I used the walk-in clinic on Saturday and got great quick service. Highly professional and caring from the receptionist to the technician to the doctor. I got all my questions answered in a patient and comprehensive way. We discussed treatment options and follow up. I highly recommend them.

The recent remodeling project has made nice improvements. The new Receptionist counter is much more inviting and practical. All of the staff members with whom I have had conversations are nice and professional. Comfortable waiting area. My doctors and nurses are friendly and well educated. They're confident, as am I, in their abilities to perform the necessary treatments/surgeries.
Dr Joseph Hurst is an excellent surgeon, easy to talk with and has a great sense of humor. I would recommend him to anyone having orthopaedic hip issues.

My son has got hurt at school and hospital recommend him to go to watauga orthopedics walk in clinic. They took him right in and saw him. Dr. Evan's was a very nice man and he examined my son's knee and told him what was wrong. My son don't like doctors but he really liked him. The nurse was very sweet and kind. Love this place.
I had rotator cuff surgery in May. Dr. Wells is amazing. I am now doing my therapy at the Kingsport office. I love that bunch! Vanessa is my therapist. There is also two wonderful guys. David and Arron. They have a great atmosphere. It makes you want to go to therapy. They work great together and make it fun!!!

Dr Stewart and his P.A. are excellent. I have received from total knee replacement thanks to the wonderful care.
When my 97 year old mother fell and broke her hip, there was nothing they could do due to her condition, but the P.A. came by and explained everything to us and prayed with us. We all are so thankful to have a thoughtful medical team to care for us.
Check-in was fast and prompt as well as seeing the doctor. Everyone was very nice and interested in listening to and addressing my health issues. I will go back as needed.
I was amazed at how quickly and thoroughly I was treated despite a crowded waiting room. Dr. Stewart and the staff were fantastic to work with and I feel I received exceptional treatment.

I contacted Watauga Orthopaedics to have my foot looked at, after dropping something heavy on it 6 weeks ago. The staff were very polite and I was able to get an appointment within 2 days of calling. My appointment was at 8:30 and by 9:10 I was done and on my way! I hardly had to wait at all. Dr. Fowler was very nice and thankfully my foot was not broken. He answered my questions and seemed very knowledgeable. All of their staff was friendly and I appreciated how quickly I was able to get in and out.
The physical therapy, specifically Will Rochelle is the most unprofessional and uncaring PT that I have ever met. This guy touched my post surgery stitches without gloves and didn't even bother putting on new dressing afterwards, in fact I had to wrap up my leg myself and received no information on exercises to do at home. During the appointment he would give me an exercise and walk away for about 20 mins, while a high school intern was left to watch me perform them. He also made a point to laugh at how small my quad has gotten post surgery, so unprofessional. I will never work with Will again.
Doctors at Watauga are a whole different story, they are very professional, extremely knowledgeable, and helpful with diagnosis and surgeries. I would come back here for the doctors visit again.

If this were a free clinic I would not complain, but I had to pay my hard earned money to get X-rays and then see an assistant - not a physician - who basically told me that I needed to go home in more pain than when I entered the clinic because of what he "thought" and his fear of doing anything that might help me. Run a free clinic if you don't have actual doctors to attend patients.

I finally had it with the pain in my shoulders. I went to Watauga orthopedics walk in clinic and was astonished at the speed and professionalism I experienced. After some brief paperwork I was brought into the back for a comprehensive exam and x-rays. I found out that I had arthritis. Something that I had thought of as the symptoms of the pain. They administered two painless injections in my shoulders and was advised that I may be able to avoid further pain with the injections. I'm following up with their surgeon to further evaluate my condition in 6 weeks. If all goes well I may choose to manage my pain through injections of a anti-inflammatory and range of motion exercises. If not then I will have the surgeon and I discuss my options. I usually am not this satisfied with any service but in this case my experience was fantastic!
HVMC insisted my wrist not broken...but I knew it was. Went to Watauga and they viewed the SAME xrays and put a cast on my wrist and saved me from further damage.
This was my first visit the Dr. and staff were all very kind and friendly
I had tendinitis and then they sent me PT only had 4 weeks of PT .couldnt tell if it did good..went back for a MRI they found a labral tear .so therapy did more harm then good told the doc and he said back off ..i was in pain even after therapy..so it was a waste of.money and time..i wont be going back
I love this medical facility and staff. Dr. Stewart is great. The comfort level of the patient seems to be top priority here. All members of the staff are on top of information and quick to guide patients through very difficult decisions.
They provide an atmosphere both in the office and in surgery that puts the patient first. I have trusted them for over a year with my life and they have proven to be the best. I will never go anywhere else. I have recommended them to friends and family. No one has been disappointed.

I am completing my physical therapy sessions following complete knee replacement surgery done by Dr. Mark Aiken at Watauga Orthopedics. I selected Watauga Orthopedics Physical Therapy in order to have continuity in my recovery process. The physical therapy team has been very professional and sensitive to my personal needs. They continually asked if a particular exercise was painful as we worked on my recovery. I strongly recommend this team for physical therapy needs, especially for joint replacement.
There are a number of things that impress me about this practice. First, I believe Dr. Duncan is exceptional. He is knowledgeable, thorough, and explains procedures very well. He converses with me as though I am a valuable and intelligent person . Dr. Byrd is doing a residency with him and seems to be following Dr. Duncan's lead in how to talk to patients. I enjoyed talking with both of them very much. Second, this practice is conscientious about scheduling. I am consistently seen within ten minutes of arrival. I appreciate the fact that ample people are hired to accommodate patients. Third, this practice has just updated it's facility, making the waiting area more attractive and comfortable. The facilities are immaculate and visually appealing. Fourth, I have only had to use the quick care services once or twice, but it's wonderful to know it's there!

I love my doctor at this office he is pretty nice. The thing I think I like the most about him is he actually listens to your response when he asks you a question. Then his nurse is really nice as well. If you ask him a question he gives you the best answer he can. If you want more info he will find what you are looking for if at all possible. Perfectly polite. Decent facilty. Just no results. Thought it was me or my condition, as if I just couldn't be helped. Two years later having same issues and seeing a new phys therapist. It was a completely different experience! Spend your money elsewhere. They're more concerned with niceties than diagnosis.
I have seen Dr. McQuain through the years and he has always been nothing but nice and kind to me. Very good patient contact. Not afraid to tell you exactly what's wrong. I like that. Very friendly.

I saw Dr MacDonald after a very brief wait. He took the time to review my MRI results I brought and to read the notes my PT had sent. He's extremely personable. He adquately explained my condition and what to expect. Although I only have a one percent chance of fixing my problem with steroids and PT he was encouraging.

Had surgery on 8.13.18 on my lower back and spine at my L4 & L5. I had been in a lot of pain and made walking, sitting and sleeping very uncomfortable and miserable. I am not a fan of seeing a Dr or going to seek help but the staff and professionals at Watauga Orthopaedics have forever changed my feelings about that. They have been like family and very caring for my needs and watching them with other patients at their clinic shows that they care about their patients. My Dr and Surgeon; Dr McQuain and Dr MacDonald have been outstanding!! I cant speak more highly about them and their professional and caring staff. They have been straight forward and very caring about my needs and quick to provide feedback and answers to our questions.
Surgery went great and immediately after waking up afterwards I felt no pain throughout my leg and back and I was able to get up and walk without the assistance of a cane or crutches. The staff at the hospital and MacDonalds team checked in on my and made sure I was comfortable and feeling well. If I ever need to see a Dr or have Surgery again for anything, I will be consulting and seeking care from these two Dr's hoping that they can take care of what I'm needing at that time. Otherwise I will be very comfortable and without hesitation take their recommendations for a physition they feel would be great for the needs I maybe facing at that time.
