While the service is good, we were very late in the room being with a one year old creature and having traveled so many hours. Cleaning in the public toilets of the sector leaves much to be desired. They are very dirty and almost always lack paper. Missing garbage cans in La playa. The attention of the employees and the medical service is excellent.

Wouldn't recommend. For a price you are getting much less than in other nearby resorts. Management is saving on everything, starting from minibar that is consist of two 0.5 lr bottles a day, ending with restaurants that either impossible to book or come with surcharge. We were very disappointed and will not be back. Try Catalonia or Bahia in La Romana instead. If have better budget take Dreams or Iberostar

Attention !!! Room service stole a webcam from our suitcase. Nobody took care of it. From conversations, it appears that this often happens here. Holidays spoiled us. It's disgusting that someone is poking at our things and stealing. We go often and this has not happened yet. It's a pity because it's Paradise on earth but I do not want to come back here. I have just returned from a holiday at Viva Dominicus Beach, I would say a little fabulous, the place is magnificent I think it's the most beautiful beach I've seen (since I used to run every morning on the beach), good food (I don't have never had a stomach ache), the rooms are nice, those VIPs are a fairy tale, but I was in a small bungalow but I was never in the room that much. The only negative note was the cleanliness, there was a cockroach that kept us company throughout the holiday and someone found the crabs in the shower (but that's the least). If you go to the eye bar the glasses never wash them, they just rinse them !!!! what about the holiday itself went very well I suggest you drink a lot of rum, do the excursions Saona and Catalina and maybe that of the dolphins (unfortunately I could not do) and godetevelaaaa !!!!

The hotel is nicely tended to the gardens, but very loud music and that all day except for 2 hours at noon, otherwise until one o'clock at night.

It has no customer service. No air conditioning anywhere were 3 days to fix the room impossible to sleep 5 claims. In other hotel chains before any concern you solved it. Good food but no variety. Nobody ever informed us that of all the restaurants you can use only 3 for dinner at night we are 10 every day we have dinner at the buffet. If you want to pay $ 12.50 per person I was at least 10 different hotel chains and never paid in an all inclusive. The variety of drinks is of poor quality for drinks. Unfortunately, the staff at the reception was friendly, in bars and restaurants, they were not all of us. First time I started to look under the water and all because of white sand and painted fish. With time, we were lucky. We went to see the surroundings organically. The animation was terrible. They were a fool from their guests and they were very aggressive, so we only went once and quickly left space. Wifi did not even work for me at least to check e-mail. We bought the card as much as possible, then we surfed the web without worries is left. Outside the fence it is not safe to walk because you are immediately gossiped and they want to sell you something. We bought the souvenirs from the store on the left when you get out over the fence. It's good that my husband and I read the comments on the booking so that we could prepare for all this surprise. When we spoke English, they were unfriendly. When we spoke German and Italian, they were friendly. This seemed to us very strange. In general, I never came to this hotel again. The wedding ceremony will be the next time in another country. I would like to exchange all staff with foreigners or better pay their staff to make them more friendly to the guests.

We have been there twice now, always had a bungalow and will be back.

The staff is not as nice as in Puerto Plata, many seem as if they were tired, the installation is very good, they must improve the water service in the rooms, because in the mornings or at the end of the afternoon, it is deficient , the rooms retain some doors not worthy of a recent remodeling, the food is nothing special. Except this, it is a good place to visit.

The viva dominicus was for us an excellent response to an extremely stressful period that allowed us to find ourselves in the family and spend 10 full days in contact with nature.
The resort allows you to find your dimension ... with more situations: the beach with entertainment, the different pools ... for all tastes .... quieter and with areas dedicated to children, finally the sea with comfortable access to take a dip properly.
Friendly and attentive staff.
A flaw that I would like to communicate for purely improvement purposes is to improve the restaurant section, in my opinion an important margin for improvement in particular for the large number of Italian customers.
The all-inclusive formula if combined with a truly high-quality evening dining offer could make the holiday truly unique for some Italians like me: greater attention to quality, more trained staff and used to dealing with Italian customers and with our various requests and needs, a wine list at least sufficient. We did not find a restaurant inside that met our needs so much that we decided to evaluate the proposals offered by the restaurants immediately outside the resort.
we were more convinced by the brand new Latino Fusion, disappointing the Atlantis, the Mexican and the roca ... the latter appreciated much more at breakfast and lunch in particular for the magical view of the sea and preferred to the canteen situation of the huge "Terrace", always super full ....

Another drawback .. wifi connection completely absent in the room and always very problematic even en plain air.

It's like a city has a lot of entertainment. Theater . shopping. Trapeze Archery Walls to escape. Tennis courts. And soccer.

We stayed at Viva Wyndham Dominicus Beach from October 2nd to October 12th and were very enthusiastic about our vacation. Before that we read through the reviews of the hotel and were sometimes very skeptical. Unfortunately, we have to agree with the bad reviews about the rooms.

The first few days we were super satisfied. We had a room in a very quiet area and from our balcony we had a beautiful sea view. Cockroaches kept appearing in our room, which didn't cause us any problems at first. At some point the number of cockroaches in our room increased so much that we could no longer sleep at night. We informed the receptionist who immediately helped us with the problem. Our luggage was brought to another room, in which we unfortunately no longer had a balcony and the music was a bit louder in the evening. Since we only had two days left before we left, it bothered us less. The cleaning ladies went out of their way and often decorated the beds with flowers, which we liked very much.

Furthermore, one has to say that the staff at the bar and at the buffet were not the fastest, for how few guests were in the hotel complex during our vacation time. In some places, for example, you didn't get any coffee in the morning.

Another negative point is that everything in the entire complex is very expensive when you compare prices outside the complex. The activities (diving, boat trips, etc.) are, in my opinion, adapted to German prices. But you can, for example, negotiate with the photographers, masseuses, salespeople etc. when it comes to the price.

Now we come to the many positive points. The excursions that are offered are really great. There is everything for both small and large.

Every day there is a huge entertainment program (water aerobics, yoga, volleyball, dancing in the evening, shows at the theater, market and much more.)
For example, canoeing, trapeze, climbing on the climbing wall, table tennis, tennis, billiards, etc. are free.

The choice of food is absolutely amazing. We were very overwhelmed every day by the varied and high quality food. Both the 3 free restaurants and the buffets have always convinced us. The selection of drinks is also very large. There is a huge selection of cocktails (which I highly recommend) and soft drinks. Wine, beer, sparkling wine, liqueurs, schnapps, etc. are also offered. At the bar you get the drinks in plastic cups, which I didn't find annoying as you could take them with you to the beach.

The entire area is very well maintained and you can stop every meter and take a photo, as everything looks beautiful. The beach was even screened several times, which really impressed me. Cleanliness was always encouraged, as the staff were very attentive. There are a lot of non-smoking areas, which was more or less complied with.

Aggressive security stopping you going on 'private' beaches! Firstly I don't understand what he was saying! But it is wrong to stop people strolling across the beach area, or paddling the waters edge..... How much of the ocean do they own?

The landscaping was very beautiful and very well maintained. Music is always very loud. This place caters to a lot of European people, I love to talk to other travelers but not very many people spoke English. The Buffett was good but repetitive. La Roca was horrible, food, service, everything was bad (we went to the buffet after because it was so bad). Bambu was good, service was excellent. Il Paco was also good. No waitstaff on the beach so you have to go to the bar that is always crowded and only one bartender. The rooms you don't get soaps, and coffee maker. To get fresh towels daily you need to put your used ones on the floor otherwise they don't give you any clean ones. To use the safe you have to pay $2 per day. Beach towels-they give you cards if you lose either one you owe $20 and they won't exchange wet towels from the day before for clean dry ones until noon. Not sure why that is, it's just dumb.

The best trip and stay I could have ... They are excellent

Dreadful. Unfortunately, we didn't arrive at the hotel until about 8.30 p.m. and were already looking forward to a bed after a 10-hour flight. However, sleeping in the assigned room was impossible. As soon as you entered the room you could smell the mold. I've never seen so much dirt and mold in a hotel room. You could hardly breathe. When we complained about the room at the front desk we were offered another room. But was the same only on a different floor. We were told that this is the only room they can still offer us at this time. We then unfortunately had to spend our first night there (in clothes and with towels laid out on the bed)
Only the next day at 4 p.m. we could move into another room thanks to our tour guide. That was very sparse but at least reasonably clean. In general, the cleanliness in this hotel left a lot to be desired. Never again!
The hotel only got the star for the beautiful beach and the beautiful, really clean (the only clean in this hotel) pool area. Unfortunately, that was the worst vacation I've ever had.

I have been there on several occasions for periods of up to a month, always in senior suites or bungalows, the rooms are tidy and clean with everything you need TV, air conditioning, large showers, minibar, etc.
The village is large and well equipped divided but united includes the Palace and the Beach both valid even if I prefer the Beach.
Restaurants well supplied and with a lot of choice and the possibility of attending another 6 or 7 for various evenings, the days fly by and the activities are many even a trapeze available to customers beyond the usual catamarans etc. etc.
I would like to clarify that this is a really large structure with many rooms and many people who work inside it and nevertheless it is constantly updated to improve its many structures and not leave it at the mercy of the ancient.
What can I say ... definitely worth trying and sifting through you can find excellent offers.

The hotel is good next to the Palace, this hotel is the cheapest and always full of people. The pool and beach always full. The food is good and bars too. If you want fun and noises and people, this is your hotel.
