This hotel was very nice for the price and we loved the 2-for-1 buffet offer for booking online. However, things were not in pristine condition and the pool was dirty and neither the pool nor the hot tub were heated. Also, the manager could not tell us what time the pool opened. But overall, we had a nice stay.

I wanted to stay as close to Utah as possible, and this was great for that. It's also within walking distance of Carol's Black and White bar, which is one of the coolest local bars in town. The nonsmoking rooms didn't smell like smoke, which was really nice. And they must have some nice filters, because the casino floor doesn't smell much like smoke, either. The queen beds are really just full beds, so prepare for being snug, even in the deluxe rooms. The deluxe rooms do have really nice showers, which is cool. There really wasn't a view from the room, but nobody goes to Wendover for the view. This place also owns The Red Garter, so they gave me some drink coupons for there, too.
Are way better than the Peppermill and Rainbow I spent all my money at Peppermill rainbow the Nugget gave me way better comps food money on slots room for weekends or weekdays I think I'll be staying at the Nugget next time for sure Peppermill comp suck
About what I expected of Wendover, smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, and slightly depressing. Hold em tables were full of regulars, but had an alright time playing here for an hour or so.
Only hotel that had rooms available and we know why! The smoke detector was beeping when we got to the room which they did fix pretty quick. The problem is that they neglected to tell us that there was no cable TV when we checked in when we called down to the front desk their response was "someone is working on it but it won't be fixed by today" really!?! Come on you know that a cable company would be working like mad to fix a major client so what was the real reason?? The room was also supposed to have a fridge and instead there was just an empty whole where it should have been. The bathroom ceiling tiles were gross, mildew stained, and broken. We stayed in a freaking Super 8 that was nicer then this place!
We always have a Great time @ the Nugget. We can and play in Free slot tournament's. We enjoy the buffet and fine dinning @ the Stake house. We get enough points to have our rooms comped. Always a great escape from working all week
Stayed here this trip paid 60.00 a night for a Jacuzzi suite tub was huge and had a decent one in the bathroom too. I wouldn't pay the weekend price for it though wouldn't be worth it with no fridge. Condom on the outside of the balcony kinda gross! Stain on one of the chairs, sticky floor in the bathroom a empty liqour bottle between the conjoined room doors!!!
I rented the Jacuzzi room switch at first glance was clean then I noticed cigarettes ashes on the floor and what would appear to be a bloody buger from someone's nostrils. How gross is that. Even the carpet is frayed and needs replaced. I will not be staying here ever again
Hvac didn't work in the room , we had to wait for check in because they said room wasn't ready . Get to room and it wasn't clean . went to Golden Harvest Cafe for breakfast at 7am , waited for a server for 15min then left they where all standing together chatting. We have stayed here plenty of times and have had great times . This time was horrible and will probably never come here again.
The buffet is by far the worst buffet I've ever experienced. The selection was slim, the food was tasteless and overcooked, the service left a lot to be desired. I was very disappointed.
This is a sadly deteriorating place. From the outsourced reservations to the strangely staffed front desk (Check in by six pm or you will have to wait until morning!?! Really? At a casino/hotel?), this hotel has terrible customer service. Getting a clean towel was an unsolvable problem. The toilet in our bathroom was not fixed to the floor and fell over, and the manager was unhelpful and unconcerned. There are many obvious needs for repairs and some deep cleaning. The cafe/atrium was nice and had good food and service. The buffet not so much. Gambling area staff were fun and helpful. Play here but stay elsewhere.
Casino is on the smaller side. But have a variety of slots. Limited waitresses but seems that the ones that are there are on top of it. Rooms have been remodeled which is nice. A lot of the staff seems unprofessional...even rude
Plenty of free parking and rooms were reasonably priced. I paid about $70 for a Saturday night plus tax. Room was kind of dated and the carpet had numerous stains.
Last July we were on our way home and we stopped at the nugget. The rates for our room were great !! and the room was very clean and nice. Service was excellent and helpful , We are looking forward to staying at the nugget this year on our way to Denver.
The hotel was nice for the money. We had a coupon which made it more reasonable. The beds weren't very comfortable, the electrical outlets either weren't connected or didn't work.
Worst hotel rooms I have ever seen. Towel bar broken off the wall, door jam looked like it had been forced open multiple times, etc. They just don't care.
We won't be staying here anymore. We were given the run around in pricing with my free rooms I had and one of the rooms had a mouse in it and we had to switch rooms. We will be staying at Montego no issues there when we stay the weekend.
I gave it 2 only cause of the staff they were the only great thing about the place on this trip from MISSOURI to .CA . We stayed at lil out of the way places which were great, but we decided we wanted to stay in a big fancy place with a casino well our mistake. For the price we paid we could of went somewhere else. The place had no microwave or mini fridge. Bathroom ceiling and walls were peeling cause the place was so old. the towel rack was broken off and the shower drain was clogged so it almost ran over onto the bathroom floor. The sink had a big rust stain in it and you couldnt shut off the sink water all the way . The air was broken so it was to warm. we had to keep the window open. We went downstairs to play some slots so the room could cool down, bartender was awesome with drinks and he has an awesome personality. If I ever come back i would probably not stay there or I would look at the room first
Most things were fine, but the craps tables were empty except for my group and there was one dealer at the craps table that was incredibly rude and demeaning
I always end up going back to the Nugget. Good service and food, good table action, a high roller slot section. I wish the Cigar Bar was open, as well as the buffet, but that didn't really hinder my enjoyment this last visit.
The casino is friendly. I like the buffet. The tables are usually packed on weekends, but you can generally find a spot to play. The rooms are fairly clean and have little issues.
Looks like all the gift shops in wendover don't sell pints any more. & disappointed that cocktail waitress don't come around often & no more free drink tickets
Staff is super friendly and helpful, there's a lot of fun games, the table games staff was very upbeat and it was a very positive atmosphere. 20 out of 10 would go again.
Elevators rarely worked, power outage plagued the building, very rundown facility that should be torn down. Employees all have a poor attitude and seem unhappy which is a reflection on the management. Our room had hair on the bathroom floor and visible and noticable stains on the blanket which meant it wasnt changed after last guest.
Had the Nugget not been the only hotel with vacancy, I never would have booked. When I complained of the cleanliness and busted elevators that forced us to use the fire egress, all they would do is say sorry.
It's quite a hunt to make your way from your hotel room to the casino. There is no signage. We finally went outside and walked around the building. All of the food court businesses were closed. Buffet was open but the food was barely passable. Roast beef was so tough I couldn't chew it. I wouldn't stay here again. The AC in the room was noisy and barely worked. I think this place is on it's way out of business.
Now I know that it is covid but the room had no microwave, no mini fridge and no coffee pot in room. Now I am visually impaired and decided to come here for a 4 day stay to check out the slots. This place is not equipped for stays over one night. No comforts.
This place is dark not only by a lighting standard by spiritually as well. Not bad like evil bad but bad like you could get in to some devious trouble and be okay with it It's newly renovated it's not a bad place.
I feel like the Nugget is trying to up their game but probably don't habe the funds for a full remodel. They do have newer games, and all the old ones you might still like.
The room was really nice for what you paid. Some wear and tear in the room but not where it'd get in your way. Casino it's self was kind of desolate, granted I went during the week. The tables have ciggarete burns. The buffet was pretty not great. But with it's location and it's price. The wife and I were happy
I go to wendover at least once a week and i Love the Wendover Nugget. It is very nice, the jacuzzi suites in the atrium are very nice. I love the poker room and playing in the tournaments. The poker dealers are very nice and fun. The buffet needs more selections but the Nugget Steakhouse if delicous. Overall, I love playing poker there and I will be there Thursday for the FreeRoll. :)
Impossible layout, surly employees. Room clean but in poor condition, disrepair. No amenities in room at all. Very low quality. I will never stay here again.
Had a lot less smoke than the other casino's, wasn't as crowded (due to being more spaced out, probably had just as many people). Probably my favorite out of the couple I went to.
Really heavy smoky smell. I had a rude waitress whom never came by while I was gambling and refused to bring me a pop when I did see her. Poor service.
This has to be the worst casino I've ever been to In My Life. It's definitely due for a remodel. I was there on a weeknight and there were about four other people gambling on the entire floor. If they offered rooms for free on weekends I wouldn't go there
