When we began to look for a house, one of the conditions was that fiber optic internet was available in the area. When I found out Direct Communications was available I was very excited, as Eagle Mtn seemed like the place to be. We've had the fiber 8Mbit down / 1Mbit up connection for 2 years now and have had only one service call (which turned out to be a power inverter issue with our city power). The technician that came out was prompt (same evening) and even though it wasn't a Direct Communications issue, found an alternate way to power our internet until the city could come replace the power inverter. Very impressed! This speed of internet is affordable and fast enough for Netflix, connecting to my work VPN, and gaming. The only recommendation I have for Direct Communications is that they offer one free static IP, as my last ISP offered this in Orem - which was helpful for hosting basic services without additional cost. Overall I couldn't be happier and I often recommend Direct Communications to neighbors - excellent product and service!

I have been with Direct Communications for about 10 years now. When I've had problems I've called customer service and they were able to get me back up and running very quickly. Their staff is very helpful and fast when a problem comes up. We've been very happy with their service as well as what they have to offer. I would definitely recommend them if you are moving into Eagle Mountain.

Worst customer service I have ever encountered. I signed up for new service. The tech came out and didn t finish the first day, came back out the next day and still didn t finish. It has been a week. I have called to see when it will be finished and all I get is that someone will call me when it is done. I have asked the manager if there is an estimate when it will be done and she just says there are no updates. Not friendly, courteous or helpful at all. I wish I had another choice for internet in Eagle Mountain.

We were customers with direct communications since 2009 until we moved recently and had fantastic service. They were amazing to work with, and quick to resolve any concerns we had. Usually if we had an issue it was on our end. We always had fast reliable internet. Thank you direct communications!

They were on time to install it into our home, super kind and professional, they made sure everything worked properly and explained everything before they left. Just got setup on Direct Communications and everything went smoothly. I moved into a house that was owned by a previous customer of Direct Commmunications. The process was so simple that I saw the technician for 30 seconds just to sign and my internet was fully up and running. I just connected my ethernet cable to my router (no modem necessary!!!). I am on the 75 mbps plan and the speed is even better than when I was on Comcast fiber in Draper.

Holy cow! I was expecting my internet experience to be a little rough in Eagle Mountain, what with the lack of big name providers. But Direct com is awesome. The installation was simple, the technicians were quick, kind and helpful. Calling in has been pleasant. That is right, I said pleasant, how often do you hear that about calling into an internet provider? I highly recommend Direct Communications.

It has very low latency for video games and they have many options for data speeds for any video streaming of your choice. If you are in eagle mtn this is the ISP you should go to.

I am so beyond upset with this company! If I could leave negative stars I would! They told me I had until Aug 31st in plain black and white to pay my bill. I needed more time because my son has cancer and they sent me to collections on July 31!!! EVEN though it CLEARLY in black and white states ON MY BILL I had until Aug 31st to pay!!! I will be reporting these guys to the BBB and getting a lawyer, this is unethical business practice and completely and totally unacceptable!

Direct Communications is the best internet provider that we have used in The Ranches. We have multiple wireless devices using internet access simultaneously and rarely experience slow downs or outages. I only give 4 stars instead of 5 because I live in an older neighborhood that hasn't been completely upgraded yet.

When they re having problems a simple email going out stating they re having outages would be something simple they could do. Avoid this company if possible!! Direct Communications has provided solid internet for my family for many years now. Customer service is always responsive and attentive to needs as well. And they actually know when something is going wrong when I contact them.

Great internet at great speeds at a decent price. And ESPN3 is a great add on value.

Costumer service is very kind and fast to answer questions. It is the first time I called them and it was around 11:00am on monday and I didn t wait a minute to have someone answer me. Felicia is the name of the lady whom I talked to both times and she was able to fix the issue of a low speed and even offered good suggestions to have constant good speed and let me know of better plans if I wanted too. If Only the company could have 3 upload speed in other plans, just waiting for fiber, that will be awesome!

I was skeptical at first since they are the only option at our home, but have been pleasantly surprised. Our installer was very professional and he took time to answer questions and make sure we had everything set up the way we wanted/needed. Speeds are phenomenal. I'm getting exactly what I am paying for (even a little faster at times). So far we have been impressed with DC!

Holy prices, they keep advertising "symmetrical speeds" yet they then advertise gigabit package at gig down and 500 up? what? and at 150$ a month no less! thats a ripoff. im paying 85 a month now for true gigabit just around the corner in saratoga and even that is above the utah average. there is no reason to limit upload speeds on a individual true fiber network to each house as each fiber line is theoretically capable of at least 10 gig up and down with individual ports for each house. just a ripoff.

For almost a decade Direct Communications has kept our family connected. The longest that connection has ever been down was a few hours for a major upgrade. I couldn't be happier. Some have complained about the customer service, however, I have been treated very well and with the utmost professionalism. We have be very happy with Direct Communications and we highly recommend them. From the ordering process thru installation it was very easy and there was no surprises or extra charges. Our installer was quick and very knowledgeable. I watched him work and I was impressed with his skills. The speed has been reliable and we have not had a single outage. Not only do we plan on staying with direct communication we plan to increase our services.

This company is horrible not only did I pay my bill they still shut me off because I didn't make the payment until after 3 and still charge me a $50 reconnection fee then proceeded to tell me I hadn't paid my bill for almost 60 days which was a lie because I paid my bill a month before very rude not happy Internet only works half the time and yet when I first started I was paying fifty bucks and now all of a sudden I'm paying almost a hundred bucks without no communication on why my right changed if you can avoid this company I know there's not many around but they're not worth it

I was on the phone with tech support and I tried to recommend a solution to the tech, and the tech, thinking I was on hold or he had muted himself said, "Yeah, the customer has been Google-ing and thinks he's a pro now." I said, "You know I just heard you right?" He mumbled and tried to explain himself. I just hung up and canceled service immediately after. Been extremely happy with my new provider, my internet has gone down NEVER in the 8 months we've had it.

We had a horrible experience with Direct Comm. Our internet was regularly going down, and we were blamed as well. They also would not adjust our bill for the time our service was done. I was a student and needed reliable service. I was treated badly by the customer service department on multiple times, and that was the local office as well. After I finally cancelled our service, I was billed for service for the three months after, even though our service was terminated. I will never be a customer again, and will publicly give my opinion.

Thus far our experience with Direct Communications has been like two sides of a coin. Two days ago the outside technician came by the house and installed a box on the outside, he was professional and took great pride in his work. He stated everything looks good outside and confirmed our appointment for the final inside installation for today. On the flip side, when i called for an installation time for today I was told it could still be several weeks since the lines haven't been installed. Nobody from Direct Communications called me to let me know there is a scheduling issue and they would need to reschedule, I had to call them. And I took the day off of work to be at home for them. Bottom line.... Very POOR project management and even worse communication to potential "new" customers.

I would definitely recommend it to anyone moving out here... which can also help me save money on my bill! Having internet that is fast and reliable is very important when you have little ones. I have been very pleased with Direct Communications. I moved to Eagle Mountain about 2 years ago. Before doing so I looked at all the internet service providers I could go with. They offered better speeds for better prices than other companies. The installation tech was on time and made sure everything was working and updated before he left. He even took the extra time to help me switch out my office phone connection with an Ethernet connection so I wouldn't have to use WIFI on my PC! Since that time I've never had a problem with their service. Anytime I've had a question I've always received prompt and good customer service. I'd recommend this company to anyone.

they charged us the wrong price for over a year then corrected it a year later so we owe over a $1000 now, they let us do a payment plan and we were 1 day late and they turned off our internet and demanded payment in full. even though it was there fault on billing. And customer service is very rude they could care less. Never again will I do business with them.

Horrible internet! Diane in customer service will not listen to you if you explain whats happened. Basically I had a contract with DC and it was almost finished. My service was never good and at one point I went months where they blamed it on the weather. I refused to pay for the months I had no service and they shut me off and sent me to a collection agency for a broken contract. Good luck trying to talk to a manager as the only person available was Diane. I ended up paying a very large sum of money to the collection agency and will tell everyone I know how dishonest this company is. Not to mention they dug up my yard when they did fiber and never replaced my plants they killed. There are other carriers in eagle mountain that are much better. Hope this helps

Great internet speed and for the most part reliable, there are some outtages every now and again but they are pretty quick at fixing the problem. Billing was a weak spot for them as well, if you set to automatic pay though you shouldn't have any issues. The higher speeds are a little pricey in my opinion and I wish their lowest package speed was more around $30.

Was referred by a friend and received a prompt followup from the company, and they patiently listened to all my questions about service. Prices are very fair considering other market factors, excited to have higher speeds then i have had with previous ISP's

Horibbly missed manged equipment with WAY to little backbone to feed their customers at peak and not enough knowledge of their own systems to manage it right. We scheduled our service to be setup nearly a month prior to our move in date. Our appointment was rescheduled several times due to the demand from the building of new communities. We were finally told that the technician was not prepared to splice the line when they came out. When we spoke to Direct Communications on the phone, the Customer Service Representative was rude and disrespectful. Our home is only setup for fiber optic internet so we did not have any other options for a service provider. This has been a very disappointing experience and we would not recommend DCCV if you have a different option for a provider.

We have had a very very terrible experience with Direct Communications. Customer service line to call for help has always been rude and doesn t seem like they are there to help you. We d pay our monthly payment and they d basically decline it and then put it as a late payment. It happened about 6 times to us in the 1 year we ve been with them. Then recently they didn t send us an email saying they declined our payment and when I called them. They said they shut off our internet and we were in the process of going to collections...?! Then they wanted us to pay a reconnection fee. Like we paid it. It s not our fault for y all declining our payment. They have been very very hard to work with and terrible customer service. As of today, we are no longer have our internet with them. 0 stars.

Wow. Customer service support constantly gives us incorrect information. Our billing has been screwed up twice. Been waiting for three months now for a refund.... in case it isn't obvious, we've switched internet providers.

We've been Direct Communications customers for 12 years now, and we couldn't be happier. When we first moved to Eagle Mountain, we tried the other ISPs in the area first (because, honestly, the others were cheaper) but they all created problems for the services we were using internet access for - not enough bandwidth, unreliable service, latency was too high, etc. Finally we took the plunge and switched to Direct Comm - it was well worth the extra cost (though THAT has changed over the years). As time went by, the service kept getting faster and the prices kept going down. Today, I don't think the alternatives are any cheaper, and we just can't imagine the service is anywhere near as good as what we're getting from Direct Comm. Trust us - this is the ISP you want.

I've been living in Eagle Mountain for the last 10 years, in the Ranches. When I first moved out here, I decided to sign up for Direct Communications as my internet service provider. After about 8 years, I had to move out to Eagle Mountain City Center and needed to switch my service to Digis for a while (there's only a few providers you can go with out here in Eagle Mountain, Digis being one of the biggest other than Direct Communications). This gave me a good chance to compare the service and speed between the two.

I think that the service provided by both companies is pretty good. If you need to get a hold of someone right away, they're both pretty quick about it. I will say that when I first started out with Direct Communications, it seems like the technical support took a while. But I feel like they've improved since then and have been providing good technical support for the past couple of years at least.

I did have a bunch of service issues with Digis when I was living out in City Center (about 1-1/2 years ago). They kept having problems with one of their antennas, and my service was really slow a lot of the time, or just didn't work at all. Some of those repairs seemed to take a while for them to fix, but they were good about letting me know what was going on and giving me approximate timelines of when things would be working again. I still had to go without internet more than I wanted.

As far as speed goes, Direct Communications is faster, especially the fiber optic plans which you can get throughout Eagle Mountain. Digis isn't bad, but they can't really come close to the speeds that you can get from DC. Digis' service also suffers when a lot of people are using it at the same time, which means that the advertised speed isn't always what you get.

The pricing is somewhat comparable. Digis has some speed packages that are cheaper than Direct Communications but, in my opinion, you get what you pay for. When you start to compare packages and speeds between the two companies, the pricing is fairly similar once you get to the higher speeds and, in the end, you probably get a better value with Direct Communications since the service doesn't suffer from heavy traffic or poor weather conditions.

When I moved back to the Ranches, from City Center, I had the choice to continue using Digis or switch back to Direct Communications. I went with Direct Communications and have been happy with my service ever since. I don't think I've had a single outage, and my Internet never really seems get bogged down at any time of the day.

If you want great customer service please don't go here. Dianne did not help us. The auto pay didn't go through and now we are being charged a $50 installation fee. Watch out this company is a little shady. We have enjoyed the Internet except for the customer service.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! When my payment got lost in the mail we went in to deal with it in person to make sure the bill got paid and the late fee removed. We were told the late fee would be removed and how much to pay. All taken care of right? Wrong! Next month we were still charge the late fee for last month with an added late fee for not paying the late fee they told us not to pay. Talking to the manager is useless, they do not value their customers. She actually suggested I call my bank and have them pay for the late fee. Which they did, because they care enough to pay for this stupid companies mistake. Direct Communications, I sure hope that $15 is worth losing customers.

We've been with DC since moving to Eagle Mountain....

We've been with DC since moving to Eagle Mountain. The pricing and offering is competitive, no caps is nice. The customer service staff is always helpful and tech's are open and upfront with what is needed and when needed are on top of any problems that may occur. They seem to be actively enhancing the network to keep it running smoothly when needed and don't overload the system as far as I can see. Outages do occur occasionally, but when they do they let people know and get them handled quickly. Compared to the other options I will stay with DC for the foreseeable future. The only reason it's not 5 stars is their modem options for rent are limited, if you buy your own modem a tech has to come set it up and trying to get my xbox connected was more complex than it should have been, again because a tech had to come out.

I'm almost to the point where I'm going to cancel and change to signal west. Multiple times a day our internet has been going out and coming back periodically and I work from home along with everybody else right now, but when it keeps kicking me off when we pay $65.00 a month, I'm about ready to drop it and move to the other company. I bought a new router and everything. It's the service. If this keeps up, I will have to cancel. It's expensive and I just feel like I'm not getting what I pay for.

Living in Eagle Mountain there aren't too many choices for internet providers. We choose to go with Direct Communications after hearing negative reviews about the other companies in town. We love that we are able to have a fiber optic connection straight to our home! We have never had a problem steaming anything (We stream Hulu and Netflix.) Websites load quickly, and the installation process was quick and easy. Direct Communications has been a pleasure to work with! The only downside is that their prices are a little high compared to other areas of the state (we came from Draper) due to the lack of competition.

I honestly have never been happier with a ISP. We are lucky enough to be in one of the neighborhoods with the option of having Fiber. It is blazing fast and more importantly it is reliable. We have never had any issues. At all. PERIOD. Recently I ditched our old router and set up three Google Wifi home mesh Wi-Fi routers and now I get just about 95MB down and 95MB up from anywhere in the house! Give these guys a call and do fiber if you can. I've been a customer for over 2 years and don't ever plan on changing that.

We got our installation in quickly after we moved in. The person setting everything up was very nice and knowledgeable. They found there was an issue with our main fiber line and Direct Communications had it fixed several hours after that. It was a smooth and easy process. I like the flexibility of being able to go up and down speeds as needed as well. My first couple interactions/experiences with the company have been quite positive.
