Great place to spend the day with the family. Very interactive - kids entertained all day!
Best interactive museums I have visited. Plan to stay there for at least 3 hours if you want to carefully check all the rooms and exponates out there. Big parking near the museum. Plenty of different transport types and various models for every class. Must be visited.
A little boring and really huge. For kids is perfect. If the weather is bad, or your children's just bring them here, they will be happy.
Awesome museum! They do a great job making the exhibits both fun and informative. Wish I could spend more than the 2 hours I had
Show d +, I went with the school, someday I want to take a free day and go again on my own
In my opinion, this museum needs to be renewed a bit
A great outing idea for children and ... adults !!!
Nice place to see in luzern but u need full day here u can eat also for kids also u can find play area
the best place to introduce for everyone transport history and achievements
Fantastic museum for kids and lovers of all transport means. Good activity for kids both on rainy and sunny days.
The Verkehrshaus Luzern is always worth a visit. A lot has been rebuilt and renovated in recent years, both inside and out. You always discover new things and it never gets boring. Suitable for all seasons.
Great day trip for familes and others interested in the history of transportation in Switzerland.
Awesome place to spend a day with (or without ) your kids. We go there at least once a month. Our son loves it. Trains, plains, cars, cable cabins, ships, space...
Should adjust prices of the weather, much too expensive with the family, if you can not use anything in the outdoor area during heavy rain
Nice place to visit, especially with the kids a lot to see and there are also amusements as well as the restaurant.
So much to see and do! Very interesting and interactive. I would recommend this to anybody who is in Lucerne
Very interesting. Good for children as they can touch and try everything.
Well organized, child friendly, interesting, but a little expensive
Actually, I only just passed by on the way to catch the bus. I have heard other the price, it's very interesting.
The Verkehrshaus in Lucerne is my most visited museum. When I was a child, I regularly went to this museum with my parents or relatives. It fascinated me again and again and I still have fond memories of it today. A lot has been rebuilt or modernized in recent years. Every museum has to adapt a little to the current time. There are railroads, planes, ships, cars and other technical gadgets to marvel at. The IMAX 3D cinema and the planetarium are also worth a visit. And there is also a good restaurant.
Great place to spend with children ... only on weekends better avoid them. It is usually very very crowded.
Very interedting, well laid out, and fun challengung activities throughout. Beautiful buildings and displays.
A diverse museum with a history of making trains, cars, motorcycles and planes, the place is very organized
Very exciting, mainly only Swiss products, everything labeled and described, well maintained, no problems with parking
Fantastic displays of all modes of transportation. Great for kids of all ages! Especially the in-depth presentation of the Gothard Base Tunnel.
30.- ??
rip off. what a shame what has become of the great transport house of yore.
Exciting exhibition built with great attention to detail
The railway station is up to Mount Lichi. See the snow mountains and glaciers. Height 1784 meters.
Swiss Museum of Transport, it is superb everything is concentrated there: cars, motorcycles, trains and trams, boats, old Swissair airliners ...
Everything is well explained it is very large the rooms as the outside.
There are several possibilities to access it by train, car, bus, boat and on foot along the lake from the station.
The most convenient train and bus.
Beautiful museum. Interesting collection. Lots to see and do.
Must see when staying in switzerland!
Large museum on transport and media.
Good SB restaurant and separate cafe. Digital Planetarium and the only Swiss IMAX Theater in the same museum. Very varied, very family friendly with exhibitions and attractions for all ages (1-110)
Access with limited mobility fully implemented (including restaurant, sanitary, planetarium, IMAX)
Attractive temporary exhibitions, permanent exhibits and exhibition parts are constantly being revised (occasionally parts of the museum are restrictedly accessible - conversions take place in the off-season)
Live events and matinee according to the calendar on the website.
Measures favorably with the world's best transport and transportation museums, and is actually surpassed only by the Smithsonian Center for Earth and Planetary Studies!
A super nice destination. Here you can experience great things, learn, play. A trip for the whole day.
A hands-on experience in the history of transport. Good for an entire day with some really exciting shows that take place at certain times in the day.
It was so crowded with no supervision or guidance from staff to help the kids
Works equally well for adults and children of all ages. Something for everybody in the whole family!
The best museum we have ever been. It's so child friendly and unbelievably interactive. Loads of games to play. A mini ski jump, I.interactive train driving rides. The list is endless
Interesting and interactive, lots of activities even for younger children
Great ! Cheap with Raiffeisen and super cool museum! Lots of activities to do and discover
There is a lot to see and do. There is something for every age.
However, I think the entrance fee is pretty high.
The price / performance ratio was great. Recommended.
Incredible place that tells a fantastic story about means of transportation.
Great day out with the children! So much to see AND do. There is something interesting to everyone, from ages 1.5 to 100+! We also like the restaurant, which has a good selection of dishes, including vegetarian and child-friendly menus. There's also a salad bar and a soup option (this could be improved). Coffee, teas and desserts are on offer. The restaurant gets busy from 12:00 to 13:30.
The recommended for families, young and old. From my point of view, the food itself, as the prices are not necessarily family friendly.
Otherwise 5 stars.
It's a great place. When it rains the restaurant is totally overwhelmed with people eating on the ground and outside activities are not available which makes a lot of the museum a little boring for the little ones. The most successful area is the conquest of space and aviation. I found the staff really not friendly.
A little expensive but lots of interesting properties.
Well worth going here and suitable for children and adults of all ages. Many interactive child friendly areas. Not the cheapest but worth getting the ticket and spending the day here. Chocolate tour, cars, trains and aeroplanes and many you can get up close to and enjoy. Cafe rather expensive and underwhelming, staff not very helpful suggest you take a sandwich. Plenty of parking immediately adjacent to the museum. Won t be your cheapest day out but a good choice for the whole family
I did not think I found an interesting museum but pleasantly surprised I advice (from someone who does not often museum)
Come rain or shine (lots to do inside and outside) this is a great day out for the kids. Great to learn about transport history.
The IMAX offers a very good movie experience at normal cinema prices. Always good movies like James Bond. Unfortunately, you can not buy popcorn or eat inside.
As always, very interesting and fascinating for all ages. Unfortunately it was rainy weather and therefore very crowded. But you should have expected that.
Too good that some places are closed during our visit.
