Great family resort! Lots of things to do! They even have babysitting!

I love going here, the place is nice, lots to do, staff is friendly and very attentive. I like the entertainment, I just wish they would have some more recent music. Everytime we have been, the music is more 30's & 40's

Older place (I don't mean historic. I mean old as in it needs a serious facelift). Older rooms, beds, etc. Worn out bowling alley and games. But their helpfulness and friendliness made up for much of that. They didn't pester us about joining and left us alone. That was much appreciated. Earned four stars because of that imho.

been a regular guest for almost 20 years. plenty to do, comfortable and clean rooms, excellent place out in the sticks.

My wife and I needed to get of the house and go for some hikes. We found a great deal on VRBO. The place is definitely a step back in time. Comedy shows, dinners in a ballroom, otb and a bar, inside heated swimming pool, huge game room to get rid of the kids. A few shops inside the main building, people congregate on the second floor by the bar and outside patio. We only did the dinners. Its a fixed price but it's a 7 course meal. Doesn't include alcohol, but did our second night, carafe of wine. It was like dining on the love boat is all I can say. A zip line, horse back riding, bumper boats and a beautiful golf course. The resort is in the middle of nowhere. There are a few farm stand, food store in town, we went up prepared with a full kitchen. Beautiful during foilage!

I ll be staying at Villaroma for Thanksgiving. I m reading all the reviews for Timeshare owners. I m just a bit nervous now in staying there. Don t know if I should cancel.

Rooms very well appointed, food good, nice location

Is a very relaxing place to hang out by the pool indoor outdoor let your kids go to the bouncy house or play shuffleboard or bocce ball great meals and a nice place to stay and go for a really nice walks the place is beautiful

The resort offers different amenities. The food is ok and the rooms are slightly old, but overall it's fun.

Outdated hotel not worth the money or the horrible treatment! They allowed Underage gambling, while they had Sercurity watching these kids do this. Also was disrespected by other hotel guest being racist against my family. I came with my family and was mistreated! Managment didn t solve anything but agreed to protect the illegal activities!

The service here is awful and the outside is a disguise for the hotel rooms that are worse than a holiday inn.

Great family resort, lots of activities for kids and adults. Thanksgiving dinner was delicious.

We are Checking out early. The place at least the timeshare exchange we received is not much of a room. Mattresses are killing our backs, bath faucet drips like crazy hot water cuts in/out. Went out for real activities daily, zip line is more of a clothes hanger.
Food here needs lots and lots of improvement a sentiment shared by everyone we talked to.
The place needs lots of work, locals state it was allowed to decay because the rumor is the resort is for sale.

Pools are nice however their idea of social distancing and Covid precautions are to mask up when you come to pool gate once you pass gate they don t care and all the chairs and lounges are all next to each other. It was not crowded last Sunday, today it s overcrowded.

Sorry Villa you miss the mark in many areas....

Come here almost every year for the last 20 years. Good family resort for a relaxing vacation, come with friends and family.

Been coming here for 40 years. It's had it's ups and downs, The past few years it's gotten Much better.

Fantastic family oriented resort with activities for all.

We only stayed one night. Dinner was the best part about the entire stay. Overall a bit too pricey for what they offer. Other than the lobby. The rest of the entire place needs to be updated. Serious face lift. Very old and unkept for the huge price tag. Bowling alley looked like it was falling apart. Parking lot was all broken up. The pool area and snack area was nasty looking. It really could be a decent getaway. But very disappointed overall

Reminds me of dirty dancing movie however the timeshare side needs new beds and furniture. Its clean but wore out

Large sprawling campus. With condos and many activities

The staff here is amazing. They ensure that you are enjoying your time. The activities are a lot of fun and it was a great time. The food here is excellent.

I was there for a theater conference and the staff was so accommodating to a bunch of teenagers.

Dining is lovely and the wait staff is excellent. Food was good .
Show was mediocre but entertaining .
Good experience in general.

The rooms are outdated and down right dirty. Bed bugs are in some of the rooms. Stay away.

We stayed in Villa Roma for a week May15-22 as a time share trial members, definitly open my eyes regarding time shere idea.
Insted of one bedroom suite we anded up in a small room ( time shere ripoff).
The rooms are very old and musty they definitely need updating, facilities needs an upgrade.
The beds were uncomfortable, the sheets and pillows were poor quality, and not worthed $250 per night,the same quality of room at Motel for 50 $ per night
The brochure was extremely hyped up. The place was very dull and did not have all of the wonderful things that they bragged about.

Stayed there in May 2018. Had a fantastic time. Resort took me back to the movie Dirty Dancing. Loved it. Accommodations were nice. Staff was amazing. They had activities planned all day and night which where fun. Didn t had to leave the resort for anything if you didn t want to. We went horseback riding at Bridle Hill Farm. Minutes away. Very mice.

We love this place.. we go every year... we ve been going to villa Roma since 2011ish.

This is a very nice place, with a diverse multitude of activities. So far I won a Texas hold'em tournament, saw a concert, played bingo, pool, ping pong, nice meals, and that's just the first day all without leaving the grounds. Still planning ziplining, horses, a magic show & competing in the talent show.

Venue is old but clean many things to keep you busy. Staff is friendly and helpful waite staff is above averedge.

The service the staff provided is not the best...they're not courteous and they probably needs to be nice to all kind of people.. any race.. they need to learn how to treat everyone equally and don't make exceptions.. once they make you feel in a certain way.. it becomes an issue.. is just how I feel..

I don't know where to start with this place. I have visited many hotels/resorts and this one wins the worst by a ENORMOUS margin. First the dinner menu. The menu literally has THREE entrees. There isn't a second page of food, it's a tiny menu printed on regular printer paper that they made in the morning. Nothing 4 star resort worthy food anyway. Just spare ribs as an entree. Next, the quality of hallways. It's awful I will tell you that. There are open fuse boxes all over the place which means that someone can turn all the power of with the flip of a switch and all the wallpaper in the place is peeling. Not to mention random stains on the floor. They come in a variety as well. Some are sticky and others are wet and squishy. Not very pleasant I assume. Next, the wifi. I'm pretty sure everyone wants to know about this, the wifi here is 1.5 mb/s. Which would be considered fast in the 1990's, a turtle would run faster than this internet. And even if you wanted to pay for faster internet, that's not an option, you are stuck. Next, the rooms. Oh my room was quite an adventure. The main feature was a beat up fridge just sitting in one corner of the room. Not to mention the scratched walls and small beds and TV that would always lose cable every few minutes. Next, snacks. We all get up late at night to get food, it happens. So I walk down to the cafe. And to my surprise a small group is dining. So I ask for a cake that is just sitting in a glass container. The cashier says no. WHAT?! People are dining and you can't give me a cake? It's like you go to mcdonalds and the order a burger. The cashier says burger machine broke, even though there is no burger machine and there is a pile of them right there. It's absurd. So I then procedd to go to the vending machine. Everything is either 75 cents or 1.25. So I attempt to put 2 dollars in, but as I put the 2nd in, the machine is blocking that from happening. I put a quarter in, the machine spits out the coin like it just went through it. That was my last straw with this place. If you enjoy a good resort for the family, with actual ROOM SERVICE, go to camelback. Don't go here.

I spoke very high and brought my friend's family along with mine. When we went to skiing slopes in the hotel property, they closed the slopes. Very disappointing. I felt ashames in front of my friend who came with me all the way from Edison, NJ. Hotel closed the slop[es because not too many people available and paying employees is not worth. I regret going there to Villa Roma. I will never recommend to any of my friends and relatives.

We own a timeshare here since it opened. Found black mold all over our room in building 19. Our in laws had a water main break in building 3. No response from maintenance. Checked out 3 days early even tho we pay our full fees and maintenance we will never return. Warning stay away. BLACK MOLD HEALTH HAZARD. They will paint roght over it and rent out the room next week

I like the Villa Roma decent pool maybe too much chlorine they need to fix the Jets in the hot tub and the steam room could actually do with being hot apart from that it's the only place around here

The place has seen better days. Huge place. Seems to be thrown together and expanded in several phases without regard to how each new addition meshed with to the earlier building. Many facility were run down and poorly maintained. There were lots of opportunities for different activities like hiking, tennis, basket ball (indoor and outdoor), swimming, etc. We were there in the off season so many were closed or not staffed.

Food was excellent. Staff was friendly. Room was cozy but needed improvement.

It was time for vacation, covid-19 around in FL, NY wants to penalize whoever that decides to go down south, I had to research in the area, that's when I found Villa Roma, Villa Roma is an awesome place, I didn't think it was going to be that good, cause we are used to get to waterparks, amusement parks, etc. Villa Roma have something for everyone, sports, entertainment, games, competition, pool fun, it's a huge field full of activities. There's always something to do to keep you and your family active.

Food, it's great, there are several restaurants with nightly offers, reasonable prices, not a huge bill compared to the ones I'm used to in NYC.

Night time, there's always entertainment going, from comedy shows to talent shows. We often go to Orlando for vacation because of the entertainment and water parks, We didn't miss it a bit thanks to all Villa Roma Resort offers, that's how great this place is.

Great place to stay, lots to do. Timeshares are great too.

Some of waiters were nice. Tony was awesome.

But if you go there from NY you won t like the food.
No spices. They put sugar in lots of things, most of their dishes I didn t like

The staff is the best part. The rooms are clean but feel antiquated. When we checked in, house keeping left 4 sheets of toilet paper on the holder...

The resort has plenty of things for people of all ages to do, and they really try to provide fun family entertainment for everyone. The meals at the main dining room have all been delicious and the wait staff was phenomenal. My only complaint would be that there needs to be some work done to help spruce the place up and they also seem to be a bit shorthanded at times. However all of my family from age 70 down to age 13 have had a wonderful experience and we would definitely come back. This is truly a treasure from the past. Thank you

This place is more like an abandoned ship than a cruise ship on land....

Great resort atmosphere, activities pool golf course

Having lived through the 60's the museum brought back many memories. I enjoyed it emmensely. Even if you were too young to remember that era and love rock, it would be an enlightening experience.

Sad, outdated resort strongly in need of a giant cash infusion and some fresh thinking from management. Terrible, 1970's furnishings, very uncomfortable. The entire suite made me want to dip my whole body in disinfectant.

Obviously an old facility, but lots to do on property to keep busy.

The staff at Villa Roma Resort is the best staff I've ever experienced. They were so conscious of our needs and helped whenever they could. The rooms were beautiful and there was always something to do.

Outdated rooms in need of renovation, you can tell that the resort's better days were about 15 years ago. However the staff is friendly and courteous and the golf course is kept in nice shape

Ive been coming to VR for 30 years and it is progressively go down hill. The rooms are outdated and the service is also declining. Its so sad cause it was so nice 30 years ago

This is a cute resort tucked in the Catskills NY. The pool seems like the place to be during the day, but there are plenty of other cute activities for the kids too. Zip-line, bumper boats, Rockwall, inflatables, bowling, arcades... The food is AMAZING if you purchase the dining package. There are other places to eat on the property if you decide not to purchase the dining package. The rooms are a little dated. You can hear everything happening on the floor above you. The staff is super friendly and willing to help you in any way possible.

Always an awesome time at the Villa Roma. We've been going there for over 20 years with the whole family and a close group of friends. If you're looking for a fun place for the entire family, the Villa is the place to go!

Was recently here for a brief vacation and was very impressed. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, the place has an traditional/old fashioned design, but the hotel is very clean and well kept up. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and theres tons of lounges and areas to relax and enjoy. A shuttle leaving from the hotel every two minutes takes you to and from the on site Ski Chalet, where you can where you can go skiing, tubing, and snowboarding. Across the street from the hotel is recreation center with racquetball, basketball, and volleyball courts, along with a fitness center, bowling alley, and bounce houses. In the main building there is a cool bingo room/night club, a heated indoor pool, steaming Jacuzzi and sauna, an arcade room, ping pong and pool tables, and a jungle gym. Theres a cute gift shop, cosmetics store, and clothing boutique. Theres a coffee shop, restaurant, and drinks lounge along with a gambling room. Had a great stay here, would definitely recommend for everyone to come check it out and I look forward to returning soon.

Old but nice. The only thing is the wifi that is not secure and not stable. Price of time share was worth it

We went there for a 40th year High School reunion, the food, service and quality was superb to say least! We had a great time, we may go back and stay there for the weekend 50th year anniversary of Woodstock at Bethel NY!!!

Timeshare units are nasty. They NEED to be CLEANED properly and even UPGRADED BIG TIME. The couch, beds, pillows, carpets, floors are like 100 years old. Gave me the heebeegeebees the whole time I was there.

Our family Loves Villa Roma. We have a great time every year. We have been going for the last 10 years. They have so much to do for kids and adults.

Excellent resort! You can enjoy horseback riding, skiing, hiking and bowling all in the Catskills. They provide salon and Spa services with an indoor pool, jacuzzi and sauna. Great packages for family and groups with time-share.

The entertainer was terrible. Could not carry a tune even though Barry Manilla is ready to sing!

It's time to pass the torch. I see the older generation feeling left out only enjoying the the very young playing. Many of these looking to sell their time share. The following generation of children seem more interested in drinking and passing off the task of entertaining their kids to the grand parents. This in the long run in my opinion Will not only hurt Villa Roma which I think is a in beautiful part of our country. But could change your entire base. A family oriented base that your resort has been for generations famous for. Please consider my suggestions some of which were made to your staff .When someone goes on vacation they don't like to be denied activities or function only on certain days obviously weather permitting. But for the most part the lack of staffing?? As lve been told. When we stayed we found that that was problem. No offense but your resort does not have that many activities especially for children that it can afford to shut down these few things we have to entertain them. I hope this criticism is taken the way I truly intend for the betterment of all who come to Villa Roma. We did enjoy our stay and your staff were great. Thanks for listening.

I had a great stay here! I loved all the staff and management, they were very friendly. I learned how to play bocce and ended up doing pretty well! Thanks for a great, fun stay during my conference.

Excellent place for families to go on vacation. My parents own a timeshare and we've been going the same week for over 20 years. I have lifelong friends because of Villa Roma. 5 stars from me. But be careful, people take the 10:15am Bocce tournament very seriously.
