Absolutely perfect, I came for the evening of Wednesday evening, Zocodisco, very nice home, bar shooter, good cocktails, and especially very good music, and small surprise live and dancer, in short a remake for winter Wednesdays

Spent a week at the W and enjoyed it immensely. The hotel (and rooms) are small but that is par for the course in a city like Paris. Room was charmingly appointed. Love the hot shower & Bliss toiletries. Staff was warm, helpful, courteous and gave us great advice. Convenient location near the Opera and with restaurants and shopping nearby. A nice walk to the Louvre. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

The W Paris Opera is the third W hotel I have stayed in recently, and while smaller than other locations (only five floors) including Santiago, New York and London it delivers on the brands' promise of modern independent cool. It is located next to the Apple Store and walking distance from Galeries Lafayette in the Opera district. While checking in I was offered sparkling water and a coffee which was a nice touch. The W features a lounge and restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner) that are smartly designed and attract many locals and tourists looking for a quiet, trendy spot to meet. On the fifth floor there is a very small gym that features two treadmill machines, one cycling machine and a bench with weights. The breakfast, at 33 Euros a person, was a slight disappointment given the limited variety of the buffet, offering staples such as yogurt, pastries, cold cuts, cereal and fresh fruit. Having selected a standard room with a queen bed I was pleasantly surprised at the size, including a large wardrobe, large TV and very comfortable bed. The bathroom featured a separate toilet room and a comfy modern shower room. As expected the amenities provided where many including bathrobes and a very complete bar. The entertainment center did not feature any on demand movies but it makes sense given the extraordinary connectivity options provided. The service, while not fast, was warm and candid. All in the W Paris Opera delivers a unique personal experience that adds to the "je ne sais quoi" of Paris.

Very nice hotel, located centrally in Paris. Louvre is at walking distance. We got an upgrade from cozy to wonderful room. We noticed cigarette smell in our room, staff handled it very well and arranged a new (fresh!) room for us. 10/10 would recommend.

Room was clean, warm and comfortable and staff were professional and welcoming. So why only three stars? The place feels like a slightly tacky nightclub; red lights and house music in the lift, all black decor with spot lighting in the toilet, and bizarre design choices in the room that make basic tasks like washing ones face a chore. The iphone charger in the room was broken and the alarm/music dock used the old style connector so if you have an iphone 5 or above you're out of luck.

Perhaps as I approach middle age my tolerance for "funkiness" is rapidly diminishing, but I'd really prefer function over form when it comes to the basics. That being said, I can't really fault the overall quality of the hotel and if you're looking for something snazzy and have money to burn then it's probably a good pick.

Great location with super friendly staff and champagne and jelly sweets on arrival, nice.
Initially looks trendy and high quality, but soon notice the worn decor and general lack of maintenance, giving a feeling similar to a tacky night club without the sticky floors. Also the bar closes at 11:30.

Room issues:
1.No access to juliet balcony to really enjoy view of palais,
2.No free WiFi,
3.USB phone charger cable broken,
4.Stereo only supports iPhone 4 or below,
5.Headboard was ripped,
6.Panel missing from bathroom unit exposing mains sockets,
7.Safe battery needed replacing,
8.Buffet breakfast costs 38!

Above all I'm afraid to say this hotel doesn't give the "W feeling" like London or Barcelona.

Needless to say we won't be visiting again or recommend to others.

It was OK. We did not get upgraded so I can only report on an average King room. It's tight (expected), but oddly so. Their mini-bar tray consumes one of the only flat surfaces in the room, and otherwise there is no room around the sink for any toiletries. The lighting system is really dumb. You cannot turn on only the loo without illuminating the entire room - pretty rude in the middle of the night. The windows are not soundproofed - street noise (and one screaming nut case) were disturbing. Room service prompt and organized. Concierge gave good dining recommendations, but I suggest you do your own searches - find places to match your preferences. I found some incredible dining within easy walking. One caution: early morning -pre-arranged taxi failed two mornings in a row. Otherwise, normal taxi help was fin.

Been a Marriott Member for 10+ years and timeshare owner as well. I would say this is one of worst stay we been to. This location needs some major reno and TLC. For the rank and rating this hotel is advertised, it is not up to par and the pricing is not worth it. (-1 star). Room is small, can't complain about that since it is in Paris, it's like NYC. But the issue is that the room smells bad, carpet is old, shower door doesn't close properly (-1 star). Room service menu is outdated and pricing was wrong so when the bill came...they had a hard time honoring the price mistakes but eventually did. There was one night when there was a party on the first floor, the music and smoke came all the way to my floor. We can hear the music and feel the vibrations. This did not end till around 2am. Lobby wasn't able to do anything about it, since they booked the venue. (-2 stars). A hotel is meant for a nice experience and a restful sleep at the minimum. Not worthy of the Marriott brand. Kudos for the folks who tried their best. The concierge helped made a restaurant reservation even though it was full online (+1 star). I won't be coming to this place.

There are some unfriendly and racist employees. Service is also worst. No amenity has been filled in during the stay. Pitch. I will not go again. We stayed in a good location and w name, but very disappointing

An unforgettable evening in a chic and trendy place. The friendly service greets you with sweetness, the cocktails are superbly prepared and delicious, the soft light makes it the perfect place for your dates ;-)

Amazing customer service. Everyone from the person tat the door to the reception ladies were well trained to make sure our stay was as best as possible. They truly understand what excellent customer service means. No matter what we asked for they found a way to say yes. The friendly service continued at the breakfast area every day. I am definitely not one to be impressed easily but I must admit the staff at the W Paris exceeded my expectations in every way. As to the location of the hotel.... you can not ask for better. Many sites were within walking distance and public transportation is steps away. Very convenient. We will definitely stay here next time we visit Paris.

I must admit that this W represents the idea of a quality, sort of large size boutique hotel. I got immediately upgraded to a mega suite with nice views of the Opera Garnier. First and foremost, their rooms are full of space and nice attention to detail. Another nice detail is their great room service (yes, you can order food from their Sergi Arola restaurant). Their staff, though young, managed to give me quite good tips about some places where I wanted to eat and do some shopping. The only but, important for me, was the gym, which is rather small and the lack of a proper spa.

2/5 because

2/5 because

- dirty/damages carpet!
- damaged walls in room and toilet
- small rooms
- no sauna/spa
- tiny gym
- No eggs Benedict for breakfast!
- outdated TV/Speaker (iPhone 4 socket and cheap)
- no proper hotel lobby, stuck onto the side of an apple store

On the plus side it's still a great hotel with great service but for the price it is well below expectations. Comparing with W in Amsterdam this is nowhere near!

Good atmosphere, friendly staff, lounge downstairs with cheese and drink selection. However was not able to find good food in hotel in the evening. Mostly sandwiches.
Overall, good impression and very decent view from room window to Opera house.

Very nice place where you can spend one or more nights like just going to have lunch and / or have a few drinks. Professional meeting place also, it is very interesting because of its geographical situation. Underground parking is right outside the hotel.
In short a nice place where it is nice to meet.

Nice and small hotel close to several metro, opera and lafite commercial centers ... Very nice staff, delicious breakfast buffet, eggs on request, different types and the same buffet at no extra cost and serving light drinks and croissants at reception all day

Wow. Loved the stay at suits overlooking the Opera. Worth the money. The staff and their service is excellent. You feel Paris in the room style. Close to the my favorite shopping heaven Galleries Lafayette.

Good location, close to shopping and sightseeing, small rooms but cost-effective, modern style, clean, fresh air. The staff is very nice and willing to help. The bar and restaurant are good, and I stayed here for a week in April.

Not exactly my style, too flashy and loud for me, but it s also kind of fun. The suites are comfortable. The hotel in general is comfortable, convenient in terms of location and the service is quite alright. Breakfast is typical average hotel breakfast.

It s hard to get disappointed with a W Hotel and this one not only is not an exception but exceeded my expectations by far. The food was amazing, the staff is just awesome and very friendly. Our suite was incredible and the decor all over was fascinating. I would go back without any hesitation at all.

Another W! High standard, keep going and high pace. They were able to turn down the volume a bit on the music in the lounge, especially on a Monday night. But a W is a W with all that means of design and fun details!

Low value for money (paid just above 600 euros per night). Very small room (even with W standards). Really bad "gym" / fitness center, a few bicycles and one low weight set. Cleaning of the room after the first night was made at 5pm just as we had returned to the hotel to freshen up for dinner. Another day, I asked for a fresh up while we were out in the evening (making the bed more or less) which would of course be done, the front desk replied - but it wasn't when we returned 5 hours later. Also, asked for some extra bottles of water which was met with a "yes of course" and 20 minutes later, still no water. Called again and still no water after waiting 15 minutes so we gave up and went out and bought water.

All in all, avoid W Paris and spend the money elsewhere.

Ok

I can not judge the hotel because I'm not staying, however, I spent an evening at the Lounge W (Bar Hotel) absolutely extraordinary. The service people are lovely, helpful, smiling and available, the atmosphere is very warm and the cocktails absolutely delicious! Well, after it is me who, exceptionally, was bartender so it is normal that the cocktails are good! ;) In any case, it's very nice and the terrace is very nice. NB: I ask you to ask Bruno a little Flair show, it's amazing!

My comment is only about the bar / terrace open in summer

The atmosphere is nice, we note the effort on the decor
The service at the table is good too, the waiters are nice

On the side dishes, there is little choice and so to speak no card cocktails (only spritz); similarly, if the dishes are good, we will note the very small quantities both on the boards and on the tapas

It's trendy, modern and classy. A very design place. It has just been renovated so a nice setting. Located right next to the Opera House, they serve us great homemade cocktails! They have very high prices but it's worth it. The kind of place where we go to make it happy but not often, the stock market does not allow it.
