My husband & I along with our 12 yr old grandson stayed at the Washington Plaza hotel for 6 days/5 nights. We had a great experience. The staff was very friendly, very accommodating & helpful. The hotel is very clean, spacious & close to the Metro & many other sights that we were able to access easily. The pool is big & really nice. We had a delicious dinner in the restaurant; very relaxing. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit DC.

I stayed here for a night, and it was great! Service and front desk was really friendly, and my bed was comfortable. The restroom wasn't super new or updated though. Shower pressure was good but the shower stall was a bit small and not super comfortable. There wasn't a tub and it was just a stall.
A strange aspect of this hotel is that at 9AM, there was a knock on my door for cleaning services. I'm a morning person so I was already awake, but that's way too early. At 11AM, there was another knock on my door for cleaning services. Check out is at noon, so I don't really understand why people are knocking on my door this early!
In any case, other than that, my stay was comfortable.

Rarely will I write a review but this hotel and its staff are remarkably accommodating. This hotel is clean and convenient to everything but the staff is just incredible. I really enjoyed staying there.

Very nice hotel, clean and has it's own restaurant, which was convenient. The restaurant did have a limited menu in the evening, but breakfast buffet was great, though it did cost extra and not included in the price of the room. Also if you are driving the cost of parking was high. They advertise $25 per day for self parking but add $4.50 tax which adds an extra $30 to your room cost. Also don't buy tickets for the On Off tours there, they charge $140 for 2 people for 2 days, and they want $40 in cash. If you buy ticket on shuttle it will only cost you $98.

I was really impressed. They greeted me and welcomed me back when I returned. I received what appeared to be a hand written, personalized letter from them. They brought me complimentary milk and cookies and water. They are conveniently located and in walking distance of metro and bus stations.

Great hotel with walking distance to everything, if I where to complain I must say that there where some noise in the halls and the trip to the airport costed more than we were told originally.

Very nice structure, the rooms are spacious and very clean. They bring ice and a bottle of water each night.
I recommend leaving a $ 1-2 tip for the maids every time we leave the room and come to clean it for better quality of service.

Breakfast includes a separate payment (depending on the type 13 $ or 17 $) but it is very good and plentiful.

Stayed here for a long 3 day weekend to see the sights, and I was not disappointed. Staff was very friendly and helpful, everything was very clean, plus it's very close to all the good restaurants in the metro area as well as a lot of the sights. They provide complimentary wifi that is actually fast! Not the usual painfully slow speeds that most hotels give you unless you pay $10 a day for "premium" internet. Was easy to stream movies at night. Also they provide complimentary shampoo and soaps from Bath and Body Works, not cheap stuff. Only reason they lost a star was because the bed was very uncomfortable. I'm used to a softer bed and it was very stiff. Would be nice to have a bed at least slightly softer. Either way, highly recommend this place, and will be staying here for sure next time I visit.

Parking is bad $48 to LA and a South Park but only has a ceiling of 6 ft. doors don't fit very well allowing all the noise from outside in the hallway and across the hall to come into your room. Very low water pressure in the shower

The hotel lobby was great and updated the rest of the hotel was outdated and needed work. The bed was comfortable a d pillows nice. The room was clean and no issues. The price was right I would stay here again if the price was the same.

Staff was great. Rooms were clean and well kept. The price was amazing for the quality of the hotel. I would definitely stay here again and recommend anyone wanting to stay in Downton DC within walking distance of all the sights, monuments and museums, to stay here.

Really enjoyed my stay. It is really accommodating, quiet, and the staff is pleasant. I never felt the feeling of being rushed by anyone at the help desk. Everyone was helpful in assisting with me. I was even given suggestions on places to eat and things to do in the city

The hotel was nice however someone on my floor was smoking cigarette and the smell came to my room. I stayed for 3 nights and has to smell the cigarettes all night while I'm pregnant until the last night of my stay the hotel manager finally moved me to the different floor in the middle of the night at 12:30am.

If you look at the pictures there's nothing particularly special about this hotel (except the pool is fabulous if you came in summer) For me, this was the most outstanding customer service/guest relations I ever had at a hotel. Everyone seemed to go out of their way to help you. This is the place to go to feel as though you are at home

I Am writing this on my 3rd day being here, still have another two to go. Me and my friend are here from New Zealand, we are in room 620 a twin double bed room, Beds are so comfortable! I want to live in them, everyday room service, room is very spacious, there are 3other rooms, one with a toilet and bathtub/shower, another walk in closet and the other is I guess a changing area with a big mirror and a his and her sink, which is a little bit larger than the bathroom and wardrobe. They have a pool and gym, sadly the pool was out of season even tho it was soo hot at this time, the reason I m dropping a star, but the gym is bigger than most hotels I ve been to and is perfect with all equipment needed at a gym. Also free wifi, but did fall out of connection now and then. (another reason I m dropping a star)
Water is supplied every day, snacks are at the desk. Such nice people at the door as well as at the desk, Security is friendly as well. Desk also will ask all your tourist needs. So very friendly and helpful.

Came here for a work conference and it was a lovely hotel to stay at. The bell hop and front desk were nice and knew all about the area. It was a clean hotel and very accommodating for all of the Parkinson's disease patients...also a nice walk from the memorials and National Mall. I would stay again.

Staff was very nice, the beds were made multiple times a day. They had pretty good food for dinner and breakfast. The only downside I suppose is that the shower area is kind of grungy. I also wish the pool was open past 9. Other than that great hotel, great experience!
