I really liked staying here. Good staff, nice room, balcony, good breakfast, good coffee in the room. Quiet fridge. Blackout curtains. A tiny bit noisy from the road, but not a problem. Good location for the main sights, too.

Parking garage is convenient and reasonably priced but it is VERY tight. Hotel bar and restaurant is good and inexpensive. Decent views, good amenities and spacious room for two. King bed was comfortable. The bathroom layout is awkward, very small toilet/shower.

The hotel's location is very good and allows you to visit several monuments moving on foot, but is nearest subway station to the hotel. The receptionists are kind. The room is excellent as well as spacious it is comfortable. Rooms have two environments, this is great for longer stays, it makes it look less like a hotel. The wifi is good. Luggage can be left at the hotel for a few hours before or after check out.

We stayed at the Washington Plaza Hotel for 6 days. The hotel is close to a metro station, restaurants and a pharmacy. Like other reviews had mentioned there was some traffic noise, but it's kind of expected due to it's location. Since traffic noise was mostly during rush hour we did not have any problems sleeping (although I will say that rush hour starts early)

The room was a good size and clean but did seem like it had not been renovated in some time. Service was always friendly and polite. Overall a good value for the price.

They took my same day reservation even though they must have been fully booked due to a big convention near by, I later found out. In this case they simply shift people to their less conveniently located State Plaza. Felt a little bit as if they didn't mind the overbooking just to fill their second place.

We had 3 friends stating at the hotel for a friends graduation. We had drinks at the bar while everyone was arriving and having drinks. The staff we amazing, although I wish they would have checked on us a little more. Drinks were well priced. We got free chips. It was a great place to meet. The pool looks wonderful but it was raining so we couldn't go out to it.

It was clean, it's a older hotel which appears to have been remodeled at some point . The breakfast isn't included which for the price per night is a shame. The view from the room was excellent. The door service was great . Overall it's a nice hotel but do your research

Yay

Beautiful rooms and hotel in general. The staff is the best I've ever encountered and very attentive. Every night when I returned I had fresh water and a freshly filled ice bucket without even requesting it. The door people always opened the door and the staff behind the desk always welcomed me back. 10/10 would stay here again.

Good service and decent rooms. Didn't care for the size and bathroom layout too much, and sadly saw a small roach in the bathroom (yes we did report it to staff, it happened towards the very end of the stay so it wouldn't matter much to change rooms and all that) I'd still recommend it for its convenient location and very kind staff.

A beautiful hotel, with the air of the 70s (with mysticism to a Miami hotel) very good service, clean rooms and chords, the area where it is located there are all kinds of restaurants such as coffee shops.

Being a longtime DC resident, I have not had a need to enter this hotel in many years. That recently changed, however, when guests arrived in town. I must admit I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this hotel has progressed over the years.

Great location, clean rooms, reasonable price and of course very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Add to that an awesome pool and great bar (with even greater patrons from all over the world) to help you relax at the end of the day....you can't go wrong choosing to stay here.

The Washington Plaza is a magnificent hotel, and it is a pleasure to stay there. I was provided a flawless service by wonderful, friendly people, especially at the front desk (Lauren, Laura and Nick). It deserves a full five star rating.

Decent hotel, expected nicer rooms and balcony was pretty dirty. Especially for the price. Restaurant was good and service was great. Really liked they don t charge for bottles of water and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Decent location for a walk to the convention center but it s also not close either.

The staff was beyond friendly and attentive, the pool area was beautiful and the food was amazing. I went on this trip for my birthday and I really would advise any age to stay at this hotel. I felt like I was right at home. I plan on going back and I will only stay at this hotel forever now.

The room was perfectly tidy, clean and on time, the parking lot is convenient if you arrive in car and don't want to get lucky to find parking on the city, location perfect close to historical monuments and museums. Service was really kind in the front desk. Good quality price ratio.

Clean, simple rooms. Beds comfy after walking around the DC area all day. Staff friendly. Restaurant good, bar drinks pricey. A little walk to metro. The day of check out, something happened with the pool and we had to evacuate the hotel. Staff was wonderful when dealing with the situation. Only problem: At check-in,no bellhops around and no one helped with my bags (we are a family of four).

Clean rooms and great location in downtown DC. The room rates were also very good. The rooms are a little small but comfortable. No microwaves in the rooms or anywhere in the hotel that can be used by customers.

First thing I noticed was the 25 dollar a night parking charge lol then the dated tiles in lobby. Looks like they where from an old Howard Johnson hotel. Someone tried to modernize this place at one point. They did great in some areas but others are blaahh..now the room...2 adults 2 kids..2 full size beds..you kidding me they crammed 2 full size beds in here. First hotel I've ever been to with full size beds. You can tell this uses to be a room with one king bed and a desk with chair at one point. Rooms are tiny and crammed. Beds were comfy at least. My son's bathing suit and my arm had this white caulk from the pool all over his shirt and swim shorts it was like a white grease Called front desk they know of the problem and said they would have them cleaned for free which was nice but they are aware of the problem and do not address it. Some other parents at the pool encountered same problem and we're pissed. The staff here are welcoming and courteous . Room furniture is nice and in good shape but the rooms have those old metal door jams (look pic)all beat up with 3000 coats of paint on them. Bath tub was glazed over at one point and I know this because it's chipping off and sticking to my bar of soap ( annoying ). Toilet flusher ( look pic) looks like it's from my old high school with that flusher you see in rest stops bathrooms. Whoever they had tile the shower bathtub either had one hand or was drunk horrible job ( look at pic). I'm a contractor for a living so I can spot shotty work. The location of the hotel is great. The pool was nice but not pool bar needs some work actually a lot of work.. Brandon the pool bar bartender was awesome. Lobby bar and restaurant was really nice .Room 929 august 18th 2016. Would I come back ??? Can't answer that right now still up in the air... I can say this though the hotel staff is one of the best ive experienced in my life top notch. Hope my review helps with your choice.

The front desk was very friendly and acomidating. The price is fair for the area (100-200). The only hard part is parking but they have a self park with a somewhat adequate number of spots. The room is clean and looks like it is kept up daily.

Stayed two nights in a queen-size room with basic amenities. The room was very quiet, not much special about it. The Internet was good for work. The gym is small with some treadmills, an elliptical, a stationary bike, and weights from 2.5 lb to 25lb. Most of the cardio equipment was old and had defects, but there was enough equipment to get an ok workout. Breakfast buffet was an additional $17, so we turned it down. TV was small and poor quality. Hotel is about a 10 minute walk from two metro lines but just across the street from a bus stop. Staff was helpful and friendly.
