We Escape Review

Had a great experience! Curtis and Charolette were great game coordinators! Curtis was super cute and always attentive. Puzzles were interesting and kept us entertained. I will definitely be back!

Our escape team couldn't have asked for a better experience than the one we got here at The Escape Company. Having done over 30 escape rooms in the Orlando area, it was incredibly refreshing to have a staff care about the overall adventure and be genuinely excited to talk-shop and ensure we got the best experience possible. Because we have done so many escape rooms, our game-host challenged us by making the puzzles in the room even harder - which we appreciated! The rooms are incredibly elaborate and the story lines themselves were creative beyond belief. Our team of four has now completed all five of the current rooms on-site and are filled with sadness because we won't be able to visit our favorite escape company here in Orlando anymore. It just goes to show the level of professionalism and attention to the craft the staff and owners have put into every corner of this establishment. Huge thank you to Curtis, A.B. & Derek for all their hard work and positivity. We recommend the Escape Company to anyone who asks for our favorite escape games!

Awesome awesome place!!! Had family down from connecticut and they accommodated us with ease at 9:30 on a monday night. They match any groupon price which is just wonderful. Staff is incredibly personable and very very nice. You can order drinks while you're in the rooms. Rooms are challenging but lots of fun. Will be back for the 3rd time when my family comes back in May.

It's pretty good for the money. It was one of the cheapest rooms I've ever done but definitely the worst. Still had fun though!!

Had a great time w/ this experience. We joined a team of six to tackle the outlawed room. We had a great time and we got out of the room w/ 10 minutes to spare.

I would definitely recommend going to Groupon to get the deal. Well worth it!

It was definitely like the other Escape room I have been to you could definitely tell that they don't have the funds like other rooms. The story we did was good but if you have done games before you may get bored really fast.

We drove about 45 minutes just to check out this escape room and it did not disappoint! The staff is extremely personable and are constantly doing everything they can to make this as enjoyable as possible. Will definitely be coming back soon!

Had a blast!!! Actually did 2 rooms back to back. The staff is amazing and this will keep your mind working. The rooms are amazing and love how they just keep going and going. I am a new fan of these escape rooms.

What a great time! Silent Tide was a fun game and the staff and facility was great. Definitely worth a trip for locals or tourist.

Overall we had a fun experience. My first time doing an escape room...so the room was really tough! We did not finish it. Got a call from the owner and she confirmed that the rooms are sanitized 3 times for our protection. Thanks for you're attention to detail and follow-up!

Me and my 3 friends went and played suburban serial killer tonight and had the best time ever. Tom was our host and was super nice and helpful. I love the room it was really creative and innovative and really gave you a challenge. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a great escape room for a good price and definitely ask for Tom if you get the chance

Liars. That is what they are. We purchased a Groupon that stated "not valid for last showing of each game". So I tried reserving a game for 7:15pm on a Sunday while the last showing was at 8:35pm. I kept getting an error that I couldn't do that. I proceeded to call the escape company and ask the person that answered the phone for assistance. They proceeded to tell me that with Groupon it says that you have to use it before 6;00pm. Wrong. It says it cannot be used for the last showing of the day. She told me that was not correct even though I was looking directly at my Groupon. This is no way to treat customers. Seriously? During a time when business is slower you want to run off customers that were wanting to visit your business. You are currently being reported to Groupon for your lies and false statement on your Groupon. Heck, might even go ahead and report you to the BBB too.

This place was actually amazing! One of the best rooms I've done. Cant wait to do the others. Derek was a great guide and his customer service was impeccable.

Curtis is the best! This is one of the better escape rooms I've been to. Well managed and maintained.

Great themes for the escape rooms. Unfortunately the rooms are too small. Doors and a few locks need to be replaced so that they open smoothly.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Suburban Serial Killer room and felt it was very professionally done.

On the evening of Saturday, October 12th, I along with three other friends attended your escape room and had a very dissatisfying experience. Please keep in mind I have done over 50 escape rooms nation wide.

We did the room Pandorum with game guide Brandon and he was extremely unpleasant, lazy and unmotivated to do his job. From the very beginning he did not play the game rules video even though this was our first time with this company and explained we would not be getting our clues in writing. Every time we asked for a clue during the game he would take minutes to even respond to us. Because of the poor quality technology at this location the microphone continually cut in and out and we couldn t understand him mumbling into the microphone. This was extremely frustrating and wasted much of our valuable time.

We believed we had solved one of the game puzzles and he bursted into the room on the microphone, rattling the poor quality speaker system and yelled for the first time clearly IF YOU CONTINUE TO GUESS YOU WILL EXPERIENCE A TIME PENALTY .... as if his lazy and slow responses weren t a time penalty enough.

This hour was a waste of our money and time. Beyond the poor guest experience, some of the puzzles were poorly designed and not entirely thought out. Most of them could be solved without entering a code or other skills many other companies use. No wonder this is called the hardest escape room in Orlando because most of the stuff doesn t work.

If you are in the Orlando area, I strongly urge you to choose elsewhere for your escape room pleasure. I suggest Escape Game Orlando or Lockbusters Orlando both on I-drive. They offer great rates and friendly service, unlike the Escape Company.

We did Pandorum and Silent Tide here. We enjoyed both however the experience was lacking as the guides were not not at all personable and seemed to not want to be there. Silent tide was fun and the clues were good, Pandorum was exceptionally hard and some of the clues seemed needlessly hidden. Would choose another place if we are in Orlando again.

Our group of 8 did the pirate room and had a great time. Not our first escape room, but out first one here, and I'd say they did a great job. The puzzles were fun and well thought out, with the staff constantly watching over you (via cameras) and ready to offer a hint if needed. As a word of advice though, an escape room can be a slightly stressful place for some people / families, as the time starts running out. Booking out the entire room so you're not feeling exposed in front of strangers might make your experience more comfortable. We had the room to ourselves but I can imagine that it changes the dynamic if there's other people locked in there with you, getting frustrated or pushy.

We had s great time! The serial killer room was awesome.

We had such a fun time. Room was very well put together and awesome puzzles. Tom helped me with a reservation mistake I had made, and helped so much! We will definitely be back to this location to try more rooms!

I have gone here a few times. I m not sure why I kept going back. The first time the game master was terrible. Then the ownership switched, so we went back to give it another shot. The second time was a slightly better experience. I spoke with the owner, Mona, personally and she told me to not use Groupon the next time but to call and say Mona said we could get a discount the next time we came back. We finally went when they opened up, and once we were there in person she just gave us $2 off per person. I wasn t advised of this measly discount until I was there paying since when I called she said to just come in and we ll get the discount. I paid over $90!! For three people! Normally the Groupon is MUCH cheaper than that, so I was extremely upset at how expensive it was for the three of us to go. I felt like she wasn t true to her word at all. And the room, Pandorum, was one of my least favorite we ve ever done ( I ve done over 30 escape rooms). I will never return again and wouldn t recommend you to either. There are MUCH better rooms/escape room companies that cost much less in the area! I ve spoken with many owners and they ve all honored a second play discount, usually 20% off. $2 off per person ($32 normally), is nothing.

We went on July 1st and the staff were super friendly and helpful! We have been to plenty of escape rooms before and this one is definitely among the best. Our only issue was that some of the puzzles in the rooms did not flow as well as some of the other places we have been to. We were pleasantly surprised that they offer a selection of beer and wines in their waiting area as well. We will be back!

The staff were all extremely kind and helpful. The room was fun and thought-provoking without being impossibly arcane. Ignited a love of escape rooms in me for sure!

We called ahead to book a room and were told that we could do the one we wanted. We arrived and still were told we d be able to do the one we paid for. However, when they came to get us to start the game we ended up in an entirely different themed room with a group of strangers. It was okay but it wasn t the one we wanted to do. The staff are polite but there definetly is an error with bookings.

We went yesterday (May 11th) and had a BLAST! The owner Mona greeted us and was super friendly and helpful. They took great precautions with covid, requiring all employees and customers to wear masks and social distance. We did the room called CSI: Suburban Serial Killer and the game was phenomenal. Lots of locks and puzzles and the set up of the room was like you were actually inside someone s house! Will definitley return to try the rest of the rooms! Highly recommended!!!

I really enjoyed this place. Great for adults and children. Makes you think and was overall a great experience.

The lady at the front desk was so wonderfully nice. We had walked in without a reservation because we didn t know but she had helped us to pick a room. We had used Groupon and she was nice enough to help us through it. The actual room was very well thought out and ascetically pleasing. When we had left the same lady greeted us and I personally think that she I a ray of sunshine.

Did this yesterday as one of our daughter's birthday presents. Highly addictive. Fabulous staff and fun working as a team. We will be back to try another puzzle.

This was my first escape room experience. It was pretty fun! We had 8 people that worked well together. I think 4-6 is a good number though. Friendly staff, fun game, bring a mask! It last about an hour so plan for dinner before or after in a nearby restaurant.

The staff was great and it s family owned business. They have another location out of state as well. Ask for the drink package! The rooms are fun but I agree with the rating that s it s a 3 our of 5 keys, some puzzles do not make sense as they do not connect with the overall theme of the room. We did 3 rooms and suburban serial killer was the better one.

Fantastic room! I wish we were in town longer so I could do another but I am at the end of my vacation. The room was well done and has a friendly staff. I've done dozens of rooms and this place is definitely high on my list

We are truly escape room junkies who love every aspect of the experience and the rooms. Our experience at The Escape Company Orlando was good. We came and did the CSI Serial Killer room a little bit ago, at the time this was the 2nd escape room we had ever done. The theme was cool and I enjoyed the thrill factor of thinking a killer was after you. The puzzles were easy to figure out and it was an overall enjoyable experience. We then stayed and played Pandora this rooms is what they market as the scariest room and the hardest. To be honest we didn t find it scary. The unique puzzles were very cool. We would defiantly return if they get any new games.

They were super nice and the room was so much fun! Great atmosphere and friendly staff. I hope I get to come back soon!

Great themes, stories, props and scenery. Some companies are cheesy and homemade but this one is great. The puzzles are challenging but not frustrating. Highly recommend for anyone who likes Escape Rooms.

This review is based on the room Suburban Serial Killer When you walk into the actual lobby of the place it is very nice, there is a bar and it is big and open, that is why it s two stars instead of one star. The room itself was absolutely horrendous. I have done 32 escape rooms and this one is definitely in my worst 3 I have done. The room itself is very torn up, whether it is the carpet, the walls, the boxes and even the locks where you can t even see the line to line up the code. The puzzles made no sense at all. There was one with colors, and with those colors, one did not even matter for a code, that is a major red herring! Another terrible clue was putting four numbers into a telephone, it would make sense to put a four digit code into the MANY four digit locks around the room, but no they decided to put it on a telephone in the room. Another issue in the room was that there was a door with a mag lock above the door that just opened with no trigger to open it... I can understand if it was supposed to just be a door to open with no trigger but I don t think that was the case, because there was a trapdoor that would make literally no sense to go out the back of. After the game was over the person who got us out explained the things that didn t make sense to us and the mag lock that was for a door was just supposed to open, which I can t say for certain if that s true or not, but if it s true take the maglock off to stop confusing people. There were just to many things that made no sense and to many red herrings that it was not an enjoyable hour after this one we left and went to Escapology and had a lot of fun and the clues actually made sense. There were things that made no sense in this room and I would highly discourage anyone especially your first time to steer away from this escape room because this one will give you a bad taste of what an escape room truly is all about. Orlando offers much better experiences that are better put together than The Escape Company. Again this review is based off the Suburban Serial Killer

Kurtis was fantastic!! Wow, I loved our time here. Best in Orlando for sure.

The room was not properly set. A few examples are:

A book missing
A page ripped from the book that was needed
Two tools that had the numbers rubbed off that could not be made out
Numbers written on the mirror that were not supposed to be there according to your front desk associate

We did knights of norwich, outlawed, suburban serial killer, and pandorum. WOW the set design is amazing. Every room looks incredible and they really mean it when they tell you a room is hard. We had John, and Morgan for game masters and they were beyond amazing. Moana and Susan were phenomenal hosts as well. Amazing stuff and amazing rooms, i d give it more stars if i could.

I have done 5 escape rooms and this one was fun. The game master was also very nice and helpful. If I lived closer by would do all the rooms.

I'm rating it at one star because that's the lowest I can go other then that it would be a zero. Nothing worked right. The team member wasnt even interacting with us and when or if we ever asked for clues they werent helpful at all. There was no audio and our timer was never present on the tv screens either. A waste of time and money. DO NOT GO HERE!!!

We are from the UK and we played outlawed. My wife, myself and our 2 kids (9 and 7). A fantastic room. The games master was great. Highly recommend.

I had an awful experience at this place, very rude, disrespectful staff, faulty lockers and pricy comparing to their service! Would not recommend it at all.

Tom the owner went above and beyond to help us when we came to play! There was an error and booking but he wouldn't give up and stayed late after closing just so we could play. Absolutely amazing customer service and such a creative interactive game. We did Legend of the Silent Tide and it was FUN!!!! Would recommend this place above any other escape room in Florida!

We had a great time we actually managed to do to escape rooms. Curtis and Charlotte were very helpful and explained the games very well and were very clear when giving clues.we played Outlaws and Pandorum and we escaped. My favorite thing about the rooms is how they immerse you in the the theme of the room and you actually feel part of the room. Outlaws did feel like escaping a jail cell in the old West and pandorum felt just like if we were fighting for our live trying to escape a ship !!!!! Over all we had a great time definitely coming back and doing the other rooms !!!! Thank you Curtis and Charlotte you guys are the best!!!

Fun experience overall. It s got a bar in the front and kind of a living room area which is nice and casual. The game we played was moderately challenging and we were all stoked to have escaped. There was an issue with one of our lock boxes so we were able to just fish the clue out which was hilarious. I wish we could ve taken pictures as a memento.
