Wendover Nugget Hotel&Casino Reviews

This place just needs to be shut down.
The air conditioner didn't work right. They sent the mechanic up, he made some noise banging on things for about 10 minutes, told us it should be working in a few minutes. It did for about 10 minutes then blew simi cold air, on a 100 degree day. We had to sleep with no covers on. The electrical outlets wouldn't work, or hold the plug in. The floor was unbelievably dirty. Mildew in the grout in the shower. Hair on the sheet of one of the queen beds, we were hot cause the air conditioner didn't work, so my wife n I were going to sleep in separate beds to possibly stay cooler, but that got squashed cause of the hair in the other bed. The lobby had peas all over the floor, some smashed by people walking on them. The hotel just looks like they aren't doing any upkeep at all..

The rooms are outdated. Hotel is outdated, buffet is probably the worst in wendover, and casino floor is outdated. You can definitely tell most people visiting wendover go to the other big three casinos.

We like the buffet there. It is a nice clean place while on the road

Ok place, 2 star-ish. Room had lots of stains, etc but cheap and worked well for us as we passed through.

We love the Starbucks at the Nugget, We come here every weekend to bet on football and we always stop to get a Caramel Frappes, Starbucks you are the Best!

Great food and friendly employees. However they need more tables open.

Its ok for a quick trip. There are nicer hotels in wendover

Good fun on weekends with DR . Food not great. Bus service trail ways hostesses are rude but casino staff are great and rooms are awesome games are great

It's making some good strides to get a lot nicer but definitely in a transition period. Our room was clean and the ac worked nicely. Sad that Trinos Tacos closed down. Went during Speed Week and there were many cool cars during the car show but it still stayed very well staffed and clean.

Shower water would barely go above lukewarm. No microwave or fridge in the rooms. Beds were awful - old and worn out. So basically it was a typical casino hotel room. I didn't visit the casino or any restaurants.

Very fun environment but the machines did not seem to have as many payouts as the other casinos around.

RV camp is a joke. There are only long term spaces, no WIFI as advertised. Casino has sign for valet parking but there is no valet.

If your going to have a website Nugget then ELEMINATE what's NOT available.

Horrible rooms! So nasty doesn't look cleaned at all! The bathroom in my room has black hair all over it, myself I have red hair so I know it wasn't mine also someone's playing card was on the floor in the room so clearly wasn't cleaned good enough or that would be been seen. Not worth the price!!!!

The Wendover Nugget is a great place to visit! The service is great and very attentive!

Went in for 23min made 289.00 bucks . I love this place.

I didn't stay in one of the rooms but the casino leaves a bit to be desired. It is extremely dark inside the casino. We used the walkway from the Montego Bay to the Nugget and as soon as we got to the Nugget side it was super dark. I felt very uneasy walking through a group of men in dark hoodies standing at the top of the stairway that leads down to the casino. The place needs more lighting.

Got the honeymoon suite had worse quality and upkeep than a best Western standard room . For 240 a night I expected more than a small room with a dirty jacuzzi . The bathroom door handle was loose and didn't lock the walls and floor were stained the toilet seat cover was cracked .

had bad time last sunday when we went. one of older lady pit boss not friendly very rude dont want to say names use to play there very time there no more try somewhere else for now on i go about 2-4 a month and this one time bad bad. their is alot of friendly works there. give it a try and see what you think.

Smells like a crack house chef couldn't cook a hamburger with out messing it up and over cooked prime rib and sea food hope new owner find someone that knows how to cook

What I thought would be a comped room ending up being just under $30. The air conditioning wasnt great. Beds were clean. Had a great night and will return.

It is very filthy and need a to be cleaned. The cafe had food all over the floor, not just crumbs but big chunks of food. None of the employees seemed too eager to clean it all up. The Nugget was once a nice place but I will never stay there again until they clean up their act.

The host are disrespectful they don't fix anything in the hotels we had to stand there for 45 mins to get our door to open and nobody that works there knows anything that is going on so asking for help is a joke and most of the people that worked there had attitudes with you just for asking questions for help but the gift shop was nice

The Nugget has always been fine for the times we spent. Can't beat the free rooms and 2 for 1 food coupon. You make it what it is. Thumbs up for the Nugget.

Awesome place!! won 900.00 at this casino.. Im thinking of coming out for my birthday next month!!! Cant wait..

The Wendover Nugget Hotel & Casino has great slots to play and good casual dining.

Seems it has gotten a little tight on there machines. However they do have a good arcade for kids.

I love The Nugget! Alot of it is still vintage which is cool. I'm not a big gambler so I love to go play in their bar area which alot of people don't seem to know about. They have air hockey, shuffle board, pool, darts and a juke box! I have been here a couple times when half the stuff was out of order but you can always play pool. Good times.

Just not the best visit this time around. They were under some type of update to slots and had no variety because of it. Got up to room and 1 of the beds wasnt made.

Was driving from CA to UT and got tired around 3 am. Decided I needed to sleep and these guys offered a decent price for a decent room. Did not disappoint.

Will not go back. Lost my reservation I had had for over two months. No maid service for two nights and we did not take free drink tickets they offered as an alternative. Elevators did not work part of the time. Etc. etc. Other members in our party had the same and more issues.

Casino is meh ok...but whatever ya do...avoid the prospector cafe...4x now...just insanely terrible service. Ive no idea how theyre still here. But good luck ;)

Paid almost $300 for Jacuzzi suite. Got a regular room with a jetted tub. No refrigerator one little trash can shower head plugged up with hard water. Like the covid 19 precautions. Temp checks Face masks but room quality was horrible not worth it never again!!

Everyone is very friendly & helpful .
We would highly recomend it to any one who wants to get away and have a great time.

The town is small, the action was 24 hours. No traffic I love it

Really love that place so very secure, comfortable for staying and for sure having so much fun out there , my mother's day visit was awesome , the workers we're so so sweet and very friendly, looking forward for my next visit .

Had breakfast here on a super quiet morning. Atmosphere was nice, smell was nice, staff were friendly and quick to help. Loved the food.

I saw no floor security in 3 hrs. One guy had his like 12 yr old daughter on his lap playing and 1/4 of the public was not wearing masks

The room we rented, was not very clean there was soap on the ceiling in the bathroom. Also lots of hair in the shower. I won't stay there again.

They've done some upgrades/improvements, but it still could use some work. Rooms aren't very nice. Wallpaper is peeling off walls and it's usually not that clean. However, it's connected to Montego Bay through the sky walk which then makes it bearable.

Good for what we were doing. Was hoping billiard's bar was open but it wasn't. Still nostalgic from when I went every month 8 years ago.

Only if I could give a negative rating, so I asked this heavy set guy in a suit I think they call him Cookie thinking he was a hostess, he said he get back to me I will find you, 2 hours later never heard or seen the guy on the floor again.. he must be on a cookie break.

Room was ok. Not great, not bad. I would stay again but it was nything special.

Do yourself a favor and stay away from the Nugget. I usually don't have an experience bad enough to write a review but this place was horrible! The staff was terrible, the elevator was out of service all night, the rooms smell like something died, and trying to talk to a manger is impossible. Save yourself a head ache and skip this dump.

Pool wasn't open and we were told it would be. Elevators didn't work properly. There was big chuncks of carpet missing. The curtains in the bedrooms were holy and off the track. Very dissatisfied with the stay and won't be back.

Everything was bad about this stay. I work in hotels so I know the standards that should be followed at any location. When we checked in the front desk agent was very unprofessional. She was digging food out of her teeth while we were checking in. Then when she handed us our room keys she told us our room numbers out loud, which you should NEVER do. It is a safety thing. She was lucky that there was no one in the lobby. Then after telling us our room numbers she didn't give us directions to our room and when we asked she seemed irritated that we didn't just know. Then when we parked our car there were 3 lights out in the parking garage right in front of the elevator location. This again is a safety issue. The rooms are old and need an reno but that is not important. My family and I have been traveling since 4am Denver time so we were hungry when we arrived. We saw there was a buffet on property and were wanting to do that but they are only open Thurs, Fri and Sat. So we decided to eat in the Nugget Cafe. The hostess was rude. The server was the nicest person we encountered during our short stay. As for our food my dad's dinner was extremely salty and my brother in law's dinner was not right. His dinner was supposed to have 2 tortillas but instead it was tortilla chips, almost but not quite the same. It also did not look very appetizing. While we waited for our dinner my dad went to gamble for a bit. He won $10. He asked a cocktail waitress if there was a machine he could cash out at and her response was "CASHIER." She then walked away and did not point him in the right direction. Over all this place needs some new training for their employees on proper customer service.

Room was clean. Smelled of cigarette smoke, to be expected staying in a casino. The mirrors on the wall were a little unnerving. Decent price for the single night we stayed. There is a small gift shop... Nothing worth buying

One of the better casinos in Wendover. Good music, although you get some unique people out on the dance floor ;).

Pool hall was fun and low-key. A nice break from the busy casino

our room was dirty when we arrived. it had stuff all over the walls the toilet looked like it was not cleaned for months, the lights would turn on and off and finally we had a non smoking room and it smelled like weed really bad. I went and told the manager who was on shift at the time and i got told there is nothing they can do with the weed smell. people are going to smoke and the light situation they will send maintenance up to fix just the light. We go out there a lot and usually the hotel is clean and the staff is friendly.... but not this time

New ownership at Nugget & Red Garter. Lots of changes (not necessarily good ones). Not happy with reduced comps & lower winnings on slots. Now prefer other casinos across the way.

It was dirty and the police officer said they had multiple thefts there daily and it was very unsafe. The hotel and cleaning staff were nice and it had a starbucks

My room was bad this time. No cooler or cold water. They need update the hotel fixture.

Will ban you from hotel and casino and offer no explanation. Has antique security guards that are laughable, allow people to harass customers playing machines for money.

Worst experience staying at the Nugget. My husband forgot his wallet in the room we stayed at. It took them a little past two weeks to get back to us. When they finally did they only gave us back this ID without his wallet.

An alternative world of poorly trained and uncaring staff. Amazing they stay in business. I think everyone is drugged.

This is my favorite casino. It's clean, the staff is polite and friendly and I love there tables.

The drinks were good and the bartender was nice, but the atmosphere could be improved.
