If you visit Vienna you cannot miss the Volkstheater, founded in 1889 at the request of the citizens of the city, by pressure from Ludwig Anzengruber and a furniture maker Thonet, who promoted its construction, something like the opposition of the Hofburg theater.

Good theater with modern and sophisticated performances.

It was a great evening tonight in the series of Impulstanz with @Oh magic by Simon Mayer.
It's a shame that the Red Bar wasn't open afterwards, as it was very warm in the auditorium (not air-conditioned !!?) And we were very thirsty, it would have been a great way to end the evening if we could have a cozy drink.

Impressive building with a great acoustics. Diverse events, including Red Bull BC One, a break dance contest, complete the offer.

Nice theater. You can also get cheap in most plays if you take the seats at the top back. Most of the time you can sit a bit forward

A visit to the red bar on New Year's Eve is not necessary. DJ appeared just before midnight and then missed the turn of the year. Letdown.

Here you have a rich selection of theaters. The house is beautiful and well maintained. The staff is gentlemanly and professional. The connection and the location are also great. All stages of the Volkstheater offer theater of the highest standard and I am always happy to be here.

"The good man of Szechuan" was very nice, with music deposits mostly from the 70s to 90s and set design in industrial style. I am, however, a Burgtheater fan.

The Volkstheater was extensively renovated. When the lockdown is over, be sure to watch a performance. The theater is always worth a visit.

Can't say much about it because I just passed by! But it has just been renovated and repainted on the outside and it looks great!

Very cool place to grab a drink. Amazing faded glamour.

Very nice, but many, many stairs. Very tedious. Must also give a lift, which is not advertised to a card demolition. Well, but the house is wonderful and known to be the only existing baroque theater, it gets the stars for that

Nice ambience, yet (as in so many such facilities) heavily overpriced food and drinks.

Great theater, especially the view is excellent from almost every seat. In addition, the great staff assures extremely smoothen flow

Plays well. Some but getting used to.
For example, I could barely sit with my knee operated in March, as the distance to the front rows of seats is very tight. Sat balcony middle and there is no elevator.

We were at "Gutmenschen" - great theater, nice atmosphere, comfortable seats and a good view of the stage
