Way better than Lakewood. This amphitheater is always clean and security is on top of things. Seeing the Steve Miller Band live wasn t too bad either.

It's a nice venue. I wish there was some air circulation in the ladies room and their trashcans should be rinsed out....they smell like rotting vegetables...so gross.
I love the venue, great acoustics and the right size Amphitheater
Rush 2012-11-01. Great venue. Staff in golf cart offered to shuttle me from handicap parking to gate!
Great concert venue. Food and drink proces are over the top. $13 for a crappy burger.
Great venue, but.....
Love seeing big name acts perform here, and you won't be disappointed. Here are some pro's and con's
Pro's:
- entry, exit and parking are well-handled (exception: the recent Keith Urban concert was not done well, with very long entry lines)
- good views of the stage from most areas, even most of the lawn
- lots of food and drink vendors; lots of restrooms (women's restroom lines can be long during intermissions)
- friendly staff
Cons:
- drink and food prices are much too high
- projection screens can only be seen well after dark - these should really be upgraded to video screens
- gates don't open until 1 hour before the concert - this should probably be changed to 90-minutes
Overall, a solid 4-stars, but I hope they improve some areas.
Too many cops glaring at me. I wasn't doing anything wrong. Just vaping in the smoking section.
Nice amphitheatre but would be better enclosed with air conditioning.
Very clean and we'll maintained!! Great place to see your favorite bands.
Nice but stage setting far away, not much walking room in seating area.
Great place to see good concerts. A great view everywhere you sit. They have lawn seats and the pavilion which is covered!
Plenty of parking and seating. Also has free water refill stations.
Great amphitheater, one of the cleanest and well kept Amphitheaters in the metro Atlanta area. The acoustics are awesome
Perfect venue for loud concerts. Security in sight making me feel safe, lighting good, sound good, well organized. My only complaint is the cost of food. That being said, I am thankful that they allowed me to bring in sealed bottle of water and had water refill stations. (It was very hot that day).
This was our first time here. we seen Nickleback. Loved it. Awesome all round clean bath room which is always great
Fantastic venue. Super clean, super friendly staff, not a bad seat in the house.
Open air, seats are great til someone sits in front of you,
Great venue! Well orchestrated by staff making parking rational in and out - lines but not log jammed. Standard forced routing on the way out may take you out of your way, but gets you out. Tailgating is permitted in most lots - atmosphere will depend on the show but generally people were friendly. Note - not all lots permit tailgating.
Amphitheatre had good views from most seats and decent sound quality. Not the steepest pitch so beware of blocked views (tall people). Lawn section is quite small but in reasonable shape - not entirely sure of the views, but the sound holds up well as it is close.
Restrooms are more than serviceable, standard venue setup. Didn't try food service.
We'd definitely go again for the right show.
Loved the Bryan Adams concert! The people behind this event were great. From arrival at the venue until we left, everything was in order.
Parking was horrible and then unknown to me and friend we had to have low lawn chairs. So back we walked to the car. Then paid money for chair inside. The food people could not tell you where hot coffee was located. Walked to wrong concession stand and no coffee and did not send a runner to the main concession area to get more. Then lawn people had to go out an unfamiliar exit.
Parking is a complete nightmare! Took an hour to get to the parking lot. Probably wont be back!
Love this place! The parking, staff and venue are all first rate!
Great concert venue. The assigned parking lot and directions are convenient and easy to use. Follow the directions provided by the venue.
LOVE this venue! We saw NEEDTOBREATHE here and had such a blast. The setup is very inviting and each staff member was helpful. The drinks are your typical price for a concert venue and the parking was a breeze.
Nice arena but parking is far and an issue. Get there early, they do run out of parking.
I have seen many shows here from Modest Mouse to Florence and the Machine.
It's always clean and easy to park and navigate from one area to another.
I was at Kicks country festival. It kinda let me down. Get get me wrong, the place it's awesome. But 15 a cup of beer, then on Hardy show they didn't put him on big screen and even the lights wasn't on. When I did go buy his shirts, the crew said he took all with him... I understand... Kicks was very unprofessional...
One of the best outdoor venues I have experienced. Great sound...easy to get to. Wish there were more concerts
VZWamp is my favorite outdoor venue in Atlanta. But Lot B (parking garage) is ridiculous and not suitable for many events. This lot does not open until 6pm on weekdays and tailgating is not allowed.
Excellent place for outdoor concerts. Traffic in and out flows much better than expected. Overall a great experience.
It was my first concert (Foreigner) at this venue and I really liked it much better than Lakewood. We had lawn seats and had decent green grass to sit on with a blanket. Drinks where pricey.
I want to send a shout out to the staff. All of you did an amazing job. Entering and exiting was seamless. Thank you so much for making the experience even better.
Great for entertainment and plenty of vendors available for refreshments.
Excellent venue. Pleasant staff, easy access, great concert!
One of my favorite music venues. Safe area with fairly nice cops.
Parking is terrible. I got a hotel 3 miles from site but because of the direction I came to the parking lot I was over an hour late getting in.they did a terrible job letting people in from the north of the parking lot. Very disapointed.
My wife and I saw the music of john William's here. While the ticket itself was reasonably priced I felt the food and drinks were way to high. At times the sound system seemed like it was turned up too high and could not keep up with the orchestra.
We had lawn seats and the weather was bad. Instead of having to sit in the rain, we were upgraded to a box.
Visited for the Train/Goo Goo Dolls concert and pleasantly surprised! Nice venue, easy parking, plenty of food/beverage stands and clean restrooms! Really enjoyed our seats in the orchestra and had no complaints at all. Friendly staff and lines at beverage stands moved quickly.
This venue is top notch. Puts the Cellairis/Lakewood Amphitheater to shame!! Glad to see many artists who frequently held concerts at Lakewood are now using Ameris Bank Amphitheatre! Ex: Dave Matthews Band - will now buy tickets knowing their upcoming show is at Ameris and not Lakewood
Good sound but horrendous seating. The paid seating is premium pricing but they are folding chairs attached together which are super tight. So the seating truly sucks. At least they think enough to hand out ponchos to the people on the lawn if they think it will rain. But there are only two places I shy away from if a show is announced there and that's here and Lakewood. Both are just bad places to see shows overall from.a comfort level.
Had a blast both shows I saw there. Chicago was my first and it was amazing.
The sound is very good, which is why I gave it 2 stars. But the rest was the pits. In order of worse to bad:
The portapotties reek! They're the worst I've ever smelled (seriously) and they do not have a washing station or hand sanitizer (not that they were out of it -- it's not available at all).
People are allowed to smoke there, even at shows that attract lots of young children.
Also, the signage from the highway is insufficient. Google or Waze can locate the venue but not the parking lots.
I went for the symphony, which people are generally quiet for, and people were in the back talking so much and so loudly no ushers came by to ask them to pipe down.
Lastly, the food is expensive ($12 cheeseburger w fries, $10 slice of pizza, $5 water but you can bring your own in an unsealed bottle).
I doubt I'll ever go there again.
Verizon seating could be better. We've only been to Verizon twice ~ once on the lawn and once in the seated section. The lawn actually had a better view of the stage. The amphitheater is not angled enough for you to see beyond the back of the next person's head. Not the best venue in town, but the ceiling fans were running and we had a great time. Drinks were WAY too expensive. Import beer was $12. Wow ~ what a rip off! Will never take those wretched buses to the off-site parking again. I recommend paying $25 extra for VIP parking. Directional signs are not great, but the parking space was. Band was awesome, although could have been a bit louder.
Parking was a nightmare. You need to get to the area at least 2 hours in advance to have a chance of getting to the gate before the show starts. The venue was OK, nothing spectacular really. Luckily the show was out of this world. Most likely I will not come back here again if I'm not desperate to see the show.
Amazing stage. Great comfortable seating and it's outside which is even better for air flow.
This was a lot better than Lakewood Amphitheatre I still think Live Nation blows chunks though but this venue is set up a lot better then Lakewood Amphitheatre
Great venue. Everything is very well done. Park in the B lot if you can, it will get you in close and away from the big entry lines. It was the least used lot when I was there, so easy in and out and super convenient.
This was a great place to see a show. Parking was easy and seating great. Concessions were expectedly pricey, but effecient.
