Lots of things to see, they keep stuff up to date and also lots of interactive places

Very cool local attraction. Fun for kids and adults alike.

An excellent museum that showcases every form of transport imaginable. Much more comprehensive than it initially looks. Can be a bit of a walk from town.

It's is a must visit place for any technology enthusiast. Trains, flights, ships... it's all here.

Excellent for both children and grownups. Pity that the entrance is a bit too expensive, even for Swiss standards.

Much to discover for young and old. The mostly 40-minute documentary films at Imax are recommended. Unfortunately not exactly cheap.

Beautiful cars, boat, trains ! The planetarium is a very cool experience but a part of the planetarium isn't translated(in French+ English)... The mediaworld is not very cool cause at 5pm you can't test the VR and experiences...

Museum full of all vehicles from the dawn of human era, visited during Switzerland visit in 2005 and then in 2012

Great museum, all about railways and locomotion. You can do a lot. Always has little highlights. You should have time to discover everything.

I have never seen such a beautiful, such attentive, such delightful museum, I would say at least 5 hours. You must go.

Very nice museum, very well organized. All the staff speak perfect French and they are really adorable and smiling! Everything is translated also in French. The outside is composed of multiple games for children in addition to those who are inside it is really great.I recommend 1000% this museum

Always a great place and if you are a Raiffeisen member, you get in cheaper.
It's just a shame that you now pay extra for the planetarium.

Great and huge museum with lots of things to do for children of all ages

Great and interesting collection. Unfortunately, the settlement at the box office is organized dilettantisch and associated with long waiting times.

Excellent place to visit with kids as there are many interactive activities.

There is a lot to experience. Always something new. Back then a good 10 years ago, when I was last in the Verkehrshaus, there were many other attractions. Now there are more and they are very successful. Very well implemented. I was first in the museum, from about 1 p.m. there was a film (Waale 3d), we could then go back to the museum with the same ticket. All clear, the ticket is valid several times (on this day).

A must if anyone has never visited it there is something for everyone

We spent 5 hours there ... We would have had to stay 2 hours more to see everything and participate in all the entertainment. A must!

The museum must have been good 10-15 years ago. Today many parts no longer work well or are completely outdated technologically. For children, there is no need for more fun, but adults are a little hungry, too bad!

For me one of the most exciting places in Switzerland. So much history, innovations of the last decades and regularly new things. I especially recommend the "Chocolate Adventure" to everyone. Mediated chocolate production.

A fantastic museum! At least half a day can be spent here looking at the massive amount of exhibits. There's even a Swissair jet airliner to walk through. A lot of the exhibits are 'hands on" so you can try driving a train or a Swiss post motorbike! Very impressive and well worth the entrance fee.

Definitely recommended, if you have never been! Great for families.

A must see museum. The best transport-themed museum I've ever visited. There are numerous simulators and interactive experiences.
The price (high, compared to the Italian or other countries average) is however adequate for the quality, organization and cleanliness of this place.

It is a pity not to have had more time available: to see it all, we should budget to spend an entire day there.

As a Lucerne I am, of course, particularly proud of the wonderful Verkehrshaus. I am always fascinated by the versatile exhibitions.

Super huge museum with loads of activities. Ideally deserves no less than 3 hours especially if you have kids going with you. 4 giant sections to cover.

Endless possibilities to explore unique and cool stuff- we have annual passes and kids don t get tired of all the interactive features of this place... highly recommended for kids of all ages!

Very interesting. Lots of things to do and see, for adults and children.

It is a must see, nothing can be better than that. The way it is presented it is awesome, also recommend that go-to aircraft zone first and that too in helicopter simulator.

It is said that it is the largest transportation museum in Europe, it was a lot more spectacular.
And can also flight simulators and space experience, you can enjoy adult.
On weekends, it seems to be very crowded, so if you plan on sightseeing, weekdays are recommended

Very complete and interesting museum, even if you don't really have anything to do with transportation. There are very many interactive components. In this way you are really involved in what you see. A visit to the planetarium is definitely recommended!

Extremely many and exciting exhibits and also the organization into different theme worlds is good. Unfortunately, the "gamification" in the exhibition design has taken the upper hand and with smaller children, who have not long attention spans, the visit degenerates a little to the carnival. Joystick there, display there, VR game there, ... For me, the visit felt like an epilepsy test and the overdoing behavior of the school classes present reinforced this impression.
Even at the risk of appearing old-fashioned, less new-media frippery would be more IMHO.

Very very nice museum, it is fun, comprehensive, informative, interactive and also great value for tickets price ( entry price is a bit high comparing with many other museums i visited) Prepare to stay for the day, it is surprisingly fun and big to visit for both kids and adults.

Wonderful place, lot of information on marvels of human engineering. From tunneling, trains to flying machines and building ships. Lot of interactive fun for children and adults alike.

It is very interesting and you also learn something.

The museum is very big and interesting, but most of it is translated in english, most of the time i was taking photos with the google camera translator to understand the explanations. That's why I give it only 3 stars.

Must visit place for people who are interested in knowing the growth and transformation of transport modes! It is not like an ordinary museum where just look at the specimens kept there. They have activities where people can get involved.
