What an amazing museum. There are interesting exhibits, hands-on stuff for the kids (and the young-at-heart), excellent food in the cafeteria. Access is easy by bus. The train exhibit was my favorite as I have always loved trains. There are steam and electric trains. Conventional trains, cog rail and funicular rail exhibits. I could easily spend a day just in this section. The automobile and motorcycle section was unique in that there is a whole wall of vehicles in a rack system that are retrieved by a robotic mover system for a focused presentation. Lots of unusual cars you won't see in many other museums. The outdoor play area for the children has kid-size and kid-powered construction and earthmoving equipment, boat rides, a ship and land container system and more! We barely had time for the sea and air portions after enjoying the train and auto exhibits and a delicious lunch. Highest recommendation!

Definitely worth seeing. There is always something to see. For children of all ages, it is interesting and varied. Despite many people there is always enough space and you can see the exhibition well. We recommend.

Okay, the name is boring, but this place is actually dope. You could easily spend two full days here. So much variety and effort all in one place - it's really impressive.

Don't forget to go to the aircraft section which is a bit hidden away! That area had some of the best and most interactive elements.

Pretty much to see! It is best to schedule two days here. Best one for the museum and one for the remaining attractions such. the planetarium. Everything is explained, there is something to discover everywhere and even to experience up close. Clear recommendation,

Since it is quite expensive, I unfortunately cannot give full marks. Also because some devices inside are also chargeable. Otherwise it is of course an ideal destination for the whole family to spend the whole day there.

We spent a great day with our two preschool children. There was a lot to try and touch, prepared for young and old, there was also plenty of time off: with trottis, articulated buses to sit on, construction vehicles to pedal and more.
The entrance fees are rather high for a family, but agree with the services. We will definitely be back

Great place for kids. Most of the fun seems to be outside at least for my kid (trampoline, cart driving, boats and construction equipment). A lot of interactive exhibits are engaging for kids and fun for adults. A bit pricy but a great place to spend the afternoon after making your kid spend the morning visiting "booring" part of Lucerne. Also very close to Lido.

We got a day pass for 56 CHF and easily spent 5-6 hrs inside. We didn't have time to see each and every exhibit. Good time to spend with kids. Worth for the money and you will love it for simulators that you can try. Planetarium, Lindt chocolate tour, reflecting mirrors all are worth it!!

Excellent for kids and adults also. You can spend the whole day here. Especially good fun the outdoor construction area where kids can play with dumpers, excavators. Also they can transport goods via train, truck, ship. This place is super interactive. Make sure you have time for the mini steam train.

Excellent place for a weekend outing with or without kids!
The museum is quite large and the vintage cars show is fantastic! Kids loved the mirrors room. The food choice wasn't great and the prices are quite high but we were not going there for food anyways. Highly recommend the museum and the cinema part too.

Great place to spend some discovery time with the family. I find it a shame to leave the museum grounds to eat or have to resign ourselves to eating sausages or the like in the courtyard under the plane. With our 1 year old and a half we would have preferred to feed her something more breast.

Do NOT buy tickets online via google - you buy online, but then need to collect the real ticket on-site. You are still wasting time in the queue.
Google & Trip Advisor - this is misleading & unacceptable!
