Wow. Take a picnic as it's cheaper. Plus the gardens are amazing. Go here and relax. Recommend you go when it's not busy and spend the whole day here.

Cafe prices are as expected but the coffee it good.

A great visit. Spent most of the day there. Unbelievable that the Rothchilds gave the house, the contents and a bequest for the upkeep to the National Trust. In the cellars the Rothchilds still store thousands of bottles of wine Some for themselves and some to be sold in the wine shop.
The restaurant, although slightly expensive, serves a wide selection of food and drink of good standard. The gardens are extensive and well planted, the parkland vast and filled with large herds of deer.
The staff are very knowledgeable, friendly and approachable.
The visit is obviously free for members with a charge for others. You must visit.

We booked our timed ticket for the house online, but still arrived 30 minutes before, to park, queue for the free shuttle bus, and wander leisurely to the house.

All went very smoothly and the volunteers and staff were all lovely and helpful, friendly and human!

We spent about 2 hours walking round the house (though we then reached saturation point and left without seeing everything ... there's SO much) ... and then walked down the hill to the stables cafe for very yummy chicken skewers. We also had an ice cream (to help with the big walk back up the hill to the house and parterre). It is possible to eat in the restaurant up at the house, but I'd recommend seeping the house and garden BEFORE going to the stables block unless you're ok with hills!

We were fine (aged 42 and 69) ... and the views and gardens are worth a leisurely stroll or sit!

The bedding plants were going in (1st June), so these will be looking fantastic very soon.

Our family come here quite often. There's plenty to do and they usually have something going on. The volunteers are always very friendly and happy to help. The P&R is quick and efficient, and the kids love the ride.

Lovely grounds to walk around and great for conker collecting in autumn. Brilliant woodland play area for children. The house is like a maze, it's very large and impressive. The restaurant was ok but would probably not eat there again. Nice day out overall.

Incredible French styled chateau in the middle of England! A truly sumptuous building absolutely stuffed full of art, amazing furniture and history. Beautiful gardens and woods to stroll around, excellent national trust shop and good selection of food and eats - in the stables (no longer used as stables). Fascinating and absorbing place to visit.

Visited Waddesdon Manor on 19/12/2019. Having been to Blenheim Palace on 2 previous occasions to see the Christmas lights I can only describe Waddesdon house as a disappointment, the house itself was utterly chaotic, nothing was signed and the staff were very unhelpful just watching people totally lost wandering aimlessly. Go to Blenheim folks this place is shambolic

Visited Christmas Fair: very well laid out and looked superb. Car park to bus stop was a trek and the bus stop (huge queue) was about a mile from the manor. Manor tickets were sold out and weather was decidedly chilly, which was a shame as the light display promised to be excellent. Stalls were plentiful but expensive. We WILL go back next year but only if we csn get into the manor at some point.

Whether you're a National Trust member or not then Waddeson Manor is a must visit place. If you're a first time visitor the bus ride from the car park through the grounds builds up the anticipation of what to expect and then the bus drops you off at the front of the Manor and what a first view you get... absolutely fantastic what a building. You take the walk up the drive directly to the house or stroll off to the sides through the beautiful gardens either way you end up at the front entrance. The interior of the Manor is unbelievable with so much to take in that a second visit is a must.
However, with all the history that's inside the building one of the most photographed items must be the exploding chandelier by Ingo Maurer situated in the dining room it is definitely one to look out for.
Overall Waddeson was a fantastic day out and we look forward to visiting again.

Lovely place to visit. There are mini buses to drive to the Manor from the car park if you can't walk all the way. Book tickets to visit the Manor well in advance as they get sold out quickly. Bring a pique nique blanket if the weather permits and enjoy the beautiful grounds around you. The woods have a playground area for the children. We didn't managed to see it all so we will be back!

Waddesdon Manor is a National Trust property once owned by the Rothschild's. There is (a flexible) timed entry to the house. Only certain rooms were open during the Christmas holidays. There is also a Christmas market. We ate in the stables restaurant which was very good.

This is such a nice place to visit. There is usually some kind of event happening, whether it's Easter, egg hunts, Halloween trails or Christmas decorations and market. The Christmas lights are amazing and well worth the visit. Book the rooms early as they sell out very quickly.

Beautiful building and a highly efficient service ran by the National Trust here. We visited for the light festival and it was beautiful. Plus there's lots of great little pop-up shops as part of their Christmas market which are lots of fun to look around. You do need to book in advance for the tour of the house and the christmas fair, so don't just turn up otherwise you may be disappointed.

Stunning house and grounds, probably one of the most impressive sites in National Trust's portfolio. Be warned the house entrance is timed and needs to be booked in advance. Also the car park is a fair distance away from the buildings and is serviced by a shuttle bus. I'd advise parking at least 40min before house entrance time.

Great day out with the family. Nice little walks around the grounds and was lucky enough time our visit whilst the Christmas markets were on.

Lots of paths if you don t want get too muddy walking in the winter. It s also dog friendly in all outside spaces excluding the children s play area.

I would recommend the walk from the car park instead of the bus as you get to see a bit more too. Only takes about 10-12 minutes.

The house and grounds are amazing, food service is slow, very slow and they get your order wrong. After wondering around we found the teepee, much better service and food. Bring a set of earphones (for an audio tour) and just get coffee from the coffee bar by the cellars.

Great place filled with beautiful furniture, well organized with restaurant, bistro, cafe and cafe bar. We loved the aviary and cafe in the stables area. The car park is some distance from the house, but a frequent shuttle bus runs to the house and stables.

Great place with a large variety of events at different times of the year. The main house is only worth visiting at Xmas with a display. Food is pricy and the wait is long despite there being 2 restaurants and lots of snack stops.
