Friendly place where they let us hang around and watch the NBA finals. The food was delicious though priced about what you'd expect in a Westin connected to the airport. Service was a little slow and disorganized but very kind. I had the standard burger. No complaints. Veggies were fresh. Pickle was soggy. Fries were crispy and scrumptious.

The hotel has the coolest lobby area. The ponds of water are very relaxing after flight delays.
I love the TSA check, so convenient to have it right there, in the lobby.
The room was clean, and the Westin beds are always so comfy.
Wish I had work in Detroit, just to stay here.

Very beautiful hotel, couldnt even tell I was at the airport after entering into the lobby. Throughout the hotel a very pleasant smell which was very relaxing. The room was spacious with a comfortable bed and the room completely sound proof even being on the gate side of the hotel. Definitely will return when taking another early morning flight.

For an overnight stay to fly out the next morning, this is a great hotel. Clean, prompt service, nice rooms, foods not bad, and the view from the room, the airport tarmac, can't be beat. Overall, we've stayed here prior to flights several times. Very nice hotel.

The main entrees for breakfast and dinner was acceptable. Our professional group was over 600 so most of the the people ate in the lobby. The facilities were clean and the staff was very attentive. Starbucks coffee and Voss bottled water was a nice touch to go above and beyond

The beautifully remodeled Westin at DTW is my favorite pre-flight stop. Great service, food, drinks and nice atmosphere make for a much more relaxing experience than the hustle and bustle of the terminal!

Expensive and they nickel and dime for everything. WiFi charges and $5 for generic bottled water? No thank you. Eating at the restaurant, the service was slow and at the bar, the bartender was barely paying attention to the patrons. She was there but playing with the computer. The hotel looks cool but isn't worth the price. I've had better experiences at a motel 8

4x pelaton! Unfortunately rooms are a bit small but most travelling alone or for work won't mind. Biggest downside is there is nowhere to go outside the hotel due to the location but from a pure room /gym standpoint it is one of my favorites in the area.

if you don't have your own car don't stay here the airport doesn't allow cars or other companies to pick up at the Westin here at the airport so you'll have a nice little walk to get to the vehicle

The hotel is beautiful and most of the staff is very helpful. The room appeared to be cleaned very quickly so some things were certianly missed. The complimentary water was not left, bathroom supplies were not all refreshed and the fitted sheet was not properly in place.

Also if you are in the north terminal it will be a longer ride than you'd expect from the hotel (not a problem with the hotel, but worth considering).

Id stay again if i was in the area, but this experience was not the best (especially for the price)

This is a beautiful luxury hotel with huge, comfortable rooms. Despite being right next to the airport runway, the rooms are quiet and private. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. The catered food for my conference was some of the best I've had at a hotel, and the 24 hour room service is a great perk even if I didn't use it. The hotel connects directly to the airport, which meant I could breeze through a dedicated security entrance and walk right to my gate from the lobby. However, this location also means there's nowhere to go in the neighborhood - you're pretty much confined to the hotel if you're there. The rooms are also bathed in a "signature fragrance" that provoked a severe enough allergic reaction that I had to run to the gift shop to buy a dose of Benadryl.

Great hotel, we upgraded to a runway view for our stay. They have a shuttle between terminals (if you aren't flying out of the one attached to the hotel). Loved the showers and the soaps. There was a fridge in the room but we couldn't get it booked up. They also had beside lights for late night reading. Bedding was clean and bed was comfy. Room service was available but we did not use it. The only issues we experienced were the tub had rust spots in it and the bell hop was supposed to show up by 5:45 am (we made the request at 5am) and we eventually had to leave because we needed to get to the other terminal.

Very disappointing visit..food was ok nothing that great..service was terrible ..and restaurant not very busy..prices were very high..for the treatment we got..hotel itself isn't that good..staff dress sloppy and act unprofessional. .this location is awful..rooms are 300.00 night..definitely would not reccomend. .this place really needs better management and a complete overhaul. .this is still a Starwood resort...and is so bad.

Stepped on a sharp screw that was just tossed in the middle of the room and blended in with the carpet.
Reached above my head and wiped tons of dust off the headboard. Disgusting. This is way below standards of our typical Westin stay.
The location is great. Two stars for convenience.
I will be addressing these issues at checkout because it's late and our son is asleep.

The Weston is attached directly to the delta terminal at Dtw so it is extremely convenient. The rooms are not huge but are sufficient. They come appointed with high quality linens and cosmetics. Some of the public areas are under construction, but did not take away from our stay.

Stranded in Detroit for the night and couldn't have asked for a more caring, hospitable stay! Very well taken care of at a stressful time. Would recommend for even a planned stay! Amazing staff!

Absolutely horrible service. The concierge doesn't even smile. Extremely unprofessional and unapologetic. Gave us a handicap accessible room and argued with us stating we requested for that when we had proof that we didn't. We went to The bar/ restaurant downstairs and one of the guests warned us of extremely slow service. Overheard another guest extremely upset as they were waiting on their food for over an 1.5 hours. Requested for an extra bed and were assured someone would be delivering it to our room in a few mins. After an hour later and calling the front desk , was told no roll outs were available. For being a four star hotel , the customer service is horrendous. Please do not waste your money staying here. We regret it.

Great night's stay! Nice comfy room and great location if you are flying out of the airport. The hotel had its own TSA checkpoint that made getting to my flight a breeze! I'll stay again next time I'm in the area!

Literally in the airport, with all the Westin charm. Has its own security point so you can check in online, then head on to security and be right in the middle of A concourse. Try to get an even numbered room in one of the higher up floors to get a view of airport itself. Fast and easy check in process, and the staff is super nice and helpful.

Even though I paid for the accommodation at the travel agency, I checked the card settlement and the hotel charged me for the accommodation. Of course, I reported it to the travel agency and the card company and asked them to cancel it. It was the first time I ever traveled. I stayed at a high price because I was next to the airport, but it was disappointing because it was in renovation and it was inconvenient for food and shopping. Moth

I travel for work and stay in hotels at least 25 times per month. This hotel is by far the greatest hotel that I've ever stayed - and I mean that. Although located at the airport, I didn't hear a single airplane during my stay. The towels felt like I was being hugged by Jesus. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean and welcoming. Airport security was right outside the lobby so I was in the McNamara terminal two minutes after I checked out. I wish I could love here. Not even joking.

The hotel is very centrally located, which was great. The lobby was enormous and very nice. The paint needed some updating, along with some of the hallways and congregating areas. Some areas were, however, very well maintained and looked to be brand new. Our room was nicely appointed, with a big bed and nice furniture. While there, our toilet malfunctioned. Not just a little. We called the front desk for assistance and they said they'd send staff up to check on it. They didn't come up. So I walked down to the lobby (a 5 minute walk) to get legitimate help. The clerk called a custodian and when I got back to my room, there was no custodian and no help. The water from the toilet had been overflowing for probably 15 minutes by then. Water was coming out of the bathroom door, into the room, and into the hallway. When we finally gave up and left (5 hours before checkout), I stopped by the front desk to complain and they told me (rather harshly) that they were aware of the issue. I'm not sure we'll be back. There are other hotels in the area that have time to help make things right. To top it off, my spouse and I both got sick that evening, and I can only assume it was from being in literal contact with standing toilet water for a part of the morning. So I guess 2 stars because the room was comfortable, but I'd have given 5 stars had the staff fixed our pretty significant issue.

I travel for work and stayed in so many different hotels. This hotel was one of the best ones I've stayed. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The room temperature, lighting, bed and even comforter on the bed were just perfect.

The bed is super hard and the pillow turns into a piece of paper once you put your head on it. The lobby is beautiful, but then when you get in your room, you can hear your neighbors talking on their phones at normal voices as if they were in your room. Great looking place, just terrible bed and walls. I got 2 hours of sleep because of the noise and bed.
