Make sure before buying a used vehicle from them. Need all services done correctly. I bought 2016 model car from them. At the time they told me that they have done all the breaks checked. The rear breaks were good and they have replaced the front ones and they have done the wheel alignment but no they didn't have done the wheel alignment which after a very short period later not even drove 8'000 miles on my rear tires treads went lower then the front ones because of the wheel alignment wasn't good. And the breaks Pads were not good just after 4'000 miles after buying car from them. They told me these items were done but they lied. And one more thing always see car in daylight hours which I made mistake looking my car at this place in early night hours and bought it from them. Because this 2016 car had a lot of scratches On a Front hood and all around the car.

Kacper was our Sales Person person and he was amazing he helped my husband get a great deal and even drove two hours to get the car he wanted. When I was looking at an Atlas he answered my questions via text even when he wasn't working and on top of that he really knows the cars. If you want a VW go see Kacper. We went to many dealers and no one compares!

I worked with Jason and he was the best! He worked with me and got me the price I wanted and he was more than transparent. The deal was easy as it could've been and I couldn't have asked for better service. It was a truly a pleasure to work with him.

Jack Daniels Motors is the definition of what a car dealership experience is supposed to be like. Amazing experience from enter to exit with my pre owned car! 1000 stars! We had visited many other dealers trying to trade in my old car. Dealers were low balling us and being plain rude. Decided to try Jack Daniels after we called and spoke to Justin who was pretty friendly on the phone. Roland was very kind and professional. Don, the general manager, worked above and beyond to help us get on our merry way! I can t say enough praise here! They all deserve a raise, promotion, and a free vacation! Very very very good! Come here and you will not be disappointed! In fact, you will be jumping for joy!

As they have every time, Jack Daniels Service goes above and beyond all expectations. Courteous, efficient, thorough and classy, the whole experience defines what service should be. Thank you, JD!!

Chris De La Cruz was very helpful and professional. I told him what I wanted and what I could afford. Came there to look at the 2017 passat and left the dealership with the 2017 jetta. I got everything I wanted in a car and for great price.

Kevin did a great job and finding the right car for my needs. He spent over 2 hours just test driving and making sure the feedback I gave him produce the right product, which it did. I was so pleased with his and the staff s effort that I brought them some empanadas from a local shop when I picked the car up! I would definitely recommend this dealership and ask for Kevin. He definitely takes the time to listen to your needs and works with you at reaching a good price.

Update: It's been over 6 months and I've still not received a spare key for the car that I leased. Originally, I was told I'd get it in a couple of weeks. I tried contacting two separate managers on two separate occasions and got absolutely zero response. My salesperson, Jason Ku, has also failed to follow-up on this complete lack of care, even after I've contacted him on several occasions. It seems pretty simple to me...once you roll out of that lot with a car, this place no longer cares about you. At all.

Very, very bad dealership.

Very, very bad dealership.

Well, in the beginning it was not that bad. In the end of 2012 I was looking to buy a certified pre owned car. Since Jack Daniels had a car I was interested in, I decided to buy it. The one additional star I added is for Nick, who was really helpful along the process. I had some trouble with getting a proper ID from a DMV so I could register the car and he was really helpful - he used his private time to help me do everything so that I could buy the car as soon as possible. The car itself was ok - as far as I knew at this point - so after some time I was a happy owner of a VW CC.

Now for the bad part. Within just a couple of months I had to go to a dealership because check engine light came up. After checking in my local dealer (not Jack Daniels) I was told it was something with the oil. After some time it turned out the service department could not remove a screw to change oil because it had no sides on its head. Somebody in the past much have done something strange to this bolt and it ended up being round. They told me they need to change the whole thing that had the bolt in and it would cost $700. I told them that this is a Certified Pre Owned car and it probably be changed under warranty. They told me no, and that I should call the previous dealership, where I got the car, to ask what was going on with the car and if they will refund it to me.

That's what I did. I called Nick, the salesman and asked why he never told me about this. He sounded concerned and told me that he would talk to the management to see if they could refund this. He called me back after some time saying that manager did not agree to pay money back to me because IT WAS ME WHO MUST HAVE DONE SOMETHING WITH IT - THEY WOULD NOT BREAK THE BOLT LIKE THIS. So basically I was told it is my fault that it looks like it looks.

I never even touched it. I was driving the car for couple of weeks and that's it. Guys at my local dealership said it was just a result of a very bad person who was inexperienced.

Needless to say I ended up paying for this. I even tried contacting Jack Daniels a couple more times but at one point they just stopped answering my phone number. Very unprofessional. There is a ton of dealerships around - try looking for something else. Don't come here because you will probably be robbed like I was. And to think it was a CERTIFIED PRE OWNED car. Yeah, to some extent...

I can't prove what I believe happened here, so I'll be objective and let the reader decide.

I came in, had an appointment, but wound up waiting a while. Was shown the car I called about, and thought it was good, but there was a check engine light on. Sales guy said he could erase it, but I asked to see what the code was, in case it was a serious fault. When I spoke to my original sales person (who wasn't there at the time because he was handling another sale) I asked him to put the car in better light because it was dark out. I then saw that the car was hit by something on the drivers side front bumper; paint was badly scratched, headlight had a crack in it, and the clips for the bumper were broken, so the bumper was disconnected from the rest of the body. When I originally called, no one mentioned the car was hit, and their website pictures were kinda blurry so I couldn't see the damage in the online photos. Sales person said he could have it fixed and I could get a loaner in the meantime. I said I had to think about it. Sales guy said it was just body damage and he could have it fixed, or I could take the car like that and get maybe $100 off the price. Said I had to think about it. Sales guy said I should talk to his boss. Ok. Sales guy's boss said I could sign tonight, bring it back to get fixed, and be given a loaner. I said it was too complicated. Sales guy said I would have to come back anyway since it was 6PM and they were closing. I said if they were making a deal they would stay open, like any other dealer would. Sales guy said the damage was just cosmetic. I said I would need it to be checked for any issues. Sales guy said he could have his service guys look at it and I said I wanted my own guy to check. Nowadays, even a small tap on a car can leave it with electrical issues, fluid leaks, misaligned mounts, and to reiterate, the check engine light was on. All of these were concerns that made me not want the car, so I decided to leave. Sales guy wanted to still do a deal but I wanted to go. Sales guy's boss shook my hand, squeezed too hard, looked me in the eye, and said something like "have a good night." Sales woman contacted me after I left to see if they could have made the experience better. I said I needed to think about it.

Considering the other reviews on here, I thought about it, and decided not to go forward.

My wife and I visited Jack Daniels Volkswagen on 01/18/2015 to get my second VW after unfortunately totaling my 2013 Jetta. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a smile by Katelyn the receptionist. John Guarnieri was the salesman who helped us through the car buying process. He listened to all our concerns and requests, we initially had planned to get Tiguan, we quickly realized that the model wasn't gonna work out for us. Thats when the expertise as a salesman came to surface. John suggested a Passat SE TSI, we drove it and quickly realized that it was the car for us. I cannot emphasize enough how pivotal it was to have the right people there to close the deal, John and the rest of the staff treated us with so much respect. Towards the end of the deal the General manager Tom Baldassari came out to ensure we will get the price we were looking to pay and after about 2 and a half (total) hours we got a better deal then we expected. In the last couple of days we have received calls from John to follow up and make sure we are happy with the car. I have to say that they have gone above and beyond to make sure i got back to Jack Daniels for my next Lease/ Purchase.

I went to Jack Daniels Volkswagen after visiting a local car dealership where I had a bad experience. The contrast between these two places was night & day. At Jack Daniels I was not pressured at all. On two separate occasions I worked with Mentor and Blendi. Both were helpful and knowledgeable and I would recommend this place to anyone looking to purchase a VW.

Not a fan of the VW dealer. Over priced Scott who We've had as are salesman before, Unless his family owns the Dealership. No bargain's here. I had better sales help at the Porsche dealer on Route 17 South in upper saddle River better than I had a Volkswagen.

By far biggest joke of a car dealership with no un...

By far biggest joke of a car dealership with no understanding of NJ Inspection laws...I unfortunately recently bought a 2017 Volkswagen Jetta, it was a pre owned car from Ohio, according to the car fax. Therefore I needed a new, New Jersey inspection sticker. When I picked up the car it did not have a sticker in the window, but I drove the car off the lot. I paid almost $400 for a detail and pick up preparations, but unfortunately, either the detail guy is blind or they accept poor quality work . I now know they don t have high standards in preparing a car for pick up, with multiple stains and minor scratches in the paint that they missed, I brought my car back to the service center to look at a clutch problem, a full service because the oil was black and the service reminder light was on, even though they said they serviced it, and to actually get it detailed to my standards. The car was in the shop for a little under a month during that time. So to conclude, as everyone knows inspection stickers go in the drivers side bottom corner of the windshield, so after cleaning it, which I assume they cleaned the windshield, they still did not put a new inspection sticker in the window or even have the attention to detail to notice there is no sticker in the window. I was pulled over into a inspection checkpoint on Hackensack Ave in Hackensack after picking up the car and received a $130 ticket for failure to have an inspection sticker. I spoke with multiple police officers and inspectors while I was pulled over and every person said to bring your ticket right to the dealer it is 100% there fault for letting a pre owned car go off the lot with no sticker. When I called multiple people at the dealer no one was any help like normal, but one individual, said that they offered to mail the sticker, which is highly illegal and could put jack Daniels at risk of losing there inspection license. Jack Daniels did not pay my ticket and I pleaded guilty to the charge and paid my ticket. To close my statement/review out, Jack Daniels Volkswagen just lost a family of Volkswagen cars to Joe Heidt VW on RT 17 because of the sales and service departments lack of competence. If they forgot to put an inspection sticker in the window of my car, what will they forget to do to your vehicle that could potentially cause safety hazards or even DEATH like forgetting to tighten a wheel. I understand this is partly my fault because I should have gotten an inspection, but with my job I travel a lot and don t have time to get to the inspection station or the dealer before they close on Monday-Friday. Thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope you don t buy or lease a car from Jack Daniels because I know I never will again. My salesman Kacper was one of the best salesmen I have worked with and has tried to help me as much as he could.

I recently purchased a 2018 VW Tiguan from Joe Heidt VW. Prior to going to Heidt I experienced an extreme amount of frustration from Jack Daniels VW in Fair Lawn, NJ. Jack Daniels wanted to drive my car 300+ miles from another dealership to sell me the car and basically made no semblance of an attempt to go through the channels of getting a model from the factory. After about 2 weeks of me having to constantly reach out to the sales person and the business manager, they still couldn't tell me where the car was coming from, how much it would cost me, and when I was getting it. They made me feel as though I was pestering so that I could buy a car from them. INSANE! Well, one night driving home from work, I stopped by Joe Heidt just so that I could take a look at the Tiguan and make sure I made the right decision in terms of the car. That night, I met a salesman who came up and greeted me and if there was anything I needed. I explained to him my situation with Jack Daniels. To make a long story short, within 24 hrs..... I REPEAT, 24 HOURS! I received the VIN number for the exact car I wanted AND it was coming from the factory. I wasted a lot of time here. Not only that, I was told that there was a Chip for the particular car that I wanted that would add about 150 hp to the car..... I come to find out that that isn't true and it would actually break the warranty on the car. I talked to other people I knew who went here, and they say the same. Never going back here. Not even for service.

this bad service, the operator of customer service sucks. I called in two days ago and asked for a loaner car because i have to do 70000 mile service and brake check. They promised me appt and car but when I called in today another operator said no loaner car available!!!! If you can;t make it, don't give any word!! Fortunately I called in before I come rather than drive there and be told no way. LOL, I will never do service in this site again.

It's always a great day at Jack Daniel VW!

It's always a great day at Jack Daniel VW!
I've financed my car with JD VW for over 3 years now and have had to come for miscellaneous check-ups and often many tire + wheel damage instances due to NJ highways in which every single time they provide professional services and have a super friendly experience. They've always provided me with a loaner vehicle if I need to drop off my car - if not, they have wifi amenities, comfortable couches (and cars) to sit in. Coffee, drinks and even bagels and sandwiches are on the house. They are honest and straightforward with your car - They will never perform any work without authorizations from the customer. Overall excellent experience, my next car will be with the Jack Daniel's team hands-down!

Went to check out the 2017 GTI.
Walked out with said GTI.
Vern was of great help. Unlike other car salesman I've met in the past, Vern didn't come off as a "salesman" trying to make me purchase items I didn't want. Very down to earth and easy to talk to.
Got me a good price within the range of what I was looking to pay monthly.

Great to get my 2017 gti here but I was not too happy when I received the car with no GPS like I was told it would be in the car. I like the android car play but his answer wa well at least yiu can use this .. wrong answer .. also wish I was told about the option for more safety for the car the $500 option would have been payed by me if it was explained to me .. oh well what can I do now ... now I know better

Now I see that someone from Jack Daniels said they're going to look into it I haven't got any message, email or phone about what they could do for me after whet I wrote.. Ok I guess not...!!?

I was between Jack Daniels GTI and another down near the jersey shore. The one that was near the shore was a little cheaper with less miles but after reading the reviews online, I figured I would stop into Jack Daniels first. Kevin greeted me when I first walked in. I was telling him I wanted to get the GTI that was on the website for my sons 17th birthday. Test drove the car and it was perfect. Literally mechanically and physically it was perfect. We sat down to negotiate and I didn t expect them to match the other car but I wanted a very similar savings. Well it wasn t close to my number at all but I m glad we can meet just a little more than halfway. Love the experience with Kevin and JDVW

I had a really great experience buying my VW Jetta at Jack Daniels Motors. Everyone working at the dealership is extremely friendly and eager to help. The salespeople are very knowledgable and helpful. I also did not feel pressured or rushed into my purchase. I would recommend anyone to buy a car here!

A joke of a Volkswagen dealership. Was looking to turn in my lease and possibly get another vehicle. Not any more.

Extremely unhelpful and rude employees including management. Have an issue? Speak with the general manager? Don't bother. Extremely unprofessional; to the caliber of a low-level used car salesmen.

To the person in charge of social media: no need to refer me to your general manager, we've already spoken. Enjoy your lost sale.

#1 VW Dealership on the Planet!! This establishment makes car buying easy and hassle free, I worked with one of their top Salesman, Greg King and couldn't imagine a better experience. Thank you sincerely for helping me out when my existing lease was near expiration.

I can not describe what a horrible experience me and my family had. I would never recommend anyone to this dealer because of the lack of understanding they put you through and also our salesman was a crook. Hiring such a fake person to work for your company was such a horrible Idea on your part Jack Daniels. I would also say your service center is very slow and it took me almost 3 weeks to get my car back for a simple fix.

I recently purchased a certified Golf Alltrack and had what I can only describe as a remarkable experience. It started with a focused telephone conversation with the sales manager, Justin Pinto, who indicated he knew exactly what I was looking for and would contact me just as soon as one became available. To our mutual surprise, he called me just a few business days later and I moved ahead with finalizing the sale. His team, which include Keven Sai and David Dimor effortlessly worked together "as a team" to guide me through the sales cycle. It was a pleasure working with these professionals, who genuinely where determined to make sure I was comfortable with the process (car fax details, insurance process, signing off on the loan, test drive) and happy with the vehicle. They also helped me with transportation to the local car rental company. It was as much fun buying this car as driving it! Thanks, guys!

Kevin S is one of the nicest sales people you could ever deal with. He helped my brother and I buy out his lease. Very straight forward and didn t play that sales back and forth game that every dealer likes to do. If you re in the market for a Vdub, go see this man! Thanks again for the goodie bag too!

This dealership and their dealers were great. Great service, down to earth and weren't sharks like those of other dealerships. They made buying a car an easy process with their friendly personality.

They are posting reviews on other vw dealerships saying "they are closed" and to come here instead. Don't worry, I made sure the other dealerships know about this. I can't wait to see the legal action that comes out of this! I would hate to meet the scumbags that resort to this type of promotion. Stay away.

EDIT: for their response, no they are not closed. I know this because I was there a few weeks ago and showed them the reviews.

About a month ago I bought a VW Atlas after tradi...

About a month ago I bought a VW Atlas after trading in the car that I had. Everything was good until I received a text from my sales rep about two weeks after the transaction saying that there are some "issues" with title (for the car I traded). After talking to him I found out that title has to be updated with my name. The lease for this car was paid off few weeks before I traded the car and I mentioned same to them when I traded it and ask them to check all the paper work required (cos this was first time I traded a car). and I was told everything was good..(Sure that s why we proceed with the deal).

So my first question to my sales rep was if there are any fees associated for the title update who is responsible for that ? and after checking with one of his supervisors he told me that they will take care of the cost. I went to the dealership that day itself and picked up the title from one of the "sales managers" and again my question was who is responsible for the cost if there are any... and the answer from him was.. Just get us the receipts we will take care of it .

I got the title updated (Half a day was wasted at DMV) which cost ~$460 and gave the title back to them (Sales rep) and was told that I should get a check in about a week or so. Since I didn t receive the check I called my sales rep after about 10 12 days

Me:- hey how are you.. I didn t receive that check for the title work yet.. Can you check the statues

Rep:- Sure.. let me check give me few mins Hey They didn t send it out and they are saying that they cannot reimburse the money..
Me:- What ! why not they agreed to do so..
Rep:- I don t know it s not my decision..
Me:- Fine Let me talk to your supervisor (I get transferred one of the sales managers)

After explaining the whole situation he agrees to escalate this to his General manager and get back to me the very next day and never called back. After 5 working days I called him back..

Me:- Hey it s me xyz.. Did you have any update on this ?
Sales Manager:- ohhh gime me a second let me check my email Sorry we cannot do anything about it. It s your responsibility to get the title updated You may need to talk to Toyota (where I bought the lease from) and get the money from them cos it s their responsibility
Me:-.. wait what ?? Toyota ?? are you serious .. first of all you guys check all the documentation and said everything is good. Second of all you guys promised me to reimburse the money.. and now I need to talk to Toyota.. are you serious This does not make sense.. It s your responsibility to pay the money back that you owe me.
Sales Manaer:- Sorry I can t do anything. That s my General managers decision..
Me:- fine.. thanks..

So if you are looking for a new car, do yourself a favour and stay away from this place. First thing you need to look at when you are buying a new car, is the honesty of the people at the dealership. As you can see from what happened to me I have been lied to by multiple people at this place in multiple occasions. That is the last thing you want from a car dealer.. !!

Great customer service, pleasent to work with. I've been a long time customer. From floor manager, Greg King, Jr., to my salesman, Doug , they did a fabulous job this time around ! Full of advises and recommendations. Easy to work with. Strongly recommend them.

Recently my wife and I bought a pre owned Passat from Jack Daniels Volkswagen. I have to say it was such an amazing experience and for that I have to thank our salesperson Blendi. He was very transparent with us , made things very easy and very painless. I would definitely recommend Jack Daniels VW and Blendi as the best dealership and salesrep to do business with. One thing that Blendi told me that I was impressed with was " My relationship begins with you from the day you drive with the new vehicle. I come with the car he said , anything you need with the car you call me." Honestly speaking that's what sets him apart from other salespeople.

After 3 weeks without a car due to my last car flooding out and insurance taking forever. I made last minute decision that it was finally time to get a new car. I called up Jack Daniels Volkswagen and spoke to Jason Ku over the phone. I told him exactly what I wanted and very quickly he got back to me with a great car at a great price. Within three hours of calling him I was on the road in my brand new 2018 Jetta as I couldn't be happier. This may seem like a BS review I was asked to write, but this guy didn't play games with me, he was a friendly dude, easy to get a long with and was with me every step of the way in getting me out the door quickly while still answering any questions I had. Jason Ku is the man, I highly recommend going to see him. It's important that you feel comfortable with the person you are buying a car from and the dealer. Overall the car and experience is great and I'm happy to not ubering everywhere.

Horrible Experience....I would never ever do business with them again.....Mark the "MANAGER" hang up the phone I reached them out to complaint about it as of now I still waiting for them .... I guess they were interested only for the money because customers to them are nothing.. which is sad if you want to have loyal customers

Went in with a budget set in mind and a possibility of what I wanted which was a Tiguan. Jason made it happen not only did he get manage to give us a good deal, he made it happen with all perks I wanted in it. I highly recommend this place everyone was kind and straight to the point. No gimmicks. Jason rocks, make sure you ask for him !

Car shopping can be stressful but not here. I took my time went to other VW dealerships and even different car manufacturers. My wife and I finally decided that we wanted the Atlas Cross Sport. I had been to other VW dealerships like I mentioned earlier and wow did we leave running, but not here.

Doug was our sales professional and he was outstanding. He was very patient and answered all our questions. Honestly we didn t even purchased the vehicle on our first visit as we went home to discuss numbers, and evaluate our buying decision. At not one single moment did we feel any pressure to purchase a vehicle or even tried to persuade us into a different vehicle. When we came back, Doug and his team again answered all our questions, we felt extremely safe especially during these Covid times. The transaction was smooth and flawlessly executed. We are happy with our purchase, and highly recommend Doug and Jack Daniels Dealership. Exceptional Service!

I recently purchased my 2017 Atlas at JD Volkswagen and the entire process went seamlessly. My salesman, Charlie, was helpful and patient. Through his mannered questions and extensive product knowledge , I was able to choose a car that fit all my needs best. I did not feel pressured by him like I did at other dealerships. Very satisfied.

Went in to buy a car around a year ago. Test drove a car, put a refundable deposit down on a car I wanted at the time. Ended up not buying that car, called to request the money be refunded. Never happened. Called multiple times, either got the staff members answering machine, or assurances from the front desk that that would be processed. Waited a week.. two weeks, no dice. I drive to the actual dealership, wait a long time, physically give my card to the staff, who i assume notes down the information and assures me that the money would be refunded. Never got the money back.

Deceitful. I wanted to sleep on a purchase decision and opted to pay a $500 hold fee for a car I was interested in. Next day I decided against the purchase and asked for my money back via email. Two days later I sent another email. A week later I was on the phone with them and was assured I would finally get my money back. Four weeks later I'm still waiting and just filed a dispute with my credit card company. To make matters even worse, they ran an unauthorized credit report on me, even after I told them I wasn't interested anymore. Deceitful dealer. Stay far away and read other reviews. Had I done that beforehand, I would have never walked into this dealership.

Short version: They will fool you and waste of you...

Short version: They will fool you and waste of your time unless you are willing to pay overpriced number. And DO NOT MAKE A DEPOSIT. They have change the word right before you drive out. so be prepare.

Detail version: lets start with I hate hate hate wasting my time on back and forth at the dealership. We been Looking in to getting lease on tiguan. So we been submitting inquiry form to vw dealers in the area. Ashley been emailing us but she has not approached with number, ignored it, then "supposely" manager Doug have called us on October 11th around 6:30 with attractive number and asked to come right in. So we did. I didn't actually meet "DOUG" but Kevin help us guide through all paperwork. Process was pleasant.

So all we need to do is pick up on Saturday Morning because car is in their warehouse ( Or Garage). Yes we made the deal without looking at the car or driving it. We know what we are looking for and very clear on what we wanted.

Finally on saturday ( Today) we went to pick up the car, kevin called to make sure insurance is covered on new car. so we did. took off insurance in old car and put it on new car. which gives me hassle to put it back on and dealing with carco inspection hassle all over again.

anyways, deal has been off because right when we are finishing up the deal with credit manager Henry, he added all these fees and charges are adding up which was suppose to be included in original number that doug has offered. Super unexpected. they change their words right on the day of pick up.

not only that, on thursday, We've lock the deal with deposit of $500. Once deals off, they shall return it back. their excuse is "our credit card machine doesnt have option to refund the money".

If you do want to come in and sign lease with them, make sure you have good lawyer friend that can protect you from fraud or playing words.

I have a question?I see responding from the owner on reviews where you have 5 stars only, why you guys don t want to respond on the reviews where you have 1 star?
I bought a car from Jack Daniels a month ago with a recommendation from Tane C.,But i ll Never go there to buy car again, and i ll Try my best who ever around me I know never go there.
I think it s so disappointing with all that what you guys did to him.and you still don t want to take those payments from the car he returned.
A little explanation for everyone who is going to read this review:
He got a Passat on leasing,he was having that car on 3 year lease,he went to Volkswagen couple months before his lease was finished,he wanted to get new lease, they tell him THEY ARE GOING TO TAKE THE REST OF THE PAYMENTS IF HE WANTS TO RETURN THE PASSAT AND GET NEW CAR,and that what he did.
But after new year he is receiving a letter from the bank that he need to pay the rest of the money for the Passat WHAT HE ALREADY RETURNED.

Wife and I went in on new year's eve looking for a great deal at the end of the year as this dealership is walking distance from our house. We were greeted with professionalism and courtesy. We test drove what we wanted to buy and had every intention of buying the vehicle. I made this known after the test drive but also let our salesmen know that i didnt want to go back and forth with games as we had our newborn with us. Make a great deal and sell a car quick today. The sales manager quickly came out after the first round of unsatisfactory pricing. I asked for all the numbers to be laid out ie. Sale price, taxes, fees, down payment options money factor etc. so i could examine the deal being offered. After beating around the bush and them not willing to provide me the sale price for the vehicle with repeating that lease price is different from sales price, just a payment and upfront money needed, we decided to leave when we were told that there wasnt any wiggle room any longer. We got a much better deal than what we originally wanted from Jack Daniels at another dealership on the same vehicle and decided to go over there. Let it be known, i wouldnt have left over a couple dollars in payment as the guys were professional. But when another dealers drops the price enough to drop $60 off the payment on a lease with all other terms staying the same(only thing changed was price went down), well we had to make the decision to go there instead. At least they'll get our service business while we have the lease, hopefully next time they'll be more willing to make a deal. I forgot i even emailed the manager before going to the other dealer if they'd meet in the middle somewhere on price with no response so that cemented my decision to go to the other dealer. Looking forward to picking up our new Atlas today.

Had a great experience buying a new 2018 Golf GTI. I worked with Michael Caropolo and Greg King. They both treated me well and the negotiation was very straightforward. I got a good price on my trade in and a good price on my new car. I would recommend Jack Daniels to my friends.

Service is great, I'm just not thrilled with the service prices with VW. Even with coupons/ discounts; i'de pay more or less the same than I would for my flagship Lexus on an oil change at the Lexus dealership. The msrp on the VW at best is 15k-21k, the Lexus is 70k-85k... you're trying to convince people the maintenance in comparison should be almost the same? Yeah..... sure.

The only reason for the star is because the sales person was helpful in showing us the used car we were interested in, test driving it with us and getting us to the appropriate person for buying.

However, from there on out it was a nightmare. We didn't need a loan or finance and had the money to cover the purchase of the vehicle. But apparently VW thought differently and tried to trick us into getting us into one of their financing loans with their approved banks. They pushed paperwork in front of us to sign and we picked up on it and called them out on it. And it was for a higher rate then we had elsewhere. VERY SNEAKY and UNPROFESSIONAL. Be careful!

JD Volkswagen was hands down the best car buying experience I've had. The staff was friendly and extremely knowledgeable on the car I was looking to buy. They made the whole car-buying process easy to understand for me, (someone who isn't very experienced), but at the same time were very thorough. Id highly recommend this dealership for anyone looking for a new car! Thanks JDVW!

FRAUD! SCAM! ALERT! I dealt with Shawn. I took a car on Lease. Paid $2200 as a down payment. I told them I am an international student and I do not have a job. They gave me the car anyway without complete approval. Few days later, my lease did not approve. They called me to bring back the car and sent me home without the car. Now they are refusing to give me my money back. Why would you give a car without complete approval of lease from the bank?

I was intending to buy a 2nd car from Jack Daniels...

I was intending to buy a 2nd car from Jack Daniels last week, hoping that they'd be willing to work with me given I was a returning customer. It would also be more convenient for me given they are close and it's nice to have a consistent, good relationship to rely on. The first experience wasn't the best -- I didn't get a great deal, but I was buying a relatively rare car and it was the only one in the area, not to mention they tried to sneak in other ways to cost me money -- but decided to give them another try since there were many of the car I was looking for at other dealerships, and thought maybe they'd work to keep my repeat business given the competition.

The pre-negotiation experience with my salesman Nick went well enough. However, when we sat down to negotiate, things were even worse than the first time. The first thing I told him was that I already had financing, that I should be considered a cash buyer for any pricing, and if I had to finance with them for a great deal, we'd need to talk about it. I adamantly explained that I had done my research for pricing on this car, that I knew what my spotless, meticulously maintained trade was worth and I gave the number I wanted to pay in difference. I was not delusional. I had no expectations they'd actually hit that number, but just wanted to be in the ballpark of what is fair.

The first price they offered was $10K above what I was asking. Not only did they jack the price up on the car more than $2k above MSRP, and the price initially given to me, they also valued my trade at more than $5k below market trade-in value. At that point, I told Nick I was pretty insulted considering what I had already told him, that it's not even worth talking further, and to give me my keys so I could leave (they had been checking out my trade). Nick would not give my keys back, pleading to let him try again. After a few minutes of arguing, I decided to let him.

The next price was still $5k above the number I gave and was told they were giving me a great deal selling at MSRP. Again, I tried to leave, but Nick wanted to bring the sales manager over.

I gave the SM the numbers I used to calculate the values I had come in with. Then he asked what it would take to buy the car that day. I gave him a number that was at the top of my range because I wanted the car and wasn't confident they'd move far. The sales manager came back and said we're good on that number. I wasn't feeling too great about it as the "deal" was very one-sided for JD, but again I wanted the car.

So, the first thing Nick asks me to do is fill out a credit application. I rehashed that I had told him I didn't want to finance with them so there was no need to fill out the credit application. He insisted several times that I do so to see if they could get better rates and I continued to refuse. Eventually he was called up to the sales desk and returned telling me the deal was contingent on me financing with them. At that point I was done. I wasn't willing to let them try to gouge me more with unexpected stipulations later. I demanded my keys back and left.

I called a different dealership the next morning. I didn't even play the "that dealership offered this number" game with them. Told them what I wanted to pay and after a couple of calls came to a deal $1k less than what Jack Daniels offered, and was told I could pay for it however I wanted. Picked up the car the same day. To my surprise the car also came with upgraded wheels, expensive rubber mats, and the "Volkswagen Cargo System", none of which JD was offering.

I'll never go back to Jack Daniels for anything again. I had already boycotted the service department for all the headaches (including damaging a brand new wheel) the few times I went there -- every time was a hassle. Now they've lost every bit of business, including any word-of-mouth, from me. I understand that negotiating is a process, but there is a right and a wrong way to do it. I certainly didn't feel anything like a valued repeat customer. Good riddance.

I went to two other VW dealerships before this interested in a Tiguan. The first one.. average.. but not willing to work with us that much. The second one.. horrible.. made me want to give up on car shopping. I looked for one more dealership in the area that I could visit that same day and found Jack Daniels. My family and I drove there and were set up to work with Mike Caropolo. Were we lucky! Mike is not your average car salesman. He s personable, will sit there with you and help you through EVERYTHING, will talk and listen to you to understand where you re coming from, and will even help you contact your insurance company to help you get the best set up. He made car shopping and buying so easy and fun! I would recommend Jack Daniels Volkswagen and Mike specifically to anyone and everyone I know.. and I plan to! I bought my Tiguan two weeks ago from Mike and to this day he still offers to help me learn more about my car. The customer service at this dealership was amazing.

Had a nice car shopping experience with Mentor at Jack Daniels VW. Went there to check out some used car and came back home with a certified 2018 Tiguan! Mentor was really nice and very helpful. He made the overall shopping experience easy and enjoyable. I would highly recommend to ask for him if you are looking to buy a car at Jack Daniels VW. Overall shopping experience was good. Everyone was very helpful and professional. They don t hustle you to buy a car like some dealerships do but at the same time they will work with you to make the experience pleasant.

Jason Ku was the salesman that helped me out today. He really took the time to fulfill all of my requests when looking for a /new/ used car. He really went the extra mile with his customer service. I understood that my requests to see under the car might ve been a long shot, and could ve been irritating but Jason showed me to the service center and was able to get my car up on a lift so I could see if there were any issues.

I cannot speak for the rest of the dealership and their quality but if I ever needed a new or used car from Jack Daniels VW you know I m asking for Jason. If you come here, be sure to work with him. His demeanor was professional and polite.

-Side point-
When we went to the service center together the shop seemed nice and efficient, the tech that let us use his lift for a few minutes was a really nice guy. I forget his name, but I think it was Gabe or something like that.

The professionalism of this place is terrible. I recently inquired about a particular vehicle on 04/6/19 which is a Saturday, asking if the car was available through email and phone contact. Sales woman there told me that it was and if i would like to schedule a test drive the day of. I told her that i couldn't because i have to work she told me that it was fine and that i could come in on Monday this is 4/8/19 for a test drive, Me planning my day based on the information that she gave had just came to a halt. Waking up today to a confirmation text stating if i am still schedule for the test drive and a phone call i said "yes". An hr later i am receiving a call from the sales woman saying that the car is no longer available and that it was finalize on Saturday the same day i inquired about the vehicle 4/6/19. I canceled all my plans that i had to do based on the information that she gave. That was really unprofessional i would never recommend any one to the sales woman Michelle Dilzer
