We had dinner and our server, an amazingly friendly man. The kids menu is simple, our boys love the pasta with chicken. Our usual order would be the chicken quesadilla, side of fries, soup and side of greens and vegetables.

The Mac is an amazing terminal. If your flying Delta this the place to hang out. I always tell my friends to add an hour or two to spend in the terminal. It's a mile long with plenty of shopping.

I've travelled across America to attend various business conferences and have stayed at some fairly luxurious resorts, but The Westin Detroit Metro Airport remains one of my personal favourites. Why? Beyond convenience, the hotel is remarkably clean, modern and incredibly comfortable. I am always treated well by the staff and never leave disappointed.

If you're flying in or out of DTW, the Westin is perfect place to recharge your batteries.

This hotel is a nice property. It's very convenient being inside the airport. Also, like all Westin properties, the bed was so comfortable. The only complaint would be that room service is required due to COVID along with all it's fees. So a burger will end up being $20+. And there aren't any other places to eat unless you go through airport security.

I'm impressed. It's a bit of a hike if you arrive from another terminal other than the McNamara terminal. Very spacious and modern looking. Chicago needs to fix there airport hotel now. I'll be coming here

Very convenient in the airport. Price is high though especially the drinks at the bar. The room was a nice basic hotel room that was clean and well furnished. If you want to wake up and walk to the security check point, this is the place for you.

Solid breakfast. I've met people flying through DTW for a meeting there. Be aware of how much your meal is though; if I would have spent a few more dollars they would have comped my $16 parking.

Pricey but great place to stay when necessary. Beds are awesome, heavenly comfortable, rooms nice but need some upgrading. Restaurant food good. I never hesitate to stay here when necessary. Staff is great too.

Very convenient location. Simply walk right to it inside the C concourse at DTW. As you would expect, it is an upscale experience. Rooms are nicely appointed, beautiful lobby, nice restaurant and of course, the prices to match :) Certainly there are other food options in the airport within short walking distance. Overall a very nice hotel that I would recommend for anyone not wanting to venture far from the airport.

Great stay always friendly . The most relaxing way to get the airport early. The food and drinks for also fine. Only negative was we paid a premium to have exclusive TSA entrance into the airport. We saw large groups of people enter the hotel that were not guests and use the hotel TSA entrance slowing down guest.

Such a poor service for an upscale hotel on an international airport. They only speak English, they first charged the room of my mother to the person that was helping on the translation. When leaving, my mother left the key-card and asked with her limited English if Ok. The person said yes, but didn't checked her out. So she got the charge of the deposit still on her debit card several days after the stay. She has a us issued debit card but they couldn't charge to it so she had to use her foreign debit card. At least the room was nice, but this hotel really needs to work on the skills of the reception people.

Stayed one night, everything is extra. Want wifi, pay extra, don't even think about breakfast, even if you wanted to pay it will make you run 30 minutes late and will consist of a lackluster muffin. The elevators were barely functional and the stairs are confusing and locked from the outside so you can't use them to get to your room. The only reasonably accessible power outlet in the room turns off with the light switch, so good luck charging your phone at night. Bed was fairly comfortable, but I can't really recommend the stay as being a good value. You certainly get more bang for your buck and just as nice a stay at a mid-range chain hotel.

Right as I walked into the Westin the customer service was amazing. I had no problem booking a two night stay without a reservation. It's a great looking hotel with great food/bar as well. Would recommend to friends!

Great room at a great price. Awesome that it has it's own security check point to get into the airport, there was maybe eight people in front of me. Felt classier than the last couple places I have stayed.

The hotel was very nice. It was clean, quite, and the staff were very friendly and professional. I got in late and was very tired. They were very efficient and helpful and I was very happy with my stay. The room was extremely comfortable and staying there was a pleasure. The hotel is also right in the DTW airport, which is extremely convenient for frequent travelers. Rates are a bit on the high side, but definitely worth it, both for the standard maintained there and for its DTW location.

Great location actually attached to the airport and has TSA checkpoint to enter! So convenient. The rooms are quiet and comfortable and I could see part of the airport but couldn't hear the planes. Great if you want something convenient to the airport. Food is pricey but that's a typical Westin.

Great hotel outside security. The TSA checkpoint inside the hotel isn't open during off peak hours and isn't controlled by the hotel. Room was great and didn't have to leave the airport after a cancelled flight.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Platinum member service with Bonvoy. Awful experience second time around in a matter of months for business travel. Rooms do not cool. First time general manager made it clear that it was just me and that the room was calibrated correctly. Tonight at midnight with a wake up at 3am I have to move rooms. Stayed in a Drury in the night prior and it was excellent and $150.00 cheaper. This Westin does not represent the Brand well.

The most convenient airport if you want to stay at Detroit airport. This hotel is right at the delta terminal.
Rooms are nice and clean. You can order food 24/7, although there is a separate (shorter menu) from 11pm to 6am.

Overall a nice hotel to stay!

Amazing. Avid airplane lover and got a room overlooking one of the jetways. It was awesome. Apart from this the room was beautiful, clean, comfortable and just overall perfect. Highly recommend this hotel for everyone.

This 8-story modern, moderately-luxurious hotel is located next to the airline ticketing area (south) of the McNamara Terminal (outside security). The check-in desk is a decent trek inside which was not intuitive, nor well marked.

My room was on the 8th floor with a sweeping view of the airport tarmac/runways. It was average-sized but very clean (you can tell housekeeping does a great job) and featured one of the best hotel beds I ve slept in, in a while. The bathroom was elegantly modern and well stocked with Westin s own White Tea Bath & Body products; definitely a cut above the normal stuff.

The most striking feature of this property is the covered 8-story atrium/lobby with plenty of relaxing meeting space. There is a separate restaurant and open air (erm, atrium) bar which has a great late-night dining menu and friendly staff to boot.

Being a Marriott Platinum (now Platinum Premiere) I had access to the Executive Club Lounge. This is best hotel lounge I ve been to across the several I ve visited. Open 24 hours, it s complete with an expresso machine and good selection of drinks/snacks. Two thumbs up for the club breakfast; excellent, especially for not being full, sit-down service. I highly recommend upgrading to a club level room if not already a Platinum Premiere.

One unique feature of this location is the direct terminal access from the lobby. Of course, this doesn t help us folks who don t fly out of the McNamara Terminal (there s a terminal transfer bus), but I still think that s an awesome idea they just need a mini-Westin at the North Terminal As one of the best high, mid-tier hotels, I highly recommend staying here if you need a place close to the airport: !

Let me start with the lobby is beautiful. This hotel is very $$$ for the area but is connected to the terminals. Several issues once arriving in my room; hair on shower wall, no ice buckets in rooms; fridge isn t actually a fridge so no way to keep meal prep items cold and no stay credit due to being airline crew. Not what we normally see with ALL other Marriott owned properties and clearly will not be staying at this hotel in the future. Management did not even return my call.

We were told that our room would be perfect because it was easy in and out to the airport. It was the first room (323), next to the door that everyone has to use a hotel key to access. Needless to say the door was slamming all night long. Such a huge disappointment.
Dinner was just ok. We waited for over and hour for a burger, a turkey sandwich, and a kids chicken tenders meal that came out WELL done. My daughter wouldn't even eat it because it was so hard to chew.
Overall our experience was less than great so I wouldn't recommend staying here. For the price we paid, these problems shouldn't of occurred.

Avoid this hotel at all cost until the ongoing renovations are finished!

I started traveling in earnest 15 years ago when I joined a large multinational. Over that period of time I have visited 50 countries and racked up over 3 million frequent flyer miles.

During that time, I have never written an online review of any service provided to me. I didn't review the hotel in Vietnam that came with a lizard in the room or the hotel in India that included backed up sewage.

But today, in Detroit, I've met my boiling point with a the DTW Westin. When I made my reservation, it was clear to me that the hotel was undergoing a remodel. OK I've stayed in hotels being renovated, before and have survived.

Not today! I arrive to find a completely inattentive bellboy desk that was much more interested in talking to each other then greeting the guests. After wandering a maze of poorly marked temporary and dark hallways with out being offered any assistance with my baggage, I stumbled on the reception desk.

I got my room key and requested some assistance to get my bags up to the room. When after five minutes, no one showed up to help me, I decided to walk back through the maze to find my room. After passing an onslaught of disgustingly dusty tables, stained carpet and ripped wallpaper I successfully found my room.

Only to find, surprise, a dusty room with an inoperable window blind.

Because my flight schedule forced me to skip lunch, I decided to wander down back to the lobby to find the restaurant.

Instead of finding the restaurant/lounge I expected, I stumbled across a sad, clearly temporary set up of 1980s uncomfortable furniture arranged in a configuration much like a former communist, post catastrophe waiting room.

Because I'm an optimist, and had read some of the earlier reviews, I ordered one of the 'brick oven' pizzas. What arrived at my table instead was a pizza that was completely burnt around the edges, with a doughie middle surrounded by soggy pieces of melted cheese.

After sending it back to the kitchen, I finished my beer and went to bed.

Look I love Westin Hotels! I'm sure this hotel was once great, and it will be again. But until the renovations are complete avoid this place like the plague.

Is it because I am Mexican? One night 356 dollars, transformed into Mexican pesos 9600.00 exchange rate 27 pesos plus commission,
I wanted to pay with a card in dollars and they told me that it was not accepted, I paid with a card in pesos and that they charged me, it is a robbery in a simple room for one person.
I put them on notice to people who want to stay because of the exchange rate they make and they do not tell you how much it will be if you pay it in pesos.
