Wendover Nugget Hotel&Casino Reviews

Stopped by on the way back from Salt Lake City back to the bay area. It was a good fun spot to relax and enjoy a bit of time.

We went there because we wanted coffee and the Starbucks was located the. The Starbucks was nice and clean but while the also used the bathrooms of the hotel which were not clean.

We were loyal twice a month until new owners took our comped stays away. We had been staying here for years. Best Poker room!

Worst customer service ever I tried to book a room when the open date was given and they still did not offer up rooms then they gave a second date when they would be available to book rooms and again they did not take reservations so then I left 3 messages for manager to call me back and she never did...So good luck booking at this Hotel during speedweek the worst customer service due to their incompetence I am stuck at I dump motel outside of town.

The casino was clean and was easy to navigate around.

Really good food and the have an arcade for kids and adults

Bathrooms were pretty bad, urinals and stalls were closed off leaving the few remaining ones to get trashed by drunk patrons. Employees seemed disgruntled to help people navigate the casino. The floors and slot machines were fairly clean and maintained and the over all environment was good. The live band was decent and knew how to entertain the crowd.

Stayed a night in the Jacuzzi Suite, rooms are affordable and decent. There are obvious signs of disrepair and lack of upkeep. Rooms were clean but slowly falling apart. The restaurant and buffet are affordable and decent quality.I would recommend this Hotel to those looking for a cheap decent place to stay in Wendover.

I believe overall the casino is ran fairly well however I would suggest to hire more attentive staff, at two separate occasions where I waited for the a waitress just causally bring around drinks and at one point appeared to intentionally just pause. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and a $20 hoping that it was just a rough day

The rooms were comfortble and clean. The customer service was excellent and the price was reasonable. The buffet was fabulous. Would book here first.

I felt like I was in the ghetto of hotels. The rooms were piss poor. Never staying there again.

Great place to find an open table!! Stayed here before and liked it. A lot calmer than Montego Bay if you like a place to hangout and play some Blackjack!

The rooms are old and in need of refurbishing but the bed was comfortable and I got a better nights sleep here then I did across the street and you sure can't beat the price. They offer a truckers special that is totally worth it. Parking is available right next door at the truck stop or at the other end of the strip at the Pilot. There's a free shuttle from the Pilot to all the Casinos

I love this place it is like going back in time to when gambling was fun.

This is an interesting hotel. I decided to stay here cause the rates were fairly good during the middle of the week. Making the reservation was a little odd. Called in expecting them to want the usual information when making a reservation, but all they asked for was a name and a phone number. Not sure if that is normal or not since it is my first time staying here. Checking in was confusing as well. There was no one at the counter when I walked in and no real signs indicating where I go. As I slowly passed the counter looking lost, a person came out of the room. She was very pleasant, but asked for my players card and come coupons which I had no clue what she was asking for. Once again, first time visit. When I commented that I didn't know I needed a card to stay at the hotel, the clerk than asked if I was just staying, which was the plan. Turns out when I placed my reservation, it was put in that I would be using a comp work the room, which I was not. Heading to my room, I was surprised at how dirty the hallways were after getting off the elevator. I saw crumbs and dirt in multiple places. The room looked good though. Very clean compared to the hallways. Good amount of room and nice bed. I did check out the casino a bit. That was when I started to piece together the info about the player's card, points, and comps. Unfortunately, I had to figure most of this out on my own. When I signed up for a player's card, the system took awhile. I wasn't offered a brochure or information on the program. I did a little digging on the hotel's website to find the info. The casino seems about average. Many of the food areas were closed with no real indicator as to hours. The 24 hour cafe ended being closed too on the first night I was there for cleaning. I stumbled upon a nice atrium area in the middle of the hotel that has some tables. The area had okay WiFi speeds. Overall the stay wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. I would stay here again simply for the price. I just wish there was more information available. I would have appreciated a front desk person who asks if this is my first stay than providing some insight into the layout and location of various areas, or at least be able to point out where I could find the info. A map of the hotel and casino would be great too. I never did find the pool area, and I couldn't find where to go to find the walkway that connects this casino to the one across the street. There just aren't any real signs that indicate where stuff is. If you do plan to stay here, I suggest asking lots of questions since information isn't easily provided. That should help make the stay better.

The pool was not open when we went, the beds were old and small and falling apart. They need more parking for the hotel. Other then that it was a nice stay

It was s good as 60 bucks a night could get lol the room had some stains in one of the chairs like someone got out of the jacuzzi and sat in it without drying off, and there was a burn from a cigarette in the jacuzzi,The bed however was clean and comfortable, The casino was great but would of been better with more then one cocktail waitress running around.. overall I got what I paid for so no real complaints tho if you're looking for more I'd check elsewhere or do a thorough check of the rooms here before checking in and paying more then 60..

I went there in the Trailways bus, where you get coupons to use at the hotel; besides staff was nice machines we're winning. I had a great time

Needs updating! The rooms are really going down hill.

One of the cheapest rooms in wendover. Carpets are in poor shape, but most rooms are good for the price. The Nugget is far overdue on some maintenance though. They do have a pool and some of the best table games on the wendover strip. Personally I love the electronic craps.

Loved the atrium and the Cafe. Fun machines to gamble.

Had drinks at the bar, typical casino. Staff was nice.

Room from Hell ! Had a lot of water leaking into a light fixture water on floor.Air conditioner didn't work well. No help from staff. Was just told they well let maintenance know. Casino was warm as well. Not to fun in the summer.

Not the best hotel and casino there but reasonably priced and in ok shape compared to most out in Wendover. Rooms are perfect but there tables are so packed Friday and Saturday it takes forever to play here and with a friend near impossible to get on the same table together for lack of tables. But the food here is good and the rooms kept clean and affordable stay here then casino hop for your fun.

I like the club experience towards the back of the casino for black jack. They would really stand out if the designed the casino more club and dance like to fit a theme.

The service here is horrible, I found a big pice of glass in my drink and they didn't do anything about it!

It was all right by the time we went to the Nugget. The food places where closed. We went over to play the tables but couldn't find them.

No coffee or even a no fridge in the room and you have to walk clear across the building and go down to another floor for ice. Casino is ok.

Whatever you do - DO NOT book a room at the Nugget's based upon the picture shown on their website for a deluxe room because it is not even close to reality. I was floored when I opened the door to the room and saw the condition of the room. The bedspreads were too small, there were no bed skirts, the mattresses were shaped like bowls, the bedspreads were just pulled up over the pillows - not tucked like you would normally see, the pillows were broken pieces of foam covered with a pillow case, the darkening blinds had holes in them, the carpeting was soiled in several areas, the linen was worn and almost every piece had some kind of stain, the walls, trim and doors all had damaged paint and caulking. Absolutely NOT the finest place to stay in Wendover and I add that I am normally NOT a person to make comments like these but this room was pathetic.

Honestly the Nugget has always been my go to place to stay, but not anymore. The service at the front desk was awful and they had us waiting for someone to check us in for 20min. On top of that we had a mini suite that the bathroom was covered in black mold. No vending or ice machines worked and all the restaurants were closed the whole night. I don't expect much because it's wendover but the manager was absolutely careless when I informed her of the mold and vending machines. She stated it's not her job to handle those things. I'm a manager just like her and when it comes to black mold I'd expect someone to take serious interest in that issue. I payed 160$ for the suite for one night. Trying to do something nice for myself and my s/o but we won't ever go back. We've been staying here for years and this was absolutely the worst stay I've ever had.

I like the tables here. Slots are okay. Good staff. Remodeling the gift shop when i went there.

The Nugget was good about responding to my concerns after our stay in January. They made it right and our second stay was wonderful.

Doesn't have quite the flare as the other casinos in the area

I'm not happy with the room my husband and I stayed the night in. The TV picture was horrible. The plug outlets wouldn't hold a phone charger in the wall tight. The only out let that seemed to work was in the bathroom and only 1 worked. The shower water you couldn't get it warm it was either hot or cold. The tub filled up with water a little and took forever to drain. My husband and I were leaving to check out and tub was still draining. We didn't receive hand towels and wash cloths. The air conditioner didn't work very well. I wasn't impressed with the room at all. Red Garter rooms are better and nicer. The handle on the toilet had to be held down to flush. I'm very unsatisfied. I will never reserve a room at the Nugget again.

Very rundown, elevator out of order no ice machine WTF no hot water, never again.

Of all the places I choose to lose my money, this is my favorite casino in West Wendover to do so. 3 stars because...well it is a solid casino, but nothing amazing. However, considering the city overall, it's a good place.

Friendly customer service. Offer discounts for CDL holders. Call ahead for best discounts. Clean environment. Fast servers.

RIPED OFF-Jacuzzi Suite was was a run down DUMP!!!! Had maintenance in for AC; TV; Jacuzzi. Took pictures of Mold above the bed and damages everywhere. I hope this saves you money and go stay somewhere else. Was told Manager Stephanie would be in at 9am and then told she doesn't come in till 10am. The service desk attendant then asked would I like to make a complaint. I stated "yes". She then handed me a form to make suggestions on improvements. What an idiot!

Parking Lot seems dangerously delapadated. Needs new carpet, and the lighting and ventilation are not good. But the sports book is the only place for 350 miles where you can do in-game betting.

Someone is going to end up very sick. This place is disgusting, there is vomit everywhere. The hallway on the 5th floor has multiple areas that have vomit on the floors. The areas have been picked up but nowhere near clean.
Same can be said with our room. I've uploaded pictures.
Also mold everywhere.
HVAC broken and unable to be fixed. Rooms are very run down.

Food was mediocre, gambling was fun but came home less than what I came with lol

Updated lighting and fixtures have really given the place a nice face lift!

Montego Bay Rainbow Casino Peppernill and the Nugget will tell a veteran with a history of strokes to get off there property and to never come back because they were winning and they didn't like it.

Horrible. Front desk service very rude/disrespectful. Very little hot water for shower and heater didnt warm up room more than 65 degrees. Rooms very run down. Do not recommend

The food was sub-par and the room -eh, the jacuzzi tub in the room would have been awesome but we got a rash! The rest of the room was falling apart, and there were hair pins from the last renter but no shampoo for us.... no thanks, especially for that price. Go stay at Anniversary Inn!!!

Casino was great. Hotel room was horrible !!! The phone didn't work so we couldn't call room service to fix any of the many problems we had. The heater didn't work at all only blew out cold air, phone didn't work, jets to the jacuzzi was broke, the shower kept turning off and on by itself and to top it off we had ants in the room not done by us. We paid a lot of money for a room and we are very disappointed. The casino and casino service was great. The cafes service was super slow it took us about half an hour to get one sandwich.

Wendover was an ok hotel, I like playing there because there's not alot of people.

First time staying at this specific Casino got a room there ended up being Q-tips on the floor didn't look like it was very clean we weren't going to be spending much time in the anyways but they could definitely work on their cleanliness

Worst hotel casino ever. I paid cash for all my rooms. I had 4 rooms reserved thru my credit card. When i arrived I paid cash. Now I see 3 charges on my credit card for 3 of the rooms. They wanted me to fax over the receipts. They have messed up my credit card balance and my credit card is over the limit of what it should be. This is going to hurt my credit.

The cashier was inexperienced and even told me he was new. He messed up on the receipts as well. What a headache. I will never stay at the nugget again.

It was a pretty fun night. Security was a little over there top and of course you always run into a dealer who has the attitude that they'd rather be somewhere else, but most of the gaming was fun. Rooms where of a standard Wendover quality. Somewhere between the Ritz and a Motel 6.

The one thing I went there for was the pool and jaquzie. They were closed they didn't have that posted on their website. Neither did they have prices for anything else they offered on their website. Except for their buffet. They had that posted. Also when I called the front desk for anything the attitude I got from them was that I was wasting their time

My favorite spot in wendover. Have no complaints. The VIP manager Celia (i think was her name) gets the honorable mention. Sweet lady and is on the ball.

Fun place to go food good clean surroundings but its to dark in the casinos
