Jason helped my friend, Linda, buy a loaded Terrain. He was so patient, helpful, and had a great sense of humor. If I was gonna buy a newer or new vehicle, I would want Jason for my salesman!
All the Staff at Wackerli Buick GMC were helpful and friendly....not pushy or overbearing like you imagine car salesmen to be. More like family.
They even gave us some top-notch restaurant suggestions!
I highly recommend Wackerli.....ask for Jason!

Due to recent events, I feel forced to tell you about my experience with BA Wackerli GMC/Subaru in Idaho Falls.
I saw a 2008 GMC sierra on their used lot that I liked and wanted to learn more about its history before I purchased it.
During this process I asked if the ball joints were in good condition because I know, from experience, GMC/Chevy truck ball joints can be quite expensive to replace.
I was assured by my salesperson and a service writer, the ball joints were in good, working condition. I also told my salesperson if the ball joints needed to be replaced, they could add this amount to the purchase price of the truck but she assured me they did not need to be replaced.
The check engine light was also on in the truck so I asked that they diagnose and fix the problem so I could purchase the truck. I was contacted a few days later and was informed they had "fixed" it and the truck was ready to go.
During this process I also learned their service department had "gone through" the 5.3L engine in the truck in the spring of 2014 because of valve problems. I was then told the engine would come with a 1 year warranty from the date they replaced the valve train.
So after all of this, in November 2014, I decided to buy the truck because I assumed they had been truthful about the trucks history. I do take partial blame for taking a used car dealership at its word but let's be honest, they should tell all customers the truth about their vehicles.

Almost immediately I found a set of custom wheels and tires for my truck. While at Big O tires I asked them do an alignment on the truck so I did not chew up my new tires.

This is when the surprises started.

I was shown by my good friend at Big O, 3 of the 4 ball joints were so bad they couldn't even align the truck. Great.
I went back to Wackerli to see if they could explain the lie they had given me about the ball joints. I was informed they did not know why I was told they were in good condition but were eager to replace them for well over $1,000.
I went back to Big O tires where they replaced them for less than $800.
2 weeks after I replaced the ball joints the check engine light came back on so I went back to Wackerli to see what the cause was. I then learned the oil pressure was so low in the engine it had caused the check engine light to come on. I also learned this is the reason the check engine light was on before I bought the truck.
The service dept associate assured me they had "checked it" and the oil pressure was "fine".
This answer did not make me feel good about my purchase so I went to a reputable mechanic in Idaho Falls where I learned the oil pressure was indeed low and as we know, low oil pressure causes catastrophic engine problems.
When I went back to Wackerli (within 1 month of my purchase) and talked to the service department about my "engine warranty" they told me low oil pressure was not covered because they did not look at the oil pump or bearings when they "went through" the engine.
Great customer service so far right?

After I paid a good mechanic to truly go through the engine we found faulty bearings and a bad oil pump to be the culprits.

I do want to add that during this process Wackerli did Mail me a check for $100 because of all the lies that were told to me.

Then in spring 2015 my brother in law looked at a used Subaru Forester at Wackerli Subaru. I told him about my experience but he ignored my advice as family usually does ;)

The car had just over 100,000 miles and he was assured by his salesperson the timing belt and water pump had been done by a "certified Subaru tech" within the last 15,000 miles. My brother in law then decided to buy this Subaru Forrester from Wackerli.
He has now had the car for just over 8 months and all of a sudden his car started to leak coolant so he took it to Wackerli Subaru for diagnosis.
Surprise, the water pump is bad and the timing belt is dangerously close to failing. When he asked about the salesman who sold him the car, he was told "he does not work here anymore because of reasons like this"

I have mixed feelings. Customer service was great when I complained. The front desk guy was very apologetic when the mechanic took 6 HOURS to change the tires. Yes six. And then come to find out the tires didn't fit and they had taken my tires off their rims and didn't even put them back on.
When we complained they tried to make it right. We went and got new wheels that the place swore up and down would fit our car. Wackerli said they would put them on for free. We be been there an hour when they come out and tell us the wheels don't fit. Well they didn't even mount the tire so how could they know if the tkrw was making a clicking noise on the car when they spun.
But whatever.
They offered a free oil change which to be honest to have my car worked on there you would have to pay me.
Customer service was great though.

They tried to sell me a car hard. It didn't have something needed. I didn't buy it and i went to sextons instead. This place is over priced. They also called me 2 times and emailed me. One call would have sufficed.

Just bought a GMC truck that had some issues but worked and just needed some TLC so i thought id bring it to the pros of that brand of vehicle. However After having to wait a week and finally being able to get someone just to look at the vehicle i asked more than once for the 172 point inspection which included a test drive of the vehicle by a mechanic i thought GREAT what better way than to have a GMC mechanic feel what i feel when i drive the truck so cool! but that is not what i got what i got instead was mechanics that wont talk to you almost had to corner them just to ask a question, no test drive, the lower point inspection, which included obvious things that are wrong with the truck like cracked tail light cover some not so obvious things like motor mounts need replaced helpful but not the full story liked i asked for and was willing to pay for.
after all was done i took it to a regular hardworking mechanic just working for his family and got WAY better service and a bunch of information that the GMC tech missed! and the regular guy i took it too did NOT EVEN CHARGE ME! on a side note one of the mechanics at wackerli buick Cadillac Dannie i think if i would have gotten him as my mechanic did talk to me and seemed to understand good customer service but unfortunately i did not get him as my mechanic.

Cy was professional and very helpful. He obviously wanted us to find a car that best suited our needs, and helped us learn enough about our choices to be very pleased about our new GMC Acadia. The staff who helped with the financial side of the purchase was also very helpful.

Weird experience - took my GMC truck to get a tune-up; the little high-strung bald guy that checked me in (general manager?) put me on edge. Very uptight, awkward guy -aggressive sales pitch. Building was cinderblock warehouse housing Cadillacs, super strange. Walk in to the service counter: Emily, a teenage girl with no obvious knowledge of the automotive industry is trying to explain to me what I need done with my vehicle and the time frame it will take. Other two guys sitting at the front seemed as inept as she did. Basically, at this point, I'm assuming that everyone that will be quoting and looking at my vehicle has no damn idea what they are doing. I of course, politely declined. NO THANK YOU. Heading to CNS.

Horrible experience they would not warranty my Cadillac and so GM had me take it to taylor Cadillac in Rexburg and they treated me very well and warranted everything, save your just self and do not use these people to buy or service your vehicles!

Edit: Wackerli made up this little story below that doesnn't actually represent the truth. Numbers are numbers, but Wackerli is totally unprofessional and apparently missed the point entirely. Went somewhere else and got what we needed.

Original post: I guess we should have come to look at the ratings before bothering to drive 90 minutes to see these people! They don't listen. I told them my husband has back pain and can't sit for very long, told them what my trade-in is worth, and told them I needed to get their best offer so that I could get home. They didn't budge on the sticker price, kept us sitting there forever, and offered a fraction of what I KNOW my car is worth. They are disrespectful and are not paying any attention.

Then of course they start calling and calling the next business day trying to get our business. If they wanted it that badly all they had to do was treat us with respect. No way are we going to waste our time back there. The only reason I even gave them 1 star is because I can't give 0 stars.

After going to almost every dealership in this town, and talking to more people than necessary! I started to get discouraged in my search for a new vehicle. Until I got to Wackerli that being said I m so thankful Jason was there to help me out although it was cold and snowing!
These guys really take the extra steps to make sure you re taken care of!! I will forever highly recommend these amazing people!

On Memorial day, my trucks vacuum pump completely ...

On Memorial day, my trucks vacuum pump completely "exploded" during a long road trip from Wyoming to Oregon. I called multiple dealers and not a single one was open, not even GMC customer service lines were open. Then I found Wackerli. Before calling, I had accepted defeat and was planning to spend thousands flying to Oregon while my vehicle was being fixed for weeks and flying back when it was complete. I figured I'd have to rent a car for weeks. But this was not the case.

On a holiday, at 4:00 PM, I called this dealer and they were more than willing and ready to help. Within 10 minutes of calling, my vehicle was at the dealer being diagnosed. They even gave me a ride back to my hotel. Within an hour and a half, they called me back with a full diagnosis.

They were able to get the needed parts from another local dealer and repair my vehicle in less than 24 hours. By 2:00 PM the next day, they had my vacuum pump and other applicable parts completely replaced and had me on the road again. The best part is that it was all a part of a recall from GMC. Only 60 dollars for oil out of my pocket and the dinner myself and my SO enjoyed that night.

The amount of time and money this dealership saved me was incredible, and that is something I have NEVER said about a dealership. Honestly, I despise going to my local dealer. I wish I could have my vehicle repaired and maintained here every time.

If I would have had more time in the area, I would have taken this crew out for a round of drinks and dinner. That weekend had been one of the most stressful weekends I had in a long time and this dealership completely removed the stress from my shoulders.

I wish there were more service reps and technicians like the people at Wackerli.

I cannot thank you enough for your help. I wish you all the best.

We bought our Town and country min-van through Wackerli Auto in 2016 with that we also purchased Gap insurance through them also. We were recently in a car accident and totaled the vehicle. We are trying to file a claim with the gap insurance and Wackerli keeps giving us a run around acting like they don't know what we are talking about. Resulting Wackerli hanging up on us multiple times. All we wanted was the information we needed to file the Gap claim Wackerli sold us at the beginning of the sale. I will never buy from them again and they are horrible to work with them. All they care is about there next sale. I RECOMMEND NOT PURCHASING FROM WACKERLI ALL YOU GET IS A HEADACHE!!

Jason Haring was welcoming, enthusiastic and did whatever it took to make the sale. He and Chris explained all the features of our new car and Frank was very efficient with the paper work. This is the second car we have purchased from Wackerli!

William is very honest, and not a pushy salesman! If we had a question he would answer it or get the answer from his manager, Chris. We would definitely come back to Wackerli and buy another car or truck from William. Chris was very helpful too except for two items and those were the side steps and a rear view mirror that was broken, which should have been replaced! As for the truck side steps that we had picked out, different ones were installed! But we ended up liking the ones that were put in. So, all in all, we had a great experience, except for the broken mirror not being replaced. Thanks William for being so nice and helpful.

They were able to work with my schedule to make the sale fast and easy. Mike listened to me and helped me through the process. Frank in finance was very good too. They were fair on price of vehicle and on my trade. Thanks Wackerli GMC.

The worst car buying experience we have ever had. They said they would fix all the scratches and dings on the car we bought but even after bring it in multiple time never even touched half of them. There is a crack they were supposed to take care of that we now are having to get fixed ourselves. We got it in writing but they still didn t take care of it. On top of it Frank was down right rude, pushy and unfriendly. We reached out to the manager who was no help with getting it resolved. I would not recommend this group to anyone. Edit: Not that it should matter but the name we bought the car under was Sarah White

These guys are really great! Someone is right there when you walk in the door to ask if they can help you. The salesman was really nice and got us into the car we wanted to test drive right away. We took it out and fell in love. We went back a few weeks after that, deciding we wanted the vehicle. The salesman we test drove with wasn't there but another jumped right in to help us out. Their business manager was courteous and friendly and very helpful at getting us great financing. We were even provided a list of what the warranty doesn't cover so that we knew exactly what we were getting. I would definitely recommend these guys for a great buying experience.

Stopped in quick to look at a Buick Lacrosse. Pretty sure the lady that helped us had never even seen or driven a car much less sold one. Absolutely the worst experienced sales person I've ever encountered.

High pressure tactics, did not purchase from them. Bought the same vehicle in Rigby, saved $5,000.00.
After writing review, I received a message that they would like to address my issue. When I called to speak with that person I was told that the person listed as the general manager has not worked there for months...side note the truck that was in such HIGH DAMAND ...days ago was parked out front still for sale...I am very happy with my truck from Woody Smith Ford.

Wackerli auto does NOT, I repeat, DOES NOT fix their used inventory. Nor do they stand by their warranties. I went in and traded thee CLEANEST trade corvette for a Chevy truck that they obviously didn t even yo care to take a look at before they threw it on the previously used lot. I ve had 3 problems with the truck and haven t even owned it a year now. I paid for the anything wrong with it, you pay $50 warranty. They lied. I ve had three as I ve said. I paid more than $50. The 4th problem is a fuel line leak that... the warranty doesn t cover. I ve spoken to the head of the maintenance person several times. I ve told them I have the warranty that covers everything. They lied. It s not real. They re cheap. They ll take your trade for cheap and sell it for top dollar. I wouldn t send my worst enemy to this place because they would still make money.

Call me crazy, but I guess the wheel bearing that was out, left tail light harness that failed, and other problems were things taken care of before you sold it were just my imagination. And there is no point in fighting with you on warranty. I ve been back and forth and gave up... maybe it was stupid of me to take the man that sold me the warranty at his word when he said, Any problem. So forgive me if I don t think you actually did anything to my trade before selling it.

I've taken my car here multiple times and have never had a positive experience. If my car wasn't under warranty requiring a dealer to fix the car I would never go here again. the first problem I had I took the car in for an heater issue and they disassembled the entire engine which I did not request and held my car ransom until I paid the thousands of dollars they were requesting for the heater repair. the second time I had a problem I asked for an In-Warranty inspection. They refused to tell me how much the inspection would cost assuring me that the warranty would cover everything, my warranty company declined the problems they diagnosed so they wanted me to pay a diagnosis fee of $400. when I went in to complain they showed me the bill contract that showed the diagnosis fees on it, it had been altered AFTER they had given me my copy to add those charges in clearly indicating they didn't tell me the charges but still refuse to drop them. Very crooked dealership would never recommend to anyone!

I waited over 47 minutes for an appointment scheduled last week and still nothing was done to get my oil changed. Not even moved into a bay. No notice was given to me for a delay as I waited in the waiting area. Very disappointed and dissatisfied. Finally left and took my GMC to Smith's Chevrolet.

Jason H. called my husband out of the blue and asked if he was interested in updating his truck. Little did he know but my husband had been think of just that very thing for sometime. He went and looked at the new trucks and long story short we ended up trading in my Buick Enclave and getting both his new Sierra and myself the new Encore GX. Everyone was great and a big thumbs up to Jason and the Wackerli team.

The staff at Wackerli was great to work with in buy our GMC truck. Lexie L. answered everyone of our questions during and even after our purchase. She cared about accommodating our needs and our budget and not the sale. All went above and beyond.

I have multiple vehicles serviced here regularly and they always aim to please, from the mechanics all the way up to Mr. Wakerli. Recommend it highly. One of my vehicles is a 1985 Cadillac and they had to do extensive research to find several electronic assemblies that were not working. After replacing two of them, the new one would not work properly, they discovered a third (seemingly unrelated) assembly was feeding bad information to the first two. So they replaced the third unit then rechecked the first two original ones which now worked. So they reinstalled my original ones, returned the 2 replacements, and credited my bill for hundreds of dollars that I would not have known about if it wasn't for the integrity of this business and its employees.

I started at Wackerli GMC Cadillac Buick on May 11th 2020 and haven't stopped smiling since. The management is 2nd to none. Our Sales team is the friendliest group of professionals I've ever worked with. If you're looking for the best prices around on a New or Pre-Owned CAR/TRUCK/SUV come down and ask for Jason.

I recently purchased my first car at Wackerli and it was a very smooth and easy process. I began the process over the phone with Ethan, who was extremely fast and straightforward, which I appreciated. It made for a quick and painless negotiation, which I had not anticipated. Throughout the process, Ethan was kind, knowledgable, and helpful. Once I finally made it to the dealership, I appreciated the laid back attitude. Very different than other dealerships I've been to. Chris was also a great help, taking his time to ensure I was taken care of and happy with my new vehicle. Overall, a very positive first experience purchasing a car and very thankful to them for all of their help!

Run as fast as you can from this dealer. I should have realized the type of people I was working with judging from the exterior of the building. The people I dealt had a "I don't care" attitude. I had an issue with my vehicle on a road trip. When I came in the place seemed really unorganized and the people didn't seem to know what they were doing. I guess I really don't care to bring my vehicle back. I can't recommend this place to anyone.

Just as a disclaimer, this was the first time we ever considered buying a car online without test driving or seeing it in person. Naturally, we were nervous and cautious in paying for something, especially a car, without being able to "feel" it. William was reassuring and provided extra pictures and even video to help us throughout our purchase. Additionally, he provided us with a reputable and competitively priced auto transport company to transport our vehicle to our home state. Although he attempted to use the typical salesman techniques of "well someone else is on the lot looking at this car currently" (car had been on their lot for 30 days) and "I cannot hold the car for you," William was still professional. One of the reasons for the 4/5 stars is due to his repeated pushing of completing 4 separate 5 star reviews on Google and Facebook.

The other reason for subtracting the one star is due to the dealership forgetting to ship the car with the temporary license plate/tags. We had a camping trip planned the day after the car was delivered and needed our tow vehicle (the car that was purchased) to be legally on the road.

Overall, I'm pleasantly surprised of how nice the car is and how little dings and scratches it has for an 8+year old car.

Very nice staff but they will do everything to convince you your getting a car. If you don't have a down payment of at a least five thousand dollars or any equally priced trade in do not bother with them. I almost lost my job thinking that I was getting a car because they failed to mention oh we have too see if it can get financing. That made it seem like a sure thing.

JASON HARING is a ten star (*) sales person and Wackerli is lucky to have him! We are so impressed with his friendliness *...which is genuine. He welcomed us * the first time we met him; took time * to answer questions and this was AFTER closing hours when he was leaving work late as we were just cruising through the lot. He listens * and follows through *. He does his homework, researches and provides information * we asked about; he wasn't afraid to say "I don't know, but I will find out". He greatly reduced * our frustration of car shopping. Jason 'up sells' but does not over sell * he knows * his client. AND if there are any problems or issues he remains calm and provides a solution. Jason is a no-pressure, quality sales person*. When at Wackerli, talk with...work with...buy from Jason.

I have never been treated so poorly by a dealershi...

I have never been treated so poorly by a dealership or any company for that matter before in my life. I brought in my truck that I purchased there just over a year ago for a recall and after the work was done the technician backed my truck into a parked fork lift going fast enough to smash my rear bumper in causing damage to the bed and tailgate. After sitting down with multiple managers at Wackerli GMC I was basically told sorry we wrecked your truck but we ll send it into an auto body shop and pull everything back out and do some painting and blending and put on a new bumper. They told me my truck would be back to new with the repairs. Anyone knows that a vehicle after being wrecked is never new again and could always have future issues related to the accident present themselves further down the road. I let them know that body repairs would not bring my truck back to its prior state before they wrecked it and that something more needed to be done. I asked for either new parts to replace the damaged ones or some sort of an extended warranty through Wackerli to cover any future issues once the body work was completed due to the accident. I was told by the managers that they were unwilling to work with me on any warranty due to the accident or do anything in addition to what they had offered. Before the accident, I had been told to bring my truck in on trade and I gave them my payoff. They told me that they should be able to do that no problem and looked forward to getting me into a new truck. After the accident, I was offered $12,500 less on my truck for trade in. That's a lot of depreciated value in 2 days! I requested that Steven Wackerli the owner get involved in the situation since my family has been buying vehicles from him for over 20 years. He refused to even speak to me in person or over the phone and actually left the dealership so that he didn t have to deal with me. I was put in a loaner vehicle while the truck situation was being sorted out just to have one of their sales managers call me shortly after I left the dealership demanding that I bring back in the loaner or the police would be called and the vehicle reported stolen simply because they read my google review and it upset them. With wackerli trying to force me into a corner, I returned the vehicle and picked up my wrecked truck. After multiple very uneasy conversations with wackerli employees they agreed to have the work done on my truck at an auto body shop of my choosing. During the repairs to my truck I was provided with a loaner vehicle just like I would have been provided at no charge by an insurance company if we had gone that route. When the repairs to my truck were completed, I picked up the truck and returned the loaner vehicle. While at the dealership, I inquired about a part that had been ordered prior to the accident that was supposed to be installed under warranty. I was told that unless I removed my review online that wackerli would no longer do business with me and that the warranty work would not be done. Why wackerli decided to refuse to do business with me and tell me that the owner had instructed them to tell me that I am too much of a "LEGAL LIABILITY" and that they refused to do business with me is ridiculous. Just when wackerli was finally starting to save face even just a little bit they proved once again the kind of company they are. Feeling like I didn't have any other option, I removed my review but was not able to remove the 1 star. They did the warranty work and a day or two later wrote a rebuttal to my review. I asked that if I was going to be forced to remove my review that they should at least remove theirs. I was told that unless I changed my review to a 3 star or better that it would remain the same. I have never seen such horrible customer service and disregard for a customer especially from an owner of a business. I will never again purchase vehicles from Wackerli GMC and I will make sure that I let as many people as I can know how the owner and his employees at Wackerli GMC treat their customers!
