I wish all museums were like this! Very tactile with things for people of all ages. I had it recommended to me by a friend and was a little skeptical but I'm glad I went. For anyone with children, this is how you enthuse them about science and technology!

This museum was pretty good. Maybe the car section could be improved, and the aviation section. They should add more aircraft that you can go into, like the big SWISS plane that is in the big open area. And add more aircraft seats such like the A380, A320, etc;And the trains could have more train simulators because the que always is long (depending on the time of day you go And also more Trains and trams that you can go into because it sometimes you can get a little disinterested when you look through the windows only. Kids love interacting with things ! This can be a major improvement!

Fantastic experience. If you are a tourist in Luzern, do budget a half day here as time flies fast when you are there. To add to it if you decide that you want to watch the show at the Planetarium, take the chocolate experience and a movie at their theatre, then it is going to take longer. All in all it is all very worth it. If you have a Swiss Pass you get a 50% discount on the entry to the museum.

Great museum for all ages and all weathers. The exhibition is being renewed regularly, making every visit different. If you want to go twice a year or more, don t forget to look at the yearly family pass. It s worth after 2 visits.

Hygienic measures .

Hygienic measures .
Eating is everywhere in the interior. This should be forbidden. The face mask is taken off when eating. Distance equal to zero.
Hygiene concept on the staff side is zero, especially in the flight and helicopter simulator. All visitors touch the same joystick. Will not be disinfected.
It is to be hoped that I did not catch any corona.

In my opinion, the best technology museum in all of Europe. Really has something. A great place for technology and visitors. Children were also thought of! There are enough seats and nobody has to starve. Great exhibitions! Great.

Experience the world of transport with games like team play and ship driving experiences. Explore rich Swiss transport expertise and simply be awed by engineering that had made possible last mile connectivity to snow tops and steep travel gradients. Simply amazing.

Today we had a very nice day at the Verkehrshaus, even without children. For both young and old it is exciting, if you are interested in technology. Particularly interesting: The history of the Gotthard Base Tunnel and the Monteverdi cars.

Gastronomy: stag goulash. Was absolutely fine for a canteen dinner. Ambiente rather furniture store. Salad was fresh.

4 out of 5, because it is always better. 4.5 stars actually, but 5 is not enough.

You could finish the museum in 2-4 hours(depending on your ticket) if you're without kids.
We were there for 7 hours, with just the basic package and just about finished it. (2 breaks for food, small kids).
Picnic allowed !!
Media world is only for kids 12 and over !!
Kids thoroughly enjoyed.
We'll do just the planetarium another day.

A very entertaining and very enriching museum, as much fun for children as for adults. Always a guide at your disposal, to know a little more and be able to ask questions.
Several parts to discover, allow 4-5 hours contained in the area.
Too bad it closes at 6 p.m. for summer time but we will be back with pleasure

Fabulous ! In summer for children it's amazing. A huge park at the play center, everything is free. There is even a real size yard where children can use everything (safety ok, there are even helmets). There is also an IMAX cinema and so on. Allow several days!

Very disappointing. We wanted to go to the Verkehrshaus for two (both were the last time we went to school tens of years ago).

We were also able to walk briefly through the various exhibitions.
Conclusion: You have to come here if you are really enthusiastic about trains, boats or planes or if you have children. However, I am amazed that a nominal-income family wants to afford such an expensive entry ...
Price / performance are not in balance for me (at least not if you only come in the afternoon)

A classic in the Swiss amusement / museum landscap...

A classic in the Swiss amusement / museum landscape.

For a little over 20 years I have visited the Museum of Transport again.

The day pass (including planetarium, Chocolate Adventure and museum admission) costs an impressive CHF 56.-

There is an old simulator right by the entrance, children of course see this and want to ride with them immediately. Cost: CHF 6.-

First we visited the Chocolate Adventure.
It's well done, but gives only a very superficial glimpse.
The price of CHF 16. - I find massively too expensive. The "journey" takes 20 minutes and is peppered with advertisements from Swiss chocolate manufacturers.

The museum: very exciting and informative. Unfortunately, the exhibits are very old and are sometimes very poorly maintained.
Touchscreen and games very often do not work or are not even active or accessible due to Corona!

The inner courtyard offers plenty of space for the children. Unfortunately here too: A single advertising event from various construction companies: Anliker, Holcim, Marti, etc.

The summit is the Gartenbahn, a small railway that runs through part of the inner courtyard. The journey costs an additional CHF 2.-.

The food is OK, self-service food on a medium level in what I consider to be an uncomfortable atmosphere.

Conclusion:
The traffic is worth a visit, but the price is way too high, especially If you also take into account the omnipresent advertising.
I would not visit Chocolate Adventure again and would not recommend it to anyone.

It is awesome but just 1 problem is that there is a playing area where we need to ride a trotti bike which is manual and roam around then there is a car driving school like thing in that they should allow minimum 5 people any time as there are time slots which are way too long and the park closes at 6 so the last slot is at 5.00 pm/17.00 but it is worth doing and just visit it early morning while ot opens so that you can do every little thing possibe in the swiss museum, the chocolate ride by lindt and all of the things
