This was my first visit with Dr. Cranmar. She is a wonderful addition to the staff. I received the same fabulous personal care I've always received at Virginia Eyecare. Each associate I came into contact with ensured that my needs were met. I remain a highly satisfied patient!

LOVE this place. State of the Art Equipment. Well organized. Well Staffed. Fees are explained in advance. Dr. Shay took her time with both my daughter and I. Started on time, received what I came for, no sticker shock at the end. All I need!

I was concerned when my doctor retired that I wouldn t find an eye doctor I was as comfortable with. However that was not the case. Virginia Eye Care came through with another excellent doctor! The entire staff provided excellent service. I would recommend them to everyone.

I think the doctors at this practice are excellent. My problem is with the front desk staff, who are less than friendly. If you can get past them you are OK.

Dr. Tim always answers my questions and is patient with me.

I have been coming to Virginia Eyecare Center for close to 20 years. The focus of the whole practice is the patient. Clear explanations, caring technicians and optometrists who truly listen to your needs and concerns. Dr. Anne is amazing. Contacts, glasses, sunglasses and today safety goggles, whatever I needed at reasonable prices.

Dr. T. was awedome! I recommend him highly. He is very thorough, knowledgeable and willing to explain things. I've been going to this practice for over eight years and they are like family now.

These are the best eye doctors in town hands down. Professional staff, extremely thorough examination. They spent an extra 30 minutes ensuring that a small fleck on a retina scan was nothing dangerous to my health. Everything was fast and I felt like a VIP the whole time. Definitely recommend!!!

This place was exceptional in every way possible! Being a military family we see a lot of eye doctors from a lot of different states. Dr. Kathryn Huebner was by far the best eye doctor my daughter and I have ever met. Not to mention how kind and funny the rest of the staff was. Highly recommend!!!!

Excellent eyes caregivers. Doctors do their examination with the utmost care and pay attention to every details and patiently answer all questions.

This was a visit to the optical department to order reading glasses. (Note: All staff members - receptionists and optical staff - were following the appropriate COVID-19 protocols). The service I received was very prompt and professional. I was met in the waiting area and escorted to the optical department. After explaining the reason for my visit a staff member showed me several frames that could be compatible with my facial features. She helped in picking one would best meet them. Then, the billing was sent to the front desk (electronically) for processing and payment. This entire process took no more than 10 minutes! My glasses then arrived 11 working days later, 2 days earlier than expected. Again, the service was great, the glasses fit perfectly and the new lens seem to be working better than the old ones. All in all, another great experience!

Doctors might be great. However, do not rely on their scheduling and reminding system much as you will not receive any text message or email reminder ahead of time. If you are by few minutes late, they will not wait for you, but will "move on" with other patients who somehow would already be there waiting at exactly your time spot. This is how efficient their scheduling system is

I appreciate the quality of care provided by the technicians. They have a deft hand at escorting patients through the various equipment/tests available. Their level of concern for patient safety and COVID protocol is top notch. I am a patient of Dr. Huebner. She is kind, compassionate, and thorough. I appreciate her calm demeanor and willingness to fully explain all that I need to know about my vision health. I highly recommend Virginia Eyecare Center.

I had a great appointment with Dr Weigel - she is amazing!

I had an urgent issue come up with my right eye. Virginia Eyecare saw me that day. Dr. Anne determined that I needed to see a specialist. Dr. Anne and her assistant turned over every stone to get me seen by a specialist as soon as possible. All the while Dr. Anne was calm & reassuring. They really went the extra mile for me. That's what you want from your provider.

I love Virginia Eye Care Center. Dr. Shay who is a warm and caring professional has treated me several times for eye infections and it has always been efficient and effective treatment. In addition, the support staff is also very patient centered and anxious to take good care of you. I recommend the center with no reservations.

Unfortunately this eye care center has a policy restricting some patients. I called to schedule an appointment and was told I would need my insurance ID number. I told the receptionist I would get it and call back if I could go ahead and schedule the appointment. She said she couldn t schedule the appointment without the ID number. I called my insurance company and was told I shouldn t need to provide my ID number to the eye center. Ultimately, that is the situation I found with another provider, so I went elsewhere. The receptionist was very nice but the site obviously has a poor policy in place.

Consistently high quality service for over 20 years with easy to understand explanations of examination results and why certain tests are needed. Comfortable and safe environment with excellent medical and administrative staff

Top notch. I was there at my appointment time and was seen right away. The entire process was done quickly, professionally and Dr. Tim answered any and all questions I posed in a friendly and understandable manner. Thanks and I recommend Virginia Eye Care highly!

My eye doctor, Dr. Courtney Shay, & the entire Virginia Eye Care Center's staff are wonderful! I highly recommend them for your eye care!

5 stars for Dr. Shay and the upstairs staff, 1 start for the front desk staff.

Dr. Shay is great, however some of the front desk seems imposed upon when they have to help you. And if you call, you go through the whole phone menu process, to be told all of their front desk personnel are busy please leave contact information and we will return your call. Except that 90 minutes later they still won't have returned your call. Additionally, I have been in the waiting area while the front desk staff make disparaging comments about a patient that called. Wonder what they say about me after I call (if I ever get to speak to someone).

I like Dr. Shay a lot, but I am not sure I like her enough to tolerate not having my calls returned, or getting attitude from the front desk staff.

Some of the people in the optical shop really push you to buy extras, they always recommend the more expensive frames first, and push for higher end coatings and lenses. And if you try to stay within your budget they go for the guilt trip.

Very thorough eye evaluation and great service with choosing frames and lenses. Highly recommend.

The technician and doctor were very professional and thorough. They patiently answered all my questions which resulted in a great visit.

I love the Virginia Eyecare Center! My son (7 years old) has been going there for a little over a year now and the doctor is so patient with him and makes each visit extremely comfortable! 10/10 recommend especially for children!

Dr. Hubner is great! She's thorough and very attentive to my patient needs. Their contact prices are the same or below the national bulk outlets (1-800-contacts) and with their customer service, I'll always give my business locally where they know me and live with the community.

My husband injured his eye and although Dr. Anne had a full schedule she managed to fit him in the day we called. She treated him with kindness and patience. My husband is Deaf and uses sign language. I went as his interpreter since masks make it impossible to communicate. She was thorough and gave him great medical advice to help heal his eye.

Dr. Mallory was very thorough taking time to examine my eyes and explaining every step of the testing. I felt very confident that I received the highest level of care possible.

We have always had excellent service from Virginia Eyecare Center. Dr Shay takes time with my children and we never feel rushed. The other staff is always friendly from the front desk through to their optical department. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them!

Appointment was on time. Exam was complete and every step explained.

We had wonderful service at Virginia Eye Care Center. We arrived at the office not knowing that they had called our house to let us know that our doctor was out sick, but instead of canceling or moving our appointment, Dr. Tim stepped in and missed his lunch to take my daughter for the appointment. I have always been impressed with the level of service provided by the caring doctors at Virginia Eye Care Center, and my eyes are very difficult because my distance vision is so poor and now my close-up vision is getting worse. Dr. Anne is terrific in helping me with my vision.

The staff is now incredibly friendly!! Positive attitude permeates the office!!

The front office staff and Drs are wonderful. The staff that works in the office where you buy glasses have the worst customer service skills I have ever encountered. They won't even respond to a question unless you check in at the front desk. This is my second horrible experience with that side of the practice. Because of them I am look to go to a new practice.

Damaged the frame on my glasses. Went to Virginia Eyecare where I purchased the glasses and they quickly repaired them. I always receive excellent service from them.

The staff is friendly, the environment is clean and the doctors are all wonderful. They're knowledgeable, compassionate and take their time to provide a thorough exam and clearly explain things, along the way. My family and I have been going here for many years and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for eyecare services.

Wow, I don't think I've ever had a doctor as engaged, understanding, knowledgeable, or kind as Dr. Anne. This was probably the best doctor visit I've ever had, and I'm not exaggerating. She listened to me, respected my ideas and concerns, and truly made sure I would be happy and healthy. The rest of the service was amazing too (from the front desk, to the techs, timeliness, etc.), but Dr. Anne just topped it off. Keep it up! Thank you!!

Dr. Huebner is excellent in all respects. She is thorough, professional and exceptionally kind. She takes her time with both examinations and explanations and is probably the most impressive eye doctor I've seen after 50+ years as an eyeglass wearer.

I had a wonderful experience with my recent appointment at Virginia Eyecare Center. Everyone was prompt and courteous. Dr. Lafreniere discovered a unsymtomatic retina problem, which I am now getting treated. I am so grateful for the thoroughness of his examination.

Staff was friendly and helpful. I think downstairs staff could work on being more friendly and welcoming. But then again, I went at the end of the day, and I'm sure like all jobs, everyone is tired and exhausted by then. I particularly thought that the person who helped me, Jas, was very honest and professional. I made some observations and can't say the same with all. The office was clean and all their exam instruments were up to date. I didn't get a chance to look at their glasses selection so can't tell if they have a good of a selection.

I have been a patient at VA Eyecare Center for several years and for the most part have seen Dr. Huebner. Dr. Huebner is thorough and kind, and she answers my questions calmly and clearly. I greatly appreciate her time and patience, as well as her sense of humor! The staff is very gracious, as well. I would recommend this practice without hesitation or reservation. Arlene

Absolutely recommend this office... I took my six-year-old, and every single person (from the receptionist to the technicians to the doctor) was absolutely fabulous. They were professional, they really took the time to listen, and they had the most incredible patience and kindness in conversing with my son.
