. To make matters worse, our credit card was charged $85.05 in amenities fees. We stayed six days and had already paid over $30.00 a day in resort fees (which is fine because that's a standard charge for these type of hotels). However, I am really irritated about the "amenity fee" ...especially after how crappy our room was. When my husband called he was told the amenities were things such as coffee and bottled water in our room as well as usage of the pool. I think we drank one bottle of water - other than that, we didn't even use any of these so called "amenities."
I will grant that the lobby area of the hotel was nice, but for what we paid, we could have stayed at a 5-star hotel on the strip. Unfortunately, we'd never been to Vegas before so we went with what we trusted in the Westin name. NEVER AGAIN.
BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR HIDDEN FEES CHARGED TO YOUR CARD AFTER YOU LEAVE!
First room was noisy, but they able to switch me to nice, quiet room. Beds are really comfy!
Come along way, they charging for parking soon so if your not a guest get ready to pay, remodeled w a pool, same owner as sls, Enterprise car rental on site and on point
Not much Vegas activities here, good for business stay, better alternative than the aging Flamingo, the next hotel over
A good hotel. The advantage is the lack of a casino. In the center and yet quiet and peaceful. Nice swimming pool upstairs.
Have stayed here that last 2 years during Super Bowl weekend and had a great time. Hotel has the most comfortable beds, it's close to the strip and they throw an awesome super bowl party. Highly recommend this hotel for super bowl.
Good place to stay if you want to be walking distance to the strip but want a quieter place than one of the big casinos. As expected for a Westin, very nice rooms, beds you wished you had at home, and of course that Westin scent they use. Bonus was a free drinks happy hour nightly.
Beautifully placed good hotel near Golden eye in Las Vegas
Ok hotel. Staff is great. But you can get a better hotel price and better room at most of the casinos. Plus the tables at the Westin are not open till the evening. Just stay at a Casino.
We're Canadian visitors with a potentially biased review. For the nightly rate, location, quietness, no adjoined casino and customer service... this place gets a solid 5 stars!! However, my one negative note, which would otherwise drop this down to a 4 star, is the resort fee. While I understand this is common practice for hotels on the strip with massive (resort like) facilities, I don't understand how this hotel can justify it since it's not exactly on the strip and there aren't any resort worthy features. If there's some law or regulations that state otherwise, then please disregard my note. On the flip side, there were some billing errors that were quickly resolved which resulted in the hotel comping our resort fee's due to the inconvenience. Again, top notch customer service! So.. Would I return with the resort fees.... Yes, but feeling just a little less satisfied.
Didn't go into the hotel because my job didn't require it
Not the best Westin around. Definitely not the best Vegas hotel.
It's the quality of a Hampton Inn without the free breakfast, down the block from the Bellagio, so don't expect to be wowed in any way.
It's actually not as nice a Hampton as they have a pretty big problem with their water heating system. Our shower went from normal to ice cold several times throughout each and every shower we took.
They didn't stock any toilet paper beyond the half roll so we had the opportunity to use Kleenex tissues.
They have essenced water in the lobby, which is nice, but over half of the time it's missing so don't get your hopes up after that long walk in the heat.
The beds are nice but not any nicer than a Hampton.
Clean rooms, great pools, lots of activities available.
Nice quiet room, close to the Strip bit not on it. They're getting rid of the casino which is also a huge plus in my eyes - I believe they're expanding the restaurant instead. Staff was very helpful - Greg in particular was very warm and courteous when we checked in.
A hotel that is not on the strip that offers services like the spa, complimentary gym and gym gear if you forget, a bar, work station in the lobby, pool and hot tub. Great value for what you are paying.
Needed a room to spend an extra night in Vegas. The Westin is inexpensive compared to the Strip Hotels and it's fine/OK. Pros: The Heavenly Bed (the best in the business); public areas are much quieter and less foot traffic than the Strip Hotels. $5 minimum BlackJack tables. Cons: The walls are paper thin, you can hear everything from the neighboring rooms and the hallway. Showing its old age. The manager can be a bit argumentative at times.
Definitely served it's purpose for one day.... ONE day.
The hotel is 300 meters from the strip. It has a casino inside but it is more a place for businessmen. It is located on Flamingo road a few steps from the Flamingo and the Ballys. It is not a place for honeymoons
The older little asian lady that works the bank is very rude and dont speak. I was standing at the counter wait for her to cash out my ticket she was in the back of the countroom and she could still see me from the back because, I could see her every clearly. Im saying hello and shes says give me a second with attitude , 5 mins later she comes back to the front counter and snatch my ticket away from me and then she proceeds to give me my money and I said thank you she just looked at me crazy. Bad for business.
Standard Westin experience. Clean and efficient. But the room is showing its age and need a little upgrade.
It's a nice place. The food from the restaurant by the entrance I can't remember the name was delicious. The Starbucks has no hot foods just desert and drinks. The conference rooms are a good size.
Friendly staff but kind of a pain with all the construction.
The rooms are clean and updated... the staff if friendly and helpful... the other reviews I believe are not correct... A hotel located just off the strip... within close walking distance to the strip is worth checking out!
Everything you'd expect from a Westin! Clean, neat, and appropriately labeled for Covid. My favorite part? There aren't any slot machines or game tables! Perfect for a family that wants to enjoy Vegas without witnessing too much in the way of bad behavior.
Was debating between a hotel on the strip and this one.. Being spg platinum I finally decided to stay here.. Just checked in and don't like the place. This place has no shuttle to anywhere and not even a lounge for breakfast .. For the price i m paying per night I think i would like to stay right in the center of the strip next time..
Excellent hotel, very different from its competitors of the strip. Here, no casino, a more muffled and calm atmosphere. Nevertheless a few steps from the strip to enjoy the attractions of Vegas!
Have not had any issues with my stay yet. Nice rooms and hot showers. Can't review the pool or restaurant as I have not been down yet
Nice that you don't have to go through a casino to get to your room. Long wait at front desk.
Excellent value for money, clean rooms and bathrooms. Good bed and good acquisition
Westin treated me horribly. I booked and PREPAID for a room more than 2 weeks before my arrival date, received confirmation emails and money was taken from my bank account. When I showed up to check in, they said my reservation is cancelled. Well, I didn t cancel it, and I received no communication about a cancellation- and the desk clerk proceeded to tell me that Hotwire was not authorized to book rooms on that date ( Black out date ) and THEY should have notified me. Well, when I called Hotwire they said that is not true and since I prepaid I was owed a room, and was Westin was most likely overbooked. Westin basically kicked me to the curb on a Friday evening in Vegas AND took my money. Terrible way to treat people.
The main reason why we booked this hotel was we wanted to be walking distance to the Sands Expo Convention Center.
Location:
It is easy to walk Sands Expo Convention Center and Las Vegas Strips.
Atmosphere:
Family, Business, Kids, and any types of generation can be welcomed. There is no casino at this hotel. It makes you feel relaxed as soon as you walk in to the lobby especially coming from really busy atmosphere.
Room:
We stayed at deluxe room (1 King bed , small sofa for 2 people)
Amenities are good, Shower room is good enough spaces.
Bed:
The mattress was amazing. I am side sleeper and usually i get a bit of shoulder pain from the bed I am not used to. This time, we walked more than 20K steps everyday we had muscle pain on the back as well but next morning, it helps relief and I feel really recovered from good sleeping. I am wondering which mattress brand there are using.
Overall, it was really great hotel and great location to the Las Vegas strip. You should be able to definitely relax here especially after visiting the crazy busy casinos, street and places. It is great environmental for kids that they don't have to inhale really bad smoking and see gambling scene.
I highly recommend this place and I would be coming back again if we visit to Las Vegas.
Staying at this Westin is always a pleasure. Nice clean rooms and great service.
Rooms were great. It got cold from the air conditioner at night which was amazing for sleeping. The rooms were nice and the bed was comfortable. The pool was amazing! It was small however; the water temperature was soooo warm and comfortable. It was amazing. Almost like bath water, so relaxing. I would definitely stay here again.
The staff at the Westin is very friendly and most accommodating. The room was beautiful, clean & always well kept; service was excellent. I would stay there again.
This place is alright about 10 mins walking distance to the strip and high roller . Rooms are clean but the AC is horrible doesnt feel like it cools down in the rooms and hallways
It s nice being just off the strip. Very slow internet, the room was clean but had some dust on lamps. Room cleaning wasn t done on our room until 5pm, so if you have to come back around that time your room might not be finished. Overall a decent hotel.
My first time staying at a Westin wasn't too pleasant. The check in process was all right, they had a good crew, but the rooms are in desperate need of an upgrade. The doors, the walls, wallpapers, the bathroom, tv channels - almost every feature looks dated! I did however like the little lavender balm! Then comes the food - options at the hotel were very limited..the one we tried for breakfast was just okay. Also, the food we had (breakfast/dinner) catered as part of our event was pretty terrible. Both the menu choice and the quality of their offering were disappointing. Not recommended.
Not as fancy as other Westin. Outdates but is being renovated. Hence the good value for money. Aircon is old and noisy. Service is good.
The staff gets 5 stars everyone friendly and attentive. Easy check in and check out
The room gets 3 stars, nice bed , nice tv bathroom gets 1 star old tub didn't drain very well
The location 3 stars close to the strip but A little walk to the action
The reason we booked the Westin was the low pet cost vs MGM and Cesar properties. The hotel LACKS any grass for the dog to go to the bathroom. The Westin does have a very small turf pad with two bushes that my dog got an allergic reaction when he came into contact with it. The location of the turf pad is also a very sketchy location, multiple times when taking my dog to go to the bathroom I saw a sleeping homeless man laying close by on the employee break area. I wouldn't feel comfortable with my wife taking the dog out by herself.
Lastly constant construction noise can be heard in the room UGGGGH!!!! The bathroom actually supplies ear plugs , that doesn't fix the problem it puts a band aid on very bad experience!
The hotel is nice it smells good. It seems clean the only thing is sometimes the sheets smell a little old
Very clean, service was amazing. Every single one of the staff, with no exaggeration, was so nice and went above and beyond. Went on a business trip and they treated me so very nice and with a ton of hospitality. The food at breakfast (although you have to pay to get the real deal) was so delish and worth it. The dinner at the hotel restaurant was top notch. Definitely highly recommend
The Westin Las Vegas on Flamingo a few blocks away from Las Vegas Blvd about 5 mins walk. No casino in the hotel. Free parking.
When did a catered event at this location that was very beautiful and the food was very good
Alright place. But the hotel check out was a right drawn out event taking almost an hour
This is a great hotel for the price and it is close to the strip. I would highly recommend it
A little off strip, but very close walk to the centre, near Bally's and Bellagio. As an SPG hotel, you get all the benefits of starwood and customer service is excellent. Would definitely stay again.
Newly refurbished rooms they're just OK no casino located in hotel. Not that great.
Beautiful hotel, amazing service, and every amenity you could ever want or need close by. I would stay here again!
We decided to stay at the Westin becuase it was rated high. We didnt expect it to be this good. Our view, OMG! Was AWESOME! and the pool WAS GREAT! The pool was not big, but it did the trick for a 4yr old and a 6yr old. We had a mini getaway for dads bday. Staff friendly, bed so comfortable, the rebovated room AWESOME! Front desk fast(Ms.Lynn- she was friendly and great with kids---got them coloring books and did the best for them to have a great check-in/check-out experience) It was excellent! Just one exception, the room being cleaned. It wasnt cleaned until we left. It would have been nice for the room to be cleaned meanwhile we left for breakfast like other hotels. Anyways. Other than that it was a great stay. We didnt experience the spa...not enough time but we will for sure be back. Thank you Westin. We were very satisfied.
Advertisement everywhere 24hr Starbucks but no Starbucks. Apparently it's closed for a few months for remodeling.
I cannot day enough nice things about the staff here, specifically the front desk team. They were so welcoming when I walked in and then during my stay I lost my wallet (or it was stolen) and they were so kind and helpful, which made a really stressful situation a little less stressful. I just appreciate it soo much. Feeling thankful to have stayed here this trip.
I was attending a social event and the rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. Not sure what else to say, but it was a good experience.
Rooms are ok. Located next to the Strip.
Parking was a mess. Too less elevators. Rooms clean. Staff very Friendly.
Nice quite rooms. Not as close to strip as thought but also not super far either
This hotel is not the high end Westin you would find anywhere in APAC but feels more like a motel. The beds are great though, everything is clean and the staff is fantastic.
Breakfast is really good and one of my favorite features of this hotel is the Starbucks in the lobby operating 24hrs - this is after all Lad Vegas, where else would you find such a thing.
Parking is free and close to the reception and the location is great and easy to find.
Nice size hotel and a walking distance from the strip.
Clean and comfortable. They could use more staffing at the pool but other than that pretty good.
Room was well taken care of and the free happy hour with drinks and appetizers was amazing. Not the best hotel, but overall very pleasant.
Parking is free (Venice is also free), the resort fee is 30, including the breakfast price is a simple meal, make up 10 pieces to change the full buffet, close to the main street, if the special value
Perfect location, close to the strip and across the street from the monorail
It is strategic because it is very central but in a less busy area. Very nice, free parking and Starbucks inside. Free WiFi for guests too
Great spot to stay when you want to be close to the action of LV boulevard, but also want to have a nice quiet relaxing atmosphere in your hotel. And as a newer Titanium member, the staff all did a great job answering any questions I had and were very helpful in general. The comp breakfast choices were great and the service from the gentlemen working in the restaurant was top notch.
Also, despite a bit of a miscommunication on the pet fee, the front desk staff was very help and reasonable. I look forward to staying at this property in the future and would definitely recommend giving this location a try.
They allowed me to check in 4 hours early which was awesome since I had been driving 20 hours ....
You can hear from your next door neighbor talking or or taking shower. I woke up everyday at 5:00 AM due to the wake up call from next room. The amenities charges is $25 bucks plus tax, even I did not use any of them. Will stay somewhere else next time.
