Westin Crown Center Review

The check in staff were very friendly, helpful and quick. The beds are comfortable, the sheets are clean, and the towels are the softest I've had at a hotel. The continental breakfast was pretty mediocre, but it was free due to my status, so I can't really complain. Overall a great experience.

It is a beautiful hotel attached to Crown Center in downtown KC. With the Link walkway, you can also visit Union Station.

The hotel is in a prime area, a lot of things to do in the vicinity. It is very slightly starting to show some wear, but overall very nice.

Hotel was great I just wished the connecting mall had more trendy stores for clothes, food, etc

Our stay was ok, not great. When we got there at 4:10 for 4:00 check in, our room was not ready. We were told they would call us when ready. Not ideal in the time of COVID or with two young children to just be sitting in the lobby. At 4:30 our room was ready. One of the hand sanitizer stations was out, again not great in COVID. The toilet in our room broke and wouldn't stop flushing. We tried to call the desk, the phone in the room didn't work. We ended up waiting two hours until someone came to fix it. I would give a lesser of a rating, but we used our rewards card to book the room, so it was free.

Good location, friendly staff, surprising amenities

The facility was very well kept. The wait staff seemed to be in a hurry and plopped our dishes down on the table.

Location is convenient, pool and fitness area are adequate but show signs of their age, rooms were just OK, nothing special for the price. Lobby area connects to shops and fast food type places which were convenient however, it brought with it transients that loitered. The highlight was the breakfast at the restaurant off of the main lobby, they had a tremendous selection.

Great views from the rooms overlooking downtown. Get a higher level room if you can, it's worth it! Staff is outstanding and I mean above and beyond I'm a BIG way! Awesome place! I will stay there again next time I visit Kansas City! Adjoining is Crown Center with shops and restaurants galore.
Not to be missed is the WWI Museum within walking distance, just across the street. Wonderful pictures and well written stories and facts I never knew about the war.
Go up in the tower for an incredible view!

Just explored as it was part of the Crown Center Mall. The garden area was gorgeous.

Everyone was friendly. Everything was in order. And the rooms where tidy.

Great service from the very beginning. As a platinum member I was upgraded to a suite, and was able to try the continental breakfast (which was amazing compared to some other Westin properties I've been to).

My room was amazing and the level of customer service by all staff from the brasserie, front drive and front desk exceeded my expectations.

Overcharge me. They told me one price and then I find out that it's was different than what they told me.

It was amazing. The pool area was phenomenal. The food in crown center was amazing. And the hotel rooms are definitely what you pay for. Only down side was that there were no smoking rooms.

Always very attentive to guests needs. Quick to resolve any issue that arises. Great customer service and fresh modern atmosphere. I'm the Kansas City native and in The Westin Kansas City at Crown Center for my staycations. If I Local choose to stay here that should say a lot about the quality of my visits.

I was here for a conference, so I don't know about the rooms, but the staff are nice and it's convenient location being connected to Crown Center and being near the streetcar.

The worst hotel I have ever been too. I have been to a crazy number of hotels. Most higher end like this one was suppose to be. I watched a manager chew her employee out for letting some guy who showed off and cut some meat he wasn't suppose to. On the floor in front of the whole room. For some reason cookies are allowed to be delivered to the room but not pizza deliveres. The lady and gentleman at the front counter were terribly hateful. Honestly will never check into another Westin in my life. Nor will anyone around me. The rooms and carpet were trashy and like I said. Worst experience ever. I am the most passive person, and I had to make a gmail account with my iPhone to let everyone know how aweful this was. Plus the room was outrageous expiensive and I wouldn't stay there for free.

Amenities that other chains offer are only available for extra fees. Considering the price difference, this was unexpected.

I'm always shocked at how large the rooms are. It's truly remarkable. The Westin is one of the nicest places to stay in the city. the suites are ample. The restaurants are nice. The only issue is that it's a drive to the Plaza, westport, River Market, etc. It's really an oasis in the middle of nowhere.

Beautiful inside n out!!! This is a great hotel in a good location for sightseeing... The lightrail is right across the street (by union station) and will take you downtown... It will also provide a good view of the city and close to several restaurant and retail locations...

A favorite Kansas City hotel connected to Crown Center.

I think the only complaint is the signs to the pool and certain areas really don't have any kind of map to them. Otherwise everything was very clean, the decor and feel of the whole hotel was wonderful. The fact it's attached to the mall center and aquarium are incredibly convenient and close. Staff super nice and helpful. Had a fantastic stay.

Always a classy stay. The staff are incredibly professional, kind, and helpful. My sister and I vacation in KC biannually and we return here because of the staff. The connecting walkways are fascinating to me as is the easy access to shopping and events. Our rooms have always been very clean.

Great location, pretty, and clean. Dog friendly to our 75lb dog!

The hotel is easy to . The parking garage is easy to get to bright and open.the staff is impeccable. Every room we saw was beautiful decorated and comfortable. Great hotel.

Particularly Angela, the cashier at the gift shop wowed me. I only stopped in for chapstick and Angela and I started chatting. Its not everyday a cashier has a profound impact on my day. She told me some history of KC and suggested the best that KC had to offer. Not only was she helpful, she was kind, warm, and inspiring. Angela was the 5th star to this normally 4 star review.

Walking thru the Westin hotel to get to the Link is a really pretty stroll.

Great hotel in a great location. If you want access to the fun things that appeal to adults (and kids) stay here! The rooms are huge and you'll get a great view on either sides of the building. The bar has been recently renovated and is pretty sleek. Coming back here to visit is always a treat at this location. The small restaurant has a great buffet with healthy options and an omelet bar. Easy, middle of the city access to Midtown, Downtown, or the Plaza... and a link to surrounding buildings for extreme temperatures.

The lobby is so nice, with lounge chairs, living walls, and easy access to the bar. Ask ahead about big events or crowds so you have time to travel on elevators. There are plenty but can get crowded.

The mall and the hotel are connected. And the hotel itself has nice restaurant bar and little shop inside. The mall doesn't have many store to shop except dining restaurants and little shop toys. Inside the hotel has rainforest waterfall area.

The hotel is beautiful and we loved our room. You don't even have to get your car and drive anywhere. They have clothing stores, restaurants, and a bar on the bottom floor. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!!

I love the lobby. The waterfall is the perfect backdrop for beautiful photographs!

Room was very clean. Hotel staff was very accommodating as well. Navigating the hotel and shopping center was well documented in the directories. I do however wish that I would have gotten more information at check-in regarding the activities nearby.

This would easily be a 5 star hotel, if there were free WiFi in the rooms. You might as well not have lights or bathtubs in the rooms. I need internet!!

Service was wonderful, really made our time enjoyable

We attended a holiday party for my husband's company held in one of the ballrooms and foyer. We enjoyed the atmosphere at the Westin. The foodwas excellent. We utilized the valet service and were happy with the prompt service.

It was very nice, but some of the staff members very rude.

We ate at Fritz's and it was horrible. We got tiny paper olates and no sauces on oir burgers.

Tub was dirty, the room wasn't cleaned we had to ask for towels 2 days it looks nice is a positive word

Fast and accurate service (check in / out). Attentive staff, kind, helpful. Spacious rooms, spotless and airy. Bathrooms very well cleaned and well kept. Swimming pool, gym (open 24/7) and large spaces. Great view. Good location. Comfortable stay. Adequate prices and online - even lower - with the competition. I would stay there again.

We recently visited to admire Christmas decorations. We used the Westin LINK to get to Union Station.
