VOLT® Lighting Review

This was my second install of landscape lighting using Volt fixtures. I will never purchase landscape lighting fixtures anywhere else! Volt has the fastest delivery and they stand by their product. I have contacted them to replace to bulbs thtat burned out and a photoelectric cell that stopped working. All of the items were replaced within 2 days and at no charge to me. Service and quality are the reasons why I will always go with Volt.

I ordered these lights and slimline transformer sight unseen but their quality is better than expected. Easy to install. Volt CS is very attentive, knowledgeable and easy to work with. A top notch product and great experience.

Volt lighting products are extremely well made. The wiring, transformer, hubs and all connectors accessories are the best the industry has to offer.

Order arrived complete and on time. Volt's products are always high quality and these were no exception. The new silicone filled connectors really made hooking the system up easy. Also like the improved connector block on the transformer. Being able to select LED bulbs of warmer color range and lower wattage is also a plus. Great set, highly recommend!

Very high quality product; much better than anything in a big box store. I used a total of 11 spot lights combination of Big Dog and Fat Boy with two 150 W transformers due to spread out nature of the layout. Big Dogs are more robust than Fat Boy, but the latter are still adequate. In a belt and suspenders approach, i buried the wire in waterproof conduit and connectors in water proof junction boxes, just because. That also gives me more peace of mind for inadvertent wire cuts years down the road.

Great products, good prices, but best of all, amazing customer service! Had some path light glass break in a deep freeze several years after purchasing, and Volt Lighting shipped me out replacements at no charge and without question. Will buy from again for sure!

Outstanding products at the best prices. I installed Kohler brass lighting in our home when I built it and decided to try Volt for new lighting projects as our landscaping expanded. Volt lights are equal or better quality and have more features than my old lights at quarter of the price. They ship most things I order on the same day and customer service has been friendly and available to answer any questions I have had. Volt is my first and only choice for outdoor lighting.

Excellent products and just as important, excellent customer service. I have never worked with a product supplier that gets my orders shipped within a few hours of ordering.

Great looking lights and I'm a big fan of the wiring Hubs, much better than the numerous in ground "Waterproof" systems that never are quite waterproof. They look like they will last for a long time and the Brass ages much better than the Black.

I absolutely LOVE my VOLT Lighting...and have already referred my family and friends to purchase their outdoor lights from VOLT Lighting. I also also very proud of installing out outdoor lights myself with the help of VOLT's instructional videos. My only one complaint would be regarding VOLT's no return/exchange policy, particularly given that you never know when a lighting product may not be the best solution given your unique environment. But other than this...I'm 100% a VOLT Lighting fan!

The high bay lighting we purchased works great and has really lit up our shop! One of the fixtures malfunctioned, and customer service approved a return and sent us a replacement quickly with little hassle. Once they received the return, our account was credited with a refund.

The products are top-of-line, professional equipment. I ordered a kit and it came with even more than I needed to install walkway lights at my home. I had an electrician do the install and he was also impressed with the quality and ease of installation. I highly recommend Volt for landscape lighting.

The Volt website is loaded with very useful information regarding both LED's themselves as well as "lightscape" planning. That together with very reasonable prices makes Volt, in my opinion, the only place to shop for outdoor LEDs.

Our neighbor put Volt lighting in and we were so impressed we asked him about it. We purchased ours a few months ago and upon our neighbors recommendation, (he paid someone to install his first round but installed his own in the backyard) we installed them ourselves. It was not a hard job at all, the layout and adjustments to light position were the hardest part. We have only installed the ones around the house and have not tackled the areas away from the house yet. Those areas may be a little harder considering we can't cover the wire up with just mulch. :). I think it looks wonderful! And with the money we saved by installing them ourselves we were able to get more lights. We love the way Volt has provided us with added security and not to mention beauty to the house we love. Thanks Volt!

Great products and great information on the website. I used their online videos to get instruction on how to install all of my lighting equipment. I used Home Depot/Lowe's lighting on my past house and the average life of a bulb was about 1 year (in Florida). Looking forward to not spending my weekends buying new bulbs and fixing my lights!

I was very pleased to work with Volt. The customer service team was quick to answer any questions I had and to assist with purchasing the proper transformers and lights to make our yard look beautiful. Everything we viewed online not only had great product specs but also had a video to show you how to install the lighting properly. Purchased down lights for a new patio. They are very well made, installation was simple and the look is exactly what we wanted. I would have given 5 stars except one light shorted out. I was able to remove the light assembly and place electrical tape on the damaged wiring. This may have been caused by sharp metal edges within the assembly.

Purchased a spot light to add to my system. The process was easy, the item arrived quickly and is very high quality.

I have made 2 purchases. Overall I am happy. I did install one light that worked when installed and then died after I placed the concrete cap on my wall. I had to remove the cap only to lear there was a bad Led. Unfortunately the light was discarded and I have since purchased another.

The 2 sets we purchased changed the appearance of our landscape so much!! Easy to install as long as you follow the directions. Beautiful after pictures!

I LOVE the product! It is everything I hoped for. BUT, I had one problem: the timer, which is the one that adjusts for DST etc. is very difficult to set up, mainly because the instructions are a little confusing, have such tiny print and the device has such tiny display characters. I had to call for support to get it programmed correctly. It reminded me of other products "made in China" which never translate well. Now, I don't know for sure that it was made in China, but my guess is that it was. Please clear up the instructions so an average person can actually READ it. Otherwise, I love your product. I will definitely purchase additional items.

I have purchased and installed 3 Volt landscape kits around my backyard pool over the past 2 years. Their hub system makes installation a breeze. Volt's lights are super high quality. Their customer service is also excellent. I did have a problem with a couple of lights 2 years after installation. They replaced them immediately. I highly recommend this company and their products.

Bought a 300 Watt LED transformer to replace old unit. Excellent device so far. Talked to Volt a couple times to get right unit. ALWAYS very professional and helpful.

The flood likes are working as expected. The bulbs for the grass path and area lights are not working as expected. They periodically turn off and then back on. About half of them act in this fashion and they turn back on in a relatively predictable time frame of about 12 to 15 seconds. I have checked all the connections and I can still not figure out why this is happening. Would appreciate any assistance you can provide on how to resolve. We are purchased another set from Costco to install in our Beach House and I'm hoping that I do not have a similar problem. Look forward to your response.

I am very happy with quality of the lights that I purchased. The price is more than what the big box store sell lights for but the Volt lights will out last those by at least 20 years. I would recommend the Volt lights to anyone

Great product and better customer service! I purchased my landscape lights over 4 years ago. After daily use, my transformer died. I called Volt expecting them to find a loophole in the Lifetime Guarantee offered on the transformer. Nope. I told them what the problem was and they immediately sent me a UPS return label. I dropped the box off at a UPS store at 5pm and two days later I had a brand new transformer (an upgraded model) delivered to my door. We get so used to companies trying to rip us off, it's refreshing when a company does what they say they do. Thank you Sean & James! Thank you Volt!

I'm thrilled with Volt's customer service and warranty. Great customer service started with my phone call; a real person answered the phone and sincerely wanted to help. I had to send back the transformer because the light sensor stopped working. I worried I would have to wait several weeks to get the new or repaired transformer. Volt provided a mailing label, making it very easy to send back. I received an email the following day that they had received the unit and would be sending another unit the following day. I got my new transformer in 5 days.

Lighting fixtures are high quality, comparable to brand name landscape lighting products. Prices are a 3rd to a half less than the branded products, without compromising on quality.

Im not sure how they do it and maintain a profitable margin... firstly, have experienced Kichler for indoor and outdoor lighting. My frame of reference is as a Kichler customer. I was not satisfied with Kichler for quality, packaging and certainly not cost.
Volt has exceeded my expectations on above 3 and... add in unrivaled customer support. Volt's packaging is comparable to Apple's standard if Apple were in this industry. Quality of products is better than any American made product... heavy, solid, well-machined and exceptional attention to detail. The cost is 1/4th the cost of competitor...! I needed customer support because i broke a glass globe. They shipped 2 replacements, no-charge 2-day.
All shipments received very quickly. Accuracy of each shipment was 100% accurate.
I called the company to see how I could invest... they are privately held :(
I would buy a piece of this company if it was possible just to see how they do it. God I hope this company maintains its strategy and overwhelming dedication to its mission! They will be the Apple of the lighting industry

Order a Copper set of walk way lignting and installed a few days after receiving. Next day it rained and every light was stained. Even the lamp posts showed signs of staining. Called Volt customer service and was informed this is a natural patina. Nothing stains after one rain. So Disappointed.

The quality of the outdoor Volt lighting that I ordered is excellent, particularly for the reasonable price point (in comparison to lighting stores and big-box hardware stores in my area). I like the styling and the functionality of our new backyard lights. I bought a lighting kit for my front yard because my wife has been wanting/talking about uplighting for the front. For years we have been using solar powered accent lights scattered throughout the front area but never seem to last long at all. I wanted a quality system and that is what I received from Volt. The materials are built durable, robust, and with quality in mind. I did have to buy extra power lines but that was to be expected as the kit was just a starter kit and totally depends on how far apart the lights will be ect... I will definitely buy from Volt in the future because they have a quality product that is built to last!!

These landscape lights are awesome! I ordered 2 to try and then ordered 17 more to completely redo my entire yard. Wish I had found Volt and done this sooner. Compliments from my neighbors confirm that I was right in doing this.

Great products. I was not sure what to buy. I called and found them to be very friendly and helpful. No sales pressure. I went on their site and ordered what I needed. I installed myself. It looks great. Much nicer transformer than I could have gotten at lowes or amazon. Good job guys!

VOLT lighting saved me almost $10k! I had local companies quote me to install my outdoor lighting in the front and back of my house around the pool. They quoted me $12k. I googled and found Volt Lighting. The reviews and the DIY videos were easy to follow. I paid $2200 for my light fixtures at Volt Lighting and the lights look phenomenal. Even one of the company's that quoted me came out to see them and were amazed at the quality of the light fixtures. If I can update this post later I'll add pictures.

Products and Customer Support are top notch. Prices are a little high for things that are cheaper when used inside your home or in your car for example. (like LED lights). Shipping is way too high, Return policy is a little disappointing.

First attempt at landscape lighting and I love the results! Only regret is I should have talked to the Volt experts to make sure I got the correct lights for my application but it worked out. Lights are great quality and look great! Easy to install and the kit provided everything I needed to make this a successful experience. I plan to add more Volt lights later.

In my opinion, Volt products are top quality. There are a lot of products on the market (Amazon), many of which work well, but they don't exude the quality of Volt. If you want to show-off and be proud of you installation, use Volt. The appreciation of quality remains long after the pain of the higher price wears off!

The Fat boy kit was a Christmas gift for my mother in law and I installed Christmas eve day.
All went well except when it was time to install the bulbs.
The lens cover was very difficult to remove and after the bulb was installed, the O ring would not allow for proper reinstall of the lens cover.
It seemed that the O ring was to large and would not fit between lens cap and body of the lamp.
I was going to call you and ask you to send new O rings

I bought pathway lights and it is a good quality but these lights are not cheap. They are cheaper than brand name lighting.
Customer service is also very good. I had a broken glass cover which was promptly replaced.
Do not buy plastic stakes - use metal stakes even though they are costly.
