Majority of the staff is friendly. it's handicap accessible. security is pretty good. not really like the smells (like feces )that comes from there, but I guess you'll have some kind of smell with all people that they take care of their, a lot of them with incontinence. Also there is in fact stuff that takes place there personally know a patient that has had Monies and checks stolen I'm a you different occasions
My grandmother was here for a couple years until her peaceful passing.
The staff always treated her very well and communicated quite often with our family either through group meetings, or phone calls.
The facility offered a very homelike environment for her which I know she appreciated greatly.
My mom went in there 3 years ago walking and doing for her self. Now can't walk,can't use her hands. Then the best part, I go to get her personal belongings and the 2 year old 32" flat screen was not there, nor was her teeth, and eyeglasses, and they sent rented equipment in her personal belongings I had a 3 yr warranty on tv and they done threw it in the trash. THEY TOOK MY MOM FROM ME! AND STOLE HER TV,TEETH,AND GLASSES.
Nice and clean. I was impressed with the friendly staff. Exceptional. Residents are happy. They have a little coffee area for the Residents and their guests. The DON is down to earth and friendly and caring. I was just so impressed with everything and everyone.
I would definitely suggest this facility if you are searching for an exceptional home to place your loved one.
ManorCare is a great support of our community, the Barberton Salvation Army, Chamber of Commerence Lake Anna YMCA and many other organizations.
My grandmother received excellent care at this facility, and my family and I have all done outpatient therapy here. The staff are very kind and welcoming, and I was pleasantly surprised how knowledgeable the therapists are & the variety of therapy equipment they had to offer. I would recommend this facility to anyone.
I was greeted by the administrator upon admission who showed me to my room and helped me feel welcomed. The facility is very nice and clean, which surprised me because you always hear of nursing homes being dirty and smelly which wasnt the case here! The food is really good and they were very accomodating if i wanted a salad or hamburger instead. The nurses were always timely dispensing my medicines and all of the staff were pleasant and loving. The admissons director met me at the hospital before i admitted and explained to me what to expect which helped me feel more prepared. Ive had therapy a couple times before and i felt like their therapists really cared about me and personalized my therapy sessions to my needs
My grandma came here for physical therapy then two weeks later she gaind 15 lbs and still couldn't walk.
Then we took her to pebble creek nursing home and two weeks later she could walk a WHOLE lot better.
I absolutely LOVE this facility!!! My mother in law is currently there and they are taking such good care of her!! She was at another facility in Akron and with the poor and inadequate care she was receiving there we would have had to bury her if we had not pulled her out of there. The staff at Manor Care in Barberton is so caring with the residents and really care about their jobs. The nurses are great and give us an update whether we ask or not, which I love. The aides are incredible!!! They are so gentle and patient with my mother in law who can sometimes be very stubborn. The therapists are above reproach and show how much they care and that they love their jobs. I would and will recommend this facility to anyone!!!!!

This place is totally out of control!!! This facility accepted a patient they knew they didn't have the capabilities to house him. Not only that as soon as you pull into the driveway you smell old piss!!!! How is the piss smell stronger than the outside elements!?!? They have a bug problem as well. My uncle had ants all in his room. Such a shame.
I want to let people know that the entire staff from the Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapists to the nurses and aides have gone Above and Beyond in helping my mother Evelyn. This goes well beyond just being nice to us, they are very courteous and keep us informed. Even the housekeeping staff go out of their way to assist us. To everyone at ManorCare Barberton I just want to tell you "Thank you very much!" - Roger
ManorCare Barberton provides excellent care! Their building is always so clean, and the staff there are so friendly. When i go in to visit, I am always welcomed by the receptionist with a smile and eagerness to help. Thank you ManorCare for being so awesome!
If you care about your loved one this is not the place for them. Very unprofessional staff. Poor quality care, educate yourself on what insurances cover because you will be given misleading and false information for the purpose of the monetary gain of keeping the patient there.
The staff is great, they treatment great. The therapy department is great. I was happy I chose this place. I would highly recommend the facility. Amazing place
