I love movie world. It was disappointing that some of the big rides were closed but it is still a awesome place.
I love movie world. It was disappointing that some of the big rides were closed but it is still a awesome place.
Great place would go again. However everything cost, photos with characters etc, food way to over priced. Better to fill yourself before and just enjoy the rides.
Small and some facilities aren't open. Taking photos there is interesting
When you buy one pass (locals pass) it give syou four parks which is awesome! (Movie world, wet n'wild, country paradise and SeaWorld!) Its expensive for tourist but has a cheaper option for locals. Great park, not many rides but my favourite ride is the Marvel DC ride. (The highest and I believe fastest) gets boring after a while but if you get used to it there is an option for you to sit facing back words on the ride (DC ride) Overall a really fun place and is great for kids! (Prices can be high)
Nice place for a visit. However, I have been here once before and next time just feels boring. Good rides and massive waiting line with them. Much smaller than dreamworld however it has nice hollywoody atmosphere to it.
Unfortunately here on a rainy day but kids still had a great day!! Probs not as much for kids 5 and 3 to do but they still enjoyed their day.
Great place for kids and adults all the characters are very committed and talented
Grate place for families, but kids area (3-6years) are limited in options. Must try scoopydoo + waterfall in wild west
Great place to visit if you don't mind the long waits
Its movie world, it is exactly what you'd expect, lots of fun rides, heaps of fun characters and plenty to do. Things to do for both young and old.
Waited on average 90 mins per ride. Not with the money.
Went on a weekday outside of holidays, they have kept everything up to date and have a great range of rides. Love the DC addition to the park. Staff were easy going and attentive.
Love the attractions. HYPERCOASTER DOESN'T DISSAPOINT, don't sleep on Arkham Asylum. Loney tunes characters and Other Superheros always ready to cath them Woahs!
Just love it, but seems small, they are trying to add stuff as much as possible but very slow to do it, so a good day out needs to be less price if it got less Rides etc
Was the biggest waste of time and money half the good ride were closed. would not recommend
I reckon Movie World is the best out of all the theme parks.
Loved it. The ride I was most excited about was closed for repairs so that sucked but loved everything else
About 1/5 of it is shut down. Not much more than just roller coasters and street parades :/
Roller-coasters are rather good. Don't bother with the scoobydoo one until they actually install some lights. It's literally just moving around in the dark
Movie World credit to you!
They opened the gates early for children with autism and their families (on a specific day) just amazing! We created memories that we'll never forget- Thank you!
Just to get in, took over an hour, went on 2 rides with a combine wait time of 3 hours, ridiculous. To be honest, I do not think I will ever return, without the rides there is not much to do.
While there are less rides at Movie World compared to neighbouring parks such as Wet n Wild and Dreamworld, the atmosphere was very nice, especially with shows going around the park every half hour or so.
Even if you are not into rollercoasters, you will still find many things to do here at Movie World.
Went for Fright Night. Not as good as previous years but still a fabulous night out . Conjuring 2 maze was by far the scariest.
Amazing rides. Been there two times with friends, enjoyed every time. Definitely should buy multi day entry pass to enjoy every bit of the park. As the park may go through maintenance. Highly recommended
Fun escape and rides. Staff are friendly and helpful. Loved the stunt show. Only downside is the refill machines running out fast. Could be due to school holidays and Christmas time as well.
Great rides but all the staff looked sad and weren't helpful
It's a great day out! Unfortunately due to my partner being nearly 7 foot he could literally only go on 1 ride. Parks should cater for all shapes and sizes not just for small petite things. Other than that rides are great.
I was a little disappointed in Movie World. The only parts I enjoyed were the roller coasters that were open that day. They had closed one for scheduled maintenance, and then the superman one was closed because of mechanical issues that were happening when the ride was running.
I think the park is more geared towards young kids, and there is lots for them to do, but as a group of adults, past the few rollercoasters it gets pretty boring.
IMHO, Doesn't compare with Disney for spectacle but wins it back for the rides
DC rivals, GreenLanterns coaster and Scooby doo coaster...
Always loved this place for the past 7 years at least. Always recommended to people who visit to or around this area
Fun roller coasters, good food, great place for kids and adults alike.
shout out to Wonder woman Wednesday 4th September. You made my daughter's day, thankyou for taking the time to spend with her and also the free icecream. She was over the moon! She is 3yo calls and you her best friend now. Haha.
Remember $170....Footpaths need work, cracked concrete and pebbles are visible, some buildings well outdated, food extremely overpriced for what you get in the plate, chairs look very used and tables wobble, lots of rides were not working, lots. Flower gardens are excellent, waiting areas are clean and neat. Some staff require additional customer service training, but most are ...ok, not good, not terrible, just meh. Character actors are great.
I am not a big fan of theme parks like this one but my bf persuaded me to come with a year pass in hand. Initially I was TERRIFIED of the roller-coasters. Especially the Hypercoaster but Oh-my-gosh! After the first ride, we had soo much fun here!. Our favourites are the Superman, Hypercoaster, Arkham Asylum and Batwing Spaceshot. Scooby doo was fine, Justice League was a bit boring for me but my partner enjoyed it. Unfortunately The green lantern ride was closed the few times we went back but my partner loved it the previous times he's been around. Overall if you are not sure about Movie World. JUST GO, have plenty of fun, challenge yourself and overcome your fears. Trust me, you will be making a great decision :).
It is the funnest place ever love it great for a family day out
Great theme park for family fun. Come on weekdays to enjoy the fun without the crowd.
What a great place to take the kids! Staff are friendly and amazing. Lots of activities and themes and rides. Good food.
Outstanding place for children. Go outside of school holidays for no cues
Kids aged 10,9&5 loved it. Good selection of rides for the brave and not so brave. Friendly staff. Affordable food. Good layout of toilet facilities. Clean. Kids loved the arcade which offers great ticketing games and easy to reach goals for good prizes. Well priced souvenirs too. Will be back. Annual pass!!!
Not the same anymore. I also believe they need to have discount tickets for those people who cant go on any rides at all. E.g. a pregnant women. Paying full price to just walk around is just ridiculous
Wow but today it's raining so couldn't get excitement can we get any refund for this
Roller coaster was good fun but several rides were closed.
I am so disappointed in the way this major company has performed I have recently purchased a yearly pass. First disappointing experience was when we couldn't book our whole family in to White Christmas and I was told when I rang to try and sort it out that I had to email support and speak to them because no one could help me after I emailed support they told me to try a different device then when I rang again and I was given the same story. After a very angry conversation they emailed support and fixed the problem, yet then when I visited the park and purchased a FAST PHOTO on the 27th of December again the photos have not loaded this still has not been corrected on the 11th of January. If your systems do mot work then don't offer them, I will not be purchasing anything from this park again and am very disappointed in the responses.
The stunt show is rubbish. A few years back we had motocross riders doing cool tricks and before that cars up on 2 wheels! It was a decent show. Now it's just a crappy commadore ute doing a skid. Waste of time. For all those complaining about long lines and waits, go when is raining! All the rides still run and we did 5 rides in the first 45min. We ended up doing wet n wild on the same day too!
Decent theme park with a few good rides. However the Scooby-Doo ride is awful and should be torn down. Superman ride remains the best.
Batman-superman ...You will get to see every Warner Bros character here ..
4-5thrilller rides r available. Which usually takes wait time from 30-60mins.
That staff were very helpful. The rides were radtastic! It took way to long to process people entering the park for the first time.
Great place to spend the day, great for children, teens and adults
Yo rides are sick and staff are friendly af. Have a blast and roll one
Nice place to visit at least once. Car stunt show was awesome. Parade of cartoon character for kids. Mostly rides for kids.
What a fun place to go for a good day out! Its great for kids and big kids with the thrills of the huge rides and the characters and shows for the younger kids. It is expensive but i highly recommend purchasing the yearly pass if you're a Queenslander so then you can go as many times as you want. It also includes the new Topgolf activity and the other themeparks. The only tip is to check before you go on the day to see what rides are not working. Some days it can be one but the other day (on a Sunday) there were 6 turned off.. Also so much fun when its raining cause they are no lines. Also you have to stay for the 3:30pm parade! So much fun and good entertainment.
As the person who comes along to hold bags and wait with the little guy unable to go on big kids rides and wait in little kid queues with him, I still had a great time! My vegan option (nachos) were yummy, the entertainment was lively, parking was ample, toilets clean.
Mr 5 loved it. Rides very short and queues very long. Need more rides
Great Shows, Lots to do for Family's and Adults! Fright Night Is Always Crazy Busy but is still an amazing experience and a must try for anyone who likes a fright! The Christmas parade also brilliant and lots of activities for the kids to get involved in! Car Stunt Show is awesome my little boy loves it! Movie World is always clean and the staff are always friendly!
Awesome park, the best I've been to by far!! Totally recommend and would come back 100 times. The only downside are the long waiting times, on weekends you can wait 45 min to get into a rollercoaster.
Honestly, get a year long pass and you won't be pulling your hair out if you miss out on any of the shows. You can take your time going through the park and won't feel rushed to check out and see everything in one day.
Only okay, 3 major rides closed but still have to pay full price. Operation of rides is very slow.
Super fun place to visit all year long. Plenty of rides, merch stores and food places to choose from. Wish I was back there now!
Woohoo much awesomeness in 1 place! Highly recommend for families! (or big kids lol!)
All staff so friendly great day for nan granddad mum dad and kids. There is a coffee shop in there with great coffee in the main street
Paying extra for Ultimate experience and Hosts make it worthwhile.
Waaay overcrowded; hour long queues for every ride. Absolutely a tourist trap.
Absolutely a waste of time and money, expensive and you are lucky to get on three rides throughout the entire day. I don t recommend going here at all.
I loved visiting movie world if only they we more accommodating for people with ceoliacs
Fun park, not too crowded. Some great rides but queues not managed as well as Walt's boys. Worth a visit
Gold Coast staple. It is a good day out. Many rides and experiences.
Everything was great, the food was awesome, friendly staff & the coolest rides..A+++++..Highly recommend it to all..
It really isn't what I remember as a child. It seems to have lost the family feel. It seemed like at ever turn a hand was out to take more money.
I had fond memories of getting photos with the characters - Looney Toons. When I wanted to create the same memory for my son we were told that a $20 note would now get you the same opportunity (even if you were to use your own camera and after you had paid big money to get it).
Unfortunately half the rides were shut down when I was there. I had paid full price for my ticket and had not been warned that a lot of the attractions were closed. It was fairly disappointing ......
An overly busy day was made good by the absolute thrill that is the DC Rivals Hypercoaster and the generous amount of shade and misting fans along the entire length of the waiting line. This all made the 3 hour wait bearable. The ride was only running at half capacity very possibly due to the rain that happened in the morning. The downside of the day was the hot soft drink. No matter what refill station we tried the soft drink was hot and the ice machines had run dry. Superman, Scooby doo and The Green Lantern all had issues during the day as well as the Tijuana Taxis struggling to have cars charged to meet demand midway through the afternoon. Lucky we have yearly passes hey. BTW that's me in orange shirt.
