Surprisingly delightful museum - my 9 and 12 year old kids totally loved it.
Very informative museum to see
Trains, cars, ships, ............
I'll be back for sure
Very nice planetarium and a really nice insight into aerospace engineering as well as shipping, train and car industries! Unfortunately a lot of annoying little brats and nagging children, but the facility can't do anything about that. Definitely recommendable!
Really nice!!! If you are interesstet in technic and history of movement you are right in place there. Im going in verkehrshaus since Im a little boy and every time was a nice trip!!
We went to the brunch with a subsequent film report about Australia and both were worth experiencing. The brunch was fantastic and left nothing to be desired and the subsequent film about Australia was really worth seeing. Unfortunately, the film was already over.
Absolutely to recommend for years still very interesting.
You can have very cool experiences here. I think you see something new every time which is very exciting.
Great museum for big and small (also from 2 years) and again and again, there is so much to discover and try out. I often compare other museums with the Verkehrshaus and hardly any of them can keep up. Nowhere else can you try, touch and learn so much.
Wonderful ... from 3 years old (my grandson's age) to 59 years old (my age) ....
So greaaat place so cool just try to come before 12pm amizzing
There are many different things to see. There are many trains and you can also simulate driving. There are many exhibits ranging from airplanes to spacecraft that you can see and experience. The fighter simulations have an extreme degree of freedom in which the cockpit actually rotates 360 degrees, so it can be used as a real air force simulation. There is a large structure on the universe that experiences gravitational changes that open every hour on the hour. The structure, which is about two stories high, rotates slowly, and you can experience the walls on the floor and the floor on the ceiling.
Came to play for an hour or two and played all day.
I would have imagined more of it, at least at Media World.
Fairly rich content, will take at least 5 hours if you are just visiting museum with interest to see all...
That was perfect you can spend a day there there are alot you can see or do.. Great for kids also.
It has a lot of exciting things and great offers for adults as well as for children. The Verkehrshaus is also very nicely located on the lake and can also be easily reached by car or public transport. We had a very good time with the whole family! Thank you so much!
This is a great place for kids young and old! Plenty to see and plenty to do.
Brilliantly conceived and presented museum with especially strong railway section and excellent model of old Gotthard route that operates every half hour or so.
Liked it a lot. Its great for small kids and adults alike. Half a day won't get you through the entire exhibition if you're planning to take time to actually look at things.
As always, good time at the museum of transportation. We have a family annual entry. Always new stuff.
Must visit if in Luzern!!! Vividly discriptive
about different modes of transport used in different eras of modern human history.
A must see if you are in Lucerne. The museum has on display a vast array of means on transport. The flight simulator is also something to try!
A very good museum for transport enthusiasts, including simulations of train, fighter plane are realistic.
Fun place and very well laid out, we discover many beautiful vehicles of all kinds.
I do not regret this moment.
Plan well 5:00 to go around.
Been to Lucerne twice and visited this museum both times. Combination of air, train and cars a must see if you are in Lucerne.
Great insight into the technology. Lots of activities for children (interesting even for 2-3 year olds).
Very nice museum, very busy day with the children, many little games / activities to do to discover the different means of transport.
Very much to see and experience even for toddlers. As a Raiffeisen member 50% discount on the admission ...
This is a phenomenal facility. There is so much to see and interact with, you really need 2 or 3 days to take it all in.
Very nice for family outings, informative, entertaining and more and more interactive! Was with my daughters only in the museum and price / performance was perfect. The restaurant did not convince me 100% (French fries were very good) and the star is lost. Looking forward to the other attractions in the house when my children are 6 and older;)
beautiful museum for adults and children of all ages.
A must go technical and history museum for young and old.
Incredible place for all day activities inside and outside. Very interactive for both kids and adults. Good for every age. Exposition changes.
We were in the Verkehrshaus with our two grandchildren - it was a very exciting and interesting day. And even for us two old people there was a lot to discover :-)
Very good activities for kids. You can return few times.
The best museum in the world for kids, and pretty fantastic for adults too!
Very good and educative for kids. If you are in Switzerland to see the beauty of Alps in a short trip of less than 7 days then one may focus on the Alps, the lakes, the scenery and the country side... but if one could spend 0.5 day then this museum would be a very good experience (for all and not just for kids).
Plan a few hours, there's lots to see. If it has wheels, floats, flies or can go to space, you'll see and learn something about it here.
There's also a large screen movie theater, a planetarium and currently an exhibition on the history of chocolate on site. These cost extra, an annual pass will get you a discount there as well as in the shop.
An excellent and interesting exhibition to learn about the means of transportation from its industry to the present day
Super museum to stay and try. Playground for kids top
Always so much to see, plan a minimum day to go around
You can discover a lot there but we would need more time
Amazing experience for kids and adults! Don't miss it!!!
Great museum to spend a day with kids. The only downside is that it is a bit expensive
Loved it! So full of interesting and interactive stuff, which is also explained in English!
interesting place! Very suitable for small friends to play
Media world is about as exciting as a visit to media markt. So not red bull!
Must see Museum in Lucerne. At least you require minimum half a day. Very informative.
A wonderful place for adults and children alike; well organised and set up.
Fun place for kids and adults! Many real size trains, cars, airplanes, and demos!
Always amazing events are held at the Transport Museum Lucerne (Verkehrshaus Luzern).
A must-see museum, you can spend a whole day visiting it, AUTOMOTIVE, trains, cars of all ages .... Magnificent
You can see the history of transport. Cars, trains , Airplanes
Nearly perfect. Having been a member for the last 15 years I have seen the museum always evolving and developing. Especially since the floods of '07. My only concern is that prices are rising too quickly and membership covers fewer and fewer options (Planetarium used to be included in membership but not any more). Finally, while sponsors bring much needed support to the museum it's important to protect its individual identity.
Immense variety and wealth of exhibits, experiencing all of it is a multi day affair. Amenities are super clean and cater for every conceivable need. Be aware the museum is very popular with school class visits during term time.
The museum has many of the characteristics people often associate with Switzerland: well organised, clean, thorough, quirky and humorously self-deprecating.
Very nice and varied exhibitions!
The admission prices are quite high.
It a great museum. Lots of interactive stuff. It is very clean relly big and they have about everything from realsized plains to cars. Sometimes there are to many people bht it is still a really good museum.
Great museum with lots of history of trains, planes, boats, and space. My husband and I used our Swiss travel pass for 50% off, but it is worth the full price. A great opportunity for a family. Close to a bus stop for easy access.
Very interesting and exciting! Ideal family outing!
We can recommend it well for families with children from kindergarten age. With the museum pass the entrance fee is only half as expensive. The restaurant was very busy on Sunday and it was not easy to find a place for 4 people. The food was ok.
