Very comfortable bed and lovely room. Restaurant food was great! Breakfast menu for delivery. Beautiful grounds and pool. If I were going to fault this place, it would be for needing a shelf in the bathroom.

Its an older hotel with a somewhat small lobby area but the spy gala new years event is usually pretty well done. The rooms are OK for what you pay but that's not an issue if you're only attending an event.

Had a lovely experience here for my anniversary! The front desk was very kind, professional, and attentive! The rest of the staff was super awesome as well! Will definitely be coming back here when we make our way to DC again

Made reservations after seeing pics of the pool, hotel and reading the reviews, some seemed pretty truthful so I went ahead and booked the flight and hotel through travelocity. Check in was super great with three people offering to help us, our room was booked through a deal so no upgrades were available even when we offered to pay but that was ok, They called after 15 min to see if everything was ok and they cleaned the room twice a day and the two bottles of water was appreciated. The room was a double bed affair overlooking the roof and exhaust vents while being nice and clean but THIN THIN THIN walls. We could hear our neighbors just talking through the walls so the tv (nice by the way) was on all the the time we were in the room. Pool was clean and open all day (thank god) stay here just for the pool. Staff helpful with directions, hotel was nearby nice restaurants but 5 blocks from metro. HINT the metro was changing from paper to plastic smart cards so they were charging an additional 1 dollar each way for using paper so we bought two ten dollar smart cards and later found out the cards were five dollars each with only five dollars credit when my wife was trapped at the turnstile, funny now but frustrating then and they charge different amounts at different times of the day so it was really hard to figure out the amount to put on the cards so of course we ended up with money left over on each now totally useless to us card at the end of our trip so we left them as a tip. Would stay here again and would heartily recommend it to anybody who wants to stay at a nice clean place

The excellent location, below the dusty beds and it shows that they have never vacuumed, the small but comfortable room, the only bad thing is that there are flies or some bug in the rooms they bit us in a horrible way and not only my family to some friends The same thing happened to them that they stayed in another room. The pool very well except that it was freshly painted or something like that because we all went out with white stripes of paint.

Terrible place. Small rooms and charges way to much for parking without having anything about it on website when I booked. Will not ever come here again. Said 300$ but got charged 420. Thanks.

Got two rooms here for a convention and the rooms seemed nice at first until later that day. Although the contract stated that the room wouldn t be paid for/my card wouldn t be charged until checkout, I was charged full price for one of the rooms as soon as I checked in. The bistro is alright, but the quality of the food doesn t justify the price. Additionally, I was charged an extra $8 for ice cream that came with my dessert (the menu even stated so). The hotel wasn t entirely transparent during check-in. Apparently they round up for their deposit as well, so if you paid 388 for your room and the deposit is $100, they ll round up to $490. This hotel isn t too bad if you just need a place to stay for a layover or something, but if you want quality rest and relaxation, you ll probably want to go somewhere nicer.

My husband and I stayed there for our anniversary. Everyone was very friendly and the environment was great. The pool was a nice touch. Nice neighborhood with lots of hipster type places, and easy quick Uber ride to touristy places. Later at night we ordered the wings, spinach artichoke dip, and mac and cheese for room service. We had excellent service and we really enjoyed the food. Overall, would recommend and would stay here again!

We stayed at this hotel yesterday and I am happy with their service. The staff at entrance who welcome you are very courteous and friendly. They have paid valet parking service.
It s bit expensive because of its prime location. We booked a double bed room for two adults 1 kid and 1 infant. The rooms and beds are not that spacious. I wished they had kept more chairs to sit but there is no space.
I would stay here in next visits if I am able to get better prices.

Older hotel which has been renovated. Service was too notch, but found my room to be a little small for my taste. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the room or the size to be clear, I just prefer a more spacious are to spread out and work. Family enjoyed the pool while I was working and they had zero complaints. In good location and places like White House as re walkable. Wifi was acting up one day of my stay which caused work issues for a colleague.

The location excellent You can walk to different points of interest, a few blocks from the White House. The price-quality ratio very well. The attention provided by the outstanding staff. They gave us a lot of useful information about places to visit in the city and how to get around. The comfortable and well-equipped rooms. I would stay here again on a new trip to DC.

I stayed here during the summer, so the pool was a big PLUS. This was a high value hotel. It is walking distance from everything and the room were great, we even had a tiny balcony. The most important thing was the staff, especially the doorman, were very helpful and seemed to love what they were doing. Would stay here again.

The breakfast is simply magnificent. Dear angry, but magnificent. It is a pity that apparently they have no extra beds to add to the rooms: I was told to go and buy an inflatable mattress ........................ ......... The balconies should be renovated, they are becoming dilapidated. Normal accommodation, a little too dusty after they made us wait for 4 hours to prepare the room. In addition to having canceled our reservation ..............
ALWAYS remember to put the "not disturb" sign because the maids come to 7/8 in the morning - time when usually those on holiday tends to sleep, strangely. Bizarre. However, every night they left little bottles of water for everyone, which I really appreciated. The bed, although we were three, was supercomode <3

Service and people are great, wished the beds were more comfortable. A ton of pillows but none real comfortable. The location was perfect though, you can literally walk everywhere in a short distance. The room itself was very cozy and the balcony view was gorgeous.

A+

A very beautiful and clean hotel. Staff is nothing short of just amazing and very accommodating. Just walking distance from the White House. I really enjoyed my stay here and highly recommend it!

The location of the hotel is perfect if you wish to roam around the city. Federal Buildings are around a mile from here and easily walkable. My check-in was smooth and the room was neatly done. Although I was expecting a bigger room but it was still decent. Service was also prompt. I recommend this place

The hotel was nice the employees were great but my room was small nice but small. The location is great its not far from attractions in the area. The only reason i didn't give it a 5 star is because breakfast was not included and valet service suck.

I often go there after work for Happy Hour. Been going there for over 2 years. Reasonable prices, especially for DC. Sarah, Carlos, Sharda and Jim are great bartenders. Bronwyn and Frank are managers that always welcome us back.

Good location for the convention centre and short walk from 14th street and all its shops/bars/restaurants. The rooms are comfortable and the staff are really lovely and helpful. Rooms facing the circle are noisy.

Really good meal, crab tea was unique, beeswax salmon more interesting in preparation than taste. Bison strip was amazing. Very attentive staff, beautiful space. Kinda quiet for a Saturday night--but fun!

Stayed here for four nights. An excellent hotel with professional and friendly staff. Highly recommend the two-queem room with balcony, which provides a great view of Thomas Circle. The bathroom area is spacious, and the walk-in closet was useful for storing our gear. While the room is a bit pricey, the location and cleanliness make it worth the money. I'd stay here again for sure.

We called about the superior queen room, prior to booking, I asked if the room had a bathtub, I was told yes. I then asked if was a regular tub shower combo, was told yes again...(see pics, shampoo for scale) it's basically a foot soaking basin... The hotel is fine otherwise, it's obviously dated, but fine. Next visit I'll look for other options first.

Great location... very poor quality.

Great location... very poor quality.
Thomas Circle is such a great location, you. Can walk almost everywhere and it s close to shopping and restaurants. It is a shame that this place hasn t have a decent renovation. Rooms are small, bulky ugly furniture and a noisy filthy ventilation system.
Beds are comfortable too. And it has an old fashioned outdoor pool ( with lots of potential).
The breakfast is not included and the restaurant is scarily Outdated.

You can definitely tell this is an older property, but they've clearly done some upgrading so the decor is modern and comfortable. Our room was small, but definitely clean. We were overnight guests attending a wedding at the hotel. The food was really good and the staff was friendly and helpful.

The hotel is nice. The lobby is clean and decorated in a modern feel. The room I stayed in was nice enough. The bed was comfortable and the air was easy to adjust. I was annoyed by the remote control (had to press buttons multiple times to get it to change the channel). The room had all of the regular amenities like coffee maker, fridge, iron, and toiletries. However, the sound from the street into the room was very loud. It seemed like a siren was blasting every hour. It was very difficult to sleep in and I received a call from the front desk at 8 am to make sure that I go to the desk before I checked out. Staff was courteous and helpful, but someone mistook my room for someone else's early in the morning. Also, the late night food menu was lacking. Overall a nice place though

Stayed at this hotel location wise this is pretty close to most of the attraction sites in DC the room is spacious and the balcony made my trip so much better. The front desk agent was very welcoming and so is the rest of the staff.

Service was very nice, room was on the smaller side, but had everything you need in a hotel room. Very clean. In a good downtown location, though very noisy throughout the night, bring earplugs!

This is a great hotel and very accommodating. I asked for a room on the top floor with a view of trees, and that's just what they gave me. The breakfast food is delicious. I had oatmeal this morning, Yum, Yum If I visit Washington DC again, I would choose this hotel again.

We came to DC to celebrate my 52nd birthday. A friend reserved a room here so we cancelled our existing reservation and followed suit. Booking online was smooth and we did an advanced booking and prepaid our stay. Our flight arrived and our Lyft ride took us straight go the hotel. When we pulled up, we were warmly received by the door greeters. However, the little Asian desk clerk was not as warm and friendly when checking us in. I was disappointed that they collected additional monies on a prepaid booking. When we got to our room (525), I was disappointed again at the view. Nonetheless, the room was immaculate and the decor was beautiful; smooth burnt oranges, purple, deep rust and golden hues. The pillows and neck roll on the bed were absolute quality. These colors permeate the hallways, which were also immaculately kept. The room attendants are the best always a smile! We enjoyed our meals poolside and the wait staff was so friendly. We only went to the bar once as we're not big drinkers, but the ambience was relaxing. It would be great if those who book three nights or more were given a free breakfast for two. If five nights or more, a free breakfast and dinner. There's too much competition not to incentivize. All in all, a wonderful stay. Will definitely consider rebooking in the future.
