Definitely was a Nightmare to work here Cleaner/Janitor

Cleaner/Janitor

An extremely terrible place to work. I was the most recent victim.

The worst part of the job is having to tolerate mistreatment of part the Manager, also a climate of preference existing with some employees generating differences and demotivation.

There are no rules and procedures that allow work to be done in an orderly and productive manner. There is only arbitrariness and improvisation.

Someone within the institution, such as the Human Resources Manager, should gather the staff and ask what the treatment received by the Manager in order to know and realize the reality that they have every day and do not report for fear of losing their jobs.

Poor teaching skills and poor parking condition. They just want you to spend your money but do not use the money for your kids. The school is good at doing business to make money from parents but not at teaching students. You can check the list of their yearly graduated students who were enrolled in university. Most of them entered universities within Alberta and more than half are University of Calgary. There is no difference between Weber and normal public schools.Sometimes even worse than public schools. If your kid can enter Toronto University from public school, why do you have to spend more money to send your kid to Weber?

If I could rate the teachers at this school alone, it would be a four or five out of five. The teachers will care for your kid and teach them to their full capacity. The problem of this school is that it isn't a school, it's a business. The administrations main goal is to make money, not help the students, and that is why your child may have more success in another school environment. If you want your school to have a supportive, non competitive environment, this is not the school for you. The student body is supportive of other students at the school, however they do not support the school as a whole.

They equally applied their non-denominational nature and are now being slandered as racists by a bunch of SJWs, but the school's results speak for themselves. If religion is more important to you than success, send your kid to a public school.

When we learned my husband's work would be moving ...

When we learned my husband's work would be moving us to Calgary for 3 years, we searched the area carefully for a school our children could thrive at. The company was willing to pay for private school so we jumped at the opportunity. Our public school experience had begun a fast decline in the states so the change was a welcome one. Webber has been a fantastic school for our children.
It reminded me of how public school used to be for us growing up, with parents welcome to freely visit children in the classrooms, pulling them out (for appointments and such) without a fight, and being thanked graciously for any and all volunteer work. The public schools as of late had been failing us in that regard and treating our children as a mere number, and us as parents as an intrusion upon their time and "schedule."
Always a kind word for our children and for us, their parents. We always felt welcome and included.
Despite being the "new" kids, our children made friends and found a wonderful home at Webber. A huge added bonus was having ALL four children at the same school facility, which made coordinating schedules and driving SO much easier. Especially in the winter months.
We had children in Elementary, Junior High and Senior High, so we saw each level of the school first hand through our children and through our volunteer time there. I am very pleased with what we experienced. I felt more welcome at Webber than at any previous public school my children attended.
My children worked hard--just as we would expect them to at any school, but the standard of expectation with a private school pushed our children to reach even further. We saw a vast number of students approach the work with differing levels of excitement--just as you will find at any school. But the standards of expectation didn't change, and so the quality of teaching stayed the same. If our child was struggling with an area of study, the teacher worked with them one on one to assist them. We struggled to get that in a public school setting.
We're grateful for the cultural diversity at the school that enabled our children to continue their learning and appreciation for the world at large.
So grateful for the opportunity our children had to attend Webber Academy and the confidence it has helped instill in our children via the hard work and caring of the teachers, and staff.

Webber Academy has been the best school for my three daughters. We moved to Calgary over three years ago and our daughters have attended the school ever since. The school was just what we were looking for with regards to academics. After moving from Europe, we loved that the school provided specialty teachers for many of the subjects like music, PE, Spanish and Mandarin, because we didn't have that option before. They have all enjoyed participating in extra-curricular activities that happen during lunch recess or after school. My girls are so happy with the school and they wouldn't change a thing. I have been pleased with all the teachers and they all have been easy to contact and keep in communication if there are any questions or concerns. I find the teachers always answer emails quickly and I have never had problems scheduling a meeting with them. The administration and staff are always friendly and helpful when I've had questions. I love that many of the staff and the administration know the many of the students names from the Kindercentre all the way up to Grade 12. My daughters are in elementary school now, but I'm happy they will be at Webber Academy through Grade 12. I find the older students, as well as the younger students, are polite and they have great pride and satisfaction in their work and school. We are so pleased that our daughters attend Webber Academy and we can't think of a better school!

the money grabbing admin abuse their power to do what they want with people and get what they want from them, they are also impervious and ignorant to anything against their lies or beliefs. The stress levels are extremely high and continue to rise even after the terror of exams, there is no relaxing or unwinding here. The teachers and the curriculum are high quality but that is ruined by the admin who don't care about anything but their money and reputation. you will be forced to be bland and your public and social life will be ruined. you will not recover. you feel like a product who's bar-code that is scanned regularly to keep you to the "Webber standard" so you wont have a unique disposition. the uniform is uncomfortable, ugly, and useless, it is forced onto you to keep you like a clone and as another money grabbing technique. Furthermore, because of an overwhelming amount of victims there is a wait-list, and yet they still advertise for more which shows their heart for money, also they lack funding for things students need like AC. Finally, the power and money hungry company (not school) will keep you in this mindset and in an immeasurable amount of stress and will send you to hell if you try to have fun, relax or unwind.

My parents have been sending me here since kindergarten and the schools AMAZING! All the teachers in grade 6 has been really nice, and for times like this, it makes it easier for me to do my homework at home all thanks to the supportive teachers who are always active and answering every question we have.
KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK! :D

Our oldest just started grade 7 after transferring from public school and she couldn't be happier. The focus on actual academics is a welcome change from the often sloppy curriculum offered in the public system.

i've attended this school for a long time now. From the outside and from a parents perspective, this school seems to cater to intelligent and hardworking students in a supportive manner. However, after spending majority of your childhood and teenage years at this school, you realize that it is a business. This business treats students poorly. Some teachers are kind and supportive while others will prioritize the "scandalous" length of your skirt or the lack of a button on your sweater over mental health. Although some may argue that the stress and pressure put on the students is favoured and is suitable to some, none of my peers enjoy it. Peers are highly competitive and two-faced. They put on a facade that they're smart, kind, and honourable students but behind the scenes they are snobbish, rude, socially awkward teens who view themselves as superior. There are some gems however (students that are genuine and kind) , however these "gems" are depressed and often crack under the pressure. I do not recommend sending your child to this school unless the facility and personality of the students change drastically.

I feel truly honoured to have my son enrolled for his third year at this wonderful school. One only needs to look at the other reviews on Google, almost all of which are overwhelmingly positive, as well as the responses from school administration, to see it is a caring and positive environment. Will it be a good match for everyone? No, but that is made clear when interviewing for the school. They expect kids to be above average, hard working, and well behaved, as well as up to the challenging environment. If your child does not meet that criteria, then it might not be for you. Our experience has been fantastic; the students are very caring and polite, and the teachers are genuinely concerned about helping your child to succeed. Our family attended another private school in the city, and Webber is superior in many aspects. From the cafeteria to the admissions department, from the weekly newsletter to the annual Welcome Back BBQ, Webber just knows how to do it right. They are the number one school in the province for a reason, and it shows. It means a great deal to attend such a well run school that manages within its means, not soliciting for constant donations or charging exorbitant fees. Dr. Webber has been described as a visionary by many parents, and that is easy to see when you view Webber s cloning lab or look at their language program, which includes Mandarin as of grade 4. He also is very personable and enjoys chatting with families and hearing about their experiences. Webber is preparing students for university and beyond, critical in a world where the future will be vastly different from that of their parents generation. Our family can t recommend Webber enough!

This school has very rigid hostile environment.. If you want your child to become anxious, socially crippled with low self esteem then go for this school.
This school is a family business and money is all they care about!
Your child is just a number! Their teachers are stressed out and overwhelmed as they have to teach 23 kids in every classroom!!! You would expect a low teacher student ratio when you pay around 20000$ annual tuition fee!!!
The best thing you could do for your children is to keep them away from this school. Honest advice from a mother who made the worst decision in her life when she enrolled her child in this school.

We have a great education experience at Webber Academy after my kid enrolled into this caring and diverse environment. Besides top-notch facilities, they have very high moral standard and achievement standard in all aspects of school life. Extra power-hour is available for student needs help. Year-round sports activities, concert bands and clubs ensure each student can find something enjoyable and be proud of. Great communication between teachers and parents, even on weekends and holidays. Dedicated teachers always encourage students to try their best and always offer extra help if needed. The students at Webber Academy are intelligent and respectful. Dr. Webber is a visionary leader with great heart. We always see him at school and ready to have a casual chat with everyone. My kid always brings home laughter and happiness from school. The numerous awards showcase the dedication of the school to put it's best to help students reach their potentials locally, nationally and internationally. If you are a student with good work ethic and open-minded, you will have fun at Webber.

Impressed with Mr. Paul, he is excellent, always answer your questions, being so helpful. Unfortunately my daughter Sophie can't attend the coming school year because my family saturation, but i still think Webber is a good place for students who want be the best person.

Webber Academy seems to have a hierarchy that is relatable to the Middle Ages. Ironically, students in grade 8 learn this in social.

Middle Ages: Webber Academy:

King/Queen Neil Webber/Barb Webber
^^ ^^
Nobleman Mrs. Clouston/Mrs. Lever
^^ ^^
Lords Teachers/Counsellors
^^ ^^
Freemen(peasants) Webber Parents
^^ ^^
Serfs(Peasants) Students

Besides the model, however, the school's facilities and teaching is world class and the students and faculty are very friendly. If your child is very intelligent, I would recommend you send your child here.

It's a family-run school that seems to lack both normal corporate governance and professional education administration. The Webber family is well-meaning, but apart from Neil Webber, who is a superstar, the rest of the family members do not have the expertise nor background to build a school with a solid and enduring foundation.

Very well educated school

However, I will lower my rating based solely on how some of the other negative replies were responded to. As of personal perspective, they seem rather offended and immature, and although I understand the students and staff have a very high sense of pride of their school, I feel that whoever manages the Webber Academy account should handle such 'hate comments' should do so with a more understanding and professional outlook. Please, do not take any personal offense, as this is a mere suggestion.

Have a swell day!

I have three kids, and between them we have experience in the Public and Catholic system and a private in south Calgary. Our experience at Webber far surpasses the rest. The teachers are amazing and the kids are so kind and polite. Expectations are high but the kids rise up to it. My youngest just started his fourth year at the school and every day we feel blessed to be there. It s no wonder they are consistently ranked among the top in the province.

Always telling bad reviews are made by fake people but the only people who is lying is you guys.
You did cyber bully to my son and never make any apology to him but just deleted your lies.
That is not enough ,old Webber , you still need to make the apology to the people you abused.
I have written emails to you but you just hide in your whole.
I hope you enjoy your life of cheating and hiding.

We have been sending our kids to Webber Academy fo...

We have been sending our kids to Webber Academy for many years and have had a very positive experience throughout. The teachers are fantastic, the facility is second to none, and the students are great kids for the most part.

There is definitely a strategy of setting a high academic bar for the students and the school atmosphere is competitive which can lead to some stress depending on your child. However, it is amazing what kids can achieve when high expectations are set. The struggle to achieve something worthwhile can be difficult for students, but overcoming adversity is perhaps one of the most important life skills.

As parents our influence on our children diminishes as they grow older, which is why it is so important for kids to have a great peer group. The students at Webber Academy truly encourage each other and have had a positive impact on our children. I have witnessed many examples of this over the years.

I have read some negative posts complaining about racist administration policies. This couldn't be further from the truth and it really boils my blood to read some of these comments. My family comes from a diverse background of different cultures and religion, and our kids are fully accepted into the school environment. Just visit the school for yourself and witness the diversity of the student population and how they blend together and support each other.

The staff constantly preaches the importance of diversity and acceptance of other cultures. I can tell you that this was not the case at all when I was a child attending public schools in Calgary. Webber is leaps and bounds ahead on this front and I suspect they are better than most current schools on this as well.

My only complaint is that ALL public schools should be as good as Webber. We pay a tremendous amount of tax dollars towards public education and the result is far from great. Our research into public schools led us to conclude that many private schools were far superior on many fronts. This shouldn't be the case - the public school system is ripe for disruption.

Being the grandchild of the famous bill nye, I should know a good school when I see one. Webber Academy is a great school with an outstanding cast of characters. From Teachers to staff, all are great. The course material is spot on too, challenging at times, but manacable. oberall grape school. speaking of froots, the blewberrys are sogggy. Five species of blueberries grow wild in Canada, including Vaccinium myrtilloides, Vaccinium angustifolium, and Vaccinium corymbosum which grow on forest floors or near swamps. Wild (lowbush) blueberries are not planted by farmers, but rather are managed on berry fields called "barrens. Since the blueberris were soggy I had to deduct a single star, but really good school, seriusouly!
