Lovely house but not steeped in history like many others
A wonderful place. An oasis of relaxation. A place that will delight anyone.
Good parking with a shuttle service up to the pathway to the house. Lovely spacious grounds. The house was not open as it was being prepared for Christmas. Wine cellar was very interesting and the wine shop offered a good selection of wines at a variety of prices. Would recommend a visit. Our next visit will be the Christmas fayre which runs from mid November and offered a good selection of goodies last year.
A great day out for the family in good weather. Entrance is expensive so worth considering joining the National Trust before visiting. Ample parking - you take a bus up to the house. We like the woodland playground (lots of choice for different ages), the birds and in the summer the rose garden is well worth a visit. The stables area usually has an interesting exhibit and the cafe has a good selection of light bites. We usually picnic and there is plenty of open spaces and benches to do so on.
A great place to visit, picnic, walk and for little ones to enjoy the adventure play parks. Wine is good too !
Great place to walk ,see the house, eat and just be allowed to use the enormous grounds.
Gorgeous building and grounds. Shame they've started charging members extra to get In the house
Nice place for a day out. Wide open spaces, kids can run about and explore. Nice relaxed feel.
Beautiful grounds and now allowed dogs on a lead as well. Lovely way to while away the weekend
Another version of Blingheim Palace, built to impress, not as a home & definitely being run purely as a money making enterprise now with regular events for Halloween, Xmas etc with lots of kiddy magnet attractions & about 2 dozen cafes dotted around the site. Quite interesting to see the interior of the house, but you need to buy tickets online prior to arriving or you're highly unlikely to get in, so, meh...
Wonderful day out especially in the Summer and early December..
New car park and bus shuttles to the manor help a lot.
Excellent manor, great views and a lot of content, although it's a reminder of the vastly over opulent wealth of a few people at the expense of the starvation level peasants.
Xmas is a great time for viewing the Bachelor wing, although it hardly changes from one year to the next.
Recently they have got with it and are hosting more interesting food and sometimes music festivals in the grounds.
During the winter, excellent light displays in the grounds attract hundreds of visitors.
Even when busy, a nice place to visit. The bus drivers are first class taking visitors safely from the car park to the house and surrounding grounds. In particular helping my wife and baby with buggy on and off the bus. A bit like going back in time when people still had good manners
Fabulous house to visit which has so much of the original contents from when the NT was given the property..... lovely gardens - again in the original formal style..... And the wine cellars .......
Great food too.
Being a member makes this place an ideal last minute trip out to enjoy the weather, without too much expense.
One of the most beautiful national trust place I have visited . Im definitely on mission to visit more of your luxury and history places in the future
Also thanks to your friendly professional staff for their service
Put on a real effort to provide visitor attractions worth a visit.
Fabulous so much to see and do you'll go back many times. Beautiful gardens . Wines and high dining. As well as the Christmas food fare and artworks . Aviary and children's adventure play area
Absolutely fantastic experience. My family and I loved it. Well done to all staff involved.
A great place to visit in all seasons. The Christmas decorations and lights were lovely this year too.
Historic old house, with avary nearby and amazing gardens to walk in.
What a fantastic day out , the gardens and the Manor House are truly stunning , well worth a visit Trust me on that
Well organized, the kindest, helpful people ever. Loved the house, the grounds, the lights show. Impecable in every aspect. I am a National Trust member and a regular visitor, but never stop surprising me. Happy New Year and keep up the good work.
Catch the bus up play ground is great for the kids. A fish chip van would be great
Did a fun run there and the place was lit up pretty
Great family day out, with beautiful gardens and play area for the kids along with beautiful relaxing locations for the adults. Some really nice restaurants and cafes to grab a coffee and sandwiches. The Manor is awesome. Beautiful pictures on display along with many wonderful designs and furniture. A must place to visit.
Love this place, good walks, playground for kiddies, nice grass area.
I love going there. You really need the pass if not it is too expensive.
Disappointing, went specifically to see the publicised tulips, pathetic display. Especially gauling as our friends posted pictures of Arundel on the same day .
Can I say.your house looks.brilant and ismworth getting s ticket to.see all the different themes in all the rooms very well done and I think the light dacing in the stable is out.of.this world it's.so very good.looking I will.tell.my.frinds.to.come.and.look.araround it's.very clever whot.a.computer.can can do.very well.done to.all
Loved the Christmas fair and light trails. Brilliant couple of hours spent with the kids. Well organised
Gorgeous manor from the outside not visited the inside yet. Lovely grounds to walk around, have a picnic.
Great day out for all the family, the house offers a game to locate different items to keep the kids entertained while the adults enjoy the visit.
Beautiful grounds for great walks, with good choices of eateries
Fantastic day out. The whole family really enjoyed it.
It's just got very money grabbing .
The stalls were crammed in long lines.
All selling not very interesting items.
Lights are very good .
My review is in regard of the Stables cafe. My friends and I went there for some food and drinks. Maybe because it was close to the end of their working day, but there was a very poor choice of foods. So we decided to have some hot beverages. We were served with some coffees that reminded dishwater along with cold milk. The coffee was horrendous, I couldn't believe that in such beautiful place the hot drinks were below any standards. It seemed that the girls run hot water through the coffee grounds over and over again. Shame!
A shambles! Waiting in the queue to get in the car park for over an hour because there were no spaces! Do not sell more tickets than you have spaces. People didnt manage to get in before lots of the food stalls were closed or had run out of food. You shouldve been more prepapred. Overall not worth the wait or money
Lovely day out at the Chilli Fest beautiful gardens and views.
Absolutely exquisite grounds and impeccably kept gardens. The aviary is thoughtfully presented. Ample space for children to enjoy the area. Recommend going on a bright and clear day to really soak in the sights. Allow 2-4 hours to really take it all in!
Not as meny Christmas stalls as usual and most of them where food stalls
Entrance fee expensive. Must have made a fortune during the Christmas market time
Great if expensive Christmas market and wonderful light show
Beautiful place. Unfortunately only the grounds were open , hopefully will be able to go inside next time.
Absolutely beautiful place to visit before Christmas. Fab stalls and beautiful decorations. Will definitely visit next year without the dogs so we can go into the manor
Wonderful day out, well worth a visit, beautiful grounds
Jewel in the crown of National Trust properties. Stunning.
Lovely garden and the house is beautiful. Parking is easy and there is a shuttle bus to the grounds
100% loved it recommend visiting this place especially at the moment with all the Christmas fair going on
Quick visit as on day out nearby - ice cream in the stables was good. Painting exhibition an added bonus
Absolutely Fab, we came at Christmas so the house wasn't fully open but it was truly magical will be returning in the summer and can't wait. Definitely give yourself plenty of time before house booking as it's busy.
