No casino in lobby for people who prefer a quiet stay. Bally is right across the street so you can still get some gambling in before bed
No casino in lobby for people who prefer a quiet stay. Bally is right across the street so you can still get some gambling in before bed
Rented a car from the Enterprise kiosk in the lobby of the Westin. Clean facility, with a Starbucks on the west end of the front lobby.
Great hotel. Has all the facilities you need and quieter than the strip hotels but only 5 minutes walk from all the action
Weird mix of Vegas and Westin. The rooms are nice enough. The lobby casino is small and annoying. The bar the same. Since this is off- strip, it would be nice to have that feel. Put the casino off to the side with a small bar. Add a bar that's a refuge.
Have stayed here multiple times and I am always very pleased.
I used their parking lot. My car was safe and I was grateful for the free parking. Make sure to chat with the valet first before parking.
My colleague (gold SPG member) had bed bugs in the room (04/10/2018) and and the hotel staff didn t believe her because she didn t show them the actual bug. That s ridiculous and terrible.
Nice hotel. But felt basic for Vegas. Parking was good, food was not. WiFi had some issues connecting and staying connected. The main exit also puts you right into traffic so I would advise exiting the car garage exit.
The website is deceptive of the accommodations you receive. The rooms are run down and walls are paper thin, so you hear everything happening in other rooms. The cost of the hotel was greater than those later on the strip, with far less accommodations. I would recommend finding alternative options for your stay.
Clean rooms, wonderful breakfast, excellent friendly staff.
I stayed here in 2010 while on a tour of the US and really enjoyed it. The place is not exactly right in the middle of the strip but I guess that's what makes it a nice place to stay - away from all the rush. They also have a casino in the hotel which is nice for passing some time if you don't really want to go out that much. The room was comfortable; typical Westin service and quality.
The hotel room was nice. The only things I was disappointed was the pool. It had too much chlorine in it. Hard to breathe at the pool.
We spent 4 nights with my family on this hotel and everything was great. The staffs are great the environment is great for the kids because no casino at all for this hotel.
The pool is awesome and The surround ambiance is totally great. We absolutely comeback for this hotel. I forgot to mention the lake view that gorgeous. Overall the experience was great.
Definitely we going to come back for this hotel. Thanks Westin Hotel,.You Rockkkk!
I stayed at the Westin Hotel on two different occasions (January 2014 and May 2014) and was happy with my stay both times. The hotel is not that far from the strip or Cesar's Palace, and when you eventually get on the strip you are somewhat in the middle of all the fun. I think the Westin is an affordable place to stay that has both the perks of being a walking distance from the strip but doesn't have the same amount of foot traffic as the strip.
The hotel also offers free wifi and water bottles as part of the amenities. (Which I believe is approx. $20 a night). The rooms are clean and very comfortable! Both times I stayed here I got the view overlooking Flamingo Rd.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and would stay here again!
Very clean hotel. Great price for the size of the room. I'd say the only downside is the location. There's no casino on the floor level so you have to walk about a block or two to the Strip.
Gerald from the front desk was unpleasant to deal with. While the hotel itself was nice, the experience was ruined following an interaction with Gerald who was unhelpful, defensive and childish.
Update 2: After leaving feedback on a corporate survey, the hotel made contact and took compensatory actions and asked to make it up to me upon next visit, which is very nice and they tried very hard. The only thing missing is an assurance that this is an anomaly. Upgrading to two stars for the follow up effort. I ll re rate next time I stay to see if they took corrective action or paid it lip service.
Update: your in room email address for the gm@westinlv fails. And I m still at your hotel. You make no effort to rectify anything as evidenced by your reply here earlier. Complete ambivalence.
17 floors and gold gets you the 6th floor facing nothing. Right.
Awesome breakfast buffet, tasty, high quality, and lots of choices. Try the parfets ... Awesome.
Nice luxurious but not over stated lobby.
Fantastic customer service at check-in and Restaraunt.
Ideal location.
Definitely not the best hotel on the strip, but it does the trick if you're looking for a deal. Rooms are clean, bar area is ok. Distance to the strip is fairly easy to walk unless its super hot. The one major plus to this hotel is that there are a couple perfect local breakfast places nearby, that allow you to avoid the crowds/chaos of breakfast in Vegas.
Location is set a bit off from the strip, prefect is staying for business purposes
The Westin is a beautiful hotel just off the strip on Flamingo. It does NOT have a casino any longer but it has wonderful restaurants and even a Starbucks. It is only a short distance to Las Vegas blvd.
I was put in a conjoined room. Could hear everything from the other room.
Attended a conference at the Westin & spent 2 nights there. I made a huge error with my reservation but the staff was gracious and assisted me. Check in was perfect and my room was spacious, clean and comfy. The amenities (sewing kit, lavender sleep balm & more) were appreciated.
Beautiful! Views! Quiet location close to strip. No casino in the hotel. Wonderful clean updated room. Great service and attention. Breakfast buffet. Parking for a fee.
my wife and I stayed here a few days after a convention. Because we are Marriott members we like to stay at their hotels. When we arrived they had placed in a room a nice assortment of cheeses and fruit and champagne for anniversary. Then when I requested they brought me up an HDMI 2 cable so I can watch game of thrones. That's the extra level of courtesy they provided us. I highly recommend this hotel should you decide to stay at a Marriott property.
This is one of the worst hotel experiences I have had in a long time (I travel weekly for work). The room was clean, but the AC fan was SO loud I had to keep it off at night (it s 100 degrees). When I came in the room it was rattling, but was able to use my fingers to bend some of the grilles so that stopped.
This morning I got woken up at 7am by a maintenance worker peeling duct tape and painting. I asked him how long he would be working and he said all morning. The noise travels right through the doors. Why would you put someone in a hotel room right next to where they are doing maintenance work? I took video of this, but unfortunately am only able to post photos here. Will write another review elsewhere that allows videos.
The location is nice since it's off the main strip but not too far and everything is walkable. The rooms themselves are not that nice. They are dated for the price you are paying for a SPG hotel.
Very nice hotel just 1/2 a block off the strip. Good location. Excellent service. The only reason I only gave 4 stars is because they are doing some remodeling and it was a bit confusing to get to the lobby from outside
My room was broken into. I know for a fact that hotel staff (who isn't in house keeping uniforms) have been walking in and out of guests rooms and leaving the halls through the emergency exits when they see guests coming through the halls, and I am appalled by the way your management team is handling this matter.
The first thing I was asked was whether or not I had left the door open. I had not, and I can't believe that this is protocol. I know you guys have security do a walk through of each floor and notate if a room door is even slightly ajar, and I asked them if they saw it open, to which they responded no.
I asked them to go through video footage because I know you guys have cameras and because I have a right to know as a paying customer who was in my room, how they got in and why they were there, although why seems pretty obvious. When I inquired about the footage, Rosa told me you guys were "further investigating." Investigate all you want. I want to know who was in there and if it was someone who works for your hotel. After I called customer service, they called Rosa who told them to let me know that I was the only one with access to my room... So reading between the lines I can only assume that she means no one broke in and that my husband and I are imagining the man that was standing in our doorway at 5:30 in the morning.
You guys have the footage. If it's someone who works for you, I expect you guys would have a lot of legal trouble on your hands once it gets out that your staff is breaking into peoples rooms at all hours of the night and stealing from your guests. And if it wasn't staff, if it was someone else, I'd like to know how they got in my room in the first place without a key. Maybe you guys should change all the locks. Maybe there should be a better system in place. Maybe you guys should give me answers and focus more on protecting your guests and their personal belongings rather than worry about protecting yourselves.
Thank God my husband was there because I was breastfeeding my 8 month old child when my door was opened and a man walked in through the door way.
I have already contacted the BBB, and I would like answers -not a free cup of coffee from Starbucks.
Very accommodating, easy to get to and from the strip. Great atmosphere.
Small casino, but enough games and tables to keep you entertained.
Nice hotel just off the strip but still close to everything.
Good Hotel, the business meeting rooms are quite cold though.
Service is amazing. Just a minor hiccup, their AC and Heater did not work properly even after the engineer "fixed it".
Great experience, really enjoyed our stay. Minor details like stale coffee at the breakfast buffet let me refrain from giving 5 stars but I would totally stay here again. Loved the view from our Premium King room with Strip View and the location just off the Strip (=really close but also really quiet!).
Really nice and quiet hotel as there is no casino in the hotel. Friendly staff and early check-in available for $15.
Rooms are ok, but very old. The service is regular. No too bad, no good.
No way to cash in slot machine ticket other than cashier booth
Very agile hotel, got all I asked promptly! Could do better maintenance in the room - light in bathroom was blinking.
Very mixed hotel but there isn't any scenic view no matter which side you look out on. Dissapointed.
Good location for a work trip - close, yet far enough away from the strip. Clean rooms and very small casino
The maid stole my debit/credit card information. The room was exceptional, however I accidentally left my wallet behind the morning of the 7th in room 1632. I called the front desk to inform them, when I received my wallet, most of the money and credit cards were in there but not even a day later, I had fraudulent charges to both of my cards.
Nice enough. Probably not quite as nice as a standard Westin... popcorn ceilings.
Priceline gave me this hotel at Name Your Own price of $85. Honestly, for that price I do not have a complaint. At $199/night normal rate, I probably would be disappointed. Although, I have stayed for that price at a dumpier hotel on the strip. Bottomline is, any person can have varied personal experiences with staff, rooms, even the area, etc. As far as my experience goes, the rooms were small but comfortable for 2 people, especially since we were just there to sleep and during the day we were out and about on the strip. The beds were very comfortable (heavenly, they call it). The bathroom was decent, showerheads were nice. Starbucks coffee in room coffeemaker. The hotel smelled surprisingly nice despite the smoking in the casino area. Lobby and rooms were smoke free. Receptionist was friendly and helpful. Not much of a view for me but don't care, if you want a view- go outside and walk the strip! One block to the monorail on Flamingo. We were able to walk to Caesar's, Bellagio, and Palazzo without trouble. Walking from the hotel to the strip and back was a bit sketchy as you go through a not so well lit part of Flamingo St, but we survived. I agree pool was small, you can certainly see some stains and rips on carpeting, tile and grout was a bit spotty on the cleaning. Overall, not anything I can complain about for $85/night and just a place to put my head down for the evening. Breakfast buffet was a bit pricey and not all that great- probably better off going somewhere else.
There was an 02 civic out back I broke the window and got in. It was mine. I hid the keys inside.
Rooms are very nice with a fair price! Lobby staff were extra helpful with check in and guest services
Very nice hotel. Big rooms, nice staff and reasonable beer prices. Cheaper than staying on the strip, but only 3 min walk away.
Forget the negative reviews this hotels staff was amazing. The hotel room was very clean and the location was amazing. I will stay here again.
Decent hotel. Starbucks down stars.
Pool and gym were pretty good
4 STARS! NO CASINO QUIET AND CLEAN . 10 MINUTES OFF THE STRIP IT'S A WESTIN!
Better than expected. Great reception area, modern decor, nice bar with large seats.
It is a good hotel the location is very good and the price excellent. highly recommended for those looking to save a few dollars.
The Hotel is great, good customer service, great location, the only thing I don't like is they charge $21.00 for parking.
I was there long hours to work for a convention group, will be great if they validated the parking ticket when you work there and if you are a local with a Nevada ID.
It's ok. Not as good as the cosmopolitan, but it's perfectly acceptable. We booked a 2-bed room and were given a 1-bed room, but it's a king bed. That might be because we showed up quite late though. The room is fine, the parking is free, the hotel has a teeny bit of gambling.
Great place! Stayed the weekend celebrating my bday and the service and comfort was just above and beyond.
We got checked in early! Yay!
Rooms were clean and comfy! Yay!
Gym! YAY!
Lobby Bar, great service! Yay!
Great Job Westin Las Vegas, I will come visit again. I didn't get to try the restaurant or the breakfast buffet or the prime rib dinner though I so desperately wanted to. Next time!
Broken air conditioner , old facility, room service takes like half an hour. Please don t come
I enjoyed my stay overall. The room was large and comfortable and the pool was great.
Had great comfortable stay, I would definitely prefer to stay here for my next visit.
