It was a total nugget! This room was almost 300 dollars

The Wendover Nugget is a great place to stay and play. My first visit there I thought I'd try out the craps table for the first time and the staff was very friendly and patient with teaching me how to play. They taught me which spots are best to bet on for winning. They also have some really fun slot machines. Their rooms are nice for a great price and it's the first casino on your way into town so it's easy to find.

Don't listen to other reviews, the rooms here are cheaper and just as nice or even better than the other casinos. I was a little worried because of the negative reviews but our stay was great. We have stayed in all the casinos in wendover and this rated at the top of the list. The shower curtain was stained but everything else about our room was perfect. Loved the view and the jacuzzi was very nice. The staff was all hispanic but all spoke perfect english and were helpful.

Rooms were very clean. Service is great. Overall experience was awesome.

May change my rating although I feel it is unlikely. Checking in was less than desirable. Veronica's customer service was nonexistent. Her attitude left me believing she hates life and everything in it. There was an issue with their system although I only gleened that information after several (15) minutes of Veronica walking back and forth to the back office. First she told me I didn't have a reservation, then after giving her my confirmation number, she said I only had one room when I booked and guaranteed two rooms. Then after much proding she finally told me that she saw the room but it disappeared.
Now for the room. Ok except the security light shining outside my window and no curtain to block it. Called the front desk and he told me that he would send security up at HIS convenience. Dude it's 3 am, I am tired and want to go to bed and I have a flipping spot light illuminating my bed. We shall see if and when this issue gets resolved. My thought is this stay is rivaling my last stay in jackpot and I am pretty sure some one was murdered in my room there due to all the blood spatter on the wall and ceiling.

Update at 335a. Noone is coming to fix it and now the wind is blowing the sheer curtain around alot and the window is closed. Quality I tell ya.
Update 1p next day. Elsa is fantastic. She was so friendly and helped me out. She switched rooms and it's dark and warm. Yes. The manager did refund last night for me, which was good. Because of their efforts I will raise what should have been zero stars to three stars as an average. Elsa and the manager get five stars.

The rooms were large for a 2 queen bedroom. The staff was very kind to uh s during our stay. The waitresses would bring us drinks while playing at any table.

Had a very good time. The machine were paying very good today.

The rooms are clean the The front desk people are very helpful and we had a pleasant stay.

I ordered chicken not only did it take half a hour to take my order but when every1 else's food was done they hand the plates to who they go to they look at me and said sorry we are outta chicken can I get you something else I use to always eat there I moved to reno came to visit family it has gone down hill I would recommend peppermill Montego bay or rainbow ppl seem happier food is better and service is awesome

I always love to visit the Nugget when we are in Wendover for concerts or gaming. We can often get affordable hotel rooms and usually enjoy the slots and tables. One unfortunate thing is that Their website where players access could use a complete overhaul and always seems to be down or under maintenance and if u even try to check in 10 minutes early they send you away. .then when you arrive back at 3 you are in live with 50 other people...definitely could use some adjustments to accomodate guests.
Over all it is a great affordable choice

Wendover is a nice place to calm down relax and kick back after a stressful day.

Room was large and clean, but the tv didn't connect to anything, even flipping through all the channels (it also didn't have a remote) and they only provided one itty-bitty bottle of all-in-one shampoo for the room. There was also only 3 towels for a 4 person room. They did give us coupons for nearby stuff, so that was nice. The tub was big. Beds were acceptable. The casino was definitely serving up "prospector realness", I now know why it's called The Nugget.

Last night was the worst experience I've ever had in my life at a hotel! We got to our suite in which we paid over 200 dollars for to find the comfort have huge burn holes in it and the sheets had bloods stains in it. After this gross display I went down to the desk to to talk to the front desk and I was told there was no manager on shift. Then I was told that she had no idea why the sheer would be so gross and was extremely rude. Never once apologized for the issue after I became angry she offered refund my money. I then told her that we where 2 hours away from home and it was three in the morning. She looked at me like I was stupid then said to her co-work can you help them. I've never in my life been treated so badly in my life my wife and I had to drive home.

Well we received a promtioal offer in the mail. So I called and reserved a room. The offer was for a free room two nights stay, 2 for 1 meal and $45.00 in free play. When we arrived to check in. It was a $50.00 deposit which they never told is about on the phone. They said we will get it back when we check out. We did not get it back and it will be up to 5 days before it goes back on our card. Also No Directions or instructions to get to our room. What a Cluster F***k!!!
We did get our two for one meal but they take the lowest priced meal so it still wound up costing us $25.00. The rooms were nice, but no coffee pot or refrigerator no condiments either. When we got there they put $20.00 on my husband's players card then we were supposed to get another $25.00 today. We never got it!!!
No pool or hot tub, they were drained and closed. I DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE OR GOING AHEAD WITH ANY PROMOTIONAL OFFERS FROM THE NUGGET HOTEL AND CASINO!!!!

Darker and not as popular as it's Wendover counterparts. Rewards kiosk needs update. But biggest jackpot slots in Dover. Poker is back too.

NO damn hot water in room M116!!! $100 room and no God damn hot water to shower!!! Ridiculous!!!

It's ok, bot much to it. We didn't stay there very long. And we only went into our room to use the restroom once. However I can tell you that the A/C wasn't very good.

I had Hella fun and won a little bit lol i love da NUGGET.

Bed was comfortable and tv was huge. Other than that, the room was terrible. Filthy carpet, no AC, holes in doors, loose toilet, smoke filled room from the casino. I asked the front desk clerk if I could see the room first. She said no. We should have just left. Props to the cleaning crew- it was cleaned as well as could be.

The slots are really tight and expensive. They charge for certain drinks and service is very slow.

This place was and absolute joke. Almost every single machine was broken. There was almost no staff around. It felt completely unsafe.

Worst place I've ever stayed. Overpriced, no light bulb in the lamp. Flood light coming in the window with no way of closing the curtain all the way. The water was hot, too hot and we couldn't get it to cool off. The room was too warm as well and it never cooled off. I'll never stay here again!

I enjoyed a fun night in Wendover with my husband. The dealers were fun and helpful. The service was warm and frequent. The buffet was stocked with prime rib, crab legs, oysters, and anything else I could want. This was supposed to be our first stop of the night and turned out to be our only stop!

GREAT PLACE, GOOD ROOMS! THE TV CABLE WAS NOT AVAILABLE AND THEY ARE DOING THEIR BEST WITH COVID BUT OVERALL ITS NOT THE SAME EXPERIENCE FOR THE WORLD BUT IT WAS A GOOD ENOUGH TIME!

Nugget Gambling is very good and the complimentary drinks are on time, specially when I playing roulette, my favorite. I like renting the Jacuzzi rooms , those are big roomy adn very comfortable. I definitely will visit again soon

The casino is kind of run down. A lot of poker machines at the bar were not working. The room we stayed in was not in the main tower and it didn't look like it was well kept. The bathroom door was hard to close there was not enough room between the floor and the door so it wasca struggle to close it. The bathtub didn't look like it had been scouered it was dingy.

Bit too clean and some rooms don't feel so comfortable. Machines are ok and service is good. Place could be a little brighter and needs an upgrade.

The Nugget was the worst of the casinos. There were almost no tables open, it's very dingy and the cafe is horrible. Employees were unfriendly everywhere, especially in the cafe. Definitely waste your time somewhere else.

Always double-check your bank account or credit card after you check out. I have a fee that showed up try to get ahold of the hotel manager and no response every time I call she happens to be out of the building they will not call back what great customer service Bill somebody for something they don't even know what they're getting built for and nobody can tell me what it is

This place is a dive. Filthy dirty every where. Non Smoking room had an over whelming smell of pot, front desk could care less. Dinner at Cafe was only thing decent about the stay.

Just stopped by while passing through. I'm not a gambler, but the floor was relatively clean and not too busy. The buffet was decent for the price and the rooms were clean.

Had dinner at their Mexican restaurant which had delicious food but the service was very slow.

Checked out casino, but place was mostly empty on the Tuesday night.

Very expensive and the drinks are not served when gambling. Also, what was a big draw for folks who are not into gambling was the buffet. This is no longer available during the week.

... before Maverick gaming corporation took over... I used to actually get comps... Used to get $20 at the nugget.. $10 at the garter... Plus food comp.. plus free rooms.. then all that disappeared.. for some reason.. and then I got $5 in free play between both casinos ... And $10 in food comps.. then one day THAT disappeared... When i asked them why.. they told me because I didn't spend enough money there.. I spent $300 between the first of the month and the 18th.. how much do I have to spend to get $5 DOLLARS IN FREEPLAY.. AND $10 IN FOOD???
ESPECIALLY... When I used to get three times that...?

Cheap and inexpensive, service depends on who is working

Horrible! There is a reason they have the cheapest rooms in wendover. Completely wishing we paid a little extra and stayed at ANY other casino here. Don't let the remodeled lobby fool you. This place is still a dump if you look at my pics the ice machines are all leaking and there is BLACK MOLD on the wall where the paint has came off. The room we have was already damaged when we went in the curtains were all ripped up so we have to sleep with the curtains open and bright lights shining in our room. The staff is horrible and very unfriendly. Food is awful and gambling sucks here the waitress told us when we were playing the nickle machines and asked for a drink that we have to be playing the $0.25 machines or higher to get any free drinks which iv never heard of. The air doesnt work in our room only the heater when its 60+. There was just so many things that were horrible!l UPDATE just woke up to a black bugs crawling around in the room! cant wait to get home and shower this filth off.

I had the pancakes for breakfast. The side fruit should be avoided. Get the Hashbrowns instead. The service was so so. When your restaurant is empty it doesn't take much to pay attention to your only guest. Update: this review was for the service NOT the food. The breakfast was fine except the fruit. It was not fresh.

Very clean place, even though there are people smoking the casino itself doesn't smell like smoke. All of the staff in the casino, restroom, and buffet were very friendly and accommodating. This is a place that I would recommend and would visit again
