WCGS enabled me to study the subject of my choice at the university of my choice, complete post-graduate study and have a rewarding working life. No one can ask for more than that of a school. Thank you

It's a great school. I hear some people complaining its run down, yet I doubt they've been there, as the school just got a new DT block. Despite some of these reviews claims, the teachers there are great and really help you. I wish Wilsons students wouldn't leave bad reviews, despite never going to the school.

Recently an incident happend were someone's papers flew out of the window into a gutter. One of the boys got one of the notes back by tying his tie onto his shoe and lassoing it. The teacher at the time dealt with it terribly in my opinion, after the lesson another boy got the other notes back and there was a massive huddle around the boy who had the notes. The boy whose notes it was got pushed from behind and then tried to get the notes back he succeeded but then the notes got snatched back by the person who got it back from the gutter. Then the person whose notes it was got pushed again meaning he hit the person who got the notes back and since he had a wooden ruler at the time his foot hit it and it snapped.
The person whose notes it was was on the floor near a fire extingusher when the ruler actually snapped. As the ruler snapped everyone ran away including the person whose notes it was. The person who got the notes back gave the broken ruler to the teacher, and made a blantant lie saying how the person whose notes it was broke it "ON PURPOSE!" ans some other stuff too. The person whose notes it was got called to the teacher who sat both down and let the person who got the notes back scot free even though the teacher said to the person who got the notes back "It sounds like you are trying to get him in trouble and goad him" yet she still believes the person who got the notes back and never properly let the person whose notes it was to speak. The teacher gave the person whose notes it was an hour detention. The person whose notes it was got really annoyed (I mean who wouldn't be in that situation) and the teacher started shouting at him and threatening him with another detention so he had to go along with what she was saying and obviously that was how he got the hour detention.

Otherer than that I have to say Mr Flook, Mr Garrod, Mrs Khan, and Mr Avis and Ms Siva are the best teachers to ever have lived they are absolute legends

This is a very good grammar school for boys. Girls may be admitted in the 6th form (year 12 & 13 ). You have a higher chance of admission if you live 2miles from the school. Sixth Form admissions criteria is much higher than other schools. Teachers are very friendly and helpful.

There appear to be lots of frustrated Wilsons' pupils writing disparaging remarks. I have nothing but praise for the school and developed my love of the English language under the tutelage of Bob Scales, a man without equal in terms of his ability to garner attention. I have fond memories of the years I spent at WHSB/WCGS.

Great school!!

I would say wilsons is better but that would be biased as I go to wilsons.
The only rubbish school here is SUTTON GRAMMAR

My son has been at Wallington since year seven and has just moved into the sixth form. I do not understand the negative reviews I read and can only assume that they are not genuine. My son has been extremely happy at this school, coming out with a big bunch of A star grades, but more importantly as a kind, thoughtful and well mannered person, who is confident and secure in himself. WCGS is a special school, which gets the balance just right. I cannot recommend it enough.

I don't care about all the Wilsons boys reviewing it badly, only that they shouldn't bring down rival schools by comments, and they should be ashamed of themselves giving false information! WCGS is a great school. There is such a friendly atmosphere that it feels like one large family of teachers, students and parents. The teachers are superb - kind and supportive, and progress is very fast. As for the pupils, most (nearly all, but not all I have to admit) are ready to help their friends and peers "through difficulties to the heights" together.

All I have left to say is Per Ardua Ad Summa

The teachers are rude, the lessons are alright, they give you detentions for dropping a pen (actually happened with me) and with major incidents (such as vandalism with my things or money being stolen) they did absolutely nothing. They don't care about you and certain teachers are actually terrible and do not know how to teach.
As well as this I feel that some teachers are uncompassionate.

Unfortunately for us WCGS does nothing to tackle bullying in the school. So consider your options carefully. If I knew this before my son would be in Private school, where he got a good scholarship. My mistake, don't repeat it.

It's a run down school, with rowdy pupils that disturb others, resulting in very little academic progress.

Then again it is a grammar school and one of my good friends does attend. It does have intelligent pupils but I stand by my previous statement- the few rowdy pupils make it so little work can be accomplished.
