Wegmans Food Markets Review

Love this grocery store it's really an amazing place to find all kinds of different foods from all over the world. There is a huge assortment of snacks and treats for any age. A wide selection of cooking supplies. Foods from all genres and cultures. You can spend hours shopping or just a few minutes if you follow signs and use express checkout. Really helpful staff always looking to assist or help you to the care if needed. Even dining for freshly prepared foods, a dinner hall, etc... Not much else you can ask for.

Great pharmacy. Bad parking lot. The store feels very cramped and over- crowded.

Busy little store but has everything you want or need.

Being from Fl, I never thought that I would love Wegmans grocery store like I love Publix. But I'm a 100% sure, they have to share me. Wegmans has A1 everything, just like me and fir that, Thank you!

It's a fine Wegmans but after the hubbub behind its construction it's basically just a microcosm of their flagship stores, a bit too crowded so if I ever go it's before the Sun is up.

This parking lot isn't just chaotic and annoying, it's just plain dangerous. It sure would be nice if Wegmans would just own up this mistake and correct it without further accidents or injuries. Unfortunately, it's unlikely that a company the size of Wegmans will willingly correct even such an embarrassingly poor parking lot design without further incentive. I suspect that only once it hits Wegman's bottom line, in the form of multiple lawsuits and loss of revenue, will this ridiculous problem finally be corrected.

Parking lot is a nightmare. Apparently they need and have their own personal police to guide traffic there instead of fixing the issue.

Smallish store doesn't carry everything I'm looking for, which is fine, but don't go there expecting everything, just maybe some small stuff you forgot somewhere else.

Can usually find what I'm looking for at Wegmans. They have exceptional customer service. Can be a bit hectic at this location due to its size but overall a pleasant experience. They offer great fresh food as well. Only negative is their lack of brand diversity when it comes to the products they offer. They don't offer many alternatives to the Wegmans brand of whatever it is that you're looking for, and the Wegmans brand is usually cheaper. I personally dont find this to be too much of an issue but for those picky people who need a very specific brand of something a store like Tops might suit your needs better.

Literally the worst parking lot on earth (seriously, be careful, it's dangerous, they have parking lot attendants it's so bad - although they just stand there and don't do anything), prepared foods are mediocre to decent quality for extremely high prices, and very frequently have things out of stock on the shelves.

Why for the love of god did they continue to screw with the parking lot?? Just let me leave!

Horrible parking lot, so overpriced hot and ready foods. But decent selection of food stuffs and organics.

Hi wegmans hi there creepy man in normal attire going back and forth watching me to see if I steal do you think I do not notice you does it help your overall day to make sure you can keep those people in line being at ease allows a customer to spend more not less why would racial profiling ever benefit anyone when it actually does more harm than good for the community why do ignorant humans assume that minorities cause problems what about humans as a whole wegmans seems to not see others as customers but as mere cattle that need to be tagged and followed so to continue the capitalistic agenda to forget that we are all the same except maybe more may tend to be proud of being ignorant do not think that ignoring the epidemic of nasty behavior tends to manifest in ways that hurt everyone not just the customers feeling uncomfortable in your store hidden cameras ovbious cameras people in uniforms people pretending to be shoppers do not assume that causing anxiety and unease will not affect your brand yet shopping as I often do allows me to find that everywhere in the usa people are worse than (something gross) they enable the existence of ignorance to endure and manifest the deterioration of progess toward something more powerful like unity are you wegmans as a collective whole aware that being kind to everyone not just some gets you farther than disregarding how people may feel why is everything so divisive ? You are powerful enough to change your ways start something positve in the community it may change how happy one can become and stop the fear of the unknown , it is just old like some of your produce .the end.

I've actually been avoiding going here as much as possible. The parking lot is a nightmare. The one entrance way for entering and exiting the store is a bit hectic. It's a small store and usually feels crowded and busy inside. Also, the buffet has very few gluten free options. Almost everything has soy sauce in it, which is not gluten free and very disappointing!

It has everything you need for a Wegmans but the person who designed the parking lot should be fired. When it is busy they need a police officer to direct traffic in and out.

Cramped and chaotic supermaket. Good range and a high quality but this is not the place you go for a relaxing shopping experience unless you like playing bumper derby along the isles. Prices are a little high for a lot of stuff there.

If you like seeing the collapse into chaos, go there at noon on a weekday.

Wegmans is the best grocery store anywhere. Love their sushi and Wegmans brand products.

The newest Wegman's in Rochester. Has an excellent Italian restaurant attached.

This might possibly be one of the worst grocery stores. I recently moved to NY from another state and after hearing many wonderful things about Wegmans, I decided to try out the closest one to my house. The East Ave Wegmans is incredibly crammed to the point where people are constantly running into each other. The aisles are so narrow that it is difficult to get around others without feeling stressed out. It is incredibly difficult to find what I want to find. In addition, this parking lot is incredibly dangerous. I have given this store a few opportunities and each time I am constantly more disappointed than the previous time. I will now be taking my business to Tops.

Services are tarable i do not like that other ethicists treat u as if u are worthless and they are better then u or they will not talk to u because u are not there color or religen and feel it is funny to treat us as people poorly

I hate the parking lot at this Wegmans, but otherwise I love the store.

The food is all ways fresh delicious I love to shop for food there it is amazing

This is Danny meeting the needs of the area, smart business man, unfortunately this use to be a very nice area not anymore, will shop at Pittsford store more my speed.

Everything feels too close together, the layout of things is rather confusing to get a hang of, and maybe I always go too late, but all of the cashiers seem like they took a Xanax a couple hours before.

The design of this place before remodeling didn't make any sense. Rather than making it like the other stores with nice wide aisles, they just continued using the bad design. It's like trying to maneuver a truck backwards down a blind alley without mirrors. Still nicer than most grocery stores.

I hate going to this wegmans , try to avoid it if possible.

While the location is convenient, getting in and out of this place is usually a nightmare unless you hit it at extreme off hours. The parking lot updates did nothing to alleviate the traffic issues. If anything, things got worse. In addition the interior is still cramped. I wish they shrank the lot and expanded the store. I treat this Wegmans as the last resort stop if I don't feel like driving out to Henrietta or Pittsford.

A small but well stocked Wegmans. Impressive what they've fit in such a small location; most of the usual features of a Wegmans.

A good central location. Well maintained and managed. Though it is the most cramped and hard to park in locations here in Rochester. It is a good compromise for those in the city. Good choice for food due to its variety. And always good sushi during their operational hours. Though they are the highest prices store generally speaking in the area. Some would say it's well worth it for the quality.

It's Wegmans. Seriously, if there is a better grocery chain, I've not been to it.

So many options for eating at the cafe. But store itself VERY VERY small. Aisles are very narrow.

Avoid peak hours because it can get very busy. The parking lot is poorly designed too and just exacerbates the crowdedness. I love their selection of products though except for their chip selection which is weak. Atmosphere is nice if you can find a time when there aren't many people there (after 8pm or before noon).

Excellent supermarket! Always clean and well stocked. People are very friendly that's a thumbs up

I'm not born and raised in Rochester so I am not amazed by Wegmans. They have most everything you could want, you just have to wander to find them. The inconsistency from location to location is annoying. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE PREPARED TO HEAT SOUPS. BOTH MY SON'S BROCOLLI CHEDDAR (WHITE WATER BROTH AND A GIANT CLUMP OF ?CHEESE? AND MY LOBSTER BISQUE (VERY LOOSE BROTH NOT BISQUE AND NO LOBSTER TO BE FOUND) WERE BELOW EXPECTATIONS WHICH ISN'T HIGH SINCE THE BOY LOVES BROCOLLI CHEDDAR FROM SUBWAY.

Still a great store, just doesn't have all the selections the others have.

Very dissappointed wegmans.... first holiday season I have not been able to get artichokes for the holiday season....in addition lately I've been trying to get my usual products and time and time again its out or the only option is the expensive "organic" brand that I refuse to buy. It is really annoying... east ave is the closest location and it's becoming very dissapointing.

Tons of hot buffet choices, amazing staff, no wine at this location, beer only.

This Wegmans is a little smaller but has what you need. Parking lot is a pain to move through at times.

Its clean and its a smaller Wegman's. I like that because some Wegman's stores are so large and spread out that shopping takes considerably longer

This Wegmans store is okay but it lacks a warm, welcoming feel. No one has ever been rude but they couldn't be accused of being too friendly, either. And the parking is nuts unless you go later at night. I believe the lot was expanded, but it hardly makes a difference. It's still too crowded for me.

Gotta love Wegmans, they could make the rows wider though.

I love everything about wegmans. The only downside about this location is the parking lot, but if you go anytime before 11am or after 7pm the parking lot is mostly empty. The prepared foods make up for it anyway

This is one of the smaller stores in the chain. Built to replace the one that had been even smaller. It's been in the city for 40+ years. the parking still sucks but the rest is great. It will be busy all weekend and many evenings. As there are a bunch of office/factories around do not be suprised if you see people walking in for their lunches.

Way too packed inside. Makes it a hassle to check out or even try to walk in or out of the store sometimes. Also, my experience with other customers who shop here has been ridiculous. Yesterday, some pompous weasel backed out without looking and nearly hit me. Security was parked within view, not sure what the Man inside was actually "securing". Anyways...the neighborhood just seems to be full of other pompous weasles who c9me here to shop..go figure, it's wegmans on East Ave.

Love all Wegmans but this is great on GameDay. They have extra staff to handle the Bill's Mafia

Can't think of any other way to spend a Saturday afternoon in Rochester. It truly is a bountiful jewel of the north. I'm starting to weigh the pros and cons of driving all the way from Pittsburgh in order to have the PRIVILEGE of shopping at this prime example of a grocery store.

Others might not that its smaller than the other stores in the area but for me that is the appeal. Its a "get your basic necessities plus find a few new treats along the way" type of store. Staff here is generally friendly, I've never seen them be rude (that's a different story for a different location). One star off is for that parking lot and how backed up it gets very quickly during all hours of the day that it becomes such a pain to exit. Because this is an inner city location though, this place is always very crowded.

Everything is great except the parking. Don't go during rush hour.

This Wegmans is just the right size. I was going to deduct a star for the parking lot because my neighbor was hit by a car there once. They have since added a walkway down the middle.

It was a nice place to stop for a coffee and cookie.
