I don't recommend staying there as it targets mostly orthodox community clientele. Breakfast is poor for a 5 star hotel comparing with the neighbors king David or Mamilla hotel.

Glorious, conservative, majority religious and ultra-Orthodox. This is not a problem, of course. But with tons of children being hosted there, we came twice as guests of the hotel customers. There are no activities or facilities for children. You will not treat your children with food, except for a pizza that is not child-focused. Too bad.

Perhaps the best thing in Waldorf is the fact that there is a TV embedded in bathroom's mirror. This allows for the quite rare pleasure of watching discovery channel while soaking in a bubble bath.
On the other hand, there is no spa or swimming pool.
Room service was less then awesome, we ordered a feta cheese sandwich, its bread was served cold and didn't weren't its steep price tag.
The view from the 9th floor is stunning, giving a wide overview of Jerusalem.
The hotel is built in historical renovated building. The glass roof of the enclosed part building inner court can be replaced with canopy for the holidays.

We got a really nice clean spacious room with two bathrooms, jacuzzi, sauna, dining area and more but.. Shabat breakfast was very poor, some ingredients were not fresh, two out of four elevators are Shabat elevators so you have to wait a few minutes in order to get down to the lobby and the most annoying and surprising; there is no gym but a one small room with one running machine and one stepper and some yoga mattresses. Very upsetting!

If you have a complaint in this hotel. They will take care of it TERRIBLY! For dinner, please go to the nearest Mac Donalds just not to dissapoint yourself. I have never seen such a bad service. For this price and a hotel with this name. I will save you guys the story. But i have all evidence here on my mail. We were very dissapointed in this hotel and feeling sorry for the staff that, do want to make this hotel to a succes. The room itself is perfect just like the location. There were beautiful and nice moments. Only this bad experience is feeling like a big brown chocolate spot on a brand new white T-shirt.

Very nice hotel to stay close to old Jerusalem (about 10 min walk to Jaffa gate). Stuff was friendly and kind, they offered us a bottle of Moscato and some chacolate upon our arrival. We had great time staying on 9th floor with a view of the city. Will stay here again on our trip to Israel.

Stayed there this week, never expected to get such a horrible service from the reception. I came there with my foreign girlfriend which is a student who doesn't need to pay VAT(also confirm it with them via email before).
When we getting there suddenly we do need to pay it even we never paid it anywhere else.
The reception clerks were aggressive and rude and told us we either paying more 420 Shekels or can leave the hotel.
After I showed them an official document saying A2 visa(student visa) doesn't need to pay VAT(A document from the tax authorities) they kept argue with me and said they have another document that saying different thing and i should call the ministry of tourism and check it out(instead of them checking cause obviously it's their job)
Me and my girlfriend was in shock that they behave like that.
We never experience such bad service from an hotel, and also didn't expected that from hotel that describes itself as one of the best in israel. Because we relatively young to the other hotel guests they kept saying "you got a really good rate anyway why do you complain about 100 USD" which is rude and really irrelevant to the situation. I stayed in waldorf astoria in some other cities around the world and never experienced such a disappointment as in waldorf jerusalem. I would expect at least to get some type of compensation like a dinner or a discount which they never offered.
Also force you to pay 50 ILS for parking each day(like you don't pay enough for the room already) which is a rip off and I've never encountered this before in any other hotel.
I guess there are much better hotels to spend that much money and get what you deserve, Waldorf is not one of them.

Hands down the nicest hotel in the city. The lobby is very special, the skylight roof turns into a Suka. In addition there is both a dairy and meaty restaurant. Fantastic service, worth a visit.

Seems like their housekeeping motto is: Lets just wait for the problem to go away. The problem being my problem with hotel bed and their unwillingness to believe me or to solve the problem. Having stayed at too many hotels to remember, the housekeeping on the 5th floor of this hotel has not communicated with me over the past 2 days. Again, let's just wait for the problem to leave. I expect that during my remaining stay they will not reach out to me as some better hotels, such as the Ritz or 4 Seasons, are committed to their guests. The hotel overall is very nice and somewhat updated. Other then housekeeping, the hotel and restaurant staff are friendly and accommodating. Location is very central to the city. I would recommend this hotel for a short stay as long as you don't have room problems. I believe they may have set the bar too low for customer service. I expect their reply, if any, to this review will be: Sorry about your disappointment and you should contact us. Shouldn't they be contacting me. I will update my rating should there be changes.
An update: I changed my review from 2 to 3 stars. Management contacted me and made a very good effort in correcting the situation. I hope they will follow up with improving their housekeeping and maintaining good guest relationships.

Always a pleasure to be at the Waldorf in Jerusalem. Was there for breakfast They probably hVe the biggest variety of everything you can think of!
And, everything is delicious!
A few days ago I went to see a movie on their rooftop! Wonderful!

Absurdly, I was very disappointed with the dessert.
I wanted to indulge in a sweet dish,
I ordered something that is beautifully described,
In practice, a dish was served, which was not enough to be very small,
It had the aftertaste of a product stored for a long time in the freezer.
I told the waiter in charge, and he chose not to charge money for the dish.
I'm really disappointed.
I took time to settle down where I expected more ...
And such a disappointing dish. Wow ..
The place itself looks special ..
