I have never been treated so poorly by a dealership or any company for that matter before in my life. I brought in my truck that I purchased there just over a year ago for a recall and after the work was done the technician backed my truck into a parked fork lift going fast enough to smash my rear bumper in causing damage to the bed and tailgate. After sitting down with multiple managers at Wackerli GMC I was basically told sorry we wrecked your truck but we ll send it into an auto body shop and pull everything back out and do some painting and blending and put on a new bumper. They told me my truck would be back to new with the repairs. Anyone knows that a vehicle after being wrecked is never new again and could always have future issues related to the accident present themselves further down the road. I let them know that body repairs would not bring my truck back to its prior state before they wrecked it and that something more needed to be done. I asked for either new parts to replace the damaged ones or some sort of an extended warranty through Wackerli to cover any future issues once the body work was completed due to the accident. I was told by the managers that they were unwilling to work with me on any warranty due to the accident or do anything in addition to what they had offered. Before the accident, I had been told to bring my truck in on trade and I gave them my payoff. They told me that they should be able to do that no problem and looked forward to getting me into a new truck. After the accident, I was offered $12,500 less on my truck for trade in. That's a lot of depreciated value in 2 days! I requested that Steven Wackerli the owner get involved in the situation since my family has been buying vehicles from him for over 20 years. He refused to even speak to me in person or over the phone and actually left the dealership so that he didn t have to deal with me. I was put in a loaner vehicle while the truck situation was being sorted out just to have one of their sales managers call me shortly after I left the dealership demanding that I bring back in the loaner or the police would be called and the vehicle reported stolen simply because they read my google review and it upset them. With wackerli trying to force me into a corner, I returned the vehicle and picked up my wrecked truck. After multiple very uneasy conversations with wackerli employees they agreed to have the work done on my truck at an auto body shop of my choosing. During the repairs to my truck I was provided with a loaner vehicle just like I would have been provided at no charge by an insurance company if we had gone that route. When the repairs to my truck were completed, I picked up the truck and returned the loaner vehicle. While at the dealership, I inquired about a part that had been ordered prior to the accident that was supposed to be installed under warranty. I was told that unless I removed my review online that wackerli would no longer do business with me and that the warranty work would not be done. Why wackerli decided to refuse to do business with me and tell me that the owner had instructed them to tell me that I am too much of a "LEGAL LIABILITY" and that they refused to do business with me is ridiculous. Just when wackerli was finally starting to save face even just a little bit they proved once again the kind of company they are. Feeling like I didn't have any other option, I removed my review but was not able to remove the 1 star. They did the warranty work and a day or two later wrote a rebuttal to my review. I asked that if I was going to be forced to remove my review that they should at least remove theirs. I was told that unless I changed my review to a 3 star or better that it would remain the same. I have never seen such horrible customer service and disregard for a customer especially from an owner of a business. I will never again purchase vehicles from Wackerli GMC and I will make sure that I let as many people as I can know how the owner and his employees at Wackerli GMC treat their customers!
