Big playground for big and small

A great destination for young and old. There are many originals here. Starting with trains, by car, airplanes, boats etc. For the small children are always play and discovery corners available. On the outdoor courts, the children can ride a scooter and there is a large children's playground where the little ones can play.

Solid museum. Cars, trains and planes galore. Easily eats up 4-5 hours of your time

Had a 1 1/2 hour night tour with flashlight. Pleasant group leader, interesting new objects and great food in the restaurant.

Always worth a visit. My little daughter was particularly taken with the chocolate railway. Probably because of the delicious chocolate you get there

This is the best museum I ve ever been to. Must see on your list in Lucerne.

Something for every age, offers a lot of entertainment for families.
We've been there several times and the kids liked it every time.

Very informative, everyone finds their account. Allow about 2 hours to make the tour, that of the museum after there is the planetarium.
There is food and drink on site. The prices are quite affordable.
The planetarium is also an activity not to be missed.
Interesting for young and old.

Too expensive and full admission although an exhibition is closed.

Too much to see in a single day. Too bad the current expo "media world" was buggy as hell. Touch wall didn't work. Green screen experience for kids didn't record photos.

Incredible place with hours of viewing for all the family. Never been up to now despite frequently coming to Switzerland.

Interesting museum about the development of traffic in Switzerland. It will illuminate the train, the car, the shipping and the plane.

The museum is huge, and it s definitely geared towards children. When I went, I felt like some of the exhibits were more interesting than others. I can remember one exhibit in particular that felt like a pinball game that was somehow supposed to be representing moving passengers from airport to airport. There were a lot of exhibits like that silly games that have transport-themed skins, not adding much to the understanding of the impact that transportation has had on the world. All that said, I think most 4-7 year-olds would have fun here.

A magnificent museum where there is everything related to transport. There are many possibilities to experiment with machinery in the halls. Very useful explanations also in Italian. Entry price a little expensive !!
Possibility of making piknik in many places. covered and outdoors

Excellent place for going also with children. You can spend an entire day there. There are also some simulators for helicopter and plane flights

The best transportation museum I have ever seen. A bit pricey, but sooooo good for kids. You really could spend most of the day here. There is a lot to do and a lot to explore. Very interactive. I wish the price was a bit lower, but everything is twice as expensive in Switzerland as it should be.

I haven't even been there for a long time and I was very surprised how versatile it was expanded with a lot of passion and commitment The Verkehrshaus is always worth a trip, especially with children, there is a lot to discover to play Boats with which you can drive around on what is on the water can trains with which you can cover a short distance outdoors and much more

Many things cannot be done due to Corona, but pay the full entrance fee!

Great museum, great place for children and adults. There is something for everybody and a great learning experience. We will go back for sure

Our children particularly appreciated the many outdoor activities and 'adventure playgrounds'. Very beautiful and diverse, also stimulates the play instinct in adults. The Verkehrshaus is a museum 1a, but too big to see everything in one day. My recommendation: rather focus on one part and look at the rest on a later visit.

One of the greatest museums in the world. In which you can touch almost everything. There are many things to try. There is something for both children and adults. The exhibition is so extensive that you can barely manage everything in one day.

Nice museum. It is great that you can only make the exhibition or even all the film screenings, etc. So the entire pack can choose. Especially with children makes sense depending on the age. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Gladly again.

We spent a beautiful day full of emotions. Our visit lasted 7 hours and it was not enough to see and read everything. Even the quote from Lucerne was a great emotion ... congratulations

It's huge, a lot for big and small, lots to try and learn. Highly recommended. Was there for the first time and I am thrilled, will go again if my little son (he is 9 months) is a bit bigger so we can try out there together. Nevertheless, my son was very interested in his age and very curious looked around.

A must see if you are in lucern. You need a good 5 hours or more. Even if you don't think you are into transport give it a try you'll be pleased you did.

Best day out with kids. U can spend a whole day there with kids. They will enjoy a lot.

The Museum of Transport is actually always worth a visit. I enjoyed going there as a child and now, as an adult, I also enjoy it with my child. I just find the entrance fee and the parking fees very expensive. As a family you leave a lot of money behind. The location is ok. If you drive off at the wrong moment you have been stuck in traffic on the 1st street for a long time.

Great new hall, outdoor area with construction site is the hit for children, a few more shovels would be great.

Great place to visit if you're a fan of Planes, Trains, and Automobiles, and you believe that John Candy and Steve Martin missed the boat by not including boats in their movie. The place is huge.
I do have 1 complaint: the ticket agent, upon hearing my say I was visiting from Michigan said Go Blue. Everyone knows it's Go Green! Go White!

I found the visit absolutely worthwhile! I need interactive stations and things to touch. Here you can find various areas of rail transport, cars, shipping and aviation. The Red Bull Media World. So it is worthwhile to come during the week and outside the holiday season, otherwise it is just overcrowded and you can hardly experience anything yourself. I could really try everything. In de Media World not all devices worked, which is certainly very annoying at high crowds. The fighter jetsimulator is really cool :-) Here I am sure again!

Superb museum. I recommend it. However, you should absolutely avoid the museum restaurant. Far too expensive! Example: Hot Dog = CHF7.-... frankly blah

Admission prices are fierce. But the toilets are warm and clean. Also has a lot to do with traffic there, but not every kind of traffic. One of the stupidest exhibitions of vintage cars worldwide.

Very beautiful museum, the locomotives are magnificent, on the other hand a coca cola at 8 francs, not accessible for everyone, not enough space, coffee etc ... The rest is magnificent

The museum: the top, really good! The very welcoming staff make the effort to speak French, the activities are numerous.
By cons the restaurant Mercato (self-service) e will not return. Next time, my picnic will be better (see my rating on this property!)

Good place to spend time with kids. The quality and variety of the display is very good. Especially the kids will enjoy the chocolate tour.

It is great for any age. For the kids on the outside it has several very entertaining things. If you live in the area I recommend you to become members because you can go all year round for the same as going 2 days paying admission. The planetarium, theater and some exhibition is paid separately. Very entertaining.

Excellent museum with all aspects of transportation and their history in Switzerland. They have oddities like cable cars and boats along with a number of trains, a DC-3 and a Convair 990 Coronado!

Always great. Was often here with my family as a kid. A lot of different exhibitions and interactive things to do and experience yourself. The entrance fee is a bit high but still in my opinion. Recently there was also a food festival here which was also very good. Many different stalls and enough space to sit. The music was a bit too loud and therefore you could not talk very well. All in all, I really liked it.

It s an amazing museum for all the ages! Almost all exhibits are interactive or play based, they explain so much about transportation, trains cars buses airplanes whatever is your interest. There is a large free play area at the center with so many riding toys that anyone can use and several activities that are really fun! Totally worth it!

Interesting museum divided by topics according to the buildings, not to be missed. Really suitable for all ages.
