Excellent place in a spectacular sea. We were a couple of years ago in late August and we really relaxed and had a lot of fun with children in tow. Exceptional entertainers who entertained you from morning to night, lots of involvement and laughter. Breakfast, lunch and dinner always full of proposals and good quality. Very comfortable rooms, you did not suffer from the heat. The excursions proposed directly from the village are also excellent. Well-kept beach

Spectacular, in every way, warm and clear Caribbean sea, dreamy beaches shaded by palm trees, fantastic location and animation !! International buffet cuisine, excellent!

Great village, spacious and clean rooms, awesome animation guys, pretty good food, the pool bar girls great and very nice. Great location 5 minutes from the center of Bayahibe and 15 minutes from Ramona airport. We stayed there 2 weeks in December to redo the experience. Bravi

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! My fiance and I travel regularly and this is by far the worst experience that we have ever had! We were told that there was a $2 per day charge in order to use the safe which was fine because we wanted to make sure our valuables and passports would be ok. We chose to go on an excursion that would be very dirty so I locked my engagement ring as well as the balance of our spending money in our safe. I figured it would be safer there than carrying it around the city as we were told that some of the areas we were going in weren't the best. Upon our return we found that not only was our money stolen but my engagement ring as well was stolen OUT OF OUR SAFE!!! When we made the report to the hotel we were told that it would be 72 hours before we could get any information as to what was going on with their so called investigation. We knew the only person that had been in our room was our housekeeper so we confronted her. She pretended to fake cry and for the rest of the week she avoided cleaning our room and avoided us all together. When we went to inquire about the so called investigation, they pretty much tried to insult our intelligence and told us that the housekeeper was only in the room at a time when we were in the room. This was a total lie. It led me to believe that the hotel is well aware that the staff is full of thieves and they condone it and are likely a part of it. They treated all of the english-speaking guests including ourselves very poorly. The staff consistently acted like there was a problem to speak to us in English and that there was a problem that we did not speak Spanish, Italian, or French. Everything in the resort was very highly catered to the European and Spanish speaking guests including the food. It was absolutely the worst experience I've ever had traveling and would not wish it upon anyone. The beaches are beautiful, but the rooms and all of the buildings leak when it rains and maintenance did not make any attempt to fix those issues. We also found cockroaches in our room the very first night. Please do not waste your money going to this place especially if you are English speaking or American! Oh and by the way when we checked out somehow miraculously we were never charged for our so called safe in our room.

While the room was being cleaned, the cleaning staff stole $ 200 from us.
We demanded a response from the hotel managers and none took over. It is incredible how they do not guarantee the necessary security, in their argument they said that if the safe was forced they should respond, otherwise it is our problem.

Risiges, nice hotel resort with private beach and lots of beautiful nature

We went for our honeymoon, La Romana is a simply wonderful place, the hotel, and more precisely where we were staying, 10 points, the room a luxury, the receptionists, all the workers in general super friendly, the food crazy, the different restaurants and drink bars, for me, the best! We will return without a doubt. I fell in love with the Dominican Republic.

Beautiful place, very good and nice facilities although in most of the stay we had to shower without hot water. As for the theme restaurants, they are a very good option to get out of the little variation of buffet food, although very good. Following the theme of food, it would be important to note that the snack is part of it and the amount that was offered for the number of guests was tremendously INSUFFICIENT, stressing that fruits are also part of this, not just hamburgers, French fries and hot dogs.
As for the attention of the service very good but above all if you give your own ......

We are at the Dominicus Palace. The facility is good, nice spacious room. You can eat well at the buffet restaurant both in the morning for breakfast and in the evening for dinner (every evening they change, especially the Mexican buffet) and for now even the restaurants by reservation deserve (the typical Dominican restaurant is very good). the water could be more beautiful (it is certainly not Riccione but to be a Caribbean sea it is a bit dirty) ... bad beds, you have to do a race in the morning to grab something (in the morning I advise you to bring the beach towels and take a sunbed and after going to breakfast ... you could not do it but everyone) ... much more dilapidated, instead, the viva beach, eco version next to the Palace

Booked as a group through Sunwing. The room was supposed to have 2 beds and when I arrived at the resort not only was check in a 2 hour wait past check in time but the room only had one double bed! It took multiple calls to Sunwing to get the resort to switch the rooms to one with 2 beds. The first room looked like a 'rent by the hour' type of room, no towels, no water bottles, air conditioner was broken and the room was dirty. I was not impressed. Finally got another room that was alright but wasn't cleaned properly through the week despite leaving a good tip. I went to the bathroom in the middle of the night and had a roach running around, also saw a huge one by the buffet.
Staff were friendly but couldn't make a drink if their life depended on it, food was passable but nothing to brag about. There were other restaurants in the resort but you had to pay extra for Italian or seafood ones.
The beach towels were hard to get unless you were vip!
I've seen many reviews on other sites that warn people to stay away from this resort, now I understand why! Free wifi is impossible to connect with. Nothing was included, you'd need a few hundred extra to do any water activities. Would not recommend it to anyone and would not go back. I did however enjoy the ocean and pool, the nightly shows were ok.
Spend the extra money and stay at an all inclusive 4* or 5* resort instead.

Beautifully landscaped resort on the beautiful beach of Bayahibe. The staff are always very helpful and friendly. The food was always very rich and delicious. We had a very nice room with balcony and view to the garden. The room was maybe not the newest, but everything was always clean. We would come back anytime

I stayed in February in a standard room. Bedroom ok, bathroom a bit small and without bidet, with a disgusting drain system (typical of the Dominican republic though). Good buffet restaurants with enough choice, the a la carte ones always full and in a week it was impossible to have dinner.
Staff of the structure always smiling and courteous, except for the porters who twice forgot to take our luggage.
Good availability of sunbeds on the beach (beautiful sea). Health club and gym provided and always clean.
Evening entertainment is more for families / middle aged couples, but you can make up for it with excursions outside. Speaking of excursions, it is advisable to book them just outside the structure, you will save a lot.
Alcohol is a sore point! For those who have the all inclusive formula, there are several bars available, but the cocktails and rum are of poor quality, and the bartenders are often listless and slow.
Overall, I recommend it for value for money

A pleasant place. We had a good stay. Diverse cuisine, from breakfast to dinner. Only downside, the possibility of eating in restaurants, you have to order as soon as you arrive and the time slots are really not great 7:15 p.m. & 8:15 p.m. The employees of the hotel are all super pleasant, smiling. The excursions offered by the hotel (not by travel agencies) are really great and value for money at the top. The activities are numerous and free of charge archery, ping pong, boats .... special mention to Junior who was archery our week.
Several swimming pools of different depths, many deckchairs on the beaches available.
If you are staying near the shops and entertainment area at the beach, in the evening until around midnight - 12:30 am it's very noisy when you have small children, it can be annoying.
If we have to go on vacation to Bayahide again we will definitely go back to this hotel.

Very nice place big resort good restaurant nice atmosphere

I had a very nice week. The food was good and I liked the entertainment. The cost of activities is higher on I site, it's worth going out for some activities. We were given a room near the street, it is not ideal with children, because it is far and there are very noisy shows in the evening. The staff did not seem surprised when we complained about the situation. It would have been a perfect week if the staff had taken the trouble to answer our problem. In case of a glitch, the service is ordinary. The complaint is continually transferred to the next, so we do not have an answer or we wait a long time for it.

They do not comply with the rules of an oll, they even charge you in frigobar, they charge you the safe box res dollars per day, they charge you the identification tape if you take off three dollars they only leave you two small bottles of mineral water, just to wash your teeth, since the water is contaminated

Fantastic place, but forget to see joyful people. The employees are rude and without a smile.

Hi everyone I have been here in bayhaibe I had a reservation in a hotel but upon arrival we met the closed hotel I do not know if it was a bad luck or a fortune and I will explain you why: at the time of arrival the hotel I had booked was closed do not lose heart and we booked here at Viva whindamm dominicus Beach and once we entered I realized that the hotel I had booked was lucky it was closed in a few words at dominicus Beach I met a beautiful atmosphere they gave me a bungalow directly on the beautiful beach with true Caribbean flavor a lovely place the food at the buffet is very good but the food in the restaurant which is called Latin fusion the food is crazy very good and if I tell you that I am a chef you can believe it, the staff in general very courteous animation very good and I take this opportunity to send a greeting to Lorenzo who, besides being part of the animation, is a factotum of the resort for anything you need. are with Lorenzo in short I spent a week of total relaxation and tranquility I recommend it. in summary: beautiful beach, crystal clear sea, delicious food, very kind staff, Caribbean atmosphere, I have no complaints. of the staff, but I am an Italian American tourist who had the pleasure and the good fortune to share a beautiful experience in Viva whindam Dominicus Beach.Thank you very much for everything.

5 * Village with all the comforts you want. There are many activities you can do, from snorkeling to paraflying, surfing to canoeing, etc. Excellent cleanliness of the rooms, and of the vast garden around the village. The different types of eating from breakfast, to lunch, and even for dinner. Staff very professional but always with a smile. The various excursions that can be done in the different sites, are of a rare beauty for unforgettable moments with the Santo Domingo logo. I highly recommend the village.

Beautiful to go with your family as a couple or even alone. Excellent place. Very happy with the visit and want to return.

Fabulous village with jacuzzi and dream pools, impeccable entertainment! I would have given 5 stars except that the centralized system of the doors is old so you always have problems with opening and closing and for repair service is not timely. The food is great if you are served by the Italian chef the rest is just edible stuff

For me, we really love it, from the facilities, the activities, the cordiality and quality of its people.

Mainly I want to highlight the daily activities that are carried out, especially the animation kids who are great, super charismatic and attentive making us spend a relaxed stay.

The place is very nice, the facilities are good, in general the staff is very warm and attentive. The acceptable food if you are not too demanding.

I have not stayed here ..... but at the Palace. They are part of a usual structure and all those staying in the Palace can use the services of the Beach. However the facilities are new and at the Beach there is a much more lively animation. At the Palace every evening we can enjoy the beach theater where both Beach and Palace artists perform. I could also eat at the Beach buffet and the Palace one must say it's better. In the Beach buffet, in fact, there is a roof made of palm leaves whose fragments fall during the meal. This obviously does not happen at the Palace Where the roof of the buffet is made of plasterboard. The staff is all very nice both at the Beach and at the Palace ...... A little slow but typical of these places. The sea is very transparent and the sand is very beautiful. The beaches are groomed every morning and even during the day. The loungers for sunbathing are entitled Shadow of the Palms. The cleanliness of the rooms is good not great ..... More than once they forgot to put the towels in the room. Overall I would definitely stay here again.

The servers and bartenders are not as courteos as they use to be back in the 90s. I guess they are saturated with customers and don't care any more.

Lovely location! We have been to the Dominican twice, once on the punta cana side and once at this resort. We definitely like the Caribbean side a lot better, however our experience at the resort in punta cana was better.

have you been to the Dominican? its friggen hot!!! how are you going to close all your pools at 6pm? stupid....

i had to walk to the bar or restaurant to get something to drink because the maid would only leave a bottle a water per person ( so 4) in our room a day and that was to brush our teeth.

the food at the reservation restaurants was great. the buffets were awful.....

the high pressure to join their club on the last day we were there was awful.

people selling massages and excursions were unbearable. i have to say a million times a day no, and they still didn't get it.

very large village very close to the sea. large pools. possibility to practice various sports on the sea for free. there are several self-service restaurants or restaurants to book but always free, where it is possible to eat specialties from other countries.

There were problems with electricity. Little treatment of staff. We changed hotel. It was an unpleasant experience.
