Van der Valk Hotel Schiphol A4 Review

Excellent meeting location! Easily accessible and tasty coffee.

From the outside you would not expect that it looks so stylish inside. You can clearly see that they are demolishing and renovating outside.

Centrally located to all major cities. 4 star hotel at a good price with free parking. Nice personel. You have to come to terms with the airport, but the windows are soundproof. We recommend. Especially on a weekend trip.

Nice hotel. from the outside one thinks ojeh. but from the inside just great. We stayed in the Amsterdam rooms. Class with open bathroom and balcony. At the back and very quiet. The breakfast is great for a perfect start. Parking is free. The hotel is located directly on the A4. It's a KFC to that. As I de prices in the hotel felt too high. A perfect shuttle bus to the nearby airport !!

Very good and comfortable hotel. Staff is very nice, breakfast is excellent, and there is a free shuttle to the airport.

Good for dinner, no longer what it was for lunch. An excellent restaurant for passers-by and also suitable for children. The very spacious parking lot gives no parking problem.

The great thing, when you book the right package (Park, Sleep & Fly) you can park your car here for 31 days.
We booked on their website to make sure. Parking spots are on the far left when entering the grounds. You can change the parking ticket at the reception for a voucher. The reception personnel was always friendly.
The breakfast was amazing, a lof of choice. See my attached pictures. Everything you can ask for was there
We had the "standard room with bubble bath", which was very! spacey. Clean and comfy bed. We even had a safe and coffee maker. Individual shower and bathtub with jets. Surprisingly 4 big towels, and a series of smaller ones.
I'd definitely stay here again.

We had a "new" room but there was a big dirty stain in the carpet. When we went to shower we saw that there was also a dirty stain in the towel but through the reception we got a new one. I watched what time the pool would open the next day so that we could go for a swim before check out, so we set the alarm very early, there are swimming lessons and we cannot connect. These swimming lessons were not mentioned anywhere.

Huge facility. Rooms are old or partly repaired makeshift. PP is great. Next to the highway, however, when sleeping no problem. Staff was nice and helpful. Breakfast was very good but crowded (very many people). Would definitely stay again if necessary - close to the airport a plus.

The first room was dirty, the AC was broken and there was toilet paper still in the toilet, then we moved to another room, got a room with a completely different view and the TV didn't work.
Then we got another room and just the same.
I was really done with it. That is why I did not leave this hotel at ease and spend the night.
I don't like to come back.

Very nice, huge hotel with a lot of creative design, clean and very nice, friendly service, breakfast, very large selection, food in the restaurant was very tasty and fast.
The only criticism is why the pool and sauna are not open until midnight or the bar
Otherwise top Ah yes the puke cigarette machine hung on it for 10 minutes until I received an age of at the reception :)

I got a budget room cause I was only staying one night as is close to the airport and it was brilliant there was a huge tv (with lots of English channels) the beds were so comfy and soft the shower was great. Even though we were at the back of the hotel it was still a nice view as there's a nice garden to look at when you're sat on the belcony the room itself was warm and toasty it's my second time being there and I loved it both times I recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be close to the airport and have access to the airport for free it's just such a nice hotel

Shuttle service very good. Rooms are clean and large. Only negative is the weird walk to other side of the building where we had our room using several elevators...

It was again a great stay at van der valk, just as we are used by the whole group ... Super hotel with very convenient location.

Great hotel, good sanitary facilities, good beds and clean and tidy room.

Have a nice drink here and at 5 o'clock delicious dinner on the occasion of my mother's 83 year birthday and the steak was wonderfully tender highly recommended and I am sure I will eat you again but just not 5 stars because there is always place for improvement but friendly staff and helpful when leaving It is a mother with a wheelchair brought down the slope super service

Super hotel as a start to your holiday. You can leave the car up to 31 days.

Very useful if you have to fly around traffic jams. Sleep and park in one and take the bus to Schiphol and get it. This way your holiday starts relaxed ... especially if you take a slightly more luxurious room!

Large spacious room with spacious bathroom with bath and separate shower. Professional service-oriented staff. Many amenities: swimming pool, gym, restaurants, shuttle to Schiphol. Overnight stay here entitles you to 3 weeks of free parking, which actually makes the overnight stay free (compared to 3 weeks of parking at Schiphol)

Actually very good indeed. Polite staff, very good food - making allowances for dutch cuisine - worth it.

A sprawling massive airport hotel full of tour groups, weird hours, opaque styling, a huge non-cafeteria-but-really-cafeteria restaurant, and a goofy elevator system.
And the bed was just two smaller beds smooshed together.
And the air conditioner was extremely loud.
But hey, we weren't in very good moods, as we were there on a missed flight voucher.

Nice place to chill out especially in winter. Sitting close to the fire spot.

This hotel is easily accessible by car. It is clean and tidy and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
We were here for 1 night, park & fly. The room was nice, spacious and tidy, the bathroom also looked good.
Nothing to complain about, like at most Vd Valk hotels.

Super with a capital S. What a sweet staff. I was disappointed in the suite I booked for our wedding anniversary as a surprise to my husband when another suite was arranged for us, suite with sauna, jacuzzi and private pool ... eternally grateful, we enjoyed 1000%!

Great when you have to fly from Schiphol the next day. Free shuttle bus. If you know the parking rates at Schiphol, it is converted here to spend the night with a fly-drive arrangement. And breakfast is good and well arranged, starting at 5 a.m.

Beautiful hotel along the highway! Nice facilities such as swimming and fitness! Hotel room was nice and spacious with a balcony. There is a bar, restaurant and various shops where you can also have breakfast, lunch or dinner!

Have booked the hotel in a deal (2 days for 79) and are thrilled. The staff is very friendly and professional and the superior suites are in excellent condition (enough space, very clean, German TV: Pro7, Sat1, RTL, ...). In addition, the Wi-Fi is excellent for a hotel (in both the upload and download tests gave 9 Mbps). Will definitely book again!

Few spare ribs for a high price. Moreover, it just didn't taste good. We are not used to this from this chain. It was probably too busy. The food was on the table fairly quickly. That is different elsewhere on a Saturday night.

One of the best hotels I have visited so far. Had a super weekend. Breakfast was perfectly taken care of and the people who work here make sure that it doesn't become a 4 but a 5 star rating. Super well cared for hotel! Parking no problem.

Large room.. surroundings are nice. Restaurant and casino just across the hotel. Shuttle service to schipol airport is excellent

Large hotel with spacious, modern rooms. Partially this is created via an open bathing area, with of course a closeable douce cabin and a toilet cabin. The restaurant has plenty of choice for everybody and is a busy spot throughout the day. The meeting/training facilities are fine and include a nice coffee machine. Swimming pool is a bit small, but the fitness area has sufficient equipmetnt for both cardio and power training.

Only minus point was that the gait to the outdoor walking/running circuit seemed to be closed and could not be opened with our hotel key.

I noticed some cosmetic defects in my room and was cordially thanked for bringing this to the attention of the reception.

Good food at a reasonable price. However, the staff is generally quite young and inexperienced. Walks around a lot and is more involved with each other than providing service.

Nicely kept hotel, close to the airport and from there by train to Amsterdam

Pretty basic accommodation. Our room didn't even have a fridge nor an ironing board. I would not rate this hotel as advertised.

Nice & clean rooms. Quite hotel. Really close to Shiphol. Wellness and spa centre are really poor, indoor pool, few saunas.... the hotel also offers massage but it's with appointment and it's sport massage which it's not very suitable for this kind of hotel. You must make reservation for dinner from really early hour otherwise you can't have a dinner..... because everything is fully booked.... the shitiest management ever.. . What the hell is this? The hotel has lots of rooms and the end u can't have a dinner because the restaurant it's to small... if you want to watch a tv you must pay ( as you mean in the website it's written it's for free)....

Nice hotel near the highway. Only we had no electricity in the morning. So it was unfortunate and awkward.

Super clean, super nice + great breakfast.
Staff is very nice. What I found sad was that unfortunately only 6 people were allowed into the bathing area at the same time, but the hotel cannot help that, these are the crazy corona requirements. Full 5 stars from me.

No thrills hotel close to Schipol airport (10 minutes by bus), close to major highway stop. That is all.

Great place to stay before leaving on an early morning flight. There is a free bus every 20 minutes that drops you off or picks you up from Schiphol Airport.

Very busy. Service was slow, uninterested and inexpert. Portions were very small. I am used to Van Der Valk differently
